Kaosti went back to the kitchen to retrieve the last of the food, and never really returned.
Vaine kept periodically looking back at the door expecting to see him, but nothing.
Hiro placed his napkin down and tapped Vaine, "Somethings wrong... I can't sense him..." he whispered not trying to alarm the rest of the guests.
Vaine's eyes flashed with a hint of fear as he slid out of his chair and into the kitchen with out much notice from the guests.

Cortez was a little curious as to why Kaosti was taking so long, but did not move from his seat. Sybil had gone on to tell a funny story about Jabez trying to do yoga, and Jabez ate his food silently. everyone laughed accordingly.

Vaine explores the kitchen to find Kaosti flat on his back, exhausted. The poor kid had been up all day, struggling through a difficult time in his life, and hadn't eaten all day. kneeling down, Vaine propped the boy up against his leg and pricked his wrist with the tip of a knife, "Boy, Open your mouth. you need to eat."
Kaosti could smell the blood, and it had brought him out of his unconscious state, but he refused the offer by turning his head away, "... I'll be up in a minute...." he groaned as he tried to roll out of Vaine's arms.
"Kaosti Mire Abyss... You are in the middle of a damned dinner party that you prepared for. Now I will ask you one more time to open your mouth, and if you don't i'll do it by force..."
Kaosti's red eyes rolled open and he nibbled on Vaine's wrist. a few minutes later and he was back on his feet, "Thank you... " he sighed as he wobbled about and grabbed the counter to stabilize himself, "That should get me through dinner..."
Smiling, Vaine shoved him out the door and followed just after him.
Kaosti returned to the seat next to Sybil, and dished up a small plate.

Sybil rested her hand on Kaosti's leg and gave him a concerned look. "are you alright?" she asked, sounding sincere.
"Hes whiped out. He obviously slaved over this food, it tastes amazing." Ebony stated, making light of Kaosti's condition. most of the dinner party laughed, and agreed that the food was wonderful. but Lucid and Cortez knew what had gone on, his condition was a reason for concern.
Ania understood what he needed, she wanted to feed him, she would let him after dinner. that would be a good way to repay him.
Asillin was discreetly rubbing her foot up and down Vaine's leg
Cortez and Jabez seamed to be having a silent conversation with their glances.
Ebony told stories and generally entertained everyone.
and overall dinner was a success.
Cortez and Jabez went to the fireplace to chat, Asillin was hanging all over Vaine, Ebony, Lucid, and Hiro were getting full on wine and talking with each other about the big mysteries of life, like how to put up a ceiling, and where all the water goes when it falls off Enthelda.
Ania was still picking at her food, semi listening to Ebony lucid and Hiro
Sybil took Kaosti aside to talk with him on the front porch.
"Kaosti," Sybil started "about the beach." she paused thinking of what she was about to say "I want you to be my real boyfriend, and we can go on dates and stuff." she reached out and held his cold hand. "when im with you, i can feel normal. well as normal as any queen can feel anyways. I want to keep seeing you." she wasnt looking at him but she was smiling like she was having a good dream. she kissed him gently on the cheek, "i have to go now im sorry" Sybil then stepped inside to get Ebony.
Sybil grabbed Ebony's arm and tugged it a little. "sorry guys, gota go. nice to meet you." Ebony waved them goodbye and he and Sybil evaporated in the swirling dim smoke.

Sybil stepped out onto her balcony and gazed at the golden sky. Ebony followed her out and wrapped his arms around her and rested his chin on her head. "did you have fun tonight?" he asked her casually
"yes,"she replied with a smile "and i asked Kaosti to be my boyfriend."
Ebony was quiet and still. "you mean like a real boyfriend?"
"yes"
he released her and sat in the painted iron chair. "why did you need a boyfriend? im always here for you."
"but your my guardian"
"so? what makes me different?"
Sybil paused "why are you being like this?" she sounded agitated
"Can't you see that i want you for myself?"
she was silent
"I have done everything for you, and have always supported and helped you with your decisions. why him?"
"because you dont make me feel the way he does. i feel happy and normal. with you i feel like a queen, a queen with duties, and chores."
Ebony flared his nose, he rose and flipped over the table in frustration, and vanished in smoke.

Kaosti smiled at the echoing sounds of Sybil's voice in his head. it was beautiful and happy sounding, but he couldn't make out the words. There was also a little warm mark on his cheek where she had kissed him, and he could barely remember how it got there. looking out into the yard he saw swirls of black and red, everything was moving, even though he could swear he was standing still. None of it really mattered. Right now all he needed was rest.
Hiro unbuttoned the top of his pants and sighed pleasantly as he examined the battlefield which was once a great meal, "Well, The damage has been done..." he groaned to himself as he finished his last bit of wine and began bringing plates and platters into the kitchen.
He summoned a couple ghost hands which kept groping the knobs to the faucet, 'geh... not grope turn! they're not a set of breasts...' he growled as he watched the light blue hands, "then again... when was the last time I washed dishes....?" he chuckled and went to go on the water himself.
After a few hours of dish washing, and two bottles later, Hiro was having a mighty fine time. Singing and swaying to the music his drunken vocal chords made. none the less... the dishes were getting finished. As Hiro turned to grab the last platter he tripped and fell on his face, then began giggling, "Damned pants... what the hell are you doing around my ankles? were the girls getting frisky with me and I was too drunk to notice?" he jumped to his feet and pulled up and buttoned his pants. then finished the last platter and tucked it away in the drying rack. "All done!" he grinned as he swayed out of the kitchen and fell into Vaine's lap, "I did my job... Now, Where's my nephew!"
Vaine rolled his eyes at the blubbering idiot and threw him onto the floor, "Cortez... I don't dare travel with him tonight, so you wouldn't happen to have a room relatively close to a bathroom, would you?"

Cortez nodded, "he can have the one next to the upstairs bathroom"
Ania was feeling kind of beat from her episode earlier and decided to relax in the tub. she changed into a robe and sat on the edge to start the water. she stepped away and went over to the mirror. she examined her face while she brushed her lilac locks. am i too old now? she asked herself no thats not it, its because im crazy she looked down into the sink and sighed.
the water from the spout stopped, Ania went to it and twisted the knob, nothing. she turned it off and looked at it for a moment, then turned it back on again. only this time instead of water, roaches poured out from the spout and began to fill the tub with their filthy squirming bodies. Ania ran to the door, but couldn't manage to open it. she shouted for Kaosti and began banging on the door.

While roaming the gardens in the late night hours Kaosti heard a muffled screech which brought him to his knees. the sound felt like it was ripping him apart; a sound of sheer terror. He tried to focus, tried to figure out where it was coming from and then looked up at the bathroom window to see the light on, 'There.'
He teleported into the room and fell to his knees from lack of energy. looking around the room, he managed to make out the bath tub and heard a loud gushing noise, which he guessed to be water, but the sink wasn't running...
as the noise grew softer he felt his pants becoming slightly wet and very warm, 'Urine? Christ... I haven't felt like I have to urinate...' turning he found a large white tub flooding over with warm blood and smiled, "How convenient?" he muttered to himself as he scooped up a hand full of the delicious liquid to press it to his lips and find... water.
Kaosti snarled and turned the faucet of, then faced the object which he couldn't make out that was making that horrible noise and growled, "What... Is that sound?!"

Ania turned around and hugged him. "Kaosti, im sorry" she held his face in her hands "you dont look so well. you need to relax" she began taking his clothes off, "a hot bath will help."

Cortez got comfortable in his chair and looked at the fire place, Asillin was laying in front of it again, only she was nude, and using her dress as a pillow.
"Vaine" he said to him and pointed to the nudist on his floor.

Kaosti staggered to his feet and shuffled backward against the wall, "No! No, I don't need to relax, I don't need a bath... Just stop...." he pressed his palms against his head and tried to get his mind to focus and think properly, "You... Were screaming for me... What is wrong?"

Vaine opened his eyes and sat up to see a shiny hiney looking up at him. he blinked a few times to make sure what he was seeing was real and draped his jacket over her. Then laid back in the chair and closed his eyes.

Asillin held the collar to her nose and smelt it for a bit, then closed her eyes and pulled the coat over her head.

Ania pulled her hair around and twisted it, exposing her tan neck. "im sorry i tricked you," she said then moved closer to him "I want to help you" she pulled the robe away from her neck and tucked it around her shoulder. "go ahead." she said as she presented her neck to him. she turned her head away and closed her eyes, the anticipation was giving her goosebumps and her tan skin prickled.

Kaosti scooped her up into his arms and kissed the length of her neck gently. every part of him just wanted to tear her apart, but he lightly drug the tip of his fang down her neck, making a small cut, and sucked it lovingly.
His entire body tensed at the blood touching his tongue, but he refrained his natural instincts of tearing into her flesh. instead he drank for a minute and stopped, "I cannot take more... From what I know... you have not fed on anything else but me... and right now your blood is far too precious for you to be losing." he lightly licked the open wound, healing it, and kissed her neck softly.
"Thank you Ania." he whispered as he released her and stepped back.

Ania rested her palm on his Kaosti's jaw, and she stroked his hear gently with her soft finger. "you are more than welcome" she looked into his eyes and she felt dizzy with lust, she wanted him, all of him. "im sorry i couldn't give you more" she said with disappointment. they were so close she could feel his energy, and excitement pulsed through her body.

He smiled and took her hand that was against his face, "Well, I should probably go clean up the mess I made in the kitchen, and you look as though you were in the middle of taking a bath... so I should probably let you do that." Kaosti stepped aside and grabbed a towel to mop up the spilled water. he then grabbed another one and set it next to the tub, "Enjoy your bath."

Ania grabbed Kaosti's hand, "wont you enjoy it with me?" she said to him with an enticing grin. she turned her body away from him and let the robe fall to the floor with a flup. she flipped her hair and slowly dipped herself into the hot water. she turned back at kaosti with a look that was just begging him to join her.
