 WAVEPELTA loner by heart . . .

Wavepelt kept on running and soon found a shallow part of the river. He jumped in and tried to wash the loner scent off. He jumped out and shook himself with a sigh "that should work, now, how to explain this to Serpent". Once he was completely dry he sat down and waited for Serpent.

[She quickly caught up and skid to a sudden stop when she saw Wavepelt. She smiled with excitement written all over her cheerful face! She ran up to him and ran in happy circles around him.] "Hay Wavepelt! Serpent was wondering where you have been! heheh your all wet, did you fall in or were you trying to catch a fish?" [She smiled ans tilted her head playfully.] "Have you seen another cat around here? Serpent was following someone but she thinks she may have lost them."

Wavepelt smiled and started purring "um, yeah, I needed to say goodbye to my adoring fans at the twoleg forest." He laughed "and, um, yeah, I saw a cat, but when I tried chasing them they tripped me and I fell in the river!"

Wavepelt has fans? sweet![She pictured Wavepelt as the leader of his own cat band performing late nights in the old abandoned mansion. she could see hundreds of adorning fans meowing at them on stage!] "....awesome! well, i wonder why that other cat was in such a hurry, Serpentpaw isn't scary is she?" [She looked at Wavepelt with anticipation, waiting for his response.]

Wavepelt frowned at her question and rolled his eyes "no, of course not Serpent. It was probably a kittypet that actually believes the rediculous rumors about forest cats. About how we eat the bones of our enemies, or kill any cat not born in the forest". He sighed "they're iritating now that I am one".

[Serpentpaw tilted her head, confused. she had never heard of such a ridiculous rumor before, but did Wavepelt just say that he was one?] "You are a kittypet now? like Shadow?" [She had thought about the stories Shadow had told about his life with the 2 legs. how he was unhappy.] "...are you happy around the 2 legs? they dont try to harm you??" [She asked with a mix of wonder, curiosity, confusion and a hint of concern.] "the dogs there dont bother you?"

[Serpentpaw felt embarrassed for her misunderstanding. she shyly tried to find something else to look at and distract her. she looked up and notice a large, graceful bird of pray hovering above the trees. searching.] "Look Wavepelt! Serpent hasent seen a bird like that since Galestar's mother last visited!"

Wavepelt raised an eyebrow and looked up "Galestar's mom?" He stopped, and his eyes went huge, he looked at Serpent "run!"

[She flinched at Wavepelt's fearful reaction! She bolted for the safety of the shadows as the giant monster bird swooped down and scarred the earth where the 2 cats had been standing no less then a few seconds ago! Serpentpaw's eyes grew fearful as her eyes scanned the plane for Wavepelt. she dare not call out his name, in fear that it would give away her location to the predatory bird.] Where did you run too? [She glared at the bird as it returned to the sky and circled around. she wanted to fight, but she was not about to go and do something stupid. it had the advantage.]

Wavepelt had just bolted away without looking, and managed to run into the river. He closed his eyes and held his breath. But he had to surface for air quickly, and to catch his breath. He jumped out of the water and raced away, the hawk following him from above. He saw a small group of bushes and jumped in them, his breathing extremely fast. He could see the hawk, it was just circling above, waiting for one of them to come out.

[Serpentpaw saw Wavepelt leap from the river an make a bold dash for the bushes! she silently slithered through the vegetation until she reached Wavepelt.] "Why do you think it is here? Serpent hasn't seen them here before!" [She whispered. she looked p at the bird that circled in the sky. they would NEVER be able to get anyware with that bird hovering over their heads like that! she thought for a long while, she then looked up at Wavepelt with a nervous look on her face.] "Serpentpaw thinks she has an idea to get rid of it or at least injure it, but it is dangerous... do you have any ideas?"

[Serpentpaw didnt like the thought of leading the bird to the clan.] "Do you remember how i taught you to hunt birds? we could gang up on it, pull it down, and hurt its wing. we can use a pebble to get is attention just like we do for the small birds. what do you think?"

Wavepelt frowned and shook his head "n-no that's way too dangerous." He started looking around, and noticed a rabbit, completely oblivious to the hawk and he smirked. Wavepelt looked at Serpent "that's our ticket" he said, pointing his tail at the rabbit.
