... I have to roll D20s for my attacks anyway, I don't know why I didn't just do that...
I'm waiting on some stat approvals in the OoC, but I'm going to assume they are applied for calculation.
Kyle will use Reaver of Will, which was previously charged, followed by a basic attack.

Against the ability:
DEF: 10

Damage: 34 - 19 = 15
Against the attack:
DEF: 7

D20 Roll: 10

Damage: 40 - 17 = 23
Edit: second DEF is lowered due to the first attack being successful. The ability takes 25% of the shadow's DEF (2.5, round to 3) and gives to Kyle's STR.
