And I just realized that we don't have an Aquatic race.

Perhaps a variation on the naga-esque race?...

:Gasp!: surprised
Merfolk then! biggrin I insist! they must be able to walk on land as in MTG, but it must require them use of energy or willpower, so that many who spend extended periods of time on land must wear special pendants or bracelts or something that make it easier on them. many would then become merchants and ambassadors!
and perhaps Cephalids as well which are completely aquatic, but may have ways of socializing on land via special buildings with glass windows which they can swim up to. they would have strong Psychic abilities and be mechanical and scientific geniusus!

Chemosh of Krynn In regards to lust and love being different deities, I do believe that should occur since lust is more a lack of will and a collapse towards "evil" in the form of random sex... Or am I wrong... and yes... very wrong. there is no lack of will. rather, it is a deliberate embrace of carnal emotion, and the ecstasy of madness. but then again i could be biased. xd how about then, a deity of Madness, and both he and the love deity have Lust as a shared minor portfolio?

I have three for madness deities from one of my old campaigns in D&D they were demigods. But I can adapt them easily...
Syermarouge (See-er-ma-roo-ja): Once a god of valor and truth he took his crusade against evil straight to the primordial chaos that lied on the borders of the multiverse. He was swiftly overcome by the amphorous matter of chaos and lost all sense of self, becoming a being devoid of remorse or reasoning.
Epion: A goddess that sprang from the clash of two diametrically opposed overdeities, Epion was the utter lack of reasoning inherent in all things, having no true form to claim as her own she radically shifts between the bodies and tongues of all things in existence.
Azoo: Once an avatar of some long dead deity, Azoo was imprisoned in a sword by a powerful godslaying atheist. Upon his release his quasi divine form became unstable from the lack of a host deity. Seeking a way to preserve his life Azoo took a deal with another deity who shared a portfolio akin to his makers own. Unfortunately, his new host was slain by another deluded godslayer, however he could not recover as well from a second disruption of his quasi divine form, as his new host died his body fed on the pain and death of his new host slowly driving him (literally) to the brink of sanity. There he witnessed the truth of all things and lost his sense of identity, altering his very essence to that of a blank faced god whose very mind holds the secrets of the multiverse, and the madness that accompanies such truths.
Romanov, want to use them? I only got a single campaign for each so it's not as if they are mainstream...

I like all of them except Azoo. He's just... Too much. All the secrets of the multi-verse? You could ask him for the secret of immortality. Or some thing else that makes you uber-awesome. But the other two are fine. Anyone else have a vote? But I would say Epion would be more than a demi-god. Maybe a minor god? But not a demi-god.
@Black-star... Couldn't Naga's all be amphibian? That would work. But they would have to give something else up. Hmm... And on Merpeople... Going onto land would be EXTREMELY difficult. Their supposed to be aquatic, right? Then they would have to move like a snake. Slowing them down significantly. And it's very taxing on the body. Otherwise, I think Merpeople would be a great idea.

Also, Stats? How are the begining ones gotten? Is it like a D&D system? Or you get certain starting ones and add some points? Because the races stats would be easier with the latter...

Not even worrying about racial stats yet.
And a setting I encountered once had merpeople with a varied population, in that some were born with very finny legs and some with the traditional tails. We could probably use that idea, especially since the changes caused by whatever caused the merpeople in the first place would probably be a bit random, ne? So they'd be more severe in some than others.

i was envisioning them being able to transform into legged beings. but okies.
and i like all three of them! surprised i adore the ideas! plus, Broken, just because a deity knows all al th secrets of the multiverse, or has seen them once, does not mean in any way that you could make your character all-powerfull y asking him to tell you. what if he doesn't want to tell you? or perhaps he knows why he shouldn't? and hell, maybe there are some things that can only be known by experienceing for yourself?

(Crap, sorry for missing the ceremony Romanov. Got called in to work by my boss emo scream , when is the second ceremony?)
Thank you for approving of my deities! Azoo, is utterly insane for that matter, he is as likely to use that knowledge as to sit smoking a candle stick and retelling how to make water boil. I rarely, if ever, have played an aquatic race so my opinion of them and concepts of them are virtually nonexistent...
To: XxBroken_And_ShatteredxX, I only designed the deities as demi-gods for my own campaigns, they aren't going to be that way if they are implemented in this world...

Indeed. Having to make a deal for the knowledge is an aspect I've always liked. Can't get anything without giving back.

xd i was actually having fun messing around with a few god ideas yesterday, taking a mostly totemic feel to them... it's not finished yet, but it more like i was playing around with ideas. i got inspired at the Museum, which we went to for my sister's birthday.

Alright then I got our Death/ Undeath Deity all ready!...
Nervioz (pronounced N-er-V-oz): Nervioz was born of the primordial chaos at the beginning of the universe, however he was not inherently the deity of death. He was originally a god of creation, but when his first most beloved child died in a conflict with another deity he fell into a deep depression that lasted centuries. When he awoke from his depression he was completely changed, shape, mind, every fiber of his divine being. He felt no anger, no love, no emotion at all. Only pure death was his domain, all whose time had ended flock to him, seeking his unconditional acceptance...
What do you all think?

i'm realy intrigued by your theme of gods who change like people do... as though their domains swirl around between them over time, based on the cosmic events that take place around them. that they exist like we do, and the effects of those transformations effect the world. the gods are in all ways forces of nature, and phenominae.
