So what's the policy on Sword classes? Are the swords to stay in the classrooms, only to be practiced then or are the students assigned a sword and allowed to use it for outside practice?

The students of course aren't allowed to just run around the campus fighting whomever they want. If you desire a sparring match, we will have training areas in the academy and also in the rukon district (you will be able to go there after accomplishing certain classes and with the headmistresses permission).
And as you start you will be practicing with wooden katanas, later Asauchi (a basic training katana) and only after you've past a certain class your REAL zanpakuto.

XD My character cannot use kido in any way, but he can use reiatsu in amazing ways, the question I pose to you is this. Could there be a teacher to teach these types of moves to the students? If so I would like to offer to take up the job, this is why I have yet to create a profile.

well, ezz could probably tell you more about my annoyance capabilities (since she was forced to be my roomie for a year), but I see myself as less of a prankster and more of a... how to say... verbal entertainer (though I usually entertain myself with it :/).
But seriously, I'm really sarcastic by nature, but people don't get the joke. They say I look too sincere when I say things like that. smile

Actually Reishi is what Quincy and Bounto use directly, not reiatsu. Reiatsu is the spiritual energy that Shinigami have within themselves, Reishi is the spirit particals that Quincy use to form their attacks and Bounto absorb into themselves and survive off of.

Well, actually reiatsu is used rather directly in shunko, if I'm not mistaken. And Quincy are manipulating reishi. But it doesn't change much, does it?

sorry, reishi and reiatsu get me confused smile
and I agree with ezz, if it's a specialty of your character, you can use it the way you want, however the other students don't posses such an ability.
