~~when the only reason you watch college football is for the marching band
~~you get in trouble in class constantly for daydreaming and its something about playing your instrument

You know you're a band geek when....
- you sit in your school's theater with a friend not from your school and you can point at half the people in the theater and say "Oh I know them. They're in band/colorguard."
-When your mom finds a website to custom order pins off of, the first thing you think of to put on them is band jokes.
-when you walk in time, to whatever may be playing (music, drumset, background themes in video games....)

spontaneous-chibi You know you're a band geek if: You spend $1,000+ in order to go on tour with your school band, and you still consider it a vacation. You always have something stuck in your head. You're listening to your MP3 player, and you subconciously walk in time to the music on it. You're doing the above and your friends start walking in the same time as you without even hearing the song. Your favorite thing to do with your friends is to play in a concert. You can't help singing in your other classes. Before you are able to really listen to a song, you have to figure out the part your instrument would play if you had the piece. (I hate this. I'm a drummer, so I have a part in EVERY song. It gets so annoying.) This is fun! I can't tell you HOW MUCH I have songs stuck in my head!!!!! that will always be my friends question of the day, "what song does she have stuck in her head now?" XP

When having guys help unbutton your jazz gown in a parking lot on a bus, in front of your BD, after a competition is completely normal and isn't uncomfortable in any way shape or form.

- You've mastered the art of dressing and undressing yourself into/from clothes with a zipper on the back (e.g. uniforms or concert dresses!)
- You stay behind everyone else every day, even if you don't have band that period, to help clean up chairs and stands and reorganize the band room
- You make sure you're "in-step" while on the cardio machines in P.E. to the obnoxious dance music
- You get asked to design an updated version of the band's logo

You know you're a band geek when...
~Getting dressed and undressed infront of people isn't awkward
~you make perverted band jokes to non-band kids without even realising it.
~You name your instrament
~You comsider your BD to be your second mum/dad
~You quote your BD
~You sing your part to your marching/concert music
~Your iTunes is filled with all the songs you have performed
~Start counting down the days until marching season
~Your weekends consist of you playing your instrament or writing music for your section until three in the morning.
~You can't wait until your performances
~You sing your marching music (if it's a real band, like Journey, yeah I know, my band is awesome!!!)
~Your summer vacation revolves around band camp.
~You keep step with anyone.
~You keep tempo to any song.
~You prefer instramental music over anything else.
~You listen to songs, and think, "That would be awesome for us to play!!!"
Please excuse my spelling errors!!! I quite literally stayed up until 3 in the morning writing music for my section for our end of the year concert!! sweatdrop

-you do the biggest project of your life on music.
-you hang out in the bandroom in the dark because you aren't supposed to be in there
So about number two, i came to school for a big project presentation, and my friewnd had managed to sneak into the bandroom and was hiding out in the dark, trying not to get caught. so i joined her.

Band Llama luvs NickJ When you yell "AW CRAP, I LEFT MY DOTBOOK ON THE FIELD!" and everyone stares at you and scratches their heads because they have no clue what you are talking about. I have done this before XD everyone just kinda looked at me like I was crazy. ~ "Armed guard" means a girl with a pole, not a guy with a gun. ~ You remember sharps and flats more easily than you remember the name of the president. ~ You've named your instrument. ~ You have dreams about selling band candy. ~ You accidentally call your band director "Dad". ~Reeds taste good. ~ You subconsciously start practicing with a pencil. ~ You roll step through the cafeteria so you don't spill your food. ~Normal people bet on horse racing, you bet on the DCI Championship ~You've tested to see if you can fit in a tuba case.

When you have nearly all the band parents added on facebook.
When you want to block said parents for spamming your news feed nonstop with game notifcations.
When you can't block said parents because you're friends with them and their kids.

When you would almost give up earning $500 just to see live DCI.
(DCI show coming here the LAST week of my corps this summer, so I have no way of going unless I forfeit the stipend. FFF I can shot self?)

you know when youre a band geek when.......
you carry mouthpieces in your purse.
the show music for marching band is stuck in your head.
you find your dots in your room.
also you get hyped up for marching band at tryouts.
you finally get a buffet-crampon 400 series proffesional baritone sax in the antique finish, and everyone in your jazz band wants to 'become a fan' on your saxophones fan page.
