Kia just sat there. "If you don't mind, I think I would like to sit out here for a while longer. I'm still... I've been inside too long." He shifted the topic he was about to say. He was going to say he was still confused about what was happening, but she didn't need to see his self doubt anymore. He needed to get stronger. He needed to be able to defend himself, as well as Kalia. He just needed to. "I think the fresh air out here will help me more. You know when I'm open for appointments." Kia tried to crack a joke, to lift his own spirits up. It was a poor one, but better than none. He had no place to go. Nothing to do. He figured he would sit there and watch the sun set. He had things he needed to contemplate. He needed to think. It was going to be difficult without running, but after that afternoon, he didn't wish to push it so much again. He didn't want to hurt Kalia for his own mistake.

Kalia nodded, "Okay..." she said heading in to make the call, "Cristia?" Kalia asked when the secretary picked up."Hey Kali..." Cristia said, "What's goin' on over there I heard you already contacted Aeren..."Kalia leaned on the wall, "I don't know what I have..." she admitted, "He's not a were but he heals like one... so I know he's not mortal... but he's not a were I'm sure of it... and he can't remember anything before the last four years... I don't know is there a procedure for this?" she asked. There was silence for a moment before Cristia answered again, "You wanna set up an appointment with the Council for this one?" she asked.Kalia laughed, "Why else would I call you?" she asked, Cristia was after all the Council's Schedule Director."We actually have a break one of the supplicants from several years ago... when they made the appointment has passed away... I have a space for tomorrow morning... you want it?" she asked.Kalia smiled, "Sure... thanks Cristia..." she said and hung up.

Kalia had gone inside. Kia sat, alone outside. He couldn't take it any more. He couldn't just sit here and not do anything. If he was going to get stronger, he had to start now. Standing up from the ground, Kia looked around for a steady branch. Spotting one nearby, he grabbed it and thought for a moment. How did Kalia do this again? He tried to swing the stick like it was a thin blade, but ended up driving it into the ground. Appearently, his reflexes didn't work with swords. He just wasn't very good with this... stick pretend sword. He actually looked rather silly. He was swinging around a stick, and doing a rather bad job at it. By the time he was a few minutes into his 'exercise' he had already busted the stick into half it's size. Now, it was a pretend dagger. It just wasn't working.

Kalia suppressed a smile and asked without a hint of her amusement showing, "Would you like to learn swordplay?" she asked.

Kia jumped. He didn't think anyone was watching. "I don't think I'd be much use." he held up the stick. "It was longer." It was starting to get dark, as she had already done her training. The sun was starting to set, and night was approaching. Kia looked at the horizon, watching as the sky turned to dusk. It was his favorite time of the day, when the sky was washed with color. Tonight, it seemed to be catching aflame. It just left him with a sense that something bad would happen during the night. He shook off the feeling. This was a were safe house. He was safe here. No one even knew he was here. Kalia was there too, so he was more than safe. "I think we should call this a day anyway. I can always try to learn later." he tossed the stick into the woods, near where he grabbed it. It was useless now, even as a prop.

Kalia let him lead the way inside and she locked the door behind them, "I was pretty bad a swordplay when I started..." she said. She frowned slightly at the sticky feeling she had as her clothes clung to her sweaty body, "I'll go take a shower and then whip something up for dinner..." she offered
After she got his order she headed to the bathroom and remember, "Your meeting with the Council is tomorrow..." she told him before closing the door.

Kia waited for the sun to set deeper into the horizon before he walked inside. He noticed how she locked the door. It was a little funny how she, a powerful werewolf, locked her doors at night. Anything strong enough to threaten her could easily break the door down, forget about the lock. Kia turned a little surprised when she said when their meeting was, "Tomorrow? How did they manage to see me that quickly? I'm just a nobody to them." He was surprised, but at the same time happy. He might finally come across some answers he so desperately needed. Answers he has been searching for the last four years for. He just hoped they had something, anything, to help him. He still felt like they must know something about him. If not him, then what he is at least.

Kalia took a quick shower and grabbed a robe tying it around herself can carrying her dirty clothes, "I'll be back in a second," she said; darting up stairs and changing into another skirt and corset top before taking the steps quickly to get back down, her steps light, "So what do you want for dinner?" she asked tying her hair up as she spoke.

Kia was actually in the kitchen, looking over what was there. He didn't know where anything was, which was a problem. "Well, if you don't mind, I was thinking of cooking dinner. You've done it so far, so I think it would only be fair if I treated you for once." He was looking over a few spices on a rack as he was talking, checking out what was there for a selection. "What would you like? I'm actually a fairly decent cook. mom insisted that each of her boys learned, so we would never go hungry. Then she got her night job, and wasn't around much." Kia picked up a bottle. It was a rather universal spice, but without knowing what he was cooking, he didn't know what spices would be good. He didn't want to just rummage through her stuff though, but he was sincere about wanting to cook for her. He didn't mention that he wanted to do this for all the things she did for him, like saving his life. He also was now pulling him out of a pit of despair. He was still frustrated, but he would now be able to learn to defend himself, with her help.

Kalia shrugged, "If you want to..." she said, "Spices are in cubbord to the left... meat is in the side freezer next to the fridge... Um... everything else is either in the regular fridge/freezer or the non-perishables are in the cabinets over there..." she said pointing..." he paused to think, "All the pots and pans are in the lower cubbords a little haphazardly..."

Kia took it all in. "Well, now we just need to know what we want to eat." He opened the fridge with the meat... to discover that it was packed with it. "Carnivores. Should have guessed." Kia wasn't really shocked, but he wasn't expecting this much meat. "So, what's this? Should I just grab some meat? Maybe a few potatoes, with a side of rice..." Kia was thinking of what to cook. The kitchen was fully stocked, and the choices were vast. He didn't expect this much to choose from. He ended up grabbing some kind of fowl. It seemed to be chicken, but it was different. It wasn't turkey, eh knew that for sure. He then closed the door. He thought it might be duck, possibly. He hadn't cooked with that before, but always a first. He did wonder what spices would work best with it, but decided he would just give it a basic oregano and other base spice seasoning. With a short amount of time, and a few dirty dishes later, their meal was done. One cooked Duck with a side of boiled seasoned potatoes and spiced rice sat in a series of plates and pots. "Sorry if it doesn't look all pretty like in a magazine, but it is food, and this saves on dishes." He was holding a wooden spoon in his hand, the one he used to stir the rice. "Don't know what to call it, but it is supper." (Side note for the comic: Duck was mutilated during a badly phrased old quote. Had to cook it, as I couldn't let the poor thing go to waste.)

Kalia smiled and helped carry the dishes to the table she had set while he was cooking, "Smells good..." she said as she settled at her place and scooped her mashed potatoes before catching a peice of duck on the end of the prongs, she munched and swallowed before saying, "It's actually quite good..." she said with a smile.

Kia placed a pile of mashed potatoes in a neat pile, and then the rice in another corner of his dish. Taking a small cut off the duck, he placed that in another corner. He was taking his time to eat, checking on the taste of the new type of meat. He wasn't too thrilled with it, and he seemed to have over done the seasoning on the duck. He was sure it was duck now. It wasn't chicken. "I did an alright job. I messed up the seasonings a bit. I can tell." He really wasn't touching much on his plate, and he only grabbed small helpings of each. After that large lunch, he wasn't hungry at all. Then he was also excited about the council the next day. He was nervous, which probably explained why he was eating even less. "What do you think the council has to say? They certainly got me in quickly." He made some conversation, and was trying to see what might happen. He was sure he would have to learn how to act in front of them. A council usually expected people to act a certain way in front of them. He had no idea what he was getting himself into.

Kalia slowly worked her way through the food before getting a refill, she hadn't been joking when she said weres had higher metabolisms. She ate like a pig and was still in danger of dropping under weight, "Cristia is a friend of mine and she got you a sooner appointment..." Kalia explained, "The Council is very strict in some respects but very lenient in others..." she said, "Be polite but you needn't grovel, just don't speak until asked to and wait patiently... and everything should be fine... They expect composure and conciseness from their supplicants.. and I may end up doing most of the talking since I am an Enforcer..."

Kia gave a slight sigh of relief. "That's good to hear." His mind was set a little more at ease, but he was finished eating long before Kalia even went for her second helping. He just had his plate on the table. He was rather startled by the amount of food she could eat. It wasn't surprising, considering the meal she brought up to him for lunch. "I'll try to leave all the talking to you. I don't wish to anger them into not giving me something for my troubles." He swallowed a little hard, as he considered his next statement, "Do you think they will give me the same choices you had? Either be a rouge or be an enforcer?" This was a point he was rather nervous over. He didn't mind being an enforcer, but he knew he would miss his family. He was sure they wouldn't let him see them again, except to explain his disappearance. If he was an enforcer, he probably wouldn't be able to be with Kalia either. A rouge would mean he would have to tread carefully, or he would fight Kalia, which he figured would have a spectacular ending for himself.
