Leon read the message, turning to where the note had pointed him. At last, they were lead to where Tura was residing, where he had masterminded this entire scheme. He would put a stop to him. There was no "try", Leon would put a stop to him.

He took his axe from his belt, gripping it firmly as if to prepare for a battle yet to come. There would be no shackles for this one, he was getting taken down. His eyes glanced in all directions to the rest of his comrades, who'd been with him through it all. After mounting Anri, he pointed the poleaxe forward. "Tha' way." he said simply. "We go tha' way, an' end it all, now."

"Perfect." Melethia thought. She snuck back out the window. She made her way to the place of the Finale, by the means of flying low to the ground. It didn't matter to her if anyone spotted her. She was going to the same place everyone else was.

Before Isadora could speak, she heard a hissing noise. Listening to the noise, Isadora followed to the source of it. She opened her eyes wide as she watched the blood dissolving, revealing a note from Tura.

The paladin read what the note said. She knew that they had failed to save the victims. However, it seemed that they were still in the game so far. They were the knights he was mention. Tura was the king. But who was the queen he was referring to?

Below the taunting was the description of his location. There was no riddle, no clue. Just plain and simple words to give out the direction. Was it hard to give out an answer so briefly?

Above the fireplace, she read the words written. Somehow, she felt mockery coming from these words. He was referring to the their expression about the deaths of the victims. Somehow, she didn't find it funny about the last death.

Isadora heard Amelia left the room. Concern spread through her. She was unsure what Amelia felt through these mocking words?

A moment later, Amelia came back with her lance. Isadora watched her looked at everyone in the room before the General's eyes set on hers. Green met Blue. There was concern in Isadora's eyes as she watched Amelia gave a small smile and walked out.

Isadora quickly followed her. She didn't want to stay in the room longer. If Tura had sent his invitation to them, then they would come. She would not allow him to win.

Isadora went to her horse and climbed on. With her weapons and sitting secured, Isadora rode to Amelia. The paladin slowed Tuomas down and looked at Amelia.

"It will be faster on a horse than on foot." Isadora said as she offered her hand to Amelia, sending an invitation to ride her horse. Isadora promised that she would protect Amelia. And if Amelia wanted to stop Tura, then she would help her. After all, Amelia was a grown woman to make her decision, even if Isadora was her guardian. If she couldn't protect Amelia as a guardian, then she would protect her as knight of Pharae and the crew member of FEF guild.

Amelia paid little attention to Leon, offering only a small nod. She could see the tower, the outline of the mansion in the distance. The end of Tura's sick, twisted game was near. Amelia gripped her spear more tightly in her hands and continued to walk.

Her thoughts weren't so focused on recent events to not hear her guardian, however; Amelia turned her green eyes up silently as Isadora asked her to ride behind her on Tuomas. Amelia didn't answer her, but gave a grateful nod and took Isadora's hand. She settled in behind the Paladin, one hand on her shoulder to keep her balance, the other holding her lance to the side where it wouldn't bump against either woman or Tuomas.

"...Let's hurry," Amelia murmured.

"What... I mean is... Being a member of the holy order doesn't mean you can't put your own wants first sometimes. The goddess is supposed to be all‑forgiving, right? You've worked hard and you deserve to do some things that make you happy.

"Indeed," Isadora nodded. "We shall put an end to his sick, twisted game."

Isadora snapped her reins. Tuomas let out a neigh as he stood on his hind legs and suddenly began to gallop toward the mansion. The pounding of his hooves kicked the scrapes of earth from its surface.

Onward they determinedly rode to the mansion. To their final battle with Tura. There was no escape. No mercy. And no forgiveness. Tura will receive the full punishment of the law and order.

Melethia made it to the black tower before anyone else. Her wings dissapeared and she entered.

"They are coming Tura." She said. She slipped into the shadows once again, right near the door. Now all she had to do was wait.

Ghis had to restrain a snort when he heard the news.

Yes, Tura COULD have scratched out his own rules. Yes, he COULD have just left them in the dark for as long as he liked. But he didn't, now, did he? Who's more foolish--the fool, or the mastermind who reveals all to the fool?

Granted, it was possible that Tura was lying, as he HAD stated he didn't have to follow his own rules. But the thing was, would he lie? All this time, he'd always followed the same pattern: Kill someone, mutilate the body quite a bit, then leave some sort of... interesting message. This latest one just proved Tura's character--by largely ignoring him, the Assassin had now gotten so annoyed that he'd painted a bullseye on himself.

Still... now came the time to actually FACE the man in question. That was another matter entirely, for it didn't change the fact that this guy was still as tough as they came. He'd need... reinforcements. Javert was a decent foot soldier, he'd do well. As for the "Priest" they'd locked up--he had a vague feeling of being watched, and he hadn't patted Fireman down for lockpicks or anything like that, so there was a Halberdier and a jack-of-all-trades coming with (even if said jack wasn't very friendly at the moment). Now, if only they could bring along somebody else, perhaps, to round out the group at large...

User Image[FYI, Marina masquerades as male, in case the repeated references to it in my post weren't enough. So if you point her out as female and you're not a mind reader, then you're wrong. D: ]

It was once again that Marina found herself in a pub. She wasn't much of a heavy drinker, but it was nice to have some sort of alcohol to take her mind off things every once in a while. Of course, few people drank for the taste, but this ale was just simply amazing. It had a very rich taste, and Marina was enjoying it so much she had to remind herself that she didn't like to get drunk. It kind of reminded her of this place she liked to go back in Grado, but hey, that was another time. She looked up, and she made a mental note of the location of the pub so she could visit it later. It was in this town called Eyris, in the middle of the province of Learania.

She was ready to stand up and clear out of the pub and make her way across the continent when a burly man entered. He was large and muscular, Marina silently guessing that he must be some sort of typically armored soldier. His entry was accompanied with a very loud, barely coherent shout.

"Aright, ah'm Lookin' Fer Group!"

'Looking for group', huh? It was the typical mercenary-seeking call. Marina patted her pocket - it felt admittedly light. And she hadn't accepted formal merc work since she was in Magvel. Honestly, she was feeling a bit rusty.

After waiting a moment, during which no one approached the man, instead choosing to eye him suspiciously, Marina stood up from her place, gathering a share of stares herself. She stiffly walked over to him, her gait emphasizing the double-ended lance on her back. "I may be interested," she spoke in her rough tone. "Name's Piers. Job pay well?"

He nodded and paused to look her down. In her black clothing that concealed her form, though, he wouldn't see much. "...Yeh don't have anyone who'll miss yeh if yeh... yeh know...?"

She hesitated just a moment. "...Not anymore. I'm in."

Of course, she couldn't have expected what the job would have in store. It was an extremely creepy story, and the feeling of dread lay perpetual in the air. The time was evening, and the growing darkness intensified the feeling. Marina was crept up in a tree outside the manor, eying the door intensely. It was habit for her - she often liked to climb trees and sit in their canopy when she was upset or she needed to think. She had been trailing the group for some time now, taking advantage of stealth to find out whatever she could about the situation. Unfortunately, she knew little more than what the primary group knew; this guy was apparently that good.

Upon watching the group finally leave the manor, she leapt down from her perch and approached her hirer. "Sorry," she apologized to him quietly, "got lost. Hope I didn't miss much." As she strode alongside him, she remained quiet, taking in the conversation as they approached a great mansion in the distance. Perhaps someone would question the presence of this enigmatic man. But with her fairly obvious lance and demeanor, her worth would soon be decided.

Where ever I wander, where ever I roam,
There's only one place I'll ever call 'home'

The Magic Swordman Master Lord, Roy

User Image

Roy had hitched a ride, so he was now sitting behind Leon on horseback. He didn't want to tire himself out, trying to catch up with the others who were on horseback. He would need his strength for the final confrontation.

He had noticed someone flying out of FEFGA's house and immediately recognized it as Melethia. What was she doing all the way out here?! And...she was flying towards their destination, the tower. Why?

Perhaps he would find his answers at their destination.

The house was foreboding; a great mansion in the ancient style, that was normally passed by on the other side of the street. It really didn't look bad; in fact, were it not for the black paint it would be quite a nice place. However, there were two things that set it apart. One was the tower jutting from the roof at the back of the building; this crooked fang shot up another five or six stories above the roof of the house. The other thing was not physical; instead, it was the sense you got when you stood nearby, that the house was watching, that it was in some way alive and breathing, but of course that was ridiculous. Houses couldn't be alive. Houses were houses. They were made of wood and brick and mortar. . . But, then again so were clock towers. . .

But before one got to the house, one would stop at the rickety porch. And on the porch sat a lone figure, not moving, posture slumped as if in dejection. As Melethia arrived first, he didn't look up, didn't even move. Instead, he spoke in a hollow, defeated tone. "He wants you inside. He wants you to wait for the others. He says to agree with them, and to help the Queen until she reaches the top... the others will be handled." He paused for a second, then added, "It's wrong... this isn't what we'd planned... be careful..."

Although Leon had a head start before Isadora, the paladin had managed to pass the Watch lieutenant. Isadora galloped toward the mansion with Amelia riding behind her. It wouldn't be long when they reached to the place.

Few minutes had passed and Isadora halted Tuomas. The paladin looked at the mansion before them. The place wasn't so bad.... If it wasn't covered in black and had the tower looming over it. Yet, why did she had a feeling that something was odd about this house?

Isadora let that aside. She didn't have time to investigate the house. She and Amelia were here to stop Tura.

"Be careful, Amelia." Isadora said as she pulled out her Spear. "We don't know what Tura had in store for us. After all, we're in his territory now."

The tower was looming over the manor, clearly foreign. Sure, Leon wouldn't have minded so much if he were just stepping into a rickety old manor (he'd done so many times before and knew what to expect), but the fact the tower was there and wasn't before chilled him as much as Tura's very words.

"This thin' ain't nat'ral..." he muttered to no one in particular, but he was catching up to Isadora, Anri pulling up smoothly beside Tuomas. "If ya want me t' be honest, I ain't never bel'ived in ghost stories an' morphs an' such... 'til that Madriana person. An' now this too..."

Just then, he noticed the young lord hitching a ride on Anri. His steed didn't throw a fit, so it's not like Leon minded or anything. He knew far too well how hard it was to get around without a horse, so he let the redhead stay.

Amelia attempted to suppress a shiver as Isadora approached the manor. There was something very not right about this place. "It gives me the creeps..." Amelia murmured. She slowly dismounted as Tuomas came to a halt. As Amelia held her spear before her in both hands, she saw the figure on the porch.

She stared for a few moments. It shocked her to realize that she hadn't recognized him at first, but this person... it couldn't really be him. Could it? His body language, his eyes... just... everything was wrong.

"Uncle...?" Amelia approached him and slowly knelt next to his chair. The fury hadn't quite subsided, but the concern was clear. One hand went to the arm of the chair, the other touching his shoulder. "Uncle, what happened to you? Say something...!"

Melethia took off the hood and the scarf and hid them somewhere. She waited in the building supposedly unknowing of what's going on.

Ghis nodded at Piers' appearance. "Good. We'll be needin' ah th' help we can get," he said, patting the young man on his shoulder. "Here's tae hopin' tha' lance o' yers serves ye well."

He then frowned, eyes turning to the front door. Something wasn't what they'd planned? That wasn't good. This entire scheme was based on predicting what had thus far been a fairly predictable enemy. If he'd changed to becoming "unpredictable"... if he was no longer going to follow his own rules... he needed to be stopped, now. No questions asked.

"Check fer a back door, Javert 'n Fireman, 'n if there's none, come inside," Ghis ordered as he marched through the front door. "Leon, Piers, and 'ooever that guy is, come inside."

Who knew if the house was haunted or not? One assassin was (or at least had darn well better be) in there somewhere, one who was doing something strange. If he wasn't stopped here and let loose into the city again, there was no telling when things would stop. The grandmother and child were too late to explain away, could not be explained away. Already, people were beginning to think that either the murderer was insane or Ghis was a terrible liar. The General couldn't afford to let the latter be true...

(Not sure if Ghis knows who Roy is. If he should, my bad.)

How did he guess I was...? If anime teardrops were real, one would have slid down the side of Jin's head as he hid behind some nearby trees, invisible to the group at large. Hmmph. He expects me to clean up his mess? Fine. I suppose I must...

It had been an easy escape earlier. For whatever reason, Ghis hadn't removed his lockpicks, allowing for the Priest to escape. He couldn't find the stilettos--there was no time, and they weren't on anyone's desk--but gold and nimble fingers were two things he had to make up for those. If the head of the Watch can let people die to make the assassin tip his hand, I can take a Guiding Ring to help bring the suspect down, were his thoughts as he tagged behind, leaving half price for the Ring, Fire tome, and Mend Staff (Guiding Rings were overpriced anyway).

Ahh, but what could he be...? A Bishop just... didn't suit him at the time. When he was a young lad, his family was ruled by a most uncaring lord. When he was a young man, the Black Fang was torn apart from within by a foul Dark Druid. He hadn't seen much reason to stay close to a goddess, and besides that he hardly felt like a "holy" man. Druid was ruled out by Nergal--it was too soon to trust the dark arts so easily. That meant...

The Sage emerged, running for the back door, Fire tome and Mend staff in his hands.
