I'll give a shot at defining some of the important things of each class. People can comment on it and stuff, especially Sey. *gets to work* It really is necessary.

me City Map - Remember, the city extends beyond its walls. Also, the Royal complex is HUGE; remember, this is the biggest city in avalana. Anyone who wants to have or already has a character from the west with a business or a house in Cameliard, PM Songjewel about it so she can put you on the map! Not horribly fancy, but it gets the job done. Things I have done in Sey's RO-obsessed absence arrow PN and I are working on the classes and trying to get together descriptions of each one. Actually, we are working on defining the classes too...Any help is appreciated. arrow Also, we are looking at making a "Warrior" class to encompass general fighters, instead of having so many individual classes for fighters. AND, this way, we don't have to worry about Knights being the fighter class when we all know Knights are supposed to be made knights because of their chivalry as well as fighting prowess. After all, we need some evil fighters too. Without the move-lists, we really don't have to be all that specialized in class definition. Specialization comes with the character...in their Bio and their RPing. arrow A list of classes/possible classes that needs to be discussed/added to/whatever: Non-Magic Fighting classesWarriors Archers Barbarian/bezerker? Paladin Martial artist? Mage classesAir Water Fire Earth Light Dark Summoner Shady classesNinja Thief Non-Magic, Non-Fighting classesBard Beast master arrow I'm setting up the layout of the Capitol city of Avalana (Camiliard/Cameliard). See above. This is pretty much a replacement for the Chateau, since Anna has disappeared and we haven't seen Leo recently, and Chateau de Dieux is hard to say/spell/whatever...we can create a tavern there for people to gather in or anythign you want. So if you wanna start something, or have a kind of business there, make sure you let me know.

If anyone wants my input, PM me... I'll just be lounging otherwise... which is kind of sad... because I have nothing to do... Though I shouldn't be doing this, since apparently I'm wrong. ...or... something.
*Dances in circles and goes to play with his fake-preggy other account.*

Just to warn you, Song, Flare's trying to make some sort of pseudo-fighter class, or something...I don't actually know what she has planned, but I guess you'll see whenever she has her bio done.
I was pretty new to WoG when the whole thing went pfft, so I don't really know much about the old classes, either...I just know that mages can basically cast spells of their element and can't use weapons very well. Speaking of which, that disclaimer in the first post, that mages can't use a two-handed weapon, has been bugging me...last I checked, a staff was a two-handed weapon. sweatdrop Beast masters, I know, used their pets to attack...different ranks might have limits on what kind and what number of beasts they can tame. I don't really have any ideas on the other classes.
Oh, and, Song, when you get a chance, post in GB?

Must maintain hijacking!!!! *goes there now* As for Flare's psuedo-fighter class, if she'll PM or AIM me some details that'd be loverly. 3nodding Two-handed weapons I think means like heavy weapons that require high specialization...what the thing SHOULD say is Mages can't specialize in weaponry. Obviously a mage can bloody well use anything they want...it just might not be very effective. I mean, If I'm a mage, I can walk up to a table and pick up a sword. And I can probably throw it at something too...so it depends on HOW you're trying to use it, really. xd bludgeoning is a whole lot easier than aiming with a bladed weapon.

What it really would be is using any type of weapon with proficiency... Unless they know what they're doing with it, they'd just flail wildly, probably... And even if they knew what to do and when to do it, without practice it makes that all mostly moot.
xd I think I'm a bit too fond of the 'berzerker' characters... the ones who'll use anything and everything as a weapon... like Jackie Chan! blaugh

Brush up on your norse mythology. xp Someone who uses anything handy as a weapon is just...well...resourceful. xd A Berserker probably WILL bash you with anything handy, but that doesn't make anyone who does the same a berserker. EDIT: hey cool! I just realized I can lock the thread! twisted

Songjewel EDIT: hey cool! I just realized I can lock the thread! twisted You can also delete it with the other button in the corner. 3nodding And I know what a Berzerker is... But what did you want me to call it? 'Guy who uses anything not nailed down'? ...hehe... xd I remember, I was looking through all the manuals, and there is a D&D class that does that... The 'drunken master'. rolleyes They get bonuses with 'situational weapons'. whee Anyway...

Jackie Chan-ish classes are always fun. Although I've always wondered somewhere deep inside how many people Jackie could kill if he actually used a gun. I mean, think about it. If he can knock out like fifteen guys with, I dunno, a broom or something. As a matter of fact, his "job class" seems to go by the forumula "1 normal household object = 20 people defeated."
Some guys get all the luck. Incidently most of them are also Asian. But that's just luck by my standard.
So, what's to do? We're all waiting on stuff to get figured out and such? I wouldn't mind helping so I could consume all my non-working hours. I'd practice martial arts if I could find a Jackie Chan job-class-type person.
I've confused myself again.

And, yeah...I agree that mages can't specialize in weaponry, and with basically everything else you said...the wording of the post was just bothering me. 'Guy who uses anything that's not nailed down' is a fun class to play... whee What would you call that? A situationalist? Nope...doesn't sound good enough. xp I'm bad at class names...

Lol...I already have a character kinda like that. Alain, as his bio said, is a firm adherent of the philosophy that "anything in this room can be used as a weapon." I mean, why limit yourself to blades when blunt objects work just as well and don't leave as many marks?

What do you mean blunt objects don't leave as many marks? blaugh When someone gets their skull caved in with a mace, they are gonna wish they got hit by a sword. Not that it matters much, they're still dead, but at least they can have an open casket funeral afterwards...
