It was soothing to see the gold hatch it seemed, for everyone and not just herself. She had to smile at how the regal young one was helped out by her protective siblings. Kestra knew she wasn’t queen-impressin’ material herself but some girl out here was, had to be, and High Reaches would have another gold and rider to their belt. And what a little beauty. Hopefully this impression would go on without a hitch and she’d find Hers happily.
"That she does." Kestra replied to Rieta, though she managed to tear her eyes away from the new queen to spy her own much much smaller gold amongst the watching firelizards briefly.

"She's so pretty," Ayi gushed softly, the tension and stress from the recently ended fight finally spilling out of her to the point that tears pooled in her eyes and she had to hastily wipe them away with the back of her hand. Damn her emotions sometimes. How inappropriate, after all this nonsense, to start crying.
"I hope she impresses easy...we don't need anymore drama."

Oh what a emotional ride this hatching was. Trista's heart soared upwards as she saw the beautiful gold being helped by the green. How sweet to see such kindness coming so soon after the male dragon's altercation.

Arolon didn't worry about this gold queen. She didn't seem aggressive at all, but not a push over either. Mighty yet dainty. She was lovely, he smiled at her two helpers and body guards. He wondered what lucky woman would become a future weyrwoman.
He also wondered when the green and bronze would deem the queen safe enough to find their own bondeds.

"Remember what I said, young Queen." Sellae whispered the words softly, praying they reached the young gold. "Even if not me, remember how important you are. Remember how you matter."
She stared at the beautiful dragonet, quaking. Finally she stood, holding herself there silently.

Indeed, Ayi, the hatching didn't need any more drama. But if wishes came true, there would be enough golds for every eligible girl, and wouldn't that be mess?
An easy Impression was not meant to be. The gold did not maul anyone, no, but she did something that was more shocking...
The queen, with the green at her side, turned for the boys and began her proud walk that way. This threw off even the Weyrleader, who had been speaking with Talis through their dragons; the very same brownrider whom had vanished beyond the mountains again.
The shock and awe only made the newborn gold beam brighter. Someone was proud of herself. They should all be proud, too! Why weren't they acting like it?
Whatever she expected from them, they weren't getting it fast enough. The dragonet stopped in front of Belram and stared at him. Stared at him.
Hmph!
No longer her happy self, the queen moved behind him and jumped up, knocking him forward until he fell on his knees. In the process, his back was scratched, but not too badly; the queen had meant no physical harm. Then, she moved on to the boy nearest to him and repeated the gesture.
"What in the..." D'astel realized then what the problem was, and none too soon. The unhappy gold gave a jump, one gravely familiar with how a dragonet looked before they went between. If he didn't know better, he'd say she was threatening them all...
"BOW!" The Weyrleader shouted. "Bow your head!"
Most people got the hint fast, and bowed their heads hurriedly. Most was not good enough for this queen. She moved back to the rest of the clutch, watching everyone and waiting.
She would not move until she was satisfied, and neither would the green who waited with utmost loyalty at her side.

Amoreth heard the Weyrleader's shout, but natural instinct upon seeing the eyes of the great lady queen had taken over and she bent her head low, her torso following slightly in an unmistakable bow. The strength that radiated from the golden Dragoness was enough to thrill her to the core; just to be in this room with her, made her feel alive and free.
Her emerald eyes remained open as she gave the respectful gesture, staring blankly down at the sands. Wonder surrounded the Candidates, she could feel it as strongly as she could feel the majesty of the Queen. Such strength and commanding for a regal hatchling!

Leicha had already bowed his head long before having been told, and he hoped quickly that others were doing the same. The last thing they needed was for a gold to move against candidates, yet it seemed that it was what she was doing without any hesitation.
This was all too troublesome, this clutch. Leicha almost was at the point of not wanting anything from it anymore.

Panata had a harder time bowing, his head lolling slighty as he tried to keep himself balanced with the movement. He finally managed to get it done, both hands folded against his thighs, his traditional bowing pose. doing so, however, cause the pain in his side to flair up, and he released a small cry before he bit down on his lip.
A bloody lip was a price to pay if it would make a gold happy, right? He was already injured enough as it was, why not just add to the total?

After he got over his surprise at a gold coming towards the guy group, Mishaal blinked and in his usual calm way, bowed his head as the little queen seemed to want. He for one was rather amused in an affectionate sort of way, doubting she’d actually go Between, and smiled. As dramatic as her siblings, if somewhat more peaceable. No wonder he'd wanted to go pay his respects to her egg.
“You know you’re a queen. Wanted to make sure we know it too, hmm?”

Her head dropped immediately in a bow, fearing the worst if she didn't, and even dropped to her knees to be in the same submissive posture that she put two of the boys into. If the young queen suicided, the entire Hatching was to be black-marked into eternity.
She started a silent mantra in her head too, begging that everything go smoothly.

Belram had only moments to wonder why the gold would be heading towards the boys, why she would be staring at him. His reaction was to bow, but as surprised as he was, it took him just a little too long. No sooner had thought begun to translate to action than he was knocked down, forced to his knees by the queen.
His back stung, but it wasn't bad...and it was his fault, anyway. He should have been faster. His head now bowed respectfully, eyes on the sand before him, he breathed out a sincere, "My apologies, Lady."

Jaylin felt his jaw drop when the gold was walking towards them. THEM. Weren't Golds supposed to go to girls? But she jumped, and --
He didn't need any encouragement to drop to one knee and bow his head in respect. For extra, added benefit he also bit his lip to keep his scorn from coming out. He already bowed! But... Well, in the face of a spoilt dragoness and considering the previous events, Jaylin decided to stay on her good side and stare at the sprinkled beads of green and red on the sand at his feet, sneaking glances of the dragoness and her escort through his lashes.

Watching in surprise as the queen got the others to kneel she grinned at the little gold before sinking down to settle in the sand on her knees and keeping her head bowed her gazed at the gold dragon through her bangs.

Mildly surprised by the small queen heading toward the boys she watched with growing worry as the gold became more and more agitated. It wasn't too surprising that a gold should want to be admired, but this was a bit much. Though she too dropped down with the others and bent her head she still looked proudly forward.
Trista dearly hoped whomever impressed this little lady would have the strength to deal with her. For this one would completely control anyone remotely timid and unsure.

Sellae bowed her body in a meek manner, but blue eyes watched the queen surreptitiously from under her lashes. Please, young one! A wise choice.
She was soimportantsoimportantsoimportant.
And she knew it. That much was a relief, at least, even with the strain. She glanced over at the two wounded boys, worried that this may open the wounds they bore. And then her eyes were on the warm sands.
