Kai had heard the explosion, but paid it little attention to it as he continued on his search.
He tried sniffing out their former captors, but their scent was all over the place already so it was pointless and he started quietly and quickly bursting into rooms, which didn't come up with any results.

After a little while of searching Kai felt something tug on the corner of his thoughts, which he ignored at first..but after awhile he got annoyed and finally followed the feeling. It had led him to a dead end of a hallway with someones office being the only other nearby room.. still the nagging feeling continued and he paced at the end of the hall for a few seconds before repeatedly kicking the wall.
Kai forced his way into a hidden room and glanced around, there were two deadly looking weapons that seemed call to him, but it looked too easy.. He stepped closer to get a better look at the plaque that held the weapons and after a few moments spotted what looked like a weight sensor..

Kai thought for a second and figured that it trigger one of two things.. an alarm or an explosion.. He knew he could take on a handful of humans and probably survive an explosion so he was going to take the risk.
He quickly, but carefully, swiped the twin weapons off the plaque and bolted out of the room, Kai was just a bit slow and the small explosion forcefully threw him a dozen feet into the hall.

He coughed a little as he got back on his feet and glanced at his..twin shuriken where they called? Kai did a few test swipes in the air then on the wall, which he found they could cut through without too much effort.

Kai sighed contently as he resumed his search for the hiding humans.
