KOTR was fun, but it took so fricking long!! If you had to use it more than once, you were yawning during what should have been an exciting boss fight. wink

i like the KOTR summon. that one kicks a**. Anima was cool because of the graphics... but what if KOTR has better graphics?

If you get your magic stat to 255 then you will do more damage than any other summon ever with KOTR. Not many ppl do it since it's so time consuming but I use Yuffie in most of my playthroughs.

They're so long and I just want to go on with the game than getting stuck in a one battle -.-

i find it funny just about everyone is saying knights of the round table in these posts anyways i agree its just looks so cool when you summon it and it beats that boss so bad he cries for his mommy after it(if he is still alive) but my fav summon besides knights would have to be attomos i know he isnt the strongest but i just think he is cool

Weighing in with my two gold's worth here...
KOTR and Anima are both powerful, but I think it's not just about which is most powerful but 'which summons is the greatest'. To me that means 'which summons do I like the best/think is coolest' and so forth. So let's go down the line...
FF7 - my favorites are the Bahamuts, Odin and Choco/Mog. Choco/Mog may be one of the weaker summons, but his status effect of sometimes paralyzing what he hits has saved my keister more than once.
FF8 - Leviathan, Alexander, Diablo and Quetzalcotl.
FF9 - Madeen and Carbuncle. I'd also like to say at this point I feel a little cheated that we didn't get to 'play' Alexander.
FF10 - Valefor, Ixion, Shiva

Onmyoji Seimei Honestly, what kind of question is that? The Knights of the Round Table versus the representation of some eternally tormented spirit. I can't imagine anyone beating Emerald Weapon using Anima. I beat emerald without using summons just for fun. xp

So did I.....but that was because the materia I had didn't allow for a brutal summoning assault (And the way I did it made me live alot longer and better anyway razz ) Oh, and SHIVA IS MY FAVORITE (I don't know why, but the queen of Ice has always captivated me)

Deaths Apprentice Well, after all the games I've played, of FF games at least, I have only run into two truly powerful summons... I mean, the kind of summons that really make bosses look like wussies... Those two summons are KOTR and the FFX Bahamut. Both of them can make a boss fall in 1 to 2 hits. Bahamut, with his constant 99,999 dmg attacks, regardless of the attack I'm using, and KoTR with its 129,987 dmg from striking 13 times with 9999. Both bring the end boss of the game to its knees incredibly fast, both have awesome summon sequences, and both are one of the last summons you can get... Since, I've never taken the time to get Anima in FFX, I wouldn't know how strong it is, but since there is no such thing as being able to strike for 99,999 in one strike, it is kinda hard to see how it could be stronger than Bahamut. Although Cloud gets to doing around 159,984 with Omnislash, if he does max damage every strike, he still can only do that once every limitbreak, without being cheap and mimeing it. So, through examination, KoTR can be mimed, thus resulting in 129,987 dmg every turn, by ALL your characters, if you have 3 mime materias. I guarantee, that three strikes at 129,987 every circle of turns, is better than anything Anima can pull off. Even if the KoTR summons takes more time, I'm sure if you had summons set to full sequence in FFX and you released Anima after every turn then resummoned it... It would probably come to around the same time taken up. Anima is better because it has more life at that period in the game and is better earlier on in its attacks. but I think Bahamut's faster. smile I dunno personally I liked anima better because I always thought KOTR was a little lame as far as the idea goes and the animation is too long.

Okay my favs are:
FFVII: Neo-Bahamut (saved my a** an un-believable amount of times first time I completed teh storyline)
FFIX: Bahamut (same as above)
FFX: Anima, as I voted for in the poll, I just love this summon, so awsome, not only does it look cool and gothy, it deals out huge a** chain damage (also when you get yuna to a stupidly high level, it does WAY more damage on overdrive than any of the other summons.)
FFXII: Not sure still a few I need to get, so far that earth-based dude (dont rember the names, too complecated haha)

if you get 2 final attacks mix one with pheonix and 1 with KOTR if u have 1 final attack use pheonix therefore pheonix is better than KOTR because KOTR doesn't bring u bak to life
