Sergeant Kio Liengod
ODST Medic
Moving to Warthog

Kio watched as the Warthog continued past in the distance. He was obviously picking up someone else as well. He began jogging after the vehicle, keeping his M7 close. As he ran, he noticed a few damaged but active Sentinels on the ground, and smashed them with his boots. More of them gone, the better. It was only a few minutes before he noticed the Warthog. He stopped for a moment, gathering his breathe. He saw the other Sergeant climb onto the turret, so he ran over to the passenger seat.
"Sergeant Liengod, ODST Medic, at your service." He told them, then climbed in. His face was unseen beneath the black visor, but it was contorted in anger.
"For the Prayer." He said, just loud enough for them to hear as he reloaded his submachine gun.

Lance Corporal Shane Recarta
Crashed Escape Pod
Heading Towards the Structure

Shane had been waiting ten minutes but never received a reply.
He angrily kicked the base of the pod and swore. His helmet's com system must have been damaged in the crash.
He's was just about to fix it when he spotted three sentinels on the horizon headed his way.
"Oh, hell no!" He yelled as he set out on a dead sprint for the large forerunner building in the distance where he saw the main portion of the U.N.S.C forces with the sentinels not far behind.

Master Gunnery Sargent
Donovan Greensborough
Status: Approaching Alpha base

Don waited for a reply, and swore as he realized he could hear, but couldn't transmit anything. He cursed a few more times as he spotted someone running toward the base, followed by three sentinels. The timeless sound of a shotgun being charged snapped out across the snow as he turned and started toward the structure in a path that would intercept the fleeing figure.

Snow and ice crunched under his boots as he moved, and he felt another wave of nausea wash over him. With a grunt he managed to suppress it, and pressed on. Minutes ticked by as he doggedly pushed his body far past his limit. He looked at the figure, noticed how close it was, and started waving. He didn't dare use his shotgun, but he instead pulled his pistol, took aim, and squeezed off a few rounds at the sentinels.

Gunnery Sergeant Thomas "Sparks" Cain
Northern Polar Region, Harvest
Speeding Off

Tom hit the gas hard as the ODST sat. Trails of snow and ice filled the air behind the vehicle as it sped into the distance with the rest of the UNSC vehicles.

Sentinels flew randomly in the distance. Tom could see two marines running through the frozen plains.

"We're gonna pick those boys up! They can find somewhere on this thing to sit, I'm sure!" Tom yelled as he turned through the landscape.

He drove up alongside the soldiers and came to an abrupt stop.

"I don't know where you can sit on this thing, but find somewhere quick!"
He yelled to the two marines. "Vik, light those bots up!"

Sergeant Scarlet R. Whitmen
Marine Combat Medic
Leaving Alpha Base

Scarlet quickly switched from the passenger seat to the driver's seat "We better catch up with the rest of em.." the engine roared as the Corporal and Scarlet drove away from Alpha Base. "Cain! This is Sergeant Whitmen! Sir, I am behind and I noticed you are over loaded... We have room if need sir!" Scarlet continued to drive in the same direction as Gunnery Sergeant Cain.

Sergeant Kio Liengod
ODST Medic
Firing

Kio began releasing rounds at the Sentinels, enjoying the sounds of the rounds hitting their metallic armor. Of course, his hand held weaponry was nothing compared the what was on the back of this vehicle. Unless...

"Is that an M41?" Kio asked, pointing to the rocket launcher strapped the back of his seat. He grabbed it and frowned. Only two shots. He'd better save it for now.

Gunnery Sergeant Thomas "Sparks" Cain
Northern Polar Region, Harvest
Getting Everybody Situated

"Recarta! Go jump in Sergeant Whitmen's Hog!" Tom yelled through the hail of bullets. "You might be able to find somewhere to sit between the seats and the turret, sir!" He then yelled to MGS Greensborough. Tom turned to his radio. "Sergeant Whitmen, we have one for you!"

Commander Jamison Holly
UNSC Shades of Grey
Standing on the Bridge of the Shades of Grey

In high orbit above the battle raging below, the SOG floated on low power. Her matte-black hull was camouflaged with active camouflage, making her invisible to the naked eye and to most sensors. On the bridge, Holly stood with his hands clasped behind his back, a light frown on his lips as one of the lieutenants on the bridge turned to him and stated in a hurried voice, "Sir, there have been no signs of a breakup among the Forerunner objects, and they continue to bombard our targets! We cannot stay hidden like this! We have to fight, or more men and women will die!"

"Patience," Holly replied, not turning his gaze away from the scene before him. "You're on board a Prowler, kid. These things aren't known for their fighting prowess. I know how hard it is to be unable to fight with those in combat, but if we were to charge into battle, we would sacrifice ourselves needlessly. The best thing that we can do for now is remain hidden and gather intelligence for those in combat. In battle, intelligence is the difference between life and death. Return to your post."

The lieutenant seemed taken aback, but Holly was already acting like the woman didn't exist. Chiron flickered beside him and said in a bland voice, "Brilliant, way to berate your own men. I'll never understand you humans, and you least of all, Holly."

"Nor do I ask you to," Holly replied calmly, a frown creasing his features. "This doesn't make sense. To the Monitors and Sentinels, humans - or Reclaimers as they call us - are nearly sacred. From what I can gather from my experiences with these machines, we're supposed to be some sort of resurrectors of the Forerunners. To attack us is counter-productive."

"Then what do you suggest?" Chiron asked in a bored voice.

Holly paused, biting his lower lip. "After Commander Hammer finishes his mission on the surface, as him to investigate why the Sentinels would suddenly attack us. If we can discover the underlying cause, we might be able to figure a way to stop the attacks prematurely. There has to be an easier way than what Hammer is attempting. In fact, see if he can capture one without damaging it too much. In the meantime, remain cloaked so that we don't disturb those Sentinels."

"Understood, Commander," Chiron said, before winking out to deliver the message to Hammer.

Sergeant Scarlet R. Whitmen
Marine Combat Medic
Organizing the forces

"Copy that Gunny, slow down! We got you back end covered!"
she smiled as she raced through the white plains of Harvest. The Warthog slowed as it came to the side of Cain's hog "Hello boys, who needs a lift?" she winked and laughed again.

Lietenant Josh Kartzmark
Naval Pilot
UNSC Oddysey

Josh looked at the others whom occupied the bridge of the ship. He continued listening to their plans, aware of the fact that this was NOT where he normally worked, and to let them do their jobs. Then, fire the MAC Cannon was brought up.
What the ********> "MAC the structure? Shouldn't we attack the Sentinels?" Josh paused, aware he might have just made a big mistake. "My apologies, sir. I did not mean to interrupt. But the Sentinels ARE what brought down the Armored Prayer, wouldn't it be the better idea to begin thinning out their numbers, instead of destroying an ancient artifact that could be helpful to us?"
He was a pilot. He knew that numbers mean a lot when it came to assaults, and if he didn't know better, these machines were obviously beginning an assault.

(LTJG) Rosh Penn
Oydessy Navigator
UNSC Oydessy

Rosh stood by watching the navigatonal charts and heard a Lt. speak up on the plan. Aw man the commanders going to rip him a new one. Rosh thought to himself, still gazing at the charts. "Change bearing 0-2-5-A. Degree 15." Rosh called out to the other Navigators. One of them nodded and the ship slowly turned to keep its orbit over the planet but still stay over the battle field.

Lance Corporal Shane Recarta
Crashed Escape Pod
Boarding Warthog

Shane saluted with a sigh of relief.
Between gasps for air he replied,"Thanks for the lift Sergeant Whitmen. I thought I was a goner."
He jumped into the pasenger seat.
"Mam, do you have a spare rifle or at least some SMG clips I can borrow? I lost all mine during the crash."
He yelled over the rumbling of the vehicle.

Captain Andrew Poole
>UNSC Odyssey
>> Wondering why there's a pilot in the bridge

He shrugged off the fact that the Admiral hadn't liked his idea. Sure, it wasn't the best thought to ever come to his mind, but jeez. All he wanted to do was see something blow up. What a mature Captain he was. But who cares? He could run his ship however the hell he wanted, and make a bad decision or two, couldn't he? Andrew's mind wandered for a few seconds longer, before something forced his train of thought to be broken. A voice he didn't recognize.

Curious, he rose from his chair, raised an eyebrow, and spotted the unknown soldier. A Pelican pilot?

"Felcia, why the hell's there a pilot on my bridge?"
"I don't know, sir. Maybe he got bored?"

Well, that was rare. An AI not knowing something. But the man had a point.

"If that artifact was any use to us, wouldn't you think we would have gotten the information it's storing already?" He asked, but was interrupted by Felcia.
"Hammer and Angel are on the ground, sir. I'm sure she has the information from the structure."
"See? Angel has taken care of things already. I still say the artifact's useless to us now." Throwing his arms into the air dramatically, he flopped back into his chair. "Well fine, I guess we can do things your way, uh..."
"Lieutenant Kartzmark."
"Lieu-ten-ant Kartzmark." Unnecessary emphasis was placed on the man's rank, and right about now, Poole looked just short of crazy. But it appeared as though he had snapped himself out of it quickly. He placed his right elbow on his chairs armrest and rested his chin in his palm. "Felcia, get Archers A through F ready. Someone set a target on the nearest of these Sentinels and fire whenever the hell you want."

LTJG. Rosh Penn
UNSC Odyssey Navigator
UNSC Odyssey

Rosh snickered as the Captain was acting...rather strange. Well..stranger than normal.

"Sir," Rosh called out, "If I could say. The artifact would in fact be useless to us if an AI has already plugged into their network. If it were me I would contact Hammer if he and Angel have already gotten the information from it. If so, I say we blow it up. If not...well we can still blow it up." Rosh suggested with a small smile. "But hey, I'm just the Navigator." Rosh finished before turning back to the navigation screen.

Master Gunnery Sargent
Donovan Greensborough
Status:Boarding Warthog Near Alpha Base

"Thanks for the pickup!" Don shouted over the gunfire. He slid himself between the seats just slightly, giving him a good view above and to the sides of the gunner where the mount wouldn't let him reach. He tapped Cain twice on the shoulder to tell him to go, and pulled his M90 around to the drivers side, and fired two shells in rapid succession. The sentinel that had been floating there was riddled with buckshot holes, and fell to the ground with a crash and small explosion. "If we're all in, gun it!" he shouted again.
