"What? But I don't need sleep," Shan retorted, looking up. "I've had enough sleep already, so I'm well enough to serve you." He became very worried. The master was very nice today. Was he in good spirits or did he drink too much wine if he drinks any alcohol?

"Really now?" Kanda said as he looked at him and raised an eyebrow. "So your well enough to leave this room, walk to the kicthen and get me breakfast on bed?" He asked as he waited for an Answer.

"Sure, I am," Shan answered confidently. "I'm perfectly fine now." Or at least he thought and felt he was. Well, going to the kitchen and making breakfast for the master and bringing it back to this room shouldn't be any probelm at all. It's just walking, right?
To prove his point Shan attempted to walk to the door, but he immediately collapsed. It was strange. He was used to this, right? It's happened before, but why couldn't he do such a simple thing as walk?

"You were saying." He said as he sighed and put his hair up in a low ponytail. He walked to Shan and grabbed his shirt then placed him on the bed. "Sleep. Thats an order." He said as he headed to the door then looked at him. "And get up and you will get punished. Just rest shrimp." He said then left the room and headed to the dining room to eat.

Shan watched as the master left. It wasn't long after that he then closed his eyes and tried to sleep, but it seemed impossible. He didn't dare try to get up, since he was afraid of whatever punishment the master would think of. In that case, he might as well just stay here and wait for sleep to come for him.

Kanda sat down as the slaves served him his breakfast. He then ate his food when they finished. 30 minutes later, he finished eating and then got up. He sighed as he headed back to his room.
When he reahced, he opened the door then closed it. He wasn't sure if the guy was sleeping or not but didn't show any notice to leave the boy be and just got his book from the desk. He thn headed to his bathroom so Shan could sleep in peace.

Shan was very much aware of the master entering the room and heading to the bathroom. For some reason, he couldn't sleep at all. Well, maybe he can close his eyes and think of ways to change himself so he could please the master.
What kind of ways are there? Perhaps one of them would be to stop going to the study to read books. Yeah, that can be one of them. But what about any others? Always drop the so-called pests outside instead of killing them? That sounds like a good resolution, too.

Kanda sat down on the floor of the bathroom as he looked forward. He was lookign at nothing in particular..just getting lost in his thoughts. 'I can't believe I kissed that shrimp just to give him food..' Kanda thought as he sighed.
He looked at the ground for a few moments and touched his lips lightly. They were soft...Were all lips that soft..? Or was it just the boys that gave his a sort of tenderness to them. Kanda blinked as he mentally hit himself in surprise. Why they heck was he thinking of the kisses he gave Shan?! Was he completely metal? It was only to give him food so he could work again...right.?
Kanda shook his head as he got the thoughts out of his head. He opened his book and began to read. After what seemed like hours, he fell asleep in a matter of minutes.

Shan began to wonder why the master had been staying in the bathroom for such a long time. He had been carrying a book, but it wasn't like he was going to stay in there and read, right? Perhaps that was the exact reason why the master was staying there. Was he too troubled to go to the study or something? Maybe.
As he lay in the bed for who knows how long, Shan could have sworn he heard the slight squeaking of a mouse. He looked to the ground and saw a familiar grey mouse with dark eyes staring right at him.

Kanda opened his eyes after a hour or so and sat up straight as he rubbed his neck. He sighed lightly as he got up and opened the bathroom door. He walked through it then stopped when he saw and felt the presence of an all too familiar mouse in front of him as his scowl increased as he tched. "Why the hell are you hear rat?"

Nezushi looked up at the master when he heard the sudden voice and immediately scurried to the window. Shan looked nervously at the annoyed slave owner and then back at the mouse. He hadn't expected the man to appear so soon, but then again, he didn't expect Nezu to come here, either.
What could he say to defend the mouse? He couldn't make up any excuse to explain why the mouse was here. It was pretty obvious that Nezu came on his own accord.

Kanda watched him scurry to the window as he narrowed his eyes slightly then tched again. First th boy falling ill now this? Can't the day just end peacefully..
"So your going to run away without stating why your here?"" He asked Nezushi as the mouse tried to squeeze through the window sill. Either way he didn't care. He wasn't a big fan of the rat in the first place.

Nezushi hadn't answered, but instead had managed to escape through the window and now left Shan and the master alone in the room. It was strange why he had been here in the first place, but Shan decided it was best not to wonder about it.
He then felt his hand closed around something. It was soft, but also crusty at the same time. When he brought his hand up to see what was closed around it, it turned out to be a piece of bread. How did that end up in his hand?

"Tch." Kanda said as he turned away from the window and looked at Shan. He saw the piece of bread and stayed quiet. So he came to give the boy food? Was that it? Nezushi must really care Shan...
So why does that bother Kanda? Sure the mouse bother him in general but it also bother him that Nezushi was trying to get close to the boy. Kanda only tched again as he closed his eyes and pinched his nose. He was not falling for the shrimp That was just down right absurd..

Shan stared at the piece of bread for a moment. He wasn't sure if he should eat it, since the master was in the room and usually Shan would have to make sure that the man was okay with it. It wasn't very likely, however.
"What should I do with this?" Shan asked, looking at the master curiously. The man seemed a bit troubled and uncomfortable with something, so maybe right now wasn't the right time to ask the question. The master was most likely annoyed because Nezu had been here just a moment ago.
