Erevek shot through the air, he actually heard the dull thunk which was Auron's blade connecting with Drakian's tail. Vek baely had time to puzzle over it before his brother shot up from the forest to hover in front of the Chimera-Saiyan. Vek blinked once, he wasn't particularly surprised, but he thought the move rather foolish, not that Drakian was capable of RATIONAL thought at present. Erevek's face split into a cold sneer, His brother, though of both the same parents as Erevek, was not partially Saiyan, nor did his capabilities compare with the Goddess altered youth. With a shout of challenge Vek charged foreward, slamming into his kin with all his considerable strength, knocking the beast out of his path as he blasted past. He then looped back around and struck at the creature with one fist, ensuring that the beast was paying attention only to him. Then taunting, teasing and battering the Chimeric Thunderbird he led the creature on a merry chase, drawing him well away from the others, completely oblivious to the danger currently facing those he left behind.

Auron casually stepped between the Beast of Fury and her 'prey' holding his sword horizontally next to his shoulder so the point was directly towards her muzzle. "I'm not sure what kind of beastie you think you are, but I'll have you know I helped to defeate the mother of all monsters, and you don't scare me at all. I would suggest you back off and find entertainment elsewhere, we aren't easy pickings here." His calm voice only made his threat and cold gaze that much more intimidating, to most people anyways.

Firalina hesitated a moment and glanced back and forth between the stern Kaijin girl, her ki-force aura swirling at the ready, and the rugged swordsman's massive blade. And then she grinned. "Two on one? That's hardly fair." She pured. "For you gys" She finished with a snarl, ducking below Auron's guard and leaping for his throat as her claws slashed at his abdomen in hopes of spilling the mortal's entrails, at the very least savaging his coat.

OOC: If it weren't for Auron's coat, he would probably be dead. No offense or Godmoding, but Auron's out of his league. Andrea might be able to keep pace with Firi for a while but Firi would kill her in time.

"Stand back." Andrea ordered Violet, shoving the girl away from the melee, a bit harsher than she meant to, probably knocking the wind out of the more fragile girl and then leapt towards the other two combatants.

Drakian, but of course, gave chase. Not only because he had targeted on he strongest member of the group but because, dimly, his brain insisted Vek was the one who initialized his rage.

OOC: bleh, my brain hurts...maybe I shouldn't have crawled out of bed this morning.

(( Right, sorry... I've been busy... Stupid yearlies... Anyway!~ ))

Violet gasped as she felt herself fall to the ground. Doubt and confusion made her seem far more innocent that she might have liked. Pain rendered her unable to help. She wasn't frail; but that blow was something she was unaccustomed to.

What was wrong with them? They fight, unite, then break out into another bout of fighting right beneath the true enemy. Yet they didn't seem to care. Didn't seem to notice that "Eric" might get hurt. Might possibly even lose. Nevertheless, she stood up, catching her breath. It didn't hurt that much. Thinking about it just made it feel that way.

"Stop! What reason is there to fight when you may find yourselves dead at the hands of the creature above us? Are you all so full of boredom that you persist in fighting each other when running away from the likes of what Eric now fights? For our survival?"

The voice spoke with a clarity which might have worked amongst a crowd of people who were arguing. Here...

For a moment, Violet almost turned to see who had spoken. Who had been stupid enough to persuade a group who would not be persuaded. It took moments for her to realise that the voice was her own.

Stupid! Stupid, stupid, stupid!

She closed her eyes. If no one had heard, she would be content. If someone had and taken offence, she would rather face death with her eyes closed.

((I know Auron is not a match for Firi, but you have to understand he's a veteran warrior with amazing reflexes and combat instincts. He may not be as strong or as fast as the beast of fury, but he's still got plenty of power both direct and subtle.))

In a surprisingly quick maneuver Auron dropped his sword down, point first towards Firi's slashing claws. At the same time Auron himself, still under the effects of his Haste spell, shifted his weight to move underneath the the giant hyenoid as soon as his sword pierced her descending paw.

An inhuman cry pierced the clearing as the pale form of Raziel burst through the underbrush at lightning speed. His eyes blazed with unholy fury as his sword flashed in front of him straight towards the beast of fury. "You'll regret your interferance creature!!"

OOC: Grr i forgot about the haste magic stressed But Firi is a far superior veteran warrior, compared to Firi, Auron's still an infant. At this point in time Firi is about 2500 years old.

Firalina snarled at the pain in her paw and lunged again for the pathetic mortal. At that moment Raziel appeared and Firi had just enough time to dodge the blow which would otherwise have rended her in two. However dodging that blow put her directly in the path of Andrea's kick, which hit her hindquarters and shoved her away from the close range melee, and off of her feet. Firi's claws dug into the ground as she struggled to regain balance and now all three of her opponants were on the offensive. Her amber(now red tinged) eyes narrowed then briefly closed. The beast of Fury vanished in a burst of flame and then reappeared in the air just above Andrea, now fully healed.

"OH CRAP!" Andrea yelled jumping out of the way as Firalina suddenly dropped out of the air above her, getting one shoulder raked in the process. it did not escape the Kaijin girl's notice that the Beast of Fury was no longer bleeding and standing surely on all four legs. At the moment they were tenseing to spring on Raziel. Where Firalina's blood had fallen, fire was now beginning to blaze.

Illusor Meaneld
Illusor listened with polite interest to Lucian's elaborated tale, "That sounds remarkably like a malady found here apon Matri." He commented seriously, before adressing the young man's question. "Well aside from my personal oasis, Matri is not a particularly safe or healthy place. The entire planet consist mostly of dense forests, and the carnivorous man-eating beasts that wander the wilderness are numerous. It is a land full of uncertainty and danger, where the wilds of nature seem more than capable of resisting man's intervention." He gazed somberly at Lucian, "As one unfamiliar with the dangers of Matri your chances of survival out there without a native is next to none." His face slowly split into a casual and comforting smile, "I am willing to escort you if you wish, at least until we can discover a method by which to send you home...." His explainations suddenly halted, and the healer turned to gaze out into the forest in some alarm. neither of the others had heard or seen anything to indicate what had caught his attention, but he frowned in concentration nontheless. "I believe I might be needed to make a breif visit,..." He began vaughly after several moments of silence. "If I am not mistaken, there is at least one person in need of my particular help." He glanced once at the two strangers he had invited in to his abode. "My deepest appologies, I assure you I will be as swift as possible. Both of you are more than welcome to stay here if you please....However, if you feel more comfortable accompanying me than I will do my utmost to protect you outside this sanctuary."
"Actually, while your hospitality has been more than welcoming I could use a good streatch of the legs. I shall accompany you." Leo said informally.

"I'm going to kick myself when I reach the afterlife," muttered Violet, sighing.

She pulled out a dagger and spun it around for a moment, waiting. The sudden fire didn't put off her abilities to see too badly, as the flames were nowhere near her and she remained unnoticed amongst the fighting.

"One... Two... Three."

The moment she saw Firalina land, Andrea's shoulder torn, she aimed and threw her dagger at the Beast of Fury, aiming towards her stomach where she'd be more likely to hit her target and do some kind of damage.

((Not, of course, suggesting that Violet will actually be able to do anything. I'm just looking for something to do, lolz ^^; Sorry? ))

((Naw you're fine.))

Oblivious to the danger of his freinds, Erevek was still busy high above the forests of Matri, taunting and leading the chimeric beast that was his older brother. Vek's goal was rather single minded, coax the mindless beast away from innocents, but other than waiting for his brother to wear out or run out of energy Vek could not thnk of a method to stop him that might not involve passerbys. He was still pondering on this dilemma as he flew aerial acrobatics around Drakian. And in his state of slight distraction he failed to notice that both he and his brother were drawing steadily nearer to the Drakatopia Castle. The Knightmage's birthright, and current home of their parent's traitorous murderer...

Raziel met the beast of Fury's lunge with his own, his anger channeled into the blade extending it and causing it to spark with lightning and thunder. With his extended reach he swung hard, both to slash the immortal beast and at the same time use the momentum to knock each other aside saving himself from her attack.

Auron's regen spell was still active within Andrea, and the protect and shell effects he'd bestowed on all of them were still there too. He watched the fight from a short distance ready to step in when an oportunity presented itself. While he was waiting he cast a quick regen spell on violet, then started on for himself. He doubted such magic would have much effect on the undead Raziel.

Firalina snarled as the sharp-edged dagger buried into her gut and Raziel's blade gashing her shoulder. Her eyes were no longer red tinged amber, they were amber tinged red, and growing more crimson by the moment. "Do not tempt my rage puny mortals, or you will not live to regret it." She growled threateningly.

"You talk big, but I don't think you can take us all at once!" Andrea challenged, charging towards the Beast of Fury, hitting her hard in the stomach, driving the dagger deeper. It had not escaped Andrea's notice that Auron's spell had repaired her injuries, and she could feel her strength recovering from every hit she took, even as Firalina whirled and tore her wicked claws once again into the Kaijin girl.

OOC: And I'll leave Drakian up to Ermak for now, after all he's gotten pretty predictable.

And by that, I don't believe she's including me

Violet watched the fight wearily. She should have thought of the consequences before throwing her dagger. They always say actions speak louder than words. If you do neither, you're unlikely to get caught up in the crossfire.

She watched Andrea drive her dagger deeper, then get injured yet again, and winced on Andrea's behalf. It took courage to stand up to something you know is more likely to shred you to pieces than lay dying at your feet. Escpecially when that something is incapable of dying.

Pushing away such thoughts, she analysed the situation, waiting for the right moment to jump in and retrieve her dagger. Considering it was one of the only possessions she currently had, she'd need it back.

((... and stopped. Quite simply because I have to ask some questions:

a) Would Violet [ as a mere mortal human and all ] be able to jump onto Firalina's back [ if only for a few seconds ]?

b) What speed are they moving at?

c) What are Violet's chances of actually reaching, let alone jumping, onto Firalina's back?

Sorry, I just need to know her capacity when compared to the others... Thanks! ^^))

OOC: And now for answers from Sabel Fukaimori, Goddess of the Matri-Cluster, aka Furry1337otaku aka Kim Forrest

A.) Yes, but as you guessed not for long

B.) While Firalina has cat like reflexes, she moves mostly by normal locomotion, However, Andrea and Raziel are likely moving faster than the human eye can see, and Auron is moving faster than humanly possible but slowing as the spell wears off.

C.)Very tricky, but for the sake of the story let's just say she can, besides, Firi is distracted, ad the other fighters will help protect her))

((OOC: Thought I'd add a few things in here as well, I think Andrea is probably the fastest one there, that comes from her sayain heritage. Raziel can accellerate himself substantially when he wants to, which he's doing now, he's also using phasing and blinking techniques to move even faster, however he doesn't have the same leverage that Andrea has because of her ability to fly. Auron isn't nearly as fast as Raziel, and even with the haste spell is only barely keeping up, however at the moment he's biding his time for a good opening, and casting support spells on his allies. He's fighting smart, and is possibly the most dangerous of Firi's opponents even if he doesn't have the same speed as the rest of them.

With Violet, think of it like this, she is not a strong fighter, but that doesn't mean she can't help, she's already shown some skill at ranged combat, and she might possess other abilities which could help in crucial moments if she keeps her cool.))

Auron mentally checked the spells he'd cast on his friends. Andrea was under the effect of a protect, shell, and regen, as was Violet. He himself had the same three spells, plus a haste spell, and Raziel didn't have any of his spells on him yet. Auron backed a little further away from Firi and cast his spells one handed, to keep his sword ready in case the creature turned his way. The next spell he cast was another combination protect, shell, and haste targeted on Andrea Raziel and Violet.

Raziel landed lightly on his feet, his anger still fueling the light in his eyes, that single contact from his sword told him alot about his opponent. She was immortal, and while she had plenty of spiritual energy for him to feed off of, he doubted he or his sword could consume her soul. That didn't mean he couldn't take his revenge though. When he was done with her, he planned for her to be cripple, and without the energy to regenerate any time soon. If that was possible. If not, then he would at least make her retreat. He leapt towards her again, using telekinesis to draw the great creature closer even as he thrust with his blazing sword, this time he charged the blade with extreme cold, as he'd done against Drakian.

((The moment I read "He's fighting smart", a quote from Romeo and Juliet cam to mind =.="

"He rests his minim rests, one... two... and the third in your bosom..." (Mercutio Act 2, Scene 5, from memory...)

Yes, exams have addled my brain... And to whoever runs this guild, the welcoming note says "Sore looser" instead of "Sore loser"... Just FYI))

Violet moved further behind Firalina, her eyes never leaving the battle as she frowned in both annoyance and concentration. In hand was a stick she'd picked up without actually realising it. She waited, ready to dart forward the moment the tell tale light emanating from Raziel's 'sword', indicating his retreat ((in hopes that such a thing does occur)).

((I can't really go further because I'm not sure if Raziel will actually hit Firalina, and if so, where... Sorry ><" ))
