Galesen sighed a little to himself, he was trying to think of a way to cheer Isle up, he did screw things up with the dancing after all so he needed to at least make amends for it, at least he could give them something witty to laugh about. A blink Kyst and he shook his head. "No, stay. I've been over thinking too much. Don't worry about it." Though he turned at Isle's question and he chuckled a little. "Well it's not totally interesting, more perosnal humiliation really. I was praticing my magic on my land a few days or so ago and had used some ice magic as as way to cover the ground for my 'opponent' in the torunament to trip on. Well long story short after focusing on my sword strikes a little later I slipped on the ice and fell, the only thing is the land was on a bit of a slope so I began to slide, and I didn't stop until I smacked right into a tree." A small chuckle from Galesen as he shook his head. "I swear it felt like I was going to be eating bark for a few days."

"You can't leave yet Kyst, didn't you come up all this way into the mountains and wear shoes to ask something? You wouldn't want to head all the way back down and then have to come all the way back up." Shaking her head and turning her attention over to Galesen. "So if Kyst is horrible on land, does that mean Gale is horrible in water since ice is water and it gets the better of him?"
"Right, that's how it should be." Nuzzling at her. "No worries, those kinds of things work them out. Besides, by the time you're Queen I'm sure you and me are going to be a lot more interesting in everything we do."

"Yes, yes I did. And you know how much I hate shoes..." Shaking his head and then frowning, "But I still can't remember what that something was... Perhaps it was about the tournament? Are you or Nillrik competing this year, Isle?" He laughed good-naturedly at Gale's story; it was an amusing image. "Haven't quite learned the dangers of that sort of combat yet, eh Gale?"
That nuzzle became a kiss shortly after and she almost became so wrapped up in it that she missed the import of his last statement. Pulling herself from the bliss and blinking at that rather cryptic statement, her head tilted. "More interesting? Whatever do you mean by that, Nyc?"

"Well then you're staying, simple as that my friend." A small smile from Galesen before he grinned as Isle. "Oh no Isle, I'm good in water. I just let the ice that was there slip my mind as I concentrated on my sword play, and so it had me tasting bark for a few good hours." A turn to Kyst and he chuckled a little. "That's why it's called training. I'm taking my time with this so I can certainly get use to fighting on a sheet of ice." And Galesen felt better because now they seem to be at least enjoying something, even if it was something he did by accident.

"Or you could just make it simple and wear modified boots and then you wouldn' thave to worry about slipping." Shrugging her shoulders and turning a look back to Kyst who was still serving as her seat. "Apparently, Nilli has decided that I won't be competing."
A blink at her and a light tilt of his head. "Well, you know. Married, ruling kingdoms, those sorts of things. Or at least that's the hope and what not. Sometimes I like to get ahead of myself."

"I'd go for the boots. Less painful and less time consuming." Letting that subject fall by the wayside and frowning at Isle. "Last I checked you were the mother. Why doesn't he want you doing so?"
"Oh, right. But we can't get married until you propose, Glynnic." Quirking an eyebrow at him and then looping her arms around his neck. "All in good time, I suppose."

"Boots it is then!" And it seemed like that was that, which Galesen hoped wasn't going to happen but it seemed so. "I think Nillrik is being a bit protective of his mother which is why she is not going to go for the tournament this year. It's cute really to see him wanting to keep his mother safe." It was, he has been seen clinging to his mother from time to time now and it was adorable.

"I am the mother. But like Gale says, he just doesn't want to see me get hurt. I can imagine how it may br to watch your mother get hurt like that. We all know how tough tournament can be. I'll just enjoy the festivities and watch this year." Shrugging lightly. "Besides, that way I don't have to worry about all that hurting and what not part afterwards, maybe do some shopping. Tournament is always a nice show off place."
"I've been trying to propose, the plane and you yourself have been making it difficult for me to do so." Chuckling lightly at her and lacing an arm around her waist again. It was nice to see her getting back into a better mood. "I'm not going to have a proposal associated with anything ill."

Maybe Kyst was missing it but he really didn't see how that was cute. "You don't want to see him get hurt either but I'm pretty sure he rarely takes that into consideration when he wants to do something dangerous." Shaking his head. "But I respect your decision to remain outside of it. I'd rather not go up against you anyway." Giving her a smirk and squeezing her gently. "What about you, Gale?"
"You have?!" Thus the squealing began. She gave him a big grin and threw her arms around his neck, lifting her legs up in joy. "Well, don't be too long about it. But don't do it now, either. Wait until I'm not thinking about it and then surprise me."

"Well if you won't be competing in the tournament this year then that's fine. Maybe next time eh?" Still he understood why Nillrik didn't want his mother to enter the fight, so it was all fine by Galesen with Isle's decision. Though a look to Kyst and he raised an eyebrow. "So, you're entering? I thought you weren't. What made you change your mind?" Though of course he gave a nod to the sea elf's question. "Of course, I like entering them, they are fun to be in and it helps test out my strength against those on Andal."

“That’s true. But I suppose boys will be boys. Besides, I really don’t feel like getting tossed around and battered up anyway. You know me, I never like to stay idle too long and that’s exactly what everyone does after tournament.” Laughing lightly, “Aw, you’re afraid I’d kick your butt.”
He laughed at her enthusiasm and her want of the moment but also wanting to be surprised. “Alright, I’ll make sure I surprise you when you’re least thinking about it. Promise.” Nuzzling at her with another laugh. “

"Nope, I'm not. Tournaments really aren't my thing but she could still kick my butt if I did. I have friends who will be in it, too. They seem to like that kind of thing." Chuckling at that and humming a few bars under his breath to give Galesen some music to dance to if he was so inclined.
Satisfied with his promise, she pulled away from her beloved and went and plopped back down on the bed. "Are you in major trouble with your people? Do we need to hold a conference or something so they're assured of your love and their priority over me in your life?" Quirking an eyebrow. "I'll even meekly stand by your side and assure them that they come first and apologize for my outburst if that will help."
"Glynnic!" Running down the hall to find his son. "There's quite a buzz going on right now, but I can't get any definite answers. What happened?" Then glancing over at Lark. "Your name is on everyone's lips as well. If I didn't know any better, I'd say you two had just announced your engagement." Then his eyes widened. "You didn't, did you? If you did, your mother is going to kill you..."

“I honestly don’t know. Maybe no one will think anything of it and it will just blow over with no question about the matter. Lovers have tiffs all the time, even royal ones.” However his father had to go ruin his optimism with what seemed to be bad news indeed and the man was a tad worked up. “Then again…” Sighing and pinching the bridge of his nose. “Well…we didn’t announce that so she’s not going to kill me. We just had a bit of an argument in the streets and Lharkia questioned who was more important to me; her or the people. I sidestepped answering entirely and I suppose people talk too much…”

"You guys are no fun." A small chuckle to that, friends who fight against each other stay together. "Well then, if that's the way it is I'll just be glad to know that you guys will be watching as I fight in the tournament, should be fun this year around." Not like the last time, still he was willing to let bygones be bygones with what happened then. Though a blink as he looked at Kyst for a moment, should he dance again? It was fun to dance for awhile, so why not do it again? So with a small smile Galesen took off his katana and stood up, then began to dance again, time to actually enjoy something for once for the sake of enjoying something.

"Tournament isn't for everybody." Shrugging lightly, she could go or leave it each year, it wasn't a big deal to her like it was to some. "We'll make sure we bring lots of ice and such to make the pain go away after you're done brawling with the best." Swaying her head some to the bars that Kyst hummed while Galesen apparently decided to try his hand at dancing again without being pushed to do so.
