((I don't blame you, ED. We're all horrible people and deserve to be shot.))Eulalia Danae Svarly didn't wink back. "And you would be?" "I would be a FOX, send to 'handle' you. Dev is a Friend, good at hospitality but not so good at people who don't want to cooperate." The woman straightened. "You're Kore, you have no notoriety, and you're from that backwards little planet where hair color is a religion." She laughed harshly. "Well. If it's any comfort, I'm as dark inside as my hair tells you I am. But if you say anything to Sweetheart, you're a dead girl, clear?"
With no more ado, the woman--the FOX--grabbed Svarly by the arms and handcuffed her the old-fashioned way, pushing her down the stairs and into a kitchen with no gentleness.

((....but it got people to post now didn't it? I was having a pretty big breakdown late last night, please don't take it personally, AC.))
Svarly's eyes darkened slightly. "It helps in cooperation if someone gives you a clue as to why and how you're supposed to cooperate."
"I was a dead girl the moment they brought me to earth." Svarly glanced back at her captor, "Would help if I know who this 'Sweetheart' is, cupcake." Svarly looked at the layout of the kitchen, checking placement of knives, forks, and anything else that may have been left out in the open. "I'm beginning to think I'd have faired better off with the Earth police and their inhumane methods of torture."
She smiled softly, "Whatever it is you want, I have no real ties back with the Kore, not any more. All things considered, I'm a waist of your time."

((Other people, maybe. I haven't even been in the guild since the last time I posted. *dry* But yeah, no hard feelings. I've not been feeling all that chipper on my end, either.))
The dark woman chuckled. "Why, my Sweetheart is the raven-haired angel, missy. And she cooks better and has a purer soul than any cop this side of Heaven. What were we calling you again?"
She shoved Svarlena down into a chair and hooked the chain of the handcuffed on a curl of wood in the pattern of the chairback. "You allergic to anything? Milk protein, lactose, peanuts, bee stingers, bamboo, mist-of-the-lake?"

((It must be a conspiracy, some kind of alien waves making people feel like crap? Iunno, I've just been cranky recently.))
"Ah," Svarly said with slight uplifting of her upper lip. "How quaint." She tilted her head slightly. "Cop? So am I still with the police then?"
She crossed her legs in the seat, appearing comfortable despite the force of the push and the handcuffs on the back of the chair. "No, no allergies. Dissappointed?"

A day or so after Pen's disappearance a Kore issued one-man ship was seen floating at a slow pace towards Earth. It was clearly moving on autopilot, the inhabitant either dead or unable to respond.
Inside the ship, Pen was still in a drugged sleep.

((Must be. What other explanation is there?))
The woman barked a laugh. "It means I can feed you dog food and not be accused of murder. Earth laws. They're a b*tch."
She took up her position leaning against the wall again, this time at an angle to Svarlena where she could see both hands and facial expression. She was smirking, almost as if she was simultaneously annoyed and trying not to laugh.
The floor dropped out from under Svarly's chair.

((The government?))
"Kore training is far worse, cupcake. Have fun. This'll be nothing new." Svarly rolled her eyes, bored of the intimidation tactics. It was a common enough game back in the ranks.
She did however let out a startled shriek as she and her chair dropped through the floor.

((Same thing. Don't you know that there's a conspiracy, and all government technology comes from aliens? XD))
The woman's laughter echoed after Svarlena as she fell.
And then, Svarlena wasn't falling anymore. Nor was she handcuffed or sitting on a chair. Instead, she was back in the pale blue room she'd woken up in, standing, watching herself sleep.

((omg....omg we're screwed!!! gonk ))
Svarly let out a long sigh as she looked down at herself on the bed. Either she had been drugged, dropped into some holo-room, or her mind was being messed with. She crossed her arms, and leaned against the wall. "So have I fallen into some kind of rat race for the amusement of some godly variant of a sad lonely little being?" She asked, glancing around, wondering what nonsense her captors were up to now.

((I will just post that Hattie's on Earth, fixing the RioReet as usual. O.O Because I have no idea where else to post. >.< ))
Hattie had rented a small hanger to fix her ship in with an even smaller side-home. The small apartment like building had enough room for herself and her crew and possibly one other.
As of now, she is working on the engines within the ship while Halise meditates near her. Riley and Cale have disappeared, following leads to their baby.

Eric had found where Hattie was hiding out,and had set off to meet her, thinking on the events of the day, head throbbing.
He knocked on the door, waiting patiently for Hattie to respond.

"Captain, there's someone at the hanger door." One of ROSE's floating screens made its way to Hattie, giving her a glimpse of Eric. She wiped her hands on a wrap and attempted to wipe the dirt and grease from her face. This did no good, however. She was caked in mess and didn't even bother re-clipping her overalls. She simply left them dangling, exposing her filthy purple sports bra as she made her way to the door.
It wasn't that she didn't want to see Eric, but her mind was a mess after dealing with his near death and the death of a very good friend. She yanked open the heavy hanger door enough to see Eric and let him in. "Hey." She said softly and motioned for him to come inside.

Eric stepped in, still wearing the Kore uniform he had stolen from the ship, having not had the time to change.
"Heya, hon." He replied, stepping into the hangar, and leaned against the wall.

"Hey." She said again, looking very tired. It had been days since she'd slept properly. She was also in need of a shower. Since Penadri's death, she had released her dreadlocks in favor of her naturally curly red hair as a sign of mourning. As of now, it was swept up into a ponytail. "I'm workin' on the RioReet's engines, if you want to help."
