Cypher glanced over at her.
"You're already paying me back enough by letting me stick around..."
Arrogant as he was, the pup felt the need to protect himself by being around others.
John sneezed, snuggling further into Jane's wing.

Jane shrugged, dropping the subject. If Cypher felt they were even, that was that. Returning her attention to her mate, she gently stroked him with her wing. "How do you feel, John?"

The pup mumbled, snuggling the wing.
Cypher sighed, tossing in a few more twigs.

"Perhaps some food would help?" Jane suggested, continuing to stroke her mate gently.

Cypher nudged a couple pieces of fruit over to John, which the pup hungrily dug into.

Jane nodded her thanks to Cypher before laying her head down to watch John eat. If nothing else, perhaps it would get his mind off the cold.

John happily ate the fruit, body still shivering but the pup not minding it so much now.
Cypher pulled over a piece of fruit for himself, digging into it.

Following suit, Jane brushed a piece of fruit over her way and begun to eat. Mmm. She loved fruit. Tasty and absolutely no preparation involved...not that she'd take the time to prepare anything if it did require it.

John quickly finished off his fruit, curling up once done to maintain his body heat.
Cypher ate his own fruit slowly, savoring each bite.

Jane nibbled her own fruit, neither taking her time or devouring it quickly. Once finished, she nuzzled into her mate, adding to his body heat.

John snuggled her, the trembling slowly going away.
Taking his time, Cypher slowly finished off the fruit he had designated at his own.

"Why don't you take a nap John?" the female suggested, stroking him once more with her velvety wing.

John sighed, snuggling the velvety wing.
Cypher hopped up, watching them a moment.
"Why not take him back to where we were..maybe find a little cave of some sort, and build a fire in there?"

Jane nodded, agreeing with the idea. She didn't like being out in the open anyway. In a cave, they would be less vulnerable. The white pup slowly stood, urging her mate to his feet with her nose. "Cypher's right John...we should move."
