I'm tempted to make a discussion topic out of this but I fear anything I say about this will go against the spirit of this guild. Anyway I just wanted to share this.

I saw this quote on facebook and it just made me go wow.

‎"I am certain that it would be better for Christians to stand in solidarity with compassionate atheists and agnostics, firmly resolved against injustice and cruelty, than to sing “Amazing Grace” with the heroic masses who cannot tell the difference between the cross and the flag." - Charles Marsh in "Wayward Christian Soldiers"

Dawkins has issues... reall issues, lol. I respect a lot of his work and studies. But I personally think he's become to engrossed in his own perspective and his own ego. He's not interested in finding truth. He's interested in selling his truth. He's used a keen sense of rhetoric for years, but more and more he's taken it to such extensive liberty, that he's crossed a great many lines with a great many people. As a result, he's losing a lot of the respect he once commanded. It's easy to be drawn in by some of his works, and I find his works quite informative and thought provoking. But in his current state, he's little more than an ego-centric byproduct of his own niggardly esteem.

I'm still alive ya'll. I put in an application to work at a lube shop. Well they don't have any openings now but I've been assured that I will be on top of the list. The manager interviewed me the same day I submitted the application and was very impressed. He said "He needed someone here that has some math skills." I may be finally getting out of the hotel industry and hopefully better pay.

I saw trailer for it and was all like- stare 'ummmm, no.'

But then, it was like one of those things that just seared into my mind, and now, as i have thought more about it, I bet it will be funny as all get out, so I kinda wanna see it, but I will wait til I can rent it.

... And I do hope that the job thing works out for you... I still haven't found one yet, but I do think I have found a baby sitter. rolleyes

I was actually thinking the same thing too but then my fiancee was going on about how'd she'd love to see it. As I thought more about about it, it kinda grew on me.

Well I wish you luck on your job search too. While I look forward to learning new skills, I just hope it pays better than minimum wage. I know I'm getting underpaid at my job now. I should be making at least 1.5x what I'm making now but no hotel in the area will pay that much. On the upside, Sleep Inn does treat me well though I'm technically "replaceable" rolleyes

News is supposed to be facts about general issues that concern the public...

Gossip is hearsay sometimes fact, sometimes fiction about someone or a group of someones that really isn't anyone's business anyway....

Or at least that is my interpretation. rolleyes
