Just have some questions that recently migled in to my mind.
I just saw Vulpeculae and Birthan Isaat's spheres and, arent them the same thing?
rosemilk: Renewal -- renewed activity, growth. Restoration -- the repair of something still there to its ordinary condition. Subtle differences, not the same spheres. As well as the fact that the two people have done this s**t entirely differently makes me contented.
Does stampers only stamp RL slotted quests?
Prophet: I think you need to read the quest subforum stickies. There is a stamping thread for anyone with a quest thread to get their active, prioritized quest stamped. The stamping that takes priority is anyone who already has their character art from Natsube - there is a separate thread for them, and at this time, raffle winners are taking precedence.
Stamping just means a character has met shop approval. If someone has won a slot or have their art, getting stamped and accepted means they are able to RP their character. Without stamps and official character art from one of the staff artists, you cannot RP in the shop.
When will Natsu do custims? I just feel like its taking to long.
Prophet: 'Customs' are not done here the way they are done in other shops. In most cases, in order to win a character, you must enter a writing competition and win. There are student competitions held monthly, and upgrade competitions held approximately every other month. You will have to wait until the next competition to try for a character. This is not an instant gratification environment, and Natsube does high quality art, which takes time.
Natsube: (changing my posting colour since tig and I post with the same one) ANYWAY. I've made noises about doing gaian based gold customs, but to be honest, they probably won't happen. At this point, I've made too much money and I definitely don't feel comfortable opening slots giving me more money when I really don't have anything to spend it on.
That being said, I prowl the questing forum and have 3? things I believe that will be showing up from quests. RP contests are always free, and we'll probably hold another custom contest. I do NOT need to make more money right now, and wish to do things on gaia that are free.
Besides that, 4 customs, and one semi custom, were released in the raffle. That will take awhile to do, not to mention my RL list.
Uri, if you have nothing nice to say, don't say it at all. You tend to come across very accusatory and it's very disheartening to hear that I am "taking too long" on things I don't remember promising. I don't understand how customs that are expensive are somehow better than customs that are free.
Sorry if I am coming across badly, I just don't like being accused of something in this public manner.

I know that the itnotm staff probably have a mountain load of stuff planned to do but I was wondering if there's anything happening with white court cavaliers? We've seen progress on the parallels but we havent heard too much about the white court (excluding Juventus news?) smile
codalion: There's stuff planned for every faction, I can guarantee you. smile

If I RP'd Eskimo and Orion (both my characters) fighting a youma together would it count as a solo or a battle? Given of course each character had at least 450 words in the RP.
codalion: A solo -- any other kind of RP needs at least two players' participation to constitute an RP.

Cuter: BERYL IS JUST JEALOUS OF CASTOR'S BADASSERY. THATS THE ONLY REASON YOU WON'T LET HIM GO NEGA. GAWSH. :U
ANYWAY, ICly, Marlo went to Hillworth only to stay by Elzo's side. As Elzo is graduating, can I have Marlo transfer to Meadowview?
codalion: I can only speak from an RP perspective here, but from an RP perspective, I should think so -- Dylan's doing the same thing for his senior year this fall.
rosemilk: This is fine.

This is simply out of curiosity and eager to RP with the friends I've made in this shop.
I'll cut to the chase: Is it possible for custom raffle winners to receive the school kid/civilian of their powered character before the senshi form is done?
Someone suggested that and I thought it wouldn't hurt asking.
Prophet: Yes, but the quest has to get two stamps of approval first. LizzyMoo will not make the schoolkid/civilian form of a custom until the quest is approved, as all RPed characters have to go through the stamping process.
Think of it this way - let's say you got art of your civilian before your quest was approved, but while you were working on your quest, you change your mind and want to make a whole different character. But you're stuck with a specific character name and appearance already! So we like to make sure everything's settled and working first.
The raffle winners who got predrawn senshi and Negaverse got their schoolkids premade before stamping also, because the senshi/negaverse appearances were already set. But they still can't RP them until their quest gets two stamps of approval.
Oh! I completely understand. ^^ I imagined that the stamps were necessary, exactly for the reasons you explained. Though thank you for taking the time to explain it so throughly. I'll get back to working on my character. Thanks again, buh-bye ~<3

Who would win in a catfight: Aphrodite or Aries?
rosemilk: Aries thinks you mean Ares here, as she certainly wouldn't indulge in this kind of thing.
No, I most deff meant Aries. smile
Shazari: How do I love this question? Let me count the ways. biggrin Though I'm pretty sure the answer to this question is, "Who does Nehelenia command is going to be the winner of this 'spar'?"
Hahah, Nehelenia and her pokemon court!!
Shazari: Ohhhhh, you did mean Aries after all! Oops, my bad. In that case I'll let Rose and Cuter duke this one out. biggrin

THAT REMINDS ME.
Who would win in a catfight, Laocoon or Hector?
biggrin
rosemilk: I asked the excellent Chibi Sheepcat to assist me in answering this question! CHIBI HELP ME ANSWER THIS QUESTION
Chibi Sheepcat: ROOOFL UH GOOD QUESTION I'd say it would depend on what reward Dylan/Alex promised to the winner.
rosemilk: Most importantly, is this fight taking place in a tub of jello?
Chibi Sheepcat: THAT TOO. The more jello the better.
rosemilk: In short, I would say everyone is the winner on the day except the jello.
Chibi Sheepcat: I concur wholeheartedly.
codalion: Alex isn't sure what kind of "reward" we're talking about here.

Real question here:
Would it bar a character out from being a parallel if you couldn't find an IC reason for Corinna to choose them? For example... Your character doesn't really (typically) get along with other girls?
Would it be alright just to assume that they would receive a soul in one of those "emergency" situations mentioned in the "meet the parallel court" thread? Or would you prefer we found a reason for Corinna to pick them?
Shazari: Emergency situations are fine -- just let us know that's what you have in mind, and how you imagine the character integration to go, considering the host and parallel may be a bit at odds, or the host and the queen might be! <3 That way we'll know that what you're going for will ultimately work out.

SO, I have a few questions, again xD 1. Who exactly can sense Youma? I know the BP kids can, for sure. But can lieutenants/captains/generals/Charonite/Beryl/corrupted senshi sense them too? Can senshi sense them (when henshined, of course)? 2. The senshi cells can make phonecalls to non-senshi lines because the jack signal off of the towers (according to the mass group RP, anyways), but can they text as well? Or is it limited to calling? Shazari: You can text, but I wouldn't recommend using your senshi cellphone to make personal calls/text if you don't HAVE to -- too much misuse of company resources is a dangerous thing!3. Do you always float like Sailor Moon did when henshining up? Or can you, say, do the sequence if your laying down on the ground? Could you henshin up in a locker? Can you open your eyes during it? Shazari: Could you, would you, in a box? Would you, could you, with a fox? The answer to all those questions is more or less yes, so long as you can get to your henshin item.(okay, so the last question isn't important really. Just curious xD)

I'm not sure if this has been answered or not, so I'm sorry if it's already been asked and I just missed it. gonk
I know that ItnotM doesn't have newbie-only events, but is there any particular reason why this is? I know a lot of the same people try in every event, but still have no luck (myself included).
Not trying to be intrusive or judgmental or anything; mainly just curious as to the reason behind it.
Natsube: The reason is this: in most shops where the art is custom like this is, you will NEVER see newbie only events. The reason being, almost everyone IS a newbie, with very few characters. We are in a bit of a different position because while the shop is custom art, there are a lot of characters-- either purchased through RL slots, won in auctions/raffles/events or just through the strength and creativity of their RP, general helpfulness around the shop, etc etc etc. We want to give out things based on strength of writing, NOT newness. The fact that people have more than one is not a detriment to anyone else-- the fact is, a lot of people have not only bought things, but won things as well, and they shouldn't be punished for being worthy because they have more than anyone else. We do not want to do newbie only events because this just isn't one of those sorts of shops-- if you deserve something, you deserve it. If you don't win anything the first time, keep on working at things and you may get it. But we are an RP shop first and foremost and there is no reason to hold newbie events from my point of view.
Er, as a continuation: Not having newbie events isn't supposed to be a detriment or make you guys feel like you have no chances-- we do civilian events and a lot of the time people with no chars get something. I'd rather do more upgrades for people who have civilians but no chars (both people last time fit in this category) than just a straight newbie only event.
Ah, I understand that now, thank you very much. I wasn't trying to say that it's wrong or stupid or anything; I was just curious. But I get it now. I guess it's just frustrating to me when I've tried in event after event after event with no luck, and am wayyyy too poor to do RL commissions. xD But I definitely, totally get your reasoning, and I will keep doing my best in every event. n__n

Can we get some clarification on the rules about cosplay characters? My understanding of it at this point is that you can't dressing-room / AU an existing canon character -- appearance, personality and all -- into this game, but a little bit of inspiration appearance or personalitywise is okay, is this correct?
codalion: It's pretty impossible to avoid inspiration from media when making characters: fact is, we all draw from various sources to make our characters, there probably is no such thing as a totally original character and if there was it probably wouldn't be very good anyway. (Just ask TVTropes.) However, there's a careful distinction between homage and ripoff, and between archetype and stereotype: generally ripping major/complex things wholecloth is a no-no. It's not an exact science, but it is an art, and functionally what matters the most is: does this character make sense for In the Name of the Moon? Does this character make sense in Destiny City? Did you create this character with some color and inspiration from outside sources, or did you copy the character and then try to change it to look a little different? And can you pull it off?
Don't underestimate the intelligence of critters, GMs, and other players: we can recognize a lot more than you might assume! But ultimately what it comes down to is -- is this a good character for this storyline and setting and do they make sense here?
Unless, of course, this wasn't actually the question you were asking, in which case oops.
Natsube: And from an art standpoint, as long as it's not stealing everything whole-hog from a character, I am usually ok with it-- outfits are usually the most ok, since we in real life see ads in magazines and wish to replicate. So, with that assumption in mind, seeing similar outfits or hairdos to characters is OK. Now, if someone wanted Cloudu Strifu, with Cloudu Strifu hair and Cloudu Strifu sword and Cloudu Strifu emotional constipation... that would be a non-no.

Randomly thought this, but since a corrupted senshi is still technically a senshi, does that mean a (good) cavalier could plug into them? rofl
Shazari: The simple answer here is 'not quite.' Which is, of course, no answer at all. ^_~

Given of course each character had at least 450 words in the RP. codalion: A solo -- any other kind of RP needs at least two players' participation to constitute an RP.Going along with this question, if I had two of my own characters meet and wrote a solo with this interaction of 900 words, would that be eligible to count as a solo for both characters? (What about if it was only 450, for curiosity's sake?) codalion: Hmm. My call there would be no, because otherwise there'd then be no reason people couldn't write 900-word solos about one character and have it count as two solos. Which is a reasonable question, but not our current policy.

What does Sailor Selene rate in Helens, that is to say, the Objective Scale of Ship-Launching and Arson? For that matter, could I also get an estimate on Beryl, Astraea, Hematite and Kunzite? One of these things is not like the other~codalion: Kunzite begs your pardon?Shazari: I believe theoretically the Marcasite Crystal rates exactly 1 Helen of ship-launching, and the Pyrite Crystal exactly 1 Helen of city-razing. biggrin Selene is flattered at the implication this has something to do with her looks!

What would happen if a host was 100%, utterly heterosexual and kind of homophobic, but received a homosexual soul? Would it just make for some interesting RP, or would the merged personality end up being bisexual?
Orrrr, would one soul feel so overwhelmingly in love with boobs (or other parts) that they completely shut out the other soul's sexual preferences?
codalion: That depends on how you want to play it, doesn't it. biggrin
rosemilk: Again, this is basically how you'd like to play this -- this could translate to anything. Could be your previous soul is attracted to lanky redheads. Could be you are solely attracted to ravynn-haired musclemen. Do you then become attracted to ravynn-haired noodles, or redheaded muscly guys? It's up to how important it is to both characters, but "heterosexual character receives previous homosexual identity" would be interesting to play given enough thoughtfulness and sensitivity.
