 Tanto "We can't do that, the means do not exist in the Sand Village." Tanto leaned back a bit into his chair as he looked back at her, well it was a good start, he had come up with the same idea. "Also, it makes it easier to refer to Shukaku as if it was a person, since it can think and act for itself, it is just sealed inside Ichi right now. You also forget that that's what you want, not what the village wants, as of now there are very few people that aren't ninja that have a fond likeness towards Ichi, and those numbers keep going down with each and every incident he has. The only option was to remove him so that no one would have anything bad on him."

Ichi hadn't been using his sand at all, instead using that metal sand stuff he summoned from scrolls. It was all strange. "Before, when I was helping Ichi train for the exams...I thought he had learned to control the demon. That or it had been sealed away. I mean, he wasn't using his regular sand at all, not even to defend itself, and that usually happened automatically. So what happened then, did Shukaku fall asleep for a while or something?"That was right after Ichi had left the village before. So maybe somebody out there had taught him something, maybe there was somebody that could help him outside the village. "Maybe when he left last time, he found something or someone that quieted the demon for a while. If so, then the answer exists out there somewhere, and we could seek it out. Once the demon's no longer a problem, nobody should have a problem with Ichi..."Akeru knew that Tanto had just told her she didn't have any real reason to want Ichi to stay in the village that wasn't a selfish one, but she didn't agree. It wasn't like she specifically wanted him around or anything, but it felt so wrong to just eject him for something that wasn't his own fault. "I just feel that every avenue possible should be explored before we punish Ichi without him doing anything wrong. This whole Shukaku nonsense is out of his control and I'm sure he'd be happy to do away with it. Plus, he proved he's willing to make sacrifices to protect others from the demon, he walked through the desert unassisted and through his pain just to keep the demon from attacking me or Ryumon. I know you said it was selfishness on my part, but I don't want this for myself, it's just what I believe is right. I know you're doing what you believe is right too, but I just don't think that punishing someone who is innocent just for other people's peace of mind is right..."

Tanto "I know about that seal from his sister, Suki, she has been following him around for the last several years. The only time she wasn't watching him is when he left the village last time." Tanto continued to pour common knowledge to the girl to make sure she saw as much of the big picture as she was allowed to. "However, when he left that time he had a very good hold on Shukaku. So he didn't leave to go find a seal, he must have happen across it on his travels, also, I have been told by Suki he met someone from the Sound Village before or after he lost contact with the person he was traveling with, Hiyo Miyaki. It turns out that around the time Ichi returned to Sand the Cloud village was attacked in which Hiyo was killed. I am afraid that some foul play has taken place, however I can't say for sure unless Ichi tells me for sure." The Kazekage looked around before pointing to a chair in front of his desk maybe two feet from Akeru's body, "You might want to take a seat, this will definitely take a while."

Within every illusion, there is reality" "*shudder* Ugh...the sound village..."Between the rumors of the place, what she had seen of it in person, and the weirdness of their ninja, she hated the sound village. It was just as creepy as the sand village was dry, the mist village was wet, and the leaf village was full of pansy-a** losers. Just about everything she had ever heard coming from the place was bad news, and Ichi had met someone there? Even if there was some kind of way to seal or subjugate the shukaku there, she wouldn't trust it. "Okay, that's one less thing for me to do. I don't know exactly who Suki is anyway, so it would have been hard for me to find her..."Akeru took the seat when it was offered. She was a lot more relaxed than she thought she would be in a conversation with Tanto, which in itself was a bit uncomfortable. "I remember the name Hiyo from my own exam. In fact, wasn't it his younger brother that won the exams this year? Yeah, he was the cute little kid using way to many weapons at once that kinda skewered Akira. Couldn't we ask him a few questions about what his brother was doing? I mean, with the cloud village's permission, of course."That also reminded Akeru that she hadn't checked on Akira's condition yet. Hopefully he was at the hospital himself now and she could check on him later.

Tanto "Yeah it was his little brother that won and skewered Akira, though poking at a fresh wound like that to his little brother wasn't the wisest move he could have made. But that's beside the point, the problem is that there are absolutely no records of what happened, only person that would know besides Ichi would be that lizard Tatsuya used in the exams, however, the lizard was delivering things to the Cloud Village during the time we need to know about. Tatsuya even was in the ninja academy in cloud, he wasn't even a genin yet." Tanto leaned a bit further into his seat and placed his feet on his desk relaxing thinking about all the info he had on the situation. "So, unless we can talk to the dead, or Ichi himself we won't ever know anything about the seal he has."

Within every illusion, there is reality" "so, it's looking like searching for a seal is a dead end..."Akeru could see that Tanto didn't really have many other options when he removed Ichi from the village. Every lead she could think up seemed to be a dead end. At least she knew that Ichi hadn't just been removed because it was what was most convinient. But then she started to wonder something. It was probably so simple that it was stupid to ask, but those liars at the academy had told her there was no such thing as a stupid question, so she was going to give it a shot. "Umm...I'm sure you thought of it already...but did you ever try asking Ichi directly? I mean, if we were trying to help him, he'd have no reason not to just volunteer the information..."

Tanto "His sister couldn't get it out of him, so I doubt anyone can get it out of him. Hopefully he can take this time to learn to trust some people." The statement made no sense since Akeru had absolutely no idea of what Ichi was doing or what he was supposed to be doing. "Trust me, I've taken every route to find an alternative it's just the fact that he himself isn't safe here, if Shukaku isn't attacking him he's getting negative attitude from the villagers, this is for the best."

Within every illusion, there is reality" "I suppose it really can't be helped then..."Akeru was sure that either they or Ichi would find some way to get the demon under control eventually. But for now this was the only way not only to protect the village, but to protect Ichi from the village. With a sigh, Akeru finally accepted it. "So, what do we do now? I have to admit that aside from sending people on missions, I don't fully understand what it is that you do. I mean, there isn't any political stuff you're doing now, right?"

Tanto "Well, your mission doesn't start until tomorrow, I just took this time to explain that I'm not the horrible person you seem to think I am." Tanto did seem to have a point, all he had heard from everyone that had talked to Akeru said that she had a very bad opinion of him based on the things he had to do. "And since tomorrow is a Tuesday, the day after that I'm having you go back to that shop like before, however I'll explain to sis that you are there to defend, not work. In that sense anyway."

But thank you for explaining everything to me."Akeru was a little surprised to hear that Tanto really cared about what she thought of him. Things definitely seemed to have changed since their first meeting , especially if he felt he needed to explain himself to her. Yean, he's definitely not a bad person. A sexist jerk, maybe, but not a bad person.Akeru remembered the shop from before. It was a little better that she was being sent to defend the place and not make another sandwich. It still didn't seem like a mission vital to Suna, but it was something important to Tanto at least, so it wasn't just a mission to keep her busy, she supposed. Actually, she wouldn't have minded too much if she did have to cook again, since it was kind of fun. But she'd never actually admit that to anyone, and if she would have been sent to do that, she would have been forced to complain on sheer principle. "So are Kyou and Roze coming with me again, or do you have some other teammates for me? Or am I going alone? Either way's fine with me, sir."

Tanto As Tanto was about to respond to Akeru a random bird flew in and dropped a letter on his desk. "One moment..." The Kazekage was quick to open the letter and read it's contents, afterwards he jotted down a quick note and pulled a small map from his desk long enough to circle a general area. However when he was about to give the bird the response he noticed something that made his eye twitch ferociously. "This bird... is FEMALE!" He yelled out as he literally tied the reply back around it's neck and threw it out the window as a major league baseball player would throw a fastball at an unskilled batter, and afterwards he stayed staring out the window at the flustered bird that tried to get it's barrings and return from the routine delivery that had turned into the scariest experience it ever had.

It seemed that Tanto's dislike of all things female hadn't been lessened a bit. Which actually made her wonder a bit why he was being so...relatively nice to her. It was definitely a huge change from their first meeting. "Umm...yeah...s-so do you want me to head out alone on the mission or not?

Tanto It took several moments for Tanto to collect himself after the incident with the bird before he could continue talking to Akeru. "Well, I usually send a team of three chunin on this mission every week, however no one has been showing up to attack the shop. I would like you to go alone just to make sure that nothing is going on. However, for now you can go home and rest up. Tomorrow isn't going to be as much fun as you think it might be."

Within every illusion, there is reality" "Oh don't worry, kazekage-sama, I know that missions aren't made to be fun."As Akeru spoke with a smile, she was hiding the fact that she actually preferred it this way. If she was going alone, she might be able to try her hand at cooking again without having to worry about the blow her image would take if any of the other ninja saw her. Plus, being disguised as an employee could be a much better way to defend the place in case an attack did happen. Attackers would be much less likely to expect an attack from some new employee than a ninja standing guard, and she always worked best when her attacks weren't expected. "I know the stand's important to you, so I'll do my very best defending it."Akeru bowed toward Tanto before leaving, heading back towards her home.

Within every illusion, there is reality"  As Akeru made it to the office, it was clear to see that she wasn't standing with her usual confidence. There was a timidness to her now, and even the way she knocked on the door seemed to be lacking her usual presence. "Uhh...K-k-kazekage-sama? It's Akeru...Umm...There's a problem...a major one...with my mission..."Akeru couldn't bring herself just to come out and say it. She was already cringing. She wished the guys hadn't gotten away from her; no wound in battle was going to be as painful as it would be to admit her failure to Tanto.
