There's nothing wrong with large age gaps in love^^;

No, no, that's not what I'm objecting to...It's just....She's old enough to be his mother, and...well, it's a bit odd. I personally wouldn't mind marrying an older guy or even a younger guy, but....it's like, a 30 year gap....

Yeah but saying that is just contradicting yourself about saying no to Ty's statement. xDDD;;;

I just don't like that kind of thing myself because I do find it creepy, plus it can lead to ***** if one person is actually a child. xD;;;;;;

Yes, well, I'm a very contradictive person 3nodding It's just, if they're really in love, I wouldn't want to stop them or be offensive or anything. But, um, it is kinda creepy to me, and I wouldn't think I could really fall in love with someone that much older than me. I mean, what do you have in common? A thirty year gap, that's like, major differences in the ways you were raised and think about the world; I couldn't do that.

sweatdrop I'm contradicting myself again, aren't I?

Yeah you kind of are again. xD;;;

But that's a good point, thirty years is a pretty big gap to have between two people. xD;;; Things were different thirty years ago from when that person was born and so and so.

My cousins in her 20s and married to a man in their 50s and they are the kind of couple that you look at and you could see lasting forever. They have one daughter and one son~

Now, see, that's the thing. If they can make it work, they have my full support. But for me...I dunno, I couldn't really love someone whose life started in a time when people thought and did things so much differently than now.

What makes you think they would last forever Ty?

Nothing's forever...! gonk

Sug, some couples do last for 'until death do you part' ^-^

My parents will have been married....thirty four years this September, and I don't see them divorcing any time soon...even if they do argue. And my grandparents on my mom's side were married fifty six years before my grandpa died, back in '05. But then, that's a totally different generation, back when they couldn't fathom divorces, lol.

There would be much less divorces though if people took longer to know one another before they married though~ In those days divorces where also scarce because people actually took the time to get to know one another and where more faithful to one another, or at least forgiving. These days people are in more of a rush most of the time.

Yeah, it's actually really sad. People are just 'settling' when they should actually try for that someone who you fit best with. I mean, also, see if you're compatible instead of just infatuated with each other BEFORE you get married stare

My parents got divorced before I was born so I had never seen my dad until I went to go live with him and his step wife after 15 years. xd

God I haaate that woman. xD;;;; But I miss my dad! crying I miss my mom too even though she's a drunk. xD;;;

Ouch. Well, my nieces is only two years old, and my brother and sister-in-law are getting a divorce, so I feel sorry for her.

Have you like, even known anyone who likes their stepmother? I mean, I've met at least half a dozen people who hate their stepmothers, not to mention poor Cinderella....XD

Yeah that's really sad. ><;; But there isn't much you can do about it but you can stay by her side and help her cope with it. Also if you guys really want you can still see your niece right? I know people who still keep in touch with people who have divorced and still have normal conversations with them. Not all divorces are ugly things. Sometimes they can be for the better.

Well honestly she wasn't bad at first but then came all these ungodly rules that she forced upon me with an iron fist and it was saddening... crying
