Nexus arrived at the training grounds and was quickly back into the groove of training. He opened the scroll he had received from Kaede. He looked through the section that had katon ninjutsu in it. He was glad to find this. He needed to finish learning all of the jutsu that he could and these were the most useful. The one he spotted first was Katon Housenka no Jutsu. It was a primarily offensive technique and it was one of the first useful techniques that Nexus would learn other than his own customs techniques. Nexus would start by focusing the chakra into his mouth and building up heat. His heat training before made this an easy task. After all, his Burning Ash technique did require a large amount of discipline to master. Nexus would focus on building the heat for a few minutes until he would become comfortable.

Once Nexus got comfortable with this level of heat, he would take in a deep breath and hold it in his lungs. He could feel the power of fire growing inside him. He loved this feeling, the feeling to release a wave of destruction through a strong, outward breath. It was a good thing that Nexus had the discipline needed to control this power. After holding his breath for a while, Nexus was ready to use this new technique. He released the breath in a violent outburst, accompanied with a small roar. Nexus shot out multiple blasts of fire into the air. The flames traveled upwards and then fizzled out before they had the chance to come back down. The technique was pretty simple learn. After all, it wasn't that complex at all.
[2/2] Katon Housenka no Jutsu [Learned]
Nexus sifted through the scroll of jutsu until he came across another technique, Katon: Hoteri Ougigata no Jutsu. It could be useful if done, right, but it wasn't nearly as useful as the previous jutsu that Nexus just learned. However, he needed to learn all the jutsu he could so that he could be better than all the rest. He needed to excel above everybody so that he could finally be respected enough to be considered a great shinobi. Nexus sat down and began to focus. The technique started out the same way as the previous one so it wouldn't be too hard to get it down. Nexus would gather his chakra for a bit and then focus it all into his mouth. He felt the heat rise. This was good.

Nexus would then take in a nice, deep breath and then quickly infuse his chakra into it. The air heated up and he felt the flames beginning to ignite. Nexus would then instantly blow the air out in front of him. He wasn't aiming to make this like a bullet, but rather into the shape of a fan. And so he did. He shot out a stream of flames that spread out wide and didn't travel more than three meters in front of him. Success! It was a simple technique, though. Nexus could definitely do it. There was no doubt about it.
[2/2] Katon: Hoteri Ougigata no Jutsu [Learned]
Nexus now came across another good jutsu to learn after he sifted through the scroll a little bit more. It was a clone technique. These were very useful tools in combat. They could be used for deception, attack, defense, and they were great when performing a counterattack on an opponent. Now, for the fun part, the training. Nexus would focus his chakra and then simply create a clone. This clone wasn't quite right, though. Nexus threw a large rock and struck the clone on the head. It just simply poofed away without creating so much as a cinder. So Nexus perform a regular clone jutsu rather than the desired technique. This would take some more practice.

Nexus went over it again in his head. He realized what he had forgotten to do when performing the technique. He never added his own elemental affinity into the clone. Nexus would focus his chakra and brace his body. He would flip through the hand seals quickly and with ease, unlocking his chakra points in the correct sequence and prepared to use his technique. As his chakra surged, he pumped in the fire nature affinity he possessed into the chakra and gave it power. As he finished the process, Nexus focused on the image of himself. He knew it well. It was well-sculpted and handsome. It was the image of a man with confidence and the ability to achieve great things. He had it! He had the image of himself prepared in his head. This would be easy. Nexus released his chakra and a clone would appear. It was flawless. It looked exactly like him. Now was the moment of truth. Would the clone function properly? Nexus picked up another large rock that he found near him. He didn't question why there were a large amount of big rocks near him, he just simply lobbed it into the air and let it land atop the head of the clone. The clone would then detonate and send flames bursting out in every direction. They were low power, but they would be devastating in close-range and in large numbers. Nexus had now succeeded again in learning a new technique.
[2/2] Katon: Yojin Bunshin no Jutsu [Learned]
Now, Nexus found the last technique of this element that he could learn for a while. It was a useful technique; Katon: Hi Shinten no Jutsu could be used to amplify the attack power of a weapon by covering it flame. That was great for Nexus. He would be learning how to use weapons soon once he finished his ninjutsu and taijutsu training, so this was a smart technique to learn. Nexus would start by concentrating the chakra into his mouth, just as he had been doing before, followed by a quick breath of air. He would hold his breath for a bit until he could feel the flames beginning to build. This was easy for him to accomplish now that he had had all of this training with the other techniques. However, this was just the easy part.

Next, Nexus would whip out a kunai. He would channel his chakra through it until he coated the weapon completely in his chakra. It was ready to receive the enhancement now. The chakra was there to hold the flames onto it. Nexus would then breathe out the flames that he was storing and they would wrap around his kunai. The flames would attach to the blade and burn brightly. Yet another success. Nexus would wave the blade around and get a feel for it. There was no weight difference, but he could feel the power in it. It had the power of fire, and that was something to be coveted dearly.
[2/2] Katon: Hi Shinten no Jutsu [Learned]
Nexus then turned to face his cousin. Nexus wiped a bit of sweat from his forehead and then smiled. "Well I got a few ninjutsu mastered. Now it's time to continue your training. Are you ready?" Nexus would then pull out the scroll and search through it. "This next technique is the False Surroundings Technique. It's name basically gives you the gist of it, but I'll explain anyway. You want to alter the images I see into a reality that you want me to see. This is best used, however, when making a subtle change that can have big effects. Now, try to make me see something that isn't here."

Katon Housenka no Jutsu (Fire Release: Mythical Fire Flower Technique)
The user will focus their chakra towards their mouth in the form of heat to begin the technique. After taking in a deep breath, they will expel it at once, shooting multiple blasts of fire outward. Shurikens are then thrown towards the flame balls, to be hidden inside of them, which creates the element of surprise.
Katon: Hoteri Ougigata no Jutsu (Fire Release: Flash Fan Technique)
The user breaths in deeply, building up the air in their lungs while performing the handseals for the jutsu. They then exhale, and breath out what looks to be a fan of flames. The flames are in a 'V' shape, and last only a few seconds. They shoot out to about 3m, though since the technique ends fast, it doesn't actually cause much damage. In the hands of the right person, this technique can be quite useful, as it only takes 3 handseals to perform.
Katon: Yojin Bunshin no Jutsu (Fire Release: Ember Clone Technique)
At this level, the clone is quite weak and can only really serve as a distracted more so than a viable combat replacement. However, it does have its uses, which alongside detonating upon destruction or on command, are numerous.
Note: The clone only has 1/10 the ability of the original user.
Katon: Hi Shinten no Jutsu (Fire Release: Flame Spread Technique)
This technique allows the user to envelope any weapon or item they may be holding in a blanket of flames. Despite the item being covered in fire, it is not harmed. The flame can only reach up to 3ft, or the length of a medium sized sword.

Mifune was glad that his cousin still found time to conduct his own training and still teach him. He memorized his cousin's words and began to think. He still felt bad for ******** with his cousin in that last genjutsu so he decided to do something he though is cousin would like. Even though he would know right away it was an illusion the intent was there. He formed a single handsign and maneuvered his chakra into his cousin's retina's and began to alter the way it interpreted light. Soon entire packs and cartons of cigarettes appeared all over the place. He knew how much his cousin loved them and figured he would get a kick out of it. He chuckled and said," What do you think."

Nexus looked around and laughed at the illusion of cigarettes. "Really? I like it, but next time try giving me the illusion that there's beautiful women everywhere! Hahaha! That would be much better!" Nexus would wait until the illusion faded and he was back in his actual reality. "Now that we've finished with that, I guess it's time to continue or training. Now, I've selected another one from this list," he said as he gestured to the list of genjutsu. "This next one is just like the jutsu you used before. You're going to first distract me with something by dropping it. You then use this moment to cast an illusion that I'm envisioning the worst possible scenario for me. And we both know that the one you used before was probably the worst, so I'm going to most likely be going through the same thing again. Once you perform the technique, I'll let you know how it goes." Nexus then braced himself for the worst possible thing that could happen to him, the loss of his looks.
Magen: Narakumi No Jutsu (Demonic Illusion: Vision of Hell Technique)
Type: Painful Reality Change
Trigger: Hands
Description: A low level illusion skill, which makes the opponent envision a very traumatic scene. The genjutsu is created when the target watches the caster let sand, leaves, or other small things slip through his or her fingers onto the ground. The jutsu forces the target to think about the worst event possible for them because falling is considered to be a bad omen, and then capitalizes on that by making the target see it happen.

Mifune felt trepidation about exposing his cousin to his fears again. He really did not want to but it was not his fault if so many genjutsu involved fear but oh well, what must be done must be done. He steeled himself as he pulled a single kunai from his belt and held it in his hand and then opened his palm. As the kunai fell to the ground its forward weight made it land tip first as it fell Mifune formed a handsign as he took a deep breath. The instant it made contact it was on and Mifune unleashed hell on his cousin's mind . While he took no pleasure in doing so it still gave him a bit of a power trip in doing so. In bending people to his will. He tried to repress it but he couldn't it just felt to good. That dark part of him loved every single second of it.

Kaede was very easily distracted when she wasn't serious, so this 'shiny' was a perfect shot at her attention. She wheeled about, and chased after it, not able to catch the shiny. It landed on the ground and Kaede wanted it. The moment she took a step towards the shiny, she stopped and her eyes widened. Kaede wheeled about, suddenly having forgotten what she wanted. As she walked away, Kaede's face was visibly confused. She turned around again, remembering the shiny. Once again, when she left the area of the genjutsu Kaede stopped. Eyes widened again, and she forgot. This happened five more times before Kaede realized it was the genjutsu she had showed Manami. Her hands came together, and she released the technique with ease.
She returned, with the shiny in her hands. "Kaede would like to say that is not funny. Not in the slightest." She said in between pursed lips. "But Mr. Fluffykins thought it was quite the gag." Kaede said, pulling out a scroll of Raiton Genjutsu, storing the universal genjutsu scroll. "You've learned what you can for the universal techniques, congratulations. Now I'll teach you the Raiton Techniques. The first one is a Distraction type, with no catalyst. It is called the Cloud Cover Technique. You will create a small cloud very close to the ground, only a foot in diameter. It cannot raise any higher than where it starts on the ground, and is used to conceal some sort of trap or something. It only lasts for about [enter correct RP time to relate to 3 posts]." She said, turning to see if Takeshi had done anything yet.

[Genin] [Ranmaru] [Konoha] An amused expression dominated Manami's face as he watched Kaede stride back and forth; set on getting the shiny object, and then a moment later walking back in confusion. It took a bit of effort for him not to laugh again, this girl was being entirely too amusing. Once her attention returned to him, his joy slowly faded to black with a probability to return if she kept up her antics.
While listening along with another portion of her mini-lecture he nodded, setting himself on yet another jutsu. It seemed very simple, certainly an academy level jutsu from his element. He would have preferred it if she went over all of this first, but maybe she had forgotten he had raiton? She was a little girl after all, instead of a full-fledged teacher. That didn't matter, he decided, focusing on his chakra instead of the peculiar girl in front of him. Honestly, he didn't think this was a specific genjutsu, just an attempt to cover up traps for those who aren't too observant. The problem though, was that the technique was more than likely going to make a trap easier to spot. With a sigh he reached into his kunai pouch, posing the action to look like he was just stuffing his hands into his pocket, and began walking away. He dropped the weapon in front of his legs in an attempt to conceal it, and set the genjutsu. If Kaede was still gullible, or cared about the training at all, she would chase at him and trip over the handle of the weapon. Which would obviously be concealed by the cloud the moment she moved.

Before her teacher could reply, Setsuna scampered off for no apparent reason. However, just as suddenly as she had scampered off, the girl had stopped. She yawned and then sat down where she was standing. There was nothing else for her to do. Her recent action had left her teacher-less and she wasn't experienced enough to learn by herself. Well, no, there wasn't nothing for her to do, there was never nothing for Setsuna to do. Always, she had at least one task, to be as random as possible. Setsuna laid down and began rolling on the grass like a log. The girl kept on rolling, leaving the clearing that formed the main training ground, until she felt and saw something rough and metallic around her. "Shiny!" Setsuna exclaimed as she stopped on her back and raised both hands in the air as if she was trying to catch the metallic sand in the air. The white-haired girl had just rolled right into Miho's training area. -o-Havik-o- It's about time Setsuna and Miho met up, eh whee ? I hope you don't mind sweatdrop ?

 ____________________________Miho_______ Konohagakure / Assassin / Genin / Iron Sand [RP day 3]Miho heard the ruffle in the sand to late, in her exhausted state the young white haired girl was able to sneak up on her while being loud. Though annoyed with herself for being caught off guard, the young girls antics were cute, and made Miho want to play, so when made the sand dance around, sway back and forth for the girl to play with, and even when she did grasp some it would just slither out of her hands. After some time of playing Miho spoke dully saying "I need food, want to come with me?" Even though she wasn't one for companionship Miho liked the girls joyful antics, she did not hold the same air of hostility, or superiority. It made Miho feel nice, but when she stood all the burns and aches shocked her body making her cringe. But she stood, and endured standing tall, and strong as she waited to see if the young girl was coming along. [Chakra Pool: 22/25]

While playing with the sand, Setsuna maintained the childish personality she first showed Miho. However, it wouldn't be long until she did something or other that would likely throw Miho off-balance. When she was asked if she wanted to join Miho for a meal, the girl gave a monotone, "No, I'm tired," as her reply while smiling and nodding her head in the gesture that usually meant a positive. She remained lying down, which simply added to the awkwardness of the scene.

Kaede crossed her arms over her chest, wondering how stupid Manami thought she was. She walked over to the cloud and kicked at it until it dissipated. "Clouds are actually pretty easy to see, that was an incredibly useless technique. Perhaps Kaede was not vertically challenged it may have work. She is much too close to the ground to fall for tha-" She said as she walked over the kunai an tripped on it. Kaede got up without a word, and moved onto the next technique. "Kaede would like for you to never bring what just happened up ever again. Or she will rip out your eyes." She said, a smile on her face. "The next technique is the Thunder Voice Technique. You're victim must be able to hear you in order for this to work. All this does is make you sound incredibly loud. This can be used as a scare tactic at best." Kaede said, waiting for Manami to work his magic again. She may look young and naive, but Kaede certainly did not make it to jounin by being cute and cuddly.

[Genin] [Ranmaru] [Konoha] He held back his laughter, turning back to Kaede with one of his hands lightly clamped over his mouth. Again, he almost couldn't believe how funny this little girl was being, and almost predictable. Did people like this really exist in the world? Or is her age really all there is to blame? Even though training with her was bringing joy to his face, he really wasn't in the mood for it. In fact, he has never been in the mood for happiness, just run-of-the-mill neutrality and contentedness. Right now he would bear it, maybe enjoy it for while it lasted.
His chakra swirled as he focused it once more, becoming familiar with how it felt through all of this training. At first he focused it around his vocal chords, but dismissed it when he remembered that the jutsu was a genjutsu. How foolish, he thought, sending his invisible tendrils into the chakra of Kaede. His footsteps were light as he moved back toward her, opening his mouth to speak. "I'm quite sure not many jutsu at this level are useful." He said, his voice booming in its trademark feminine quality.
Soon afterward he could feel and intense tiredness blanket itself over his mind, and his body. For a moment he hadn't even realized what it was until he briefly recounted what he had been doing here. All of this training had exhausted most of his chakra, and he didn't notice due to the antics of the little girl before him. Before she continued attempting to train hm any further, he gave the girl a slight wave. "I'm tired." He announced, turning on his heels and walking off of the training grounds.

Nexus was trapped in the illusion for a little while and once he broke out, he felt exhausted. He had been put in the same illusion that he had been struck by leprosy and it scared him more than anything. He stood up straight and smoked another cigarette and he then waltzed over to a tree, where he would take a seat and rest himself for a while. He turned his head to look at his cousin and then scowled. "b*****d.... Okay, we're taking a break now. And after I get some rest, I'll start you on some Ninjutsu."

Mifune smirked at his cousin's words and said," Sure sounds good to me." He sat down up against a tree with a smile and waited. He was glad that he could continue his training. It was good idea to take a break from genjutsu and work on ninjutsu for a bit.

____________________________Miho_______ Konohagakure / Assassin / Genin / Iron Sand [RP day 3]A bit put off by the girl answering yes, and no Miho simple turned and walked away, she didn't make it two steps before she knew that the girls odd behavior would be very comforting, so to entice the young girl Miho slithered the shiny metal sand behind her in the tall grass, and exited the grounds, she was hoping the girl would follow suit since she seemed so eager to play with the sand, but would continue weather or not she was being followed. [exit to restaurant].
