"Seriously, I agree with Nova-san, let's eat!" said Hisakata, tilting her head, "So late arrivals are tested differently, or the same? What is the test, by the way Bukotsu-kun?"

"Well, they were testing only me, many others were just accepted and not tested, I was to be accepted for being a late arrival, and they had me do a test instead, they are all different I think, but mine involved me sitting in a dark room where I couldn't see, smell, hear, taste, and feel, they wanted to see me to use the shinigami sixth sense," Bukotsu said as they passed the deathstone wall, "Thank you for the compliment Nova san, but it's really my father's design, and they really wouldn't test anyone now I think," Bukotsu said looking at his bags.
Before long all three of them appeared at the left direction of his house, the only entrance was at the front gate to the north. His bag was abit moist from the cold of the strawberries and fruits. Before long they were at the front gate, an oriental chinese design gate embroidered with green and golds of dragons. With the wave of a hand, Bukotsu had the doors open as he watied for his two new friends to walk in. With that the yard seemed to be a long walk to the house, seeing as there were fountains and flowers everywhere, and not to mention the guest houses. Outside the house just before the door stood an elderly man and young boy.

"Yeah, I didn't go through any testing. I was... " Nova gasps at the front gate opens. He slowly takes in the grounds of the estate. "Wow... Its much bigger looking than it was on the outside!" Nova suddenly becomes a bit jealous of Bukotsu as he walks across the yard. His eyes are drawn to the elderly man and young boy standing in front of the front gate. "I thought you said you had no family left, Bukotsu-san. Who are they?"

"They are the family caretakers, Nova-san, Hiskata-chan, this man here is the family caretaker, Tsuda Masataka, and that young boy is Takayanagi Masataka, his grandson.
"Please to meet you young miss and young master," Tsuda said bowing and rising.
"Very nice to have normal guests here on the estate for a change! By the way you can just call me Taka, " Takayanagi said jumping up and down. He was only 6 years old, but he would later have the behaved attitude like a very mature adult in a manner Bukotsu would.
The front door opened with a teenage girl about 14 years of age in a purple and blue kimono, "What's all the noise about?"She asked quizzically, then suddenly seeing Bukotsu she bowed, "Ah! Kotsu-kun! You're back! How was your first day at the academy?" She said still bowing to him.
"Umm well there wasn't anyone at the school Misato, and well I ended up bringing some friends along, let's take care of them ok?" Bukotsu smiled, " I brought you some strawberries at the marketplace," Bukotsu said handing her one bag, and gave Tsuda and Taka the other bags.
Misato graciously took the bag of strawberries, "Thank you Kotsu-kun," the strawberries were still cold. She looked over at Nova and Hisakata, "Oh my! Pardon my rudeness, I'm Misakata, the head maid and nurse here on the Kusanagi estate".

Hisakata bowed, while admiring the house and strawberries, "It's nice to meet you, Misakata-san. ...both of you went to testing? ...ugh, then I'm really late. Do you think they'll let me in?"

"Hmmm, let's hope they do," Bukotsu said walking in, "Anyways are we here to have lunch or are we here to just stand around like dolls?" Bukotsu said walking in.
Taka and Misato followed after Bukotsu. Tsuda smiled and waited for the Hisakata and Nova to walk in, "You two should go in, and I hope you enjoy your stay and hope you Bukotsu's cooking, it's very delicious," Tsuda said as he gave them a light shove in, but it felt as if a stong man was pushing them in.
"Sorry about that, I guess I haven't moved around in awhile," Tsuda said as he closed the doors, with that the front gate close as well. "Please follow the hall until you reach the intersection of the halls, make a left there and you will find yourself in the den, please make yourselves at home, I will come and get you when Bukotsu is done cooking".
Bukotsu, Taka, and Misato had continued his way down the hall until reaching the dining room and kitchen. The three made their way to the kitchen as he began to prepare lunch.
"What are we going to cook today?" Taka said looking up at Bukotsu, "Let's make something spicy and tasty!".
"May I suggest something tasteful yet, fitting?" Misato said as she put the food on a counter by the sink.
"Let's just make whatever comes to mind, that way we can have a pot luck," Bukotsu smiled lightly as he made his way to the meat storage room.
"Sounds like fun, I'm in!" Taka said raising a fist.
"Sure, I hope it turns out well," Misato said as she walked to the sink to clean the strawberries with some cold water.
"Well let's get started, we don't have all the time in the day do we?" Bukotsu said as he began quick work on preparing his sirloin.

Nova walks with Hisakata to the den. As they came to the intersection, Nova says "Wow, Bukotsu-san is really rich! I wonder what happened to his family?" Nova takes a left and says "I know how he feels. My mother just disappeared when I was only 4, and my father was killed by a hollow. I hardly even remember them."
Nova gets faint thoughts of his mother, her slender body, her flowing blonde hair. When she held him close to her. Nova suddenly felt glum.

Hisakata noticing that Nova looked a bit depressed said in a light tone, "Who knows? You can ask if you like, but it's easier for me to stay out of it...." she examined the room, with its thick carpets and colorful walls, "He is rich....hollows are the source of many troubles, but not all necessarily...." she trailed off.

Bukotsu, Taka, and Misato were finished preparing lunch as he walked in and out of the dining room putting their entrees on the table. Tsuda had just walked in when Bukotsu turned to say, "Tsuda, could you go and get our guests to come to the dining room please".
"Of course, Master Bukotsu," Tsuda said bowing and walked down to the den area. Walking down the hall and into the den, Tsuda had walked in and bowed, "Miss Hisakata and Mister Nova, lunch is being served now".
"Please follow me to the dining room, and I will have you seated," Tsuda said as he walked out and waited for them. The aromas from the kitchen moved about the halls lightly as many wonderful scents could be picked up by smell.

The thought of lunch broke Nova's trail of thought and lightened the mood. "Thank you very much!" Nova did a short bow. He followed Tsuda with Hisakata following close behind. "Wow...that smells good! I wonder what he is cooking?" As they neared the kitchen, the aroma got stronger and stronger, and as it did, Nova got hungrier and hungrier.

Hiskata felt her stomach growl as the smells wafted over. ...my, I haven't smelt this stuff in awhile...it's generally easier after all to pick up food in the Hollow infested areas.... "I have no idea," she answered Nova, "but it kind of smells like the stuff in the really fancy stuff on the single digit ranked streets of Rukongai..."

Nova walks into the dining room and stops, amazed. "Geesh, thats a huge table!" Tsuda leads them to a seat somewhere up close to the head of the table. Nova eyes the enterance to the dining room for Bukotsu and the food.

Bukotsu had just walked out of the kitchen with the other two, and other several servants as they lined the plates halfway down the table in rows.
"Ah, you're finally here, we'll be ready in just a moment," Bukotsu said as he set a plate down and went back in the kitchen.
"I hope you guys are hungry, we made quite a bit extra," Bukotsu smiled.
Before long, all the food was set on the table, and the three sat down, Bukotsu taking a seat at the head of the table and Misato and Taka sat on hisleft side, with Tsuda joining them, on the other side was where Nova, Miskata would sit.

Nova's eyes went wide. It was not hard to tell that he was very hungry. "Thank you very much!" Nova bowed. Not able to wait any longer, he sat down and grabbed a rice ball.

By the time 2 minutes had past, Nova had already eaten three rice balls and was already deep into the teryaki. Everyone else had stopped eating and were eying Nova curiously. Nova didn't seem to care.
