((OOC... And yes, Valkon backtracked. XD He had something to do. ))

Valkon had run some distance when he suddenly skidded to a stop, turning around abruptly. Zion was still on his back, and he hesistated a moment to ensure he was still on. He needed to go back to town. Hawke should not be left behind. And he should really say something to Azshara so that if she didn't want to wait, he knew where to direct her.

It barely took him a few moments to get to the tentacled one. Shifting to his normal form, he grinned when Zion ended up in his arms rather than just dumping him on the ground suddenly at the change. Setting him down carefully, he said, "I'm sorry, Zion. I needed to talk to her a few minutes and I need to speak to Hawke also. We will take him with us. If it's any distance, I'd rather have him along."

The crows and raven settled down nearby simply watching. It had been quick but they were used to Valkon's movements by now when he was shifted. He teased them sometimes in play.

"The light headed north. That was Azmodeus and I'm heading there now to see what's going on. I just wanted to let you know that was where we were heading so that if you wanted to come along, you could." He glanced over at Gossa. "Seems you two are buddies now. Good."

A faint smirk crossed his face. The little creature had grown but still didn't know what had hit it. Maybe it would never understand which could only benefit them.

Hawk hesitated, thinking for a moment. "Keep them. He might want them. I know he doesn't have a fox. I know he's working on a monkey, a snake, a skunk, and a panther right now. He's wanting a dragon but I don't see that happening for awhile." He shook his head frowning slightly, but then he grinned. "You know dad though. He'll find a way."

((-Flail- Sorry I've been absent to anyone that was included to any of my post's. I shall be going back and reading where everyone of my ghostlings were last and if there was any response. Though my response may not be posted anytime soon.))

As her quarry spun and headed back the way they'd come, her ears angled backwards, then to the side in puzzlement. What in the world? Effortlessly she pivoted on a front paw, her tail whipping around behind her to power her around and directed her momentum in the opposite direction. She ran lightly now slightly behind and to the side of her 'prey' while she mulled over his odd behavior. There definitely was something she wasn't quite understanding here. Something she was missing. Perhaps following wasn't going to get the answers she sought.

The opportunity came when they'd threaded their way back through the town again, ending on the edge of the water. She watched warily as the wolf pounded onto a wooden platform on stilts that sank into the water. He shifted again, back into a bipedal, multi-tailed creature. Eyeing the water, she hesitantly stepped around the corner of a building, once more upright. Dainty paws padded silently along the street cobbles, but stopped when she met the planks of the pier. Did she dare trust the worn and rickety thing with her weight, when there was water waiting ominously below?

It seemed she had no choice, if she were to approach the shapechanger. Lifting her chin high in defiance of her own fear, tail swinging rhythmically behind her, she stepped firmly out onto the pier and made her way toward the small gathering of ghostlings. It was high time she find out where she was and what was going on.

Gossamer looked up trustingly at the strange creature that she now determined was her friend. She seemed indifferent to the choices given her, merely moving closer to Azshara and nodding amicably. Apparently either way was fine with her. When the wolf rushed up, she whipped her head around to watch anxiously, her mane rippling like morning reflected on water. She relaxed some when the wolf turned into the yokai from before. Well, he hadn't harmed her, now had he? To her simple mind, that made him a friend merely by the fact that he was not-danger. Whether or not this philosophy was wise was moot. It merely was the way she interacted. Hunkering down beside Azshara, she listened soundlessly to the conversation.

Priscilla hadn't frogotten Touma dumping the little one on her, but she was well distracted now by the fun of clothes! Finding a dress tiny enough to fit Ember was nigh on impossible, but dresses weren't the only things that could fit the bill! She whipped out a shimmering cape, tacky and covered with bent, broken, or missing plastic sequins. It was made to look irridescent, the effect ending up somewhat like the surface of a bubble. Grinning, she flourished it grandly before the baby ghostling.

"Your dress, my lady!" She twirled with the bit of fabric, paused at the jewelry box, fished out a small brooch that was some fake but glittery stone surrounded by small pearl-like orbs. It was light enough to suit her purpose, so she twirled back to where her young charge waited. Deftly she fastened the cape backwards around the baby's neck, where it hung loosely, then took the brooch and pinned the edges together behind Ember's back, making it into a sort of smock. It had been quite a short cloak, but draped this way on her it trailed the ground in front and beside her. Probably not the safest of garb, but delightful enough to satisfy any little girl's fantasies.

"Now, shall we feast?" She gestured to the cupcakes and minced towards it, scooping up two chintzy pillows as she moved. Placing one gravely upon the floor beside the plate of cupcakes, she bowed and gestured for Ember to have a seat before somberly placing her own pillow and alighting upon it with all the gravity of a queen.

((eee! Awesome. *skitters off with the inkwell*

Azshara turned looking toward Valkon as he came up, "ah, that is very good since that is where we were heading as well." Azshara patted Gossa lightly with a tentacle, "well friends I suppose, she seems agreeable enough and I need someone with a better pair of land legs then I have." She wasn't really sure what to do with the colorful ghostling but had a feeling that if it stuck around there would be some use.

"Since we were heading that way anyways...likely we'll have knowledge of the quickest water route to whatever is up to the North."

"Alright then, lets get the water boiling, Dad can use them and then give them to Mom later on.... if he needs them at all that is." Looking around the area Fosull started picking up various kindling for the fire.

"The water will need to be a rolling boil before putting the carcasses in it." Turning some Fosull smiled and offered a bit of a wave to her mother, "we'll be here I suppose - you'll bring word of what it is right?"

"Of course, I'll head back here once I know more." Truthfully she wasn't sure of what state the castle would be in and if there was a battle she'd rather meet it without others close she'd need to worry about.

"See if you can find some bleach and oil for those bones, it'll help strengthen them once your done there." And after that last bit of advice Loa started off to the North.

Ember giggled happily when Priscilla brought the cape out for her, at least for her it looked like a cape. The little ghostling twirled in place beaming as she does watching the sequenced bit of cloth sparkle in the light.

Hearing herself called again she moved over letting Priscilla put the brooch on her as well. Once again she dashed off to spin and glide as if dancing. "Oh! More cuppy cakes!" Running back over to the cupcakes Ember appeared ready to dive into one again, but restrained herself taking a seat on the pillow that Priscilla had laid out for her.

Turning a bit Ember beamed up at Priscilla and soothed her hands over her outfit. "So now we eat the cuppy cakes?"

Hikaru walked along with a soft smile on her face she kept periodically looking down at her new pouch finally Hikaru could take it no longer she stops and opens her pouch and takes out her star marble it seemed different then when she first got it she could feel magic inside it which she didn't feel before she figured it reacted with the pouch and the pouch some how unlocked whatever magic it had inside it

Hikaru held up her speical marble up to the light watching with awe how it caught the light just perfectly she then just held it in the palm of her hand and looked at it she could feel magic inside it but she didn't know what it did if anything it felt slightly warm but not from her holding it it was the same kind of warmth she felt when she first had her powers unlocked the feeling made her happy and she smiled even wider she closed her eyes for a moment just to calm down when she hear a word in her head which made her open her eyes quickly she looked around to see if anybody had called her or something but nobody did not that she could see she then looked back at the marble for a moment then took a deep breath let it out and closed her eyes again she heard the word it felt warm to her and with out thinking she spoke the word "lightaga" when she opened her eyes she realized her marble was starting to glow she watched the star in the center light up then the whole marble was glowing softly with a blue light which lit up the darkness perfectly Hikaru was amazed it was simple but the light was pretty and warm feeling she wondered what else her marble could do but she was happy with it glowing then a thought came to mind how does she make it stop suddenly stopped almost as soon as she thought about it Hikaru didn't know wither it was just on a time limit or wither her wanting it to stop made it stop but she simply strugged and put the marble back into her pouch and closed it happily

Hikaru then started walking again she wanted to find other ghostlings to enjoy the festival with thats when the faint smell of something sweet caught Hikaru's attention it made her stop for a moment"what is that smell it smells good but not like anything from any of the stands it smells familuar for some reason"Hikaru didn't know why but it had her curiousity up and it smelled good anyway she was hoping she could have a bite of whatever it was she didn't realize it till now but she was very hungery so Hikaru followed her nose as she did the smell got stronger and stronger and seemed more and more familuar when finally she found herself at a game stand that had closed down because they ran out of prizes thats when she realized she was right across from the game stand she had helped earlyer the one she got her star marble from she then noticed there was a house near the stand and that the smell seemed to be comming from that direction so she quickly hurried over to the house and looked inside the window when she did she finally realized what she was smelling she was smelling cupcakes one of her fav desserts

Hikaru opened the door slowly and walked inside she was practically almost knocked over by the wonderful smells she shuts the door and wanders over to the oven to see the stuff the old woman who was cooking had noticed her closed door open all by itself and then close itself Hikaru then heard laughing and such comming from the attic Silently Hikaru walked over to the stairs and climbed up till she was at the top and poked her head out of the trap door but didn't say anything she mostly just watched for a while

(with the star marble i have no idea where im going with that just a magical treasure i guess)

(( OOC........ Guns, I'm just going to carry Zion along for this post and the next. Otherwise we will be stopping and starting constantly for them to reply to each other. And post was edited because I missed Jenga in Tal's post. ))

Valkon nodded to what Azshara was saying while he studied Gossamer a few moments. Turning his attention back, he grinned. "I'll grab my son and a few of the others and start moving there via a land route. It should be straight north of here. And since we can go through things should we need to, I'm not stopping for anything. I'm sure that Chronos is back. And Lord Azmodeus. And then I have to start getting my things from the castle as well as find a place for all of us to live."

For a long moment he stared at the feline who was approaching them. Watching intensely, Valkon wondered what it was this creature wanted of him. Of them. Finally, he said, "Is there something you want? If there is, you will have to follow. I've things to do right now and no extra time. Or wait until I return, but I have no idea when that will be. I want to go see what that light did."

If she was a goody goody, then they could always do with another slave and if not, then she'd fit right in. Either way suited him though he was quite certain that she'd not realize it until it was too late.

He frowned thoughtfully for a moment. "I'm sure Chronos will have a way to make it easier. It took me forever to gather all those bones and to get the library sorted. I don't particularly want to do it again."

Looking over at Zion, he grinned. "Let's go get Hawke." Shifting, he paced impatiently, ready to go. When he was sure that the smaller ghostling was holding on as before, Valkon took off for the park. It did not take him long to get there and noted that his children were already beginning to work on bones and the corpses they had gathered. Unshifting, he gently set Zion down.

"Hawke, Fosull, this is Zion. He's coming with us to see your Uncle Chronos. But I'm leaving town now. I'm heading north to wherever the light stopped. I believe that's where Chronos is. Anyone interested had better grab their things and hold on, because I'm leaving now. You will all have to squeeze onto my back and hold on or grab a tail and hang on. I'm not waiting long."

With that said, he shifted shape once more, all nine tails twitching. When he wanted to get something done, Valkon simply wanted to get it done.

He had been about to say something when his father arrived with another ghostling in tow. Hawke noted that Zion was about his age and nodded. But as he listened in surprise to what his father was saying, he glanced over at the huge pot. "But the pot.. I guess we can find one later... "

Without waiting further, Hawke crawled onto his father's back behind Zion. "Fosull, are you coming along? Or waiting on Momma? I'd just bring those corpses with us." Glancing at the other ghostlings, Alnara and Chief, Hawke figured they'd grab a tail or not. Fosull would probably get on behind him.

He was at the very edge of town, his sword in his hand still. With a grin, Arthas had brandished it at a human, scaring them away. But as he surveyed the area in front of him, he turned directly north. That was the direction the light had gone. That was where he was going.

Stepping forwards, the former lich king began moving down the road. Something beckoned to him and he planned to find it and usurp its power if he could. Making it his own could very well give him what he needed to rule once more.

Jenga pinned her ears at the dismissive way she had been addressed. She bared her fangs slightly and gave her head a haughty shake, sending her silken tresses swinging elegantly behind her. "I will come.." she began, only to have him ignore her from that point on. Irked, with her slender hand son her hips, she glared at him. Bones indeed, how could bones be of more importance? Her tail lashed, but she was on all fours and bounding after him just as quick as he left.

Her irritation increased when she wasn't even introduced to the youngsters they met in the park. How strange to come full circle, sort of. This time she took time to look about. She hadn't realized when she awoke that this was a cultivated park. She probably should have noticed the little indications, but she had been somewhat disoriented at being in a new place unexpectedly.

She regarded Valkon thoughtfully when he shifted again. Something was very familiar about that still, and though her exasperation remained, so did her curiousity. Who was this stranger, and what had him so riled up as to have such rude manners to one such as she?

Gossamer watched and listened mutely, eyes so wide and innocent one half expected her to stick a finger in her mouth as a babe might. She still stuck very close to Azshara, but her eyes took in everything. Such big blue eyes, seeming to absorb it all but reveal very little about how much she understood. The only thing she made clear was that where Azshara went, she went.

Prissy nodded seriously. "Yes, now we eat the cuppycakes." She lifted hers and gave it a delicate nibble. She savored the flavor momentarily, until movement distracted her. She blinked at the doorway into the attic. Someone was here? "Well, you might as well come on in, we've got more than we can eat here, and there is more coming yet." She gestured vaguely in the direction of the kitchen, where the old woman was finishing up the second batch of cupcakes. For good measure, she beckoned the lurker to emerge into the room. "We have plenty of extra cushions too!" She snagged one from behind her and set it on a third side of their makeshift 'feast' and patted it enticingly. The more the merrier, right?

For a moment Hikaru hesitated but soon nodded happily and walks over to the cupcake feast and sits down on one of the cushions and smiled towards prissy"Thanks for inviting me"Hikaru says in a happy tone and then looks at the cupcakes and licks her lips it had been a a while sense she had cupcakes as Hikaru thought about them her belly growled which caused Hikaru to rub her stoumich in light embarassment"heh heh iv not eatten sense i was teleported to the festival"Hikaru says with a laugh and rubs the back of her head

Hikaru then noticed there was nothing to drink even the best cupcakes in the world could always taste better with alittle tea or juice"Oh there isn't anything to drink i wonder if i could go make some tea or something"Hikaru said mostly to herself she didn't want to just start doing stuff in the old womans kitchen which she was already hard at work making nice cupcakes but still she wondered if the old woman would mind if she made some tea

Yamakazura looked about the Square... "where has everyone gone?" she heard the rumbles in the distance and saw the flash... but she was surprized she didn't see more Ghostlings... even if they were running in a panic... she found a bench and decided to rest a bit.

Chai-Lyn knew very little of what had happened. She had her lantern and was keeping warm trying to remember things when a bright light dropped her in the center of a town with all sorts of other ghostlings. There were many humans around and they seemed to be getting ready for a party or festival or something interesting. As she began to get her bearings she wondered where Wudeia had gotten to.... User Image

Wu....Wu where are you....... Chai-Lyn said as loudly as she dared...avoiding everyone until she could find Wudeia. All around her there were various kinds of ghostlings and though she could ask for help she was not yet the most outgoing as she was still so small and so young.

While Chai was looking for Wudeia she happened across the scene that was taking place in the middle of the town between a frightful looking thing with a glowing red eye and a purple fox-type fellow. They did not seem to agree on something and the purple one seemed very agitated.....

Wudeia had been sitting with Chai-Lyn when the bright light had flashed and dropped them in the center of the town. In the confusion she lost Chai and decided to sit still knowing that Chai would look for her and it was better that they were not both running in circles. User Image
During her wait for Chai, Wudeia listened to all that went on around her.....she heard the talking in the center of town....she heard someone mention a sea monster....and yet she still sat and waited...

Chai found Wudeia but not until she had been all over and seen all sorts of things...from games being played at the festival to a "sea monster" by the dock. Just as she found Wu they saw a very bright light shoot to the North. What was that?!? Chai asked Wu, not really expecting an answer.

I am not sure but it seems that several others are going to follow it...I think we should follow them...it may assist us in remembering things we have forgotten.... Wu decided for the both of them and off the floated trying to follow the purple fox with the ghostling on his back.....

((OOC - i hope i didn't totally mess that up guys. coming in so late i was trying to cover all my bases and still make sense. PLEASE let me know if there is something i can do better and i will try to do so next post. thank you!!))

Frowning a moment Fosull sighed, "alright, we'll take care of them later on." With a bit of a shrug she pulled herself onto Valkon's back behind her brother, wiggling some she made sure her corpse bag was secure. After all she didn't want to lose anything that she had collected earlier.

"Anyone else grabbing a tail?" Glancing over to the others she asked, if they wanted to come they'd get there at least. She wasn't going to be giving her seat up though.

Ember eyed the new arrival for a few long moments thoughtfully, she was already sharing the cuppy cakes with Prissy and really didn't know if she'd want to share more with someone else. But hearing Prissy's response to the other ghostling the little ghostling smiled and gestured to the seat as well.

"You can join us! There will be enough especially since more are coming," she was pretty sure if she really really tried that she'd been able to eat all the cuppy cakes but since more were around it couldn't hurt to share. "I'm Ember?! Who are you?"

"Well meet you there," once Valkon headed off Azshara looked over to regard her quiet follower. "Lets get going then, I'll stay close to the shore so you don't have to walk alone. But once we get further north I'll need you to help me find a water route."
PostPosted: Sun Nov 01, 2009 7:35 am

(( OOC... Look for the new thread if you are following Valkon to see what happened. ))

]The moment his daughter was firmly on, Valkon howled and then jumped forwards. He was pretty certain that Zion, Hawke, and Fosull would hang on tightly. His kids were used to going for rides and Zion should be getting used to it now. He paid little attention to those hanging onto his tails or if there even were any. Alnara could fly, so if she wanted she would keep up. Loa would find her own way. He knew she'd have to investigate as much as he would and he fully expected her to be there.

With Azshara heading along the coast, the entity knew she would have information on the shore edge itself. He'd talk to her later about that.

Moving excitedly towards the edge of the town again, Valkon stopped, pacing back and forth for a moment. Then he was out the gate and into the surrounding area. Straight north was where he was headed and this time there was no turning back.
