"Are you dumb human? Are you just going to keep asking or are you at least going to fight back? I am not playing twenty questions with you." Said Darastrix as he crouched low to the ground, never taking his eyes off Olin.
Darastrix again streched his wings and with the help of his powerful muscles, shot himself at Olin.
He was almost faster then the human eye could see and without warning was on top of Olin. But he did not strike.
At the last moment he twisted and attacked, not Olin, but Arc with full force.

Olin, who was used to demon fights, grabbed on to Darastrix's foot. though his weight wouldn't stop the demon, it allowed him to stab at the demons ribs.

Jillian ran past Arc, grabbing him as she went, so they both toppled into a tree, slightly bruised from the tree, but safe.

Arc was pulled on by Jillian. "We can't just leave him."

Darastrix was caught off guard as his foot was grabbed, causing him to quickly slow down. He had not a chance to block as Olin's blade made contact with his chest, cutting deep.
Darastrix quickly flipped, pulling both Olin off and the blade out in the same motion before landing on his feet.
"I'll admit... your fast for a human." He said, still grinning, almost as if he felt no pain. He stood and took another fighting stance till suddenly he dropped his blade to grab his head. "AHH! N-Not now you fool!" He yelled out as he fell to his knees, clutching his head.
Bolts of what could only be described as black lightning bounced around on his skin as he knelled there in obvious pain. "N-No!"
Suddenly it all just stopped and slowly Darastrix dropped his hands before looking up to see Olin. His face was no longer the madman that had been there once before.
His eyes were soft, softer then before at least. The red was still dominant, but it did not glow like before. He seemed more angry now then anything else, but his anger was not directed at Olin or anyone nearby for that matter.
Quickly Darastrix stood and backed away, clutching his chest. He cursed quietly to himself, his voice no longer demonic like before. It was deep, yet soothing in a way despite the harsh words that it had been used for.
With great haste he took off into the sky, leaving only a small puddle of blood and his blade behind that slowly started to turn to smoke without it's master's touch.

Everyone in the group stood in silence for a moment. What had just happened?

Olin smiled. "Guess I scared him away," he said half-heartedly. He knew that that wasn't the case, but deep down he really hoped that what he said was true. "You two ok?" he asked. He just really wanted them to help him change the subject.

"Fine..." Jillian said, not even bruised, though Arc had been. Kaitlyn wondered how a human could not bruise when an angel did, but said nothing.
Soyala whistled. "Wow, you guys have a lot of adventure, huh?"

"Thats good," Olin responded as he sheathed his weapons. "I wish we had more...." he stopped. "Did that wolf just talk to me?" he asked stepping back. Demons he understood, but talking animals were just wierd.

Darastrix landed not too far away from where he had taken off. The pain in his chest too much for him to continue flight with.
"Damn it all... *cough*" He held his chest as he continued on foot. He was slow, and obviously in pain both in his head and in his chest, but he did not allow that to stop him.
He finally came to a stop at a nearby stream. He was still mumbling to himself as he sat down in the crook of a nearby tree and relaxed a bit before removing his shirt and examining his wounds.
The gash was deep, obviously reaching his lung, but not deep enough to be deadly so long as it did not become infected.

Arc was rubbing his head where there was now a bruise. "I rather take the hit then a lady." He was smiling and and picked up his blade. Because he dropped it when Jillian pulled him. "Let's get going now, and I'll lead the way this time."

Neferous shook his head with confusion. He had followed the were-wolf back to his friends. Apparently Olin didn't know what she was. A second later he noticed the stains of blood on the ground and on Olin. By the scent it spoke of a demon. He could even see the tension of battle by Arc's bruise.
Stooping down, Neferous pondered the splatter of blood on the ground. He tasted a bit on his thumb, a displeasing and primitive gesture. After a moment he saw a trail of blood droplets heading a little off the road."Follow me," he announced to Arc, "The demon went this way." When he was certain the wolf wasn't dangerous he turned to the trail and followed it.

"No," Olin said right away. "Leave the demon alone. I have already proven that I am able to take him. He won't attack us while we are in a larger group. What we need is to continue towards our goal. We aren't on a bloodhunt."

Darastrix slowly stood after washing his wounds. The bleeding had stopped, but he was still in quite a bit of pain. "Idiot! Picking a fight at a time like this! What kind of demon are you! Ugh, had to switch didn't I? Couldn't just stay where you were could you!?" He yelled at himself in anger before he started on his way though the woods.
If the group fallowed him again, he would have to unleash his power again, but without restraint.
Darastrix was a... 'strange' demon. He wasn't the stereotype that most demons were. Evil, blood thirsty, almost crazy.... no, that wasn't him, not the real him anyway.
Without anymore hesitation he continued on his way to the nearest town. He knew demons weren't welcome, but he had connections that would keep him safe till he healed... if they hadn't been caught themselves.

What was Nef thinking? "No, we're not here to fight demons. We're here to get to Iola and Ruman." He was beginning to feel frustrated. "Are you trying to get us off track?"
