 'Oh, same here,' she agreed, absentmindedly rubbing the bridge of her nose, accidentally wiping off some of the concealer on her scar. Not noticing, she climbed under the covers, and carefully slipped out of her dress, putting it safely away.

Taking a moment to stretch her wings back out again, Asphyxia rolled over to one side, and too was soon fast asleep.

*MK awoke and nearly rolled out of bed when he felt a large migraine, rolling back the other way instead and- ending up beside Asphyxia. He rubbed his eyes and looked around, and their beds had ended up side by side somehow. Before he had a moment to think about it, or apologize for rolling into her, the knowledge of the Akumoni race that he had absorbed from Kaius struck him all at once. The light of Origin glowed through his eyes, and the history of their people flashed before him*

 Still buried under the covers, Asphyxia stirred slightly. She let out a tiny groan, and held a hand to her forehead.

'Wha...' Asphyxia sat up, shook her head, winced and immediately regretted it. 'Jesus Christ.' She shuffled over to MK and lightly grabbed his shoulder. 'MK?'
