She heard the scream and stopped thinking, all previous concerns gone. Her feet carried her to his side. She fell to her knees beside him, too stunned to cry just yet.
"Nils! Nils, what happened?" she said, voice shaking. She took her brother's hand in her own. "Father Renault, what's wrong with him?" Her words turned into a plea as she looked up at the bishop.

Oujay was still standing outside the barrier when he heard a scream coming from the manor. He turned his head, there were some people running back into the house checking it out. He wasn't sure what to do. He looked at his sword as Rei's tendril was still covering it making it useless, there was nothing he can do to help anyways for both situations, so he just chose to stay there at the barrier. "This is not working out for me well," he thought as he continued to stand there. "I hope the person screaming is alright and hope that the girl trapped inside with Rei is alright too," he thought as he stood there helplessly.

Nils heard familiar voices (... Luna? And that's Ninian...), but he more focused on the gradually intensifying pain in his head. "Nini...an..." He still managed to choke out a reply to his sister. He even forced himself to smile, even though it was weak and obviously forced.
... ... Pathetic.
He screamed again and thrashed a bit, the bottle falling from his hand and shattering on the floor. He clutched his head tightly, gritting his teeth. Stop it!!

The bishop's eyes hardened. It was going to happen again, it seemed. And this time it would be his turn to "fix" it. One hand gently flipped open a tome of light magic under the bed, finding a non-lethal spell. He only wanted to restrain the boy, not hurt him. "Nils. . . I know it hurts. It's an evil influence on you. Try to fight it." But, most likely his words wouldn't have much effect except to maybe hold off the inevitable for a bit longer. When Ninian rushed in, Renault turned to her and shook his head. "I think he's been attacked, by the same person who attacked Rei. . . which isn't good, because he has the same symptoms too." Although Nils didn't know what that meant, Ninian would; she'd seen Rei a moment ago, most likely.
So, Renault's voice began to softly form the words to a spell, under his breath so that hopefully Nils couldn't hear it. He'd be much less dangerous restrained. Just some ropes, nothing more. . .

She watch as the bishop cast his spell to restrain Nils. She grew the look of what-can-I-do-to-help on her face.

"I... I'm trying..." Nils breathed out. It felt like he was slowly going insane. Everything felt so distant, so far away. He felt alone, even though people were within reach. Words just became sounds as he focused on stopping whatever was inside him, for his sake and for those around him. He was aware of the consequences if he failed. He really did not want to fail. His eyes closed as tried to block everything else out.
Stop!! ... Why. I'm the one in control here! ... That's what you think. But you're weak. Incomplete. Accept your fate... and stand down. I... I won't!! ... I-I can't... ... Fine.
There was another jolt, stronger than before. "Aaahn!" His fists clenched tightly, leaving indents in the palm of his hands. "S-stop it..." His eyes snapped open. "Leave me alone!!"
No. Now, disappear!!
... And then, things were eerily calm. Nils just sat there, his eyes closed once more, frozen in position as if nothing had even happened, breathing softly. He felt... better than before. Stronger than before. A totally new person. He would have smirked if he didn't want the others to notice the turnaround. Instead, he just kept perfectly still, putting up the illusion that he was still trying to fight.
The bard would keep them in the dark for as long as he could.

But some were quite sensitive to the dark.
There was another thud from the attic. But this time there was no snarl, no snap, no lash. Only a whimper.
Why couldn't they leave him be?
They were trying to consume him from inside out, he knew. Trying to devour him for his sin. His sin of mere existence. He was useless and without purpose, some godforsaken freak living in self-pity day by day, night by night. Worthless and feeble, drained of strength. And he knew it.
Nils's emotions and internal conflict washed over as his mind went haywire again, showing him many dimensions and then none, cutting deep inside and yanking out. Black tears flowed down his cheeks. Black and viscous like mud in the night.
He quietly hugged himself, singing softly for it to go away, shutting his eyes so he would not see all the white and black and static...

The rather fearful nomad noticed that Nils had returned, and was fighting his evil side. She saw what happened to Rei though, and how easily the Dark could consume someone. She too put up a deception, aimed at the possessed one and even all her comrades that she was still out of her senses. While her bow remained on the ground, without ammo, she really had just a few more stashed in her robes... emergency ammo.
The nomad was preparing for the strike. When it came... she'd fire and get that demon out of her friend. Both of them. But for now... she waited an continued to put up the act of freaking out. "What... is... happening? Why...? Why... us..? This day..."
She was even prepared to draw the infamous Killing Edge that had ended the lives of many of December's monsters... even if it was fully in its sheath.

Ninian listened to Renault, not entirely sure what he meant. Rei had been attacked? That would explain why he was fighting with Amelia, something that normally would not have happened. But what in Learania could have attacked the Druid and her brother? And why was this happening to them?
What little color left drained away when Nils jerked, thrashing as the bard cried out again. And then he stilled, quiet.
"Nils?" Ninian ventured, suddenly afraid of, not for, her brother.
What had happened to him, and to Rei? Nils still seemed to be fighting, but had Rei lost?

". . . Damn," Renault muttered, increasing the speed at which he whispered the spell. They didn't have very much time left until Nils fell to the same level that Rei had. They could only hope to the Goddess that it wouldn't be too late. And then. . . Nils fell silent. This was either a very good sign or a bad one. But it seemed lately they'd been assuming the good side a little too often. . . So, the bishop didn't stop his incantation, and he kept it quiet.
Glancing up at the two near him, though, he gestured quietly with one hand towards Ninian. There were still rings scattered across the floor; she could use those too, and that might help in some way. Then, turning to Luna, he made a motion as if to say, "Be ready." They wouldn't want to kill him, but he couldn't be allowed outside.

Nils remained silent and unresponsive. His hand twitched slightly, his fingertips brushing against the ebony flute by his side. Yes... The bard knew he couldn't stay here for long. Once they found out, he'd have to get out, and fast. He made small grabbing motions with his hands, trying to hide his task: getting the cursed flute. After that, his plan was simple: play, flee, and release. He knew the plan would work. There was no way it couldn't, since he knew of the flute's abilities.
His hand wrapped around the metal instrument. Now, all he had to do was wait...
He sensed he was running out of time, and fast. The bishop was whispering something, but he wasn't positive what it was. Nils wasn't about to stick around and figure it out, though. He had to act now. His eyes snapped open and he pulled the flute to his lips. A smirk appeared on his face as he stared at the group in front of him with cold, red eyes.
Then, the music began, and the plan was launched. The melody was loud and clear, powerful enough to lure anyone within the manor into a servant, unmoving and mindless unless ordered by the musician to act. He chuckled to himself, lowering the flute to his lap. "Perfect." The bard stood up and stretched, quickly glancing around the room for any equipment he should have. "The rings might be useful, but I can't even use them on myself... Tsk. I'll leave them for my beloved sister, then." He patted Ninian's head roughly and then headed to the front door. There was one more thing he wanted to do before going into hiding for a while...
"Oh, right." He stuck his head back in and played the restorative tune, releasing them from their state. "Now, to get the hell out of here..." He ran as fast as he could, down to where Amelia and Rei were still fighting.

. . . s**t. The moment he heard the first notes of the flute, Renault realized he'd waited too long. Damn it, he should have expected something of the sort. . . but he'd thought they'd gotten rid of that flute, not kept it. But for now, all he could do was stare vaguely in the direction of the bed as Nils stood up and left the room. At least he could still sense; within his mind, he tracked Nils' new aura as the boy moved towards the exit. Well, this wasn't good, Nils was going to get outside, and that would put the others out there between him and Rei's tentacles. This was becoming a lot of trouble.
But, then the flute sounded again, and a grin found its way onto Renault's face. The boy had made a mistake there. He'd been unprepared for the flute the first time, but now he had a second chance, and he wouldn't fall under its sway again. Granted, it was a flute, but it used magical power to enchant its subjects; and as stated in the last event previously, Renault's Resistance was as high as it would go, and Bishops were notorious for high Resistance. One hand rummaged in his satchel again, pulling out a small, stoppered bottle; the bishop popped out the stopper and sprinkled himself with the water inside. Just a bit of an extra precaution.
With the wave of a hand, the magic that had been forming before dissipated, and the bishop snapped his book shut. "All right. I can handle this; you can take your time," he told the others behind him. "We'll solve this." And with that, he turned to the window; Nils was downstairs and out the door, and there was only one way to catch him. Renault backed up a couple of steps, then rushed forward. With the sound of shattering glass, the window blew outwards and the bishop slammed into the ground outside, one hand put down to balance his landing. "NILS!" he roared. "Where do you think you're going?!"

Aran was outside, and saw a big dark wall. Rhys and Victoria were near it with their light tomes, as well as a blue haired swordsman. Rei must be inside there So he rushed towards them, but when he got there he heard a loud crash. He turned around to see Nils walking out, with Father Renault jumping out the window "Father Renault, what's going on? You haven't been corrupted have you?" He hoped he wasn't, because if he was then Nils was in trouble.

At this point, Ephraim was completly stumped on what to do. The barrier in front of him was being worked on by Rhys and while that was going on, a very loud scream was heard from the manor. He was torn from here and from what went on in the manor. However, due to the fact that there were others back at the manor meant that they could handle whatever had caused that scream.
The answer soon became into a quick question when he felt something out of place. He opened his mouth to say something but instead it simply lead to silence. He stepped forward, away from the barrier and the bishop, observing his surroundings until the feeling came more clear. Something or someone was coming and it didn't make the noble feel at ease..not at all. "Something's coming.." he whispered, stepping forward before dashing back half-way down the path.
((Why is it I read so much when I'm not here DDDD:, but then again I didn't post cause I was at a loss on what to do xD ))

And that was the signal. Sue knew that Nils had already fallen to the dark side, but his actions made her especially sure. Of course, she too had been prepared for the flute's effects, or any magic at all... thanks to a talisman she was given as a gift from her sage friend, O.Soren. Of course, she knew the dark-cloaked one was wandering now, just like her Father. Why was it that those close to her had a habit of disappearing?
Now certain the Demon had taken Nils, Sue got onboard her horse, her arrows ready to fire. "All I have to do is hit the flute. That way, he can't play those tunes anymore!"
Galloping towards Renault's direction, Sue took aim at a now much-faster Nils, aiming for the instrument in question.
{Everyone else is supposed to be mindless though? Or... am I Deus Ex Machina-ing my way out? I hope this is allowed.}
