Banshi led her to the Ruins. No one was there, all was silent. It was daylight, but it was starting to turn into night. Turning to face her, Banshi asked, "So, you ready Mercy?"

Banshi reached into her pocket, and pulled out a handful of needles, not caring they were poking into her skin. Actually, i was nice so they would not move out of place. "I would like to test your vision and how fast you can move." Turning around, she showed Mercy the small needles, then started throwing, beginning with only a few, the small blades quickly at Mercy with perfect aim. Of course, she would not hit any vitals in case Mercy did not see one.

Not daring to blink she moved with as much grace as she could muster, twisting only as much as she had to in order to avoid the projectiles. only two hit her, one hitting the skin on her shoulder and bounching off and the other hitting her up.. sticking into her clothing and blunting the tip of the needle as it hit her flesh. still shocked at how strong her body was, Mercy pulled the needle from her jeans and studied its smashed form.. puzzled. " how exactly.. did i become this, do you think? is it normal?" only diamonds had been able to cut her.. and it would take some one near equal in strength to get a diamond through her skin.. Hawk had been intent on makeing her aware of her weakness's.

Banshi said simply, "There is nothing normal about crusniks, we all vary in our abilities, strengths, and weaknesses. As for why you are what you are, or the way you are... I'm still not sure about that, for any of us, including myself." Banshi smiled sweetly, "Also, you did a great job blocking those, although we could work on it to get you to get you better. Care to try again with the same amount of needles?"

Nodding she took her stance again, holding inhumanly still as she said softly. " while i was with Hawk, he gave me the answers i needed.." unblinking she revealed exactly what she was going to do with herself.. her tone makeing it clear she wouldnt be swayed. " i am going to protect you, so you can protect the others without looking over your shoulder... will you accept this Boss?" little could hurt her.. and with her training and strength little could stand in her way.

Banshi nodded. "I'll accept this... but can you accept, and trust, if I tell you to run, that you will run. And that if I tell you to go here or there, or to do something difficult or seemingly crazy, you'll do it?" She tossed the needles again, waiting to see how well Mercy did this time.

Without loosing focus she dodged and swayed, weaving away from each of the needles. " I will trust and obey, but only if i am sure you will be safe in those actions. if you attempt to send me away, and i know you will be hurt badly, i will not go." she glanced at Banshi, the last needle hitting her open palm as she caught it. " without you our race is forfit."

Banshi smiled, this was the response she liked to hear. Taking out twice as many needles, she held them up and said, "So, if I told you I'd live... could you tell if I was serious, or if I was bluffing if that situation came about? And would you risk it, how would you know when to trust me?" She tossed the needles at her.

" Instinct." She answered honestly, moving sharply to avoid the missles. a few hit her, but she only smiled.. she was comeing to find she liked training. " I will trust myself to know when things are going badly, and to see when your in danger."

Banshi nodded, and pulling out the same number of needles, pausing before tossing them, she said, although happily, you could tell she was serious. "If you can trust yourself, Mercy, you can always trust in me. If you can trust in yourself, you can trust that you will never be fooled." Tossing them, she tossed them a bit faster this time.

Inclining her head in return she studied the incoming missles, dodging the first few befoe she started teaching out.. catching some of them. none hit her, and she only missed catching two of them.. the needles hitting the stone block some distance behind her.

"Good." Banshi said, pulling out now about five times more, approximately a hundred needles. Holding them up, Banshi said, "You know I have good aim... I trust, within a few tries, you'll manage to handle these. Then, I need to start striking at where someone with the intent of killing you would, to teach you how to guard those vital points. Ready?"
