Ian placed a hand on Angela's head and pushed her over. "This midget here." She sent a small jolt through his hand--barely stronger than a static shock but grinned. He yanked his hand back and returned it.

"Hard to say why considering how mean she is," he continued. "But she's a good person. Saved my life once."

"Taught you how to be less of a wimp. And less of a nerd," she added with a smirk.

"And I taught you to be less of a psycho."

"I was never a psycho."

"Every homeless person in New York was terrified of you," he pointed out.

She stuck out her tongue. Ian grinned and looked at Lily with a smile. "She was pretty much the first friend I had. Is that good enough?"

Angela leaned forward so she could look at Cheeva. "A bit jealous are you Fleabag? I'd share but Ian is not really a cat person."

Des snickered softly and then gave Cheeva a sidelong look. "I like cats," he told her with a grin.

Ian looked around, trying to figure out who to pick. "Uh...Cheeva?" he asked uncertainly. "Truth or dare?"

Ian glared at Cheeva. "Who is that stabbed you in the back and turned you into such a grouch?" he asked. "And the name is Ian, not "braces" so do use it and I'll do you the honor of not adopting Angel's nickname for you."

After thinking a moment, he added, "Yes, that was your question."

Cheeva sighed. "You want the complete list?" she leaned back, counting on her fingers. "There was, Rydan, Eh'lha, Yamara, Elocin, whatshername that started with A...Akinna, the Twins - Mella and Johu - oh, and my younger brother Lhoki. Trapped me in a crystal and attempted to suck the life out of me, basically. Not quite the knife in the back, Braces, but still as nasty. Hence the, er, "grouchiness"."

Lily squinted at the new arrival. "I have a friend who'd like you. She, like, talks about philosophy and stuff too and I'm sure she'd understand you. Not that, like, you're not understandable but, like, I have trouble understanding philosophy because it's all, like, riddles and stuff, right? And I'm not that good at riddles..."

Khavery flashes Lily a crooked smile, spitting out a mouthful of semi-sweet smoke as he curls his legs beneath himself, floating stagnantly in the air. "Not exactly riddles, though riddle me this, if philosophy defines us, but is a riddle, are we not riddles in the end?" Bowing from the waist up to Angela, salutes her primly. "Hello there, fey-but-not. A pleasure as always, my dear." Glancing sidelong at her associate, he quirks a brow and politely puffs a mouthful of smoke into his face. "Seelie? Yes, that's me. Mostly anyway. Odd person, I am."

Khavery smiles patiently at Lily and the other person, tilting back his raggedy ears as he tugs his tattered cloak into place around shoulders thinner than pipe cleaners. Well, perhaps not THAT thin, but pretty damn skinny.
"Well, considering you neither know me nor care to know me yet--yes, like an enigma wrapped in a riddle dipped in mystery sauce. Don't try it, the sauce can be a bit displeasing. If you insist, however, I will gladly take a dare."

"You stole that idea from me didn't you Chee?" Angela said. She looked at Ian. "There've been an awful lot dancing dares. But I had skip around and sing something about a teapot or some such thing. Not fair, I say."

Ian snickered. "You had to sing about a teapot?"

"Something like that," she said.

"It was hilarious too," Des said. "Especially when she fell on her arse."
