((for clarification the groveling comment is in Masaki's head I'm not controlling Gage)) Masaki approached the hospital quietly. He had managed to shove most of the events into the back of his mind, where hopefully they would remain. His legs, still infected with the lethargy and stiffness the encounter caused loosened enough that he could resume a normal walking pace. He wasn't cheerful, but most shinobi weren't and that man hadn't seen Masaki enough to know how he behaved normally.
When he pushed open the doors and approached the desk. "Uhh a kid just came in here, beaten up and stuff. An older guy brought him in do you know where he went?" The nurse at the desk looked up calmly. "He's in that room right over there with the kid. You mind telling us what happ-" Masaki walked towards the door the nurse showed him, hearing her grumble something as he ignored her questioning. He had to get moving forward or he feared he would be stuck on this level for the rest of his life. He pushed the door open quietly and entered the room. The man was sitting in the chair beside the bed. Did he know the kid? was he worried for his health? or did was he supposed to guard him so he could be arrested as soon as he wakes? The boy wasn't tied down so he wasn't going to be arrested. That was interesting itself. A headache forced Masaki to stop thinking, bringing his attention back to the matter at hand. "Errm... Hi. We met once before on the mission from Konoha, you had to talk with snake kid, err the Hokage." He shook his head. That wasn't exactly the best way to start the conversation he wanted. He then blurted, probably a little louder than he should have, his question. "Can you teach me? I need to get stronger but I'm not getting stronger at all, tree sensei is a creep, snowcone won't train me after that fight and Luo is busy." He breathed heavy for a minute to calm down, then bowed to his knee. He should have done it as soon as he entered. Had he ruined his chances? He then heard the boy's words behind his ear. "Why are you groveling again?" After a minute he stood up and stared at the man desperately, but wordlessly. He couldn't take it any further, especially not in the thickheaded boy's presence. It was up to the man what happened next.

At the end of the boy's tirade, Hatake Himura's expression remained unchanged, save for a raised eyebrow. "Konoha?" Himura thought to himself. "I haven't been to konoha since that Blademaster tournament five years ago. The only way she could've seen me is-" Himura's thought cut off as realization hit him: The last time he had seen his son, Yamatano, he had been packing for a multi-village mission for Lord Mizukage. "Did this kid see Yamatano? But why did he look like me? Whatever the reason, I hope that boy hasn't done anything too dumb..." Himura's mid drifted back to Yamatano's days in the academy, before his Oinin training. Back then, his son had enjoyed nothing more than pulling pranks, sleeping, and sparring with Kaizen and Kanzuki. Many now saw Yamatano as nothing more than stone serious, but Himura knew his son's old side to come out now and again. He just hoped the boy wasn't foolish enough to try and trick another village without good reason. Discarding the thought, Himura turned his attention to Masaki, begging to be trained. At first, Himura was going to remind her that to him, he was "Lord Himura", then turn him away, but he remembered why he took the other kid to the hospital in the first place. "This kid's had it rough, it looks like. If he's desperate enough to ask Luo directly........ahh, damn." Himura stood, now looking down at the boy. "Your name?" Himura let the question hang in the air, seeing how he would react. (Side note: Please look in my vault to see Himura's profile, as well as what he is capable of teaching)

It was subtle, but Masaki noticed something on the man's face, a reaction, to his comment about Konoha. Did he forget? Is he annoyed I would bring it up? Luo must have known that he had gone there a shinobi can't leave the village without someone noticing, and they were expected to have permission. Or was he angry about the situation, having heard Masaki's own outburst towards the Hokage. He couldn't tell, he was so bad at recognizing emotions, though his training under Luo had forced him to become at least a little more observant. "I'm Masaki" He had invented a much longer name, the name that was in his file, but most got angry when he recited it. Perhaps that was why tree guy tried to make up stories about his parents and give him a false last name?

"Masaki." Himura stated, "If you want to train, go to the barracks and hit the practice dummy. If you want to learn, you may follow me." And with that, Hatake Himura walked out the door. After stopping at the desk and leaving instructions for the Night Nurse to contact the Mizukage when Gage woke up, Himura proceeded to his home, not even looking back to see if Masaki was following him. He didn't need to. (Exit to Hatake Compound)

Darkness... Total darkness... Gage's mind was engulfed by a thick blackness that left him with nothing to do, but think. He couldn't remember much of what happened. There was a hazy fight, but Gage's reasoning still sounded clear through his mind. The way that boy was treated was pathetic and it still gave the young man a sick feeling even in his comatose state. The young man's mind pondered those thoughts for what seemed like hours on end, while Luo's fierce and powerful words began to soften Gage's mindset. With each passing second, Gage was taking the Mizukage's thoughts and mending them with his own.
Before long, Gage began to realize how angry he had been. He had completely been blinded by anger over a trivial matter, but his brain wasn't processing somethings. What exactly did he fight for? He was split between his old village and the dignity of that young boy. Come to think of it, why did he even care about the kid?
"You two will ne training together..."
The words rang through the thick darkness like an alarm bell. It was the Mizukage's words from a few hours before the clash. For some reason Gage felt responsible for the boy and wanted the best for him. Why did he feel so connected to the kid...
As Gage layed in darkness, his thoughts wore on...

Ayame let herself get used tot he scent before once again looking around, crystal blue eyes scanning over little details. Clipboards here and there, a crack in the wall, books stacked neatly on shelves. There were tons of things medical related, though she didn't expect any less. She moved around, stopping nurses here and there, always asking the same question. "I am here looking for Dr. Lothar...where is he?" She was slightly curious about what the Mizukage had said about him. He was a great teacher, but had a liking of unhealthy beverages. Did he mean sake? Perhaps. Such odd things plagued her mind as she patiently waited, hoping a nurse would find the doctor soon, before she got too bored. Not even a minute after Ayame asked the receptionist for aide, a floor tile in the corner of the room exploded outward, pieces of tile scattering everywhere. A single fist, which had punched the offending tile, protruded from the freshly formed hole, soon followed by the strangest doctor Ayame (and quite possibly everyone in the hospital) had ever encountered. In his left hand he held a bottle of bourbon whiskey, 2/3 full, and his breath made it evident where the other 1/3 had gone. His doctor's coat was disheveled and dirty, stained by alcohol and dirt from his underground excursion. His matted silver hair somehow retained it's sheen, but this only served to make the rest of him appear dirtier, save for his glasses, which were always somehow impeccable. For some reason, there was a rubber snake toy hidden in the sleeve of his coat, which he either didn't notice or didn't care enough about to remove. "I did it!" He proclaimed as he pulled himself out of the hole. "They said I was crazy, and the were totally right! Despite that, I prov-*hic* proved them wrong: The secret liquor cave DOES reach the lobby!" Doctor Lothar had several hiding spots for his alcohol hidden around the hospital, but none were so elaborate as the (not so) secret liquor cave, a hole in the ground Lothar had dug when the foundations of the hospital were first being laid out. Unfortunately, on his latest excursion, Lothar had sampled quite a bit of his wares, and had forgotten that the floor tile in the corner was the ONLY entrance and exit to the cave, and that he had never made a bet with anyone. Nevertheless, Lothar continued to celebrate, mainly by uncorking his bottle again. "You wanted Lothar? Look no further." The receptionist said to Ayame, in response to her question. Surprisingly, during the entire ordeal, only the patients seemed shocked by the doctor's antics. Every staff member in the hospital was simply numb to the alcoholic doctor's eccentricities.

Ayame's eyes widened as she jumped back, startled by the noise of the tile being broken in the corner. She watched, wondering what crazy idiot had decided to tunnel under the hospital. To her surprise, a strange looking doctor made his way out, the stench of alcohol and dirt filling the room almost immediately. Remembering the Mizukage's words, she slowly began to piece things together. Surely this wasn't Lothar...the Mizukage wouldn't put her with a looney, would he? Ayame glanced over to the nurse as she confirmed the dreaded feeling building up in her stomach. It was, indeed, her teacher.
After the doctor proclaimed his 'accomplishment' of proving the liquor cave reached the lobby, Ayame cleared her throat and cautiously moved forward, not getting to close. "Um, excuse me, Dr. Lothar?" she asked, voice confident even though she didn't feel easy in the slightest as she spoke to him. "I was sent by the Mizukage to request training in the Medical field from you...though heavens knows why," she said, muttering the last bit, hoping he didn't hear. She wasn't one to disrespect her teachers...but this guy just seemed to be nuts, and quite the alcoholic. Remembering the paper, she pulled it out of the pouch she had stored it in and showed it to him. The paper appeared blank to her, but she was sure that there must be something that identified it as the Mizukage's. In the midst of his revelry, Dr. Lothar was stopped by a girl with a star under her eye, explaining that she was here to request training. "Harrumph!" He exclaimed in the most overdramatic tone he could muster in his drunken state. "Why on earth should I, the great Harold Galapago Valentinez Pancake Lothar Sorrincia Letivo Pinz-" The rest of Dr. Lothar's full name would be forever lost as the girl showed him a piece of paper, bearing the personal sigil of the Mizukage. Dr. Lothar stared at it for a moment, then looked back at her, then stared at it again. "...........All right, Cookie Cutter eyes, you win." Dr. Lothar said, unable to link the star shape of her tattoo with anything other than a cookie cutter in his stupor. Without saying another word, he walked through the doors to the medical ward. Stopping outside a patient's room, he turned to Ayame, whom he assumed had followed. "Medi-*hic* medical techniques primarily come from the hands, so you need to learn how to build chakra in your hands. First, we're gonna clean up before going to see the sick guys!" Dr. Lothar proceeded through a small string of seals slowly, ending with the word "Kiyomaru!". A light brown, almost lager colored light emanated from his hands, which he let hover over his face, arms, and jacket. Most of the dirt had been removed, the germs had been killed, and the Doctor had even sobered up a little. "Whew......alright, good that I got that out of the way, Chen always yells at me when I don't. Oh, right, I should explain that: that technique cleanses your body before you have to operate on people. In the field, you're not gonna have the opportunity to wash your hands, so you've gotta do it yourself!" Dr. Lothar waited for her to try, Helping himself to a bottle of Guinness he had hidden in his pocket in the meantime.

Ayame watched the doctor with a slightly unbelieving gaze as he rattled his many names off. She didn't care, of course, but she made it look like she was paying attention, hardly even listening to him. Once he saw the paper and finally stopped, she silently thanked the heavens. She couldn't stand being there listening to some silly name she wouldn't remember five minutes later. The paper did indeed bare the mark of the Mizukage, and she held it out to Dr. Lothar as he looked over it. Her face colored a bit at the name he called her, slightly annoyed. "I have a name, you know..." she muttered, reaching up with her right hand to trace the black star under her left eye, before she slid her hand down to her shoulder to cover the three stars that lay there. She had gotten the tattoos awhile back for no certain reason, though they did help identify her.
As the doctor moved forward, she carefully followed him. Ayame wasn't exactly trusting of the doctor, but unless she was trained by him, she most likely wouldn't get trained at all. She stopped when he did, looking up into the face of her teacher as he turned to her, resisting the urge to wave the alcoholic scent away. She watched carefully his hand seals as he put them together, head tilting some at the name of the jutsu. Soon, she learned it would be the first technique she would use. A mental sigh of relief went through her as she saw the dirt clear up some, noticing that he sobered some. "I see. Understandable that there would be a jutsu for such things. Let's see," she said lightly, slowly trying to focus her chakra into her hands. She hadn't had much experience with focusing chakra into certain parts of her body, but she was sure she could do it.
She decided to learn the hand seals first. She did the signs she remembered he had done, asking occasionally to see it again, before trying the seals again, looking to the doctor to see if she had gotten it right. After he gave her some sign of approval, and even if he didn't, she would then try to concentrate her chakra into her hands. She hadn't had the experience, as mentioned, but she could and would try. Her eyes closed, imagining the chakra going into her hands, instead of somewhere else. She kept that image, before opening her eyes, still trying to concentrate enough chakra into her hands in order to try and perform the jutsu. "No, no, no, thats not how you do it at all!" The doctor exclaimed as he put his now empty beer on the cart of a passing janitor. "You don't just form chakra in your hands, the chakra comes from your center! Take the chakra from the chakra coils in your center, feel it flow through your shoulders, down your arms, and let it coalesce in your palms. When you've got some practice with it, use your fingertips."The doctor proceeded to pull out another beer and began to drink, wondering what on earth she actually learned at that academy. Not everyone could be a medical shinobi, least of all people with poor chakra control. He missed the days when he got to look over student files to decide which ones would be accepted as medics, but he supposed he didn't deserve the priveledge after his boss discovered him downing a bottle of bushmills while doing them. Now, med-nin were so in demand that they took what they cold get. Still if she still couldn't use her chakra, he would just leave to go drink. But, if she could pull off the Kiyomaru, he would give her one more chance.......and continue to drink.

Ayame tilted her head a bit as she was told off by the doctor for doing it wrong. She gave a slight nod, acknowledging his words, before closing her eyes again, working on feeling the chakra from her core spread up through her upper back and into her shoulders, where it would then flow and circulate through her palms. She dispelled the feeling and once again tried, aiming to get the hang of this simple move before trying anything. The girl paid no attention to the alcoholic doctor as he pulled another beer out of thin air. She knew how to use chakra, just not how to channel it completely into one part of her body in order to perform jutsu. She was barely out of the academy after all.
After she felt like she had it down, she thought back to how the doctor had done the jutsu. The jutsu was meant to kill germs and cleanse the shinobi before doing any medical things so they didn't risk infection from the medic's hands and body. She once more slowly did the hand seals, memorizing them, before getting her chakra flowing once again. Once she did that, she quickly performed the seals. "Kiyomaru!" she called, feeling the chakra collect in her palms as he had told her to do. She checked her arms for any noticeable signs of bacteria killing, though she couldn't really see it, of course. But she felt...cleaner. She figured that she must have done it correctly. [2/2]

"Oh hey, look at that, you got it!" The doctor exclaimed as he finished his beer, pleasantly surprised that his advice actually helped someone for change. Without further ado, the doctor stormed into a room holding a very concerned looking patient. "Now, watch closely!" Lothar said, paying the patient no mind as he made two seal, then held his hand over the mans chest. Whispering "Shindan", the doctor's hand took on the lager colored glow again, his chakra seeping into the man, then returning information on his condition, specifically that the man had an infected stab wound in his back. "Alright, cookie cutter eyes, listen up! This jutsu is used to diagnose anything that may be wrong with your patient. Bring your chakra to your hand again, but this time, let it seep into his body, and bring it back to you. Now, tell me whats wrong with him!" At this point, Dr. Lothar took a seat to allow Ayame to work, pulling out a false floor tile to reveal a bottle of Captain Morgan's rum, which he began to gulp thirstily (Lothar ALWAYS had a little captain in him).

They must have been terrified of the doctor. He was a bit loony, after all. She turned her gaze to his hands as he performed the seals and checked the patient for injuries and problems. She stretched her hands out in front of her, getting her chakra back into her palms. She waited as her hands began to glow a light purple, the color of her chakra, before dispelling it and trying again. She was told to get the chakra back to her...which she wasn't sure how to do exactly, but she was sure it had something to do with knowing the feel of your chakra. After this, she worked on memorizing the seals, performing them quicker and quicker until she had it memorized. 'So far so good,' she thought, before moving over to the patient. Ayame gave the man a small smile, mentally apologizing since he had to be the one for her to test her jutsu on. She held her hands out over his chest, making the chakra go into her hands, before gently setting them on the man. Being a Genin, it would take her a couple more minutes than it would Lothar, but she still wasn't sure how to bring her chakra back to her so she glanced up at the doctor. She pulled her hands away, in order to ask her question. "Doctor, I know I have to pull the chakra back so I can read his diagnosis. But how do I do it?" she asked, feeling silly. But if she was going to learn, she had to know. [1/2]
