He forced himself out of bed, not able really to sleep at this point. He made himself get dressed and found his way downstairs to raid the fridge for a simple glass of juice. On the kitchen table was a toolbox belonging to Teagan. He knew there was no further need for it, and figured she'd need it back. Part of him wanted to avoid her, but part of him wanted to see her terribly. He fought with himself if he should pay her a visit or not...

Nat had another rough night, but at least he got some sleep. His mind was swimming with thoughts of Teagan. She had asked "does this mean anything?". Oh how terrifying of a question that was for him.
He had repeated it most of the night, mulling it around in his head, and came to the same conclusion each time. A conclusion that scared him.
When morning finally did come for him, he woke up promptly, showing for a good long while, to try to clear his head of all the conflicting ideas. He spent the day alone in Richard and Lorey's future home, simply keeping busy with small odd jobs that wouldn't even be noticed by the couple perhaps, but anything to keep his mind occupied.
He lost complete track of time, not eating anything the whole day through, not even picking up his guitar or stash once.

Teagan walked up the stairs to the front door, each step making a little clunk that warned anyone close of her presence. Alright, she thought. And she rang the doorbell. there was no calling his name, or blissfully walking right into the place. there was only a polite silence and Teagan clutching her purse in front of her like it was a dear, precious thing and not a dollar store purchase.

Nat was workingo n tighteneing up a pipe unde one of the bathroom sinks. He was so preoccupied, the doorbell scared him bejeebies out of him. SO much he jumped a mile, hitting his head on the bottom of the pipes. He cussed loud and angrily as he pulled himself out fomr the cabinet, rubbing his head vigorously as he made hsio way downstairs.
He had been getting interruptions all day from legal men who wanted some final questions concerning Lorey and Richard's moving there. He had explained to them more than once, that the couple would be on the planet relatively soon and to please leave him alone. But they didn't seem to be getting the picture. He opened the door, seemingly grumpy. "Ah- For the thousandth time, They're NOT HO-" He stopped immediately when he saw it was Teagan.
She was the image of beauty, standing right there before him. He immediately turned red, rubbing his head more out of embarrassment now than pain. "Oh, Teagan, what a...pleasant, surprise... you look lovely, though what's the occasion?" He asked a bit flustered.

Her dress ruffled a bit in the breeze as she took a few steps back. "Now, don't take that tone with me," she said in her best miffed voice. "I'm here strictly for business. You and I had a deal because I can't pay you... so I was wondering if you had any intentions of fulfilling your half of the bargain." Teagan turned her head to the side to look at his reddened face. "You... do know I remember that, even though I was downright feverish, right?"

"The deal or..." He shook his head. "Oh the deal yes yes I remember. The Deal. Um..." He looked down at himself, wearing old, messy clothes and furrowed his brow. "Um, I'd be more than willing, if I could just get a moment to um... change?" the red on his cheeks seemed permanent. "um...come in, I'll jstu be a moment..." He held the door open a bit more for her, trying hard to keep his eyes off her beautiful form, but failing miserably.

Teagan gladly walked inside, and suddenly felt a bit... out of place. She never dressed that nice for anything, not even for herself. And now that she was, she felt almost as if Nat didn't really want to go anywhere. She nearly felt like he didn't even want to see her. Then why was he blushing?
"Sorry if this was a bad time..." she said. Teagan took a seat on the couch and crossed her legs.

Nat smoothed his hair back a bit, feeling rather undeserving to even be in her presence so ragged. "Um n-no, not a bad time, I just wasn't expecting you was all. Just give me five minutes gorgeous, and I'll be down." He managed to give her one of his charming smiles and winks before pulling his short off quickly, revealing his toned but smaller frame, as he ran up the stairs. Nat ripped through his clothes, finally putting together the nicest thing he had with him, which still wasn't saying much. It was a rather simple outfit but at least it was a bit nicer than all his other clothes, and made him feel a little less grungy around her. He pulled the sleeves up just a bit, though still wasn't really wild with the look. He hoped it'd be ok though. He quickly parted his hair in a stylish yet sophisticated way that made him look more grown up, or so he thought. When he was done, he took off down to meet her again, feeling a bit awkward and not well dressed. "Sorry that took so long..." He apologized, tugging at his shirt a bit uncomfortably. It was a bit too... tight, for him, but he would manage.

"It's alright. You look nice and proper." Teagan did have to laugh, though, at how uncomfortable he looked as well. But, he'd be thankful to know she hadn't thought this through. "I just... don't know where we're going yet." The confession made her laugh brightly. "Honestly, I just wanted to come drag you off somewhere. Maybe... figure out what happened last night."

Ah, so that's what this was about. Nat looked down, swallowing slightly as he regained his statute. "Alright then, well we had better be heading out! Its getting a bit late and I'd like to find plans somewhere before its dark you know?" He stood up straight as he could, holding a welcoming hand out to her. "And I think I have just the mode of transportation for such a 'special occasion' as it were..." He smirked, and pulled her to her feet, pulling her to the back yard.
Once there, he let her go long enough to run to the shed. He wheeled something out, covered with a tarp. "You're carriage awaits M'lady..." He bowed deeply before ripping the tarp off with flair, revealing a very retro looking, but still in good shape, bicycle. He gave her a wink as he hopped on and came her way, tapping the handlebars for her to take a seat. It was a cute gesture, one that made him think back to his early teen years, when he used to ride girls around the city on his bike's handlebars as well.

Teagan looked at the bike and shook her head, laughing nervously. "Nat, I've never... You won't tip right over?" But he looked so confident on his bike that she couldn't help but laugh once more. It was her relenting to her inner fear that something would go terribly wrong. But, she just had to trust that it wouldn't.
With a great deal of skirt bunching and scared cries every time she tilted one way or the other, Teagan was on the handlebars. "Alright, I'm on... I guess we ride into town now and find something to do!"

----------------
The ride to Richard and Lorey new home was utterly magical to Raquel. She found herself gripping Damian's leg excitedly the whole time. On its own, Druis was very new to her. Not at all wild and untamed like Altru, but not so civilized it was crowded with cities like Veratia. It was heaven in her eyes. It was even more exciting for she knew that eventually, she'd settle down here with Damian.
Richard was just glad to finally be bringing his bride to be home officially. All the paper work was done, all the repairs and details taken care of on the homefornt. All that they needed to do now was focus on the wedding.
Nat meanwhile, heard the approaching vehicle, came out to greet them. He had forced himself to keep busy and not go and see Teagan, though he secretly jumped every time he heard a noise, hoping it was her stopping by. But she hadn't came. And he hadn't gone after her. So things must have just been understood between them. ...But it didn't mean he still wasn't a little excited to see her again, knowing she had gone to meet Richard and his friends.
"Hey there! Richard!" He called out waving as he threw a greasy rag over his shoulder from working out back. Richard stopped and hopped out of the vehicle to come greet him. "Nat! I wanted to introduce to you my fiance and our dear friends Damian Centurion and-" "R-R-Roxy?" Nat sputtered as Raquel got out ofthe car with Damian, though froze when she saw Nat.
"N-natty?" Her face was mortified. Richard was utterly baffled as he looked at his two companions back and forth, both seeming white as sheets.
"Woah- Wait, Nat....THIS is 'Roxxy'? The girl you'd been talking about?" He seemed to laugh a bit before shaking his head. "No no no...that cant be! You said she was engag-" Richard cut himself off, looking over to Damian and Raquel, cocking an eyebrow as Raquel felt her body get extremely hot then cold all over as she took Damian's hand, unable to speak really.

Damian locked eyes with Nat as soon as they could look away from Raquel. So, he thought. Nat had run away from Veratia to come here, and in a remarkable twist of fate, he had found Richard. Or, he thought bitterly, had he followed them to Veratia in the hopes o spoiling this moment?
There was another question, though, that needed answering. "We didn't want to take away from your wedding," he said. "We were going to tell you after you were all settled in..."
Lorey looked from Raquel to Damian, to Nat and finally to Teagan, who looked just as pale and mortified as the rest of them, though far more antsy. She had been hiding behind the car, spinning in circles and raising silent curses at the sky between her fingers hiding her face. This was so awkward.

It took Richard a moment to take it all in as his eyes seemed to scan the ground, wheels turning. Finally though, he broke the terribly awkward silence with a laugh. A great hearty laugh as he shook his head, slapping Nat on the back. "My God! What are the odds of THAT!?" He laughed again shaking his head as Nat too began laughing nervously, rubbing his head, and even Raquel let out a shaking chuckle as she tried not to lose her cool.
"Ah well, Congratulations then mate!" He released Nats shoulders, stepping forward a bit to shake Damian's hand vigorously, though there was still a bit of confused laughter in his eyes. "It seems this trip is already full of surprises! Awkward one at that!" He shook his head, coming over to drape his arm around Lorey.
Nat furrowed his brow, rubbing the back of his neck a bit, turning slightly. "Well I'm almost done with this one last job...I'll be in the back while you show everyone around aye?" He offered his best smile, though his eyes saddened when they rested on Raquel's who was heartbroken to see such a look. But there wasn't much she could do right then, as she couldn't find her voice.

"Thank you..." Damian balanced himself on his cane as he was practically shaken all over just from Richard's congratulations. He couldn't look at Nat. There was just too much pain coming from Raquel to hold him in a good light.
Teagan popped out from behind the car and looked at Nat. She seemed so, so sorry to have any of this happen. If she could have warned him, she would have, but there was nothing she could do.
Lorey saw the looks being exchanged. With a big squeeze to Richard, she broke away, and started heading towards the house. "Come on! Let's all eat and settle in after that long haul. Come see our home!" Already it looked so beautiful on the outside, all trimmed and proper. Just from the way she beamed, it was obvious she was pleased.
