My favorite game would have to be..... Chrono Trigger, very fond memories of beating it over and over to get all the endings. Chrono Cross was good, I just thought the tie-ins with the original game were a little forced. A plain sequal to the original would be good.... but it won't happen unless whosits gets the rights to the game since he retired from Square.
On that note, what are the thoughts on Blue Dragon for the 360?

Fire Emblem: Path of Radience. It's a nice strategy game and It has a great storyline and charaters.
I'm cant wait for Fire Emblem: Goddess of Dawn to come out, the sequel to Path of Radience.

Mmmm..... Mass Effect..... the want is large..... must attack Bioware for copy..... [Drools slightly]. I really hope it focuses more on the rpg portion than the shooter, I haven't really played any good rpg shooters.... Deus Ex might have been ok, but for some reason I felt like throwing up as I played it, which usually isn't a good sign.

Well, as far as RPGs for the 360, I've played Enchanted Arms, and Oblivion. Enchanted arms was alright, I got bored with it after a few days, it's worth a rent. As for Oblivion, I loved it much, it made me very happy..... for about a month. The only problems I had with it was that the enemies that level up with you, (if you want to evade that, get the pc version, it also has the xbox live downloads for free) and the fact that it just didn't seem as massive as Morrowind.
However, don't be discouraged. Just over the month or two horizon rests a few rpgs that are supposed to be great. Bioshock and Mass Effect are RPG/First Person Shooters, but things look very promising. I'm especially anticipating Mass Effect since it's being made by Bioware (Makers of Knights of the Old Republic, Neverwinter Nights, and Jade Empire).
In terms of more classic RPG style, there's Blue Dragon to look forward to. Many will be put off by the games cartoony style, but considering it was made by the three genius minds behind my favorite game ever made (Chrono Trigger) I have little doubts about its greatness.
Oh! I don't know how I forgot to mention it, but theres also a game coming out by the name of Two Worlds. It's supposed to be like..... well I suppose I would sum it up as Oblivion Plus. Imagine Oblivion (Or any Elder Scrolls/ Open Rpg) but with newer graphics, fighting system, mounted combat, and Online Co-op play.
There's also quite a few more to look forward to in the future. Rumors of another Knights of the Old Republic and Jade Empire are floating about, and announcements of exclusives from Square Enix, and Mistwalker.

Blue Dragon sounds very interesting (more of the fact that it's created by the same people who made Chrono Trigger --- best game of all time). I really miss those kind of old school RPGs from SNES. Why don't they make more of those kinds? Or am I just getting too old. Haha.
Any idea when Blue Dragon comes out?

C-flexfc, you are my kind of people! The majority of current classic style rpgs are for the PS2, Disgaea is a strategy rpg, but I highly recommend it to anyone into rpgs, it has good humor and a great game system in general. I recently obtained what I consider to be a hidden gem by the name of Growlanser Generations. I'm sure plenty will disagree with me, but I loved it's open endedness, yet classic art style and simple control system. Make no mistake, it's not easy (Unless you train, which I did the 2nd time around, on that note, does anyone else have the problem where they somewhat super level the main character, and then when you need your other characters strong you realize.... uh-oh.). Wow, looking up Blue Dragon on IGN reveales that they are already planning a sequal, which means the original is grand. Heres the release dates US: August 2007 Japan: December 7, 2006 Europe: September 28, 2007 The game will span across three dvds...... wow, that makes it larger than oblivion....... mmmm...... This Article is a bit old, but it stills tells you a bit about more 360 rpgs coming out, after Blue Dragon and Mass Effect, I'm realing looking forward to Fable 2, Elveon, and Lost Odyssey. As for most of the rpgs already out for the 360, you're going to want to look before you leap because some of them are barely on the verge of being mediocre. Still, if you want something to play while you wait, I once again advise Disgaea.

Too bad I don't have a PS2 anymore >.< Although Disgaea does sound interesting. I guess I'll just have to keep waiting before starting any new RPGs.
Fable was a fun game, I'll be looking forward to the second one as well. Although, I'm not quite sure if I actually beat the game though... I have this strange habit of playing a game all the way to the end, but never quite beating the game. Well, there are a few exceptions like Chrono Trigger (never get sick of that game. In fact, I got a SNES system with Chrono Trigger for my birthday. mrgreen ), FFIII, Earthbound (which was a very unique game), and maybe one or two for PS1. Strange habit I tell you.

I suffer from that same dilemma, especially with Final Fantasy. It's not that I don't like the games, it's just that I get distracted by something else, then never get back around to finishing it.
One of the reasons I could beat Chrono Trigger over and over is because of the fact that it's hard to get bored of, and its has multiple endings. I wish they would have made the sequel with the time theme as opposed to the strange dimension/fate change theme. Still, I thought it was worth playing.

I didn't finish Chrono Cross either >.< I think my ps1 broke down and I ended up selling all of my games. I don't even remember what that game was about... oh well.
More recently, I've been playing with my wii. Unfortunately that system doesn't have many games. I'm waiting for Smash Bros though... hope it's fun.

Well, there are always those expansion sets for Oblivion, which (I've heard) add a lot to it.
Furthermore, I didn't beat Chrono Cross either, lol. I much preferred Chrono Trigger.
And I'm going through one of those phases with my games. I'm starting to go back and play all my old ones from my NEW, SNES, N64 and even PS1. In fact, I'm playing Harvest Moon BTN right now. xD
Two Worlds, by the way you described it it might be something more like a Guild Wars and Elder Scrolls mix? Hrm, I can only imagine the vastness of it then! xD
Fable was pretty awesome, but fairly easy. I loved playing the evil guy. Come to think of it, playing the evil guy is always fun. Like in KOTOR, it's so much more fun, challenging, and hilarious to play the evil character. In Morrowind as well, killing all the great people is sweetness (Like me killing all the Tribunal and taking Vivec's Wraithguard. I hope I'll be able to get it to work). I just wish the game could allow me to create my own religion, placing me as the God of it (after killing the Tribunal).
I've heard that Twilight Princess for the Wii is a great game. I've also heard it's for Game Cube too! So hopefully I'll be able to get it sometime soon and see for myself.

Yes, playing evil characters is always great fun, the only problem being that most games support good deeds over bad. For example, in Kotor, you can choose to rob a kind working class citizen and get a substantial amount of credits, or you help him, and eventually gain access to some fun lightsaber piece. I suppose the exception to this would be getting the extremly entertaining sword at the end of Fable if you ____ your ______ (don't want to spoil anything for anyone) which you can use to kill all those insolent townsfolk who at one point called you chicken chaser.....
Also, I found it pretty hard to be evil in Bioware's Jade Empire just because I didn't want to kill my allies.... still, evil in that can bring about the games coolest ally. Speaking of Jade Empire, if it works for the Xbox 360, then theres a good game as well.
Alright, here's my question, does anyone know of a good online RPG. I never got into Diablo, World of Warcraft was only fun until I realized it was almost exactly like Everquest, and Guild Wars.... well, the aspect of not being able to plummet from large cliffs into deep ravines in a way that should cause painful death, was a severe put off.
I have to say, the only online rpgs I really had good times with were.... Baulder's Gate II, Neverwinter Nights I (Number two gives me huge slowdown during online play), and well.... thats about it. My attraction to these was probably due to the RP servers. Well anyway, my question is still regarding good online (preferably not monthly charging) rpgs.
Oh, and has anyone else played any of the Monster Rancher series? I've played 2-5, and while I only really like 2 and 4, I found the game play to be pretty addictive.

I've also noticed that being evil (when you have the choice) in games is often the harder choice. Predominantly in KotoR. Especially on Korriban when you have to kill the entire Training Place. Although I did have great fun slaughtering them all as they fell before my unstoppable onslaught.
I don't really play much online RPGs. They all tend to be the same. Even in their storylines (if there is even one). I'm more into the games like Starcraft, Warcraft, Ogre battle, Final Fantasy, Zelda, etc. Those types, the one's that usually have a strategic element in them. Plus, they tend to have a better plot to! Except for Morrowind, of course.
