"How can I move on from Sunday?"
"When everything I've tried so far eludes me?"

Cαsτειιo
"Weeds will grow 'round my feet..."
______________

So hard to breathe... so hard to keep his eyes open... He could feel someone leaning on his chest... a flash of green, or black, or both, or something...

And Annis' voice... "A-annis," he gasped softly, blood trickling down his cheek. "I... I don't want to d-die... I c... I'm s-sorry..." He closed his eyes for a moment, weakly moving his blood-soaked hand up from his wound to the Tervingi Crest itself. It gleamed in the sunlight as he took the necklace in hand. "Please... Annis..." He coughed, staring down at the wound for a moment before he lay back. "I want you to have this... I think I love you," he murmured. "Finish... what we started so long... so..." He closed his eyes again, then took a deep breath, released it shakily...

He stood in a garden, smiling down at his Branded son. Bright light at the gates beckoned him, and her reached down, laughing, to pick the boy up as he walked through into the bright light of tomorrow...

And was gone.

Sue was almost hesitant to fire the arrow, still being unmounted and now beside Isadora. But she was the only one that knew Misura's weakness! ... the one besides Jyoti.

The nomad aimed for the place she'd spotted earlier, her old guilt resurfacing only for a moment before she pushed it aside. Sue knew what she was fighting for, and she knew what she had to do. Besides... Jyoti had been falling to Loch long before she nocked one of Myulgre's arrows. As soon as the Sage's spell combo rained upon the Valkyrie, Sue released Myulgre's arrow once again... as Misura was in the heat of battle with Isadora.

It was an aim that would never miss... and power was behind the arrow like none she ever fired. Behind the arrow was her courage, and the memories she shared with all of FEF, her new tribe. It was an arrow with all her resolve behind it... the arrow to end it.

Lance yelped as his shirt was pulled up and she sprinkled the medicine into his wound. It stung quite a bit, but since he wasn't ready for it, he didn't have time to react that much to it. Instead, he just listened to her talking. She was mentioning how this wasn't the best time for introductions, but he didn't care. "If now's not the time for talking, then when is it?"

She ignored him, however, as she edged away to the trees. She was telling him to escape, which he once again tried to voice his opinion. "Oh, believe me, I'd get out if I could, but I'm HURT. It's difficult enough to not move around when I don't have a hole in my stom-..."

Lance didn't get to finish as Annis darted away, yelling the name of one of the heroes Ganon had sung about. Lance stared as she disappeared from his sight. Then he slumped back to the tree, as he started laughing. "Ha...hahahaha! Oh man, Lance! Look at you! Blushing like a teenage girl!"

He stopped laughing as he sighed, taking out a stick of cinnamon bark which he placed in his mouth. The sharp taste helped him concentrate, but now, he just did it to occupy his mouth. "Annis, huh..." Lance repeated her name to himself, as he smiled about his behaviour earlier. "I don't quite know why...but I think I'm quite intrigued by you...hope we'll meet again."

Lance finished talking to himself as he looked up to the sky, seeing the clouds above. "Clouds seem peaceful today..."

Lance closed his eyes again, staying hidden against the tree trunk.

Annis stared at Castello. He was still able to speak. By the goddess, how is he still strong enough to speak...? She clasped his hand in her shaky one, the tears coming and falling faster than she would have expected them to. "A-annis... I... I don't want to d-die... I c... I'm s-sorry..."

She shook her head, her voice wavering. Tears were hitting his face now, faster and faster. "Don't speak, d-don't... you're h-hurting yourself more... y-you can't die, someone c-can heal... h-heal you..." she tried, even if every fiber of her being knew she was only talking out of her a**. There was no way to heal the damage Castello had taken. She didn't realized the Tervingi Crest had even moved until she saw the gleam of light and he had it in his hand. Annis weakly took it with her free hand, staring at the gem, chain looped around her hand twice.

"I want you to have this... I think I love you."

Annis looked back to his face. Her eyes were a little wider now than before. The tears halted briefly, hovering there in her eyelids, blurring her vision. "Finish... what we started so long... so..."

Annis' keening cry was panicked as he inhaled, then exhaled. He was supposed to inhale again. He was supposed to inhale. "Castello...! Castello!" Annis gripped his hand in both of hers, pinning the Tervingi Crest between their skin. He wasn't moving. He had to move! "Wake up...! W-Wake... up... don't l-leave..."

It was pointless... it was pointless, no one had come to help him, had they? His friends were fighting, and the Eyris citizens weren't about to rescue an enemy from death. What did they know? He could just slash at them as soon as he was stabilized and slit their throats for their generosity. Annis didn't move from Castello's body, though, still gripping tightly onto his hand with her free one as the one that held the Crest shakily put the chain around her neck. The Tervingi Crest's gem glistened for just a moment before swinging against her breastbone, no longer catching the light.

Tears started falling again. Battle? Who cared about a ******** battle... The fingers of her now-freed hand gently rested against his pale cheek, stained by his own dark blood. "I... love you too," she whispered.

Misura Tsudan

And the arrow slid into her body, slipping into just the right spot between the shoulder and the breastplate. It slid first through the lung, slowing, but the speed was just enough to puncture her heart. And Misura felt it. It was a wound that would kill her in no more than a few short minutes, she knew; less even if she took the arrow out. But wasn't that what she wanted? To finally be free? So she removed it, keeping her smile on Isadora. Vezra drooped, then clanged to the ground as Misura dropped it. "Take that weapon. . . give it to anyone who can use it. Make sure it is taken good care of..." The helmet came off, dropping next to the blade as well.

This armor. Too much. It went to the ground as well. The air felt good. So did leaving behind her instruments of war. It was the middle of a battlefield, but Misura heard nothing but silence. It was so peaceful... the woman only made it a few steps, though, before collapsing, managing to pull herself up against the remnants of a stone pillar. She couldn't get to Jyoti... such a shame...

Ledreak's weapon flew out of his hand once more, and Graver feel to the ground again, making the same impact as before. Afro man himself lunged backward and rolled, picking up his lance whilst dodging the opponent's strike, which instead hit the dirt. "Piece a dirt in yo' green hair, white boy." He teased, and flung up dirt at him, edging it with his lance.

With the black power surging through his lance, it began to smoke. The smog wasn't thick, but it acted lightweight and floated. He let go of the lance, and it slowly descended to the ground, before he struck and sent it spinning upward. Ledreak stepped back, in case Ephraim decided to attack him while in his show. He hated to be interrupted while showing off.

Ledreak's Graver seemed to keep going upward, spinning neverendingly.

Sage Domanova

The sage's breaths came ragged. He'd gained several more wounds, and in the heat of the battle he hadn't been able to get to them all before his healing staff had snapped cleanly in two.

His comrades were falling all around him. It was almost his time, too...He could feel something inside him trying to escape, trying to break free.

Domanova smiled.

"Come...I will show no mercy."

Seeking hope in an unknown land...
...within the despair all around...

He hurtled towards her. The wind intensified, slicing through her attacks.

I don't want to kill you...I don't want to hurt you...please...please forgive me, Jyoti.

His hand crackled with the energy of Thoron. She was only seconds away, seconds away from impact...

I'm...

He could see her eyes. She knew she was finished, she knew this was the end.

...so...

She was just alone. A delicate flower, alone in an unknown land, no one by her side but that General. Was this her fate? Was this how she was meant to die? It wasn't right, it just wasn't right...

...sorry.

He collided with her, and Thoron went off, rocking around the two. The air took a moment to reverberate as he held her. He'd stifled his attack...it wasn't his intention to kill her. She was in death's throes now, and a single whisper escaped from her lips.

"...Thank you." And then the beautiful eyes closed.

She wasn't dead yet. Her breathing was labored, but she was still alive. A tear fell from Loch's eye, and he picked her up. She had one final wish, and Loch would fulfill it.

"Let me go back to my love." He remembered it from their meeting before, and he would oblige.

He waded through the carnage, looking for the General. He found her; she was sitting alone, gravely injured, waiting to die...

Loch's pace hurried. He made his way to the woman and set Jyoti beside her, letting her head lean onto her shoulder. He somberly stepped back.

"It has truly been an honor to meet you ladies. In a different reality, maybe....it shouldn't have come to this. I was never your enemy, and this was never truly your battle."

He turned away from the two. "May you both rest in peace, together for all eternity."

And then he walked off, leaving them to say their goodbyes.

Shinon approached the battlefield. The stench of fear and blood was everywhere.
"What the hell did I miss, how come nobody woke me up?" Shinon muttered angrily. He saw Ephraim attacking Ledreak with his lance. Shinon nocked an arrow and let it fly at Ledreak.

Sue didn't put her bow away... but she did put away her fierceness that she had earlier. She had turned away from the battlefield now, tears pooling in her eyes as she looked away, unable to fight the emotions that had last come. Their bond was strong, and yet, she could feel them fading. "I'm... I'm so sorry that it had to end this way... brave General... Valkyrie of Light... I'm ... I'm so very sorry..."

Victoria felt that strange gaze, the one that was looming over her disappear slowly, fading... and at the same time, so many lives on their way to the other side! There was nothing she could do... nothing. They were being released from pain, this was the only way to do it. Had there been another way... she would have found it, surely.

Lifting up her Psychic, she healed yet another injured ally.... keeping up with the tides of war. They were turning in FEF's favor.

The arrow Shinon fired soaring at Ledreak came in at a high speed, but he cocked his head and bopped his 'fro. It came in, and just got caught in the hair, stopping midway in. He pulled it out, and commented, "Don't mess with the 'fro, b***h. ******** COCKASS IT STRIKES BACK DOUBLE ********." He was cocky, since nothing had touched him, just his hair.

A small, delicate flower, fluttering in the breeze...

... A petal, claimed by a gentle wind, floats away...

☼ JYOTI ☼
¤▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬¤

Dying... Jyoti was dying again. Her eyes were closed and she fought to keep alive.

A bit longer... she'd only live a bit longer.

She wanted to see Misura. She wanted it so bad...

Her eyes reopened and she was next to Misura. With her head leaned comfortably against Misura's shoulder and their hands together, a small smile appeared. It was so nice... "Mi... Misura..." Her voice was barely above a whisper now, soft, ragged, and desperate. She wasn't desperate for life, though; she was desperate for the only person who truly loved her to hear her.

Her eyes closed and her breathing began to slow as memories became clear to her, memories from so long ago... of her family, a mother, a father, and an older sister, all that she longed for their acceptance and love but never quite seemed to get. Of that day, seeing her sister, Keira, after many years, and watching her die at her hands. Of traveling alone as a mercenary until she was whisked away to become of a hero. Of the other heroes, traveling with them with the mission of beating the Dark God.

And finally... of Misura. Of her beloved Misura. Of all the times they spent together, the good and the bad. A single tear rolled down her cheek as the images flashed before her eyes. Her times with Misura were easily the greatest part of her two lives. Misura was always there, no matter what...

And that fact would never change.

"Misura... T-thank you..." A peaceful expression was on her face as life slipped away from her.

I'll... see you soon.

Ephraim frowned at his comment, a little confused since he had almost no idea what the hell he was talking about. "....This type of talk..I have no idea what on earth he is saying!" befuddling actually. But not hard to understand at all.

That was until this man started to do something weird which left the prince in another confused situation. Afro man stepped back and and he was even more confused.

"..does he want me to attack..?" Ephraim thought, questioning the man's actions. "No..he's up to something..But-" before anything else was finished in question, something flew at him. Ephraim jumped back, out of its way as a sharp rock flew a few inches in front of him. "To hell with this!" Not really caring at all if he got hit, Ephraim dashed toward Ledreak once more.

Shinon dashed left towards a tree and he let loose another volley of arrows. Of course the only thing Shinon was now aiming for was vital spots and Ledreak's afro, seemingly it was weak spot.
This guy is serious about his hair, and what the hell did he just say to me?!?!

Her Jyoti. Her love was in her arms once more. The general managed the slightest of smiles to the departing heron, then wrapped her arms around Jyoti, holding her close. "Oh, Jyoti... Oh, my love..." she whispered softly. A rough cough brought a small amount of blood to her lips; she didn't have long, either. But it was okay...

This world was gone. But this world had held nothing for them. Only pain and suffering...

It had been hard, so hard... she had never had love in her life. Her mother didn't care. Her father was never there for her. And then they were dead. She had lost everything. There was nothing left for her but revenge.

And then, Jyoti. Unexpected... it had come out of the blue. But this one girl had come to mean more to her than life itself. She would give up everything, just to be with Jyoti... that was what made her happy. Even when everything was horrible, even when the strong general couldn't take it and broke down and cried, her Jyoti had been there. No matter... no matter what... no matter how many mistakes she had made... Jyoti had forgiven her. Misura's watering eyes finally overflowed, tears spilling down her cheeks as she gazed upon her dying love.

Misura bent forward, listening to her love's final words, then pressed her lips to the other's in a soft kiss. She was gone... Jyoti was gone now, and she wouldn't hear. But Misura had to say it anyway. "Jyoti... I will always... love you... I am... coming to be with you..."

And with a sigh, her eyes slid shut, head resting against that of her one true love.
