Ninian shook her head as much to clear it as to say no. She had heard his voice; Roy had appeared.

"Really, I'm alright," she tried to explain. The headache wasn't quite as bad now. Mostly her sudden wooziness was due to her recently sleeplessness. Nothing to be too worried about. But maybe. . . .

She forced herself to look up and immediately regretted it. Seeing that face. . . .

"Perhaps I stood sit down," she murmured.

"What? No. Err, well, yes. I mean, kind of." Lance replied to Blossom ((3 pages back or so)). "It's kind of complicated. My memory is there, it's just that everything is in a blur. Or like, if you've spun around for a minute, and then try to make out the textures of everything. Rather than saying I've lost my memory, it's like it's incomplete..."

Lance would've gone on talking about the rest of his strange mind, but Aidan cut in and started making out with Lance's conversation partner. He rolled his eyes at the couple. "Oh, for the Goddess, would you mind not doing it in my face? I'm jealous enough as it is."

Roy glanced over at the nomad girl that had spoken to him. It was Sue-chan. They had travelled together in the past. He shook his head.

"Unfortunately, no...there's too many people around. It might be best if she found some shade...she is an ice dragon after all." he said, looking back towards his mother.

He then paused when someone called out to him. Turning around, he saw a great man approaching him, speaking of an Axe and strength. He thought for a moment, then determined that this person was Durbans, one of the heroes of old. Although he personally never used the lightning axe, his group did happen to find it after Hector and his father had used it to fight Nergal. He nodded.

"I wasn't the one that personally used your Axe, but it did help my group win the war." he responded to Durbans.

He turned his attention back to his mother. She was looking a bit pale and woozy, and when she glanced up, she seemed...uneasy.

"Mother...you need to rest. Let's find you some shade under a tree so you can sit down." he said softly.

Mutely, she nodded, not trusting herself to speak. There was so much she wanted to say--so much she couldn't say--but . . . this wasn't the time for that. Here she was preventing them from enjoying themselves, all because she had a slight headache.

Stupid. Foolish.

But who was the more foolish, Ice Dragon or General and Nomad?

"Please," she began, speaking each word carefully, "I can find a place to sit. I do not wish to ruin this occasion for anyone over something so trivial. I'll be fine, honest."

Gingerly she started walking away. If her steps wobbled a bit, she did not notice. If her eyes would not meet anyone else's, she didn't stop to think why.

"What the? That feeling...no unless someone else is fromt here, then..." Ziaram looked back towards the manor, then said, "Can it be? The one who was able to kill so many?"

Leon's axe was well on it's way to at least forcing Arashe to move. He stopped all of the sudden though, when the sensation he felt of a terrible omen got stronger. Much stronger. The knight felt it echo from deep within, much like when he'd realized that Katherine, a faithful member of the Guard, alongside many others fell to the evil ones during springtime never to rise again.

He felt the same tiny hands of fate, not literal hands but the awful aura held him in place. It held him so still, his axe was able to stop a perfect 6 inches from its target: Arashe's bow. "What's wrong with me? I can't see anything happen, so why do I feel it? Why am I so scared?!"

Angrily, he drew away, and tightened his grip on the poleaxe. "I discovered you." he said out loud. "I won't be holding back my strength next time. Come on. Let's get this overwith. No more hiding."

Sue was confident that Ninian could take care of herself. She was an ice dragon, far older and wiser than that Trooper ever could be. Sue still remembered something though... that whenever Ninian felt ill, bad things came. She kept her eyes sharp and wits about her. "Please... not again. Not during our festivities once more... not again..."

Ed laughed as Ganon seized her by the neck and delivered a fierce noogie. She clutched at his arm, trying to wriggle out.

"Aaaah, you jerk!" she exclaimed as she felt his knuckles burn into her scalp. Then she smacked at his arm, looking up excitely as she continued, "Oh man, ya! This is Lady Isadora, great paladin, she is!"

As Ed slipped out of his grasp, she noticed Ziaram approach. Her expression went from exuberant to confused. "Ehh, yeah? Lots of us know about the hero Shento. What of him?"

A silence seemed to pervade the seconds that parted her statement from any sort of reply. Everything seemed to mute or something like it. Unease stole upon some of the people, particularly those around her, and it quickly dawned upon Ed as well. The runes etched into her body felt as though they tingled. Alerted by this sensation, Ed tilted her head back to view the skies.

Knew it, ah did! Ain't a catastrophe willin' ta pass up the Litha month, part of her angrily thought.

Amelia watched breathlessly as Leon and Arashe's battle continued. The ominous feeling from before nagged at the back of her thoughts, but she brushed it aside. Nothing was wrong. You're just worried that Leon's going to get beaten in front of the commander. Stop getting so nervous about a small thing like this!

"Go, Leon! You can take him!" Amelia shouted, pumping a fist in the air. Embarrassing, her? Never.

Blossom pulled away from Aidan as Lance burst out indignantly, rubbing a hand at the side of her neck. "S-Sorry," she stammered, though the spark in her eyes clearly said she wasn't. She waited a moment for the red to die away, then looked back to the golden-eyed man.

"Like everything's blurred... weird. I hope you can piece things together better soon," Blossom told him. Sometimes, the worst thing that could happen to a person was losing who they had been.

Arashe Nyilas

PostPosted: Wed Jun 03, 2009 4:18 pm

Arashe's stomach turned as a slight chill ran through him, as if he'd seen someone die before his eyes. But, it was quickly disregarded as nervousness, and Arashe refocused on the battle at hand, the opponent preparing his axe again.

While Leon's axe was returning to where it started on the man's person, Arashe rushed him, anticipating the axe to come hurtling straight down, something he could dodge with as close as it was to him already. And once the axe missed, Arashe would probably get in at least one free hit.

Looking back, he said, "Shento came from the same lands I come from. I just didn't expect that more people would know is all." What is this feeling? and where is it coming from? Looking back at the manor.

Even if she said she was fine and didn't want to ruin the festivities, Roy still didn't want to leave Ninian alone. Not when she wobbled around like that.

He hurried after her.

When he caught up, he looked at her. She would probably avoid his eyes, but he didn't mind. He would be the one to talk.

"Mother...it's been a long time since I've last seen you. I can't enjoy the festival, not without you. We haven't had quality Mother-Son time in so long, and I was hoping we could catch up here during the festivities." he started. He then paused. "Not to mention...I've got this weird feeling...I just can't shake it off...something's going to happen soon, isn't it? If something does happen, I want to be by your side to protect you...in Father's place." he said softly to her.

((Ehe...am I the only one that thinks that kinda came out as a confession? sweatdrop ))

He pondered a moment "They should, it is that time of season" he wasn't sure if he should add on to what restaurants had or what they didn't. Just when he mentioned the word 'dessert', Amara seemed to have gone on the hyper mood all of a sudden. Not that he minded an energetic child..but the prince was sure that Alihi didn't want to take home a sugar charged daughter. "If not, I'm sure we can find a stand that sells them."

Raven Castello

The Crestbearer blinked thoughtfully as the shrine chamber faded to black, and then he was thrust into bright sunlight, twenty feet above the middle of Main street in Eyris. Flustered and feeling the pull of gravity, Castello spread his wings suddenly to catch the air and slowly flapped them, staring curiously down at the crowd below.

"Hm. Well," he murmured softly to himself, "That's... different." He shifted in the air-- aha, there it was. Five hundred years and he could still feel the twitch of every individual feather, each little change in the wind. He turned, leaning forward, and swept low over the crowd, calling the names of his friends. "Kyros! Hey, Ledreak! Mom, you here, or this just me, now?"

Something familiar about that raven. Like you'd seen him before somewhere. Somewhere in town...

Amelia paused for a fraction of a second, over by the arena. What was that just now? Another strange wind... She turned her head and looked around, trying to find something out of place. There were flying laguz in Learania that didn't go by the names Tibarn or Janaff, so the few flying denizens she spotted didn't seem out of place, but... My nerves won't stop acting up.

She paused, hearing a man near her shout at Arashe to 'gun it' or something, then shook it off. "You need to relax," she murmured, the tension easing out of her shoulders. Then her stomach growled, and her focus shifted. "More food first, then!" she decided, relaxed again.

Amelia glanced to the arena, wondering if Leon would really notice she departed. Eh... no. Too busy fighting. She looked to the other Watch members, then politely stepped away before trying to find a nearby food stand, her armor clinking inaudibly in the noise of the crowd, spear used as a walking stick. The smell of meat was everywhere, but it was hard to pinpoint any one cart.

Dread Reaver Kyros

PostPosted: Wed Jun 03, 2009 4:57 pm

Kyros glared about as his comrades shook themselves from their prisons, an unstoppable hunger sweeping over him. Dullahan already in hand, his thoughts stopped as a delicate hand placed itself on his shoulder. The hand's owner crept up behind his ear, her sultry voice echoing into his ears.

"You'll scare the children."

A wave of calm washed over the behemoth's body, his manic eyes closing, his ragged breathing receding. Dullahan was already back on his back before the woman pulled away, his eyes opening to show two gray eyes, staring almost blankly ahead. A voice rung through his head, a nearly spiritual tone to it.

"Ah... the Ancient Heroes. I thought you might enjoy some time out in the sun, all of you. I hear, that there is a festival in Eyris right now. Perhaps you would like to attend."

Before a response could be uttered, magical symbols appeared beneath the man's feet, instantly transporting him to the middle of a festival. Cheers and shouts echoed around him, the laughter of children and smell of food flooding his senses, until...

"Kyros! Hey, Ledreak! Mom, you here, or is this just me, now?"

Kyros had heard one of the kids, Castello, calling for him. Or, anyone, really, but he was right nearby. He rose a hand into the air, waving it around as he called for the Raven.

"Castello! Over here!"

Really, they blended in with any other group of people, shouts across the town echoing almost constantly. The occasional laguz flying around, though, not so common, even in Eyris. Kyros resisted the hunger pangs for long enough to at least get the Raven's attention. The man clutched his stomach as it growled, hoping the boy would at least try to hurry over.
