"I saw..." She called back to him, "It'll be a little longer on the rice, but there are enough vegetables so you can all come in and start filling your plates."
Kartane nodded and held the door for the two to enter, "... After you."

Sorrow smiled; "I'm seriously liking the new you. I bet you were a real charmer in your day, and can see where Kaos gets some of his manners."
Vermillion chuckled as he entered the kitchen; "Well it smells great Anabel, the smell alone makes my stomach growl." Vermillion sat down, and loaded a few scoops of vegetables on his plate before passing the serving dish on.

Anabel brought the dish of rice over and tripped a bit on a chair, but got the dish to the table and sat down, "... Sorry..." she whispered trying to hide her blushing face, "Well, Everything's ready now... There's water, some wine, and milk If you're thirsty."
Kartane was the last one in and smiled, "Thank you for preparing such a lovely meal, and Vaine insists on me tasting your wine, He says it's divine." Kartane poured himself a glass and took small portions of both rice and vegetables.

Vermillion looked at Anabel; "It tells a good story, and unlike my stuff I can enjoy two glasses before I must stop."
Sorrow loaded up on some rice and mixed the vegetables in with it. "The food is delicious Anabel."

Anabel blushed, "Thank you... I hope everything is alright... Is there anything else you'd want?" she asked as she stood up from her chair.

Sorrow smiled shaking her head no since she was in the midst of chewing. Vermillion reached over and touched her arm. "Please Anabel, you've been standing for almost an hour, sit with us for a little while and take a break, you do so much..."

Anabel sat back down and looked at her empty plate, "I'm sorry... I just want to make it the best for you all..."
Kartane smiled and sipped a bit more wine before he spoke, "Anabel. Your meal is the first decent meal i've had in nearly forty years. I can safely say that it reminds me of my wife's cooking, and she was an amazing cook."

Sorrow spoke up; "You see, compliments all around, but you should eat as well. Its delicious, and you worked really hard to make it so enjoy it a little."
Vermillion brought his hand back to his lap to continue eating.

Anabel nodded and scooped herself a little dish, and some water. She finished quickly and stood from the table, "Excuse me..." She whispered as she bowed slightly and rushed her dishes over to the sink. She then slipped into her shoes, and grabbed her metal bucket for dishwater.

Vermillion shook his head but Sorrow was the next to get up and carry her dishes over to the sink placing them with Anabel's. "I ate too much, I need to walk for a bit before I start flying or I'll cramp up halfway there." Sorrow half bowed to them both; "I'll be a day or so, but if I run into problems I'll send word." Sorrow left out the back door and stopped at the well; "Thank you for having me over Anabel, and take care." Sorrow half bowed and continued onto the way to the gate.

Anabel nodded and smiled, "You're welcome... Thank you for stopping by." she filled the metal bucket and heaved it to the door.
Kartane leaned into the back of the chair and sighed, "I hope everything goes well for Sorrow... I'm sure Kaosti will be returning to Kaos's home soon, so things shouldn't get too rough."

"Sometimes I wonder if that woman will ever fall in love, she holds such a negative view on it, make me wonder what kind of person hurt her." Vermillion stood up and opened the door for Anabel hearing the squeak of the handle on the metal sides of the bucket.

"Oh, Thank you Vermillion." She huffed as she hauled the bucket into the Kitchen and struggled to lift it.
Kartane stood from his seat, flash stepped to Anabel's side and lifted the bucket with one hand onto the top of the stove, "Don't strain yourself, dear. That could have you on bed rest for two days... just to heal your muscles... Rest... I insist on doing the dishes... since you made such a fine meal."
Anabel blushed and backed up, "Oh, Wow... You moved rather quickly.... Ummm, I-I should..."
"Shh..." Kartane hushed as he guided her to a chair, "You need rest... I can feel the aching in your body..." he refilled her glass of water and sat back in his chair.
Anabel blushed and began to take small sips of her water as she looked around the room.

Vermillion nodded closing the door before returning to sit down; "It is hard to sit when so much is undone, but if you can stand to have you kitchen down for a few days. I'll dig a cistern and place a hand pump near your sink, and I can cover the costs of your kitchen being down."

Anabel looked at Vermillion and smiled, "that would be lovely, but I wouldn't want you to pay for something like that. If-If you give me 'til the end of the harvesting season... I might be able to get it myself."
Kartane rolled up his sleeves and moved the dishes to his liking while he waited for the water to warm.
