Psychedelic...

Mephlius lightly blushed. For one of the few times when talking to Amnity... he had absolutely no idea what to say. So he changed the subject. "Do you know how much money you just left cookie?"

((Actually, the movie is an hour from now. xd I have time.))

Amnity looked down at the money she had left on the table, then tilted her head to the side in confusion. "...I'm actually not sure.....Is it not enough?"

Psychedelic...

"That's... $150. That's... a lot. I mean... 20 would be... a really strong tip." Mephlius pointed out.

Amnity tilted her head the other way, trying hard to understand how the money system works in the country. How much is 150$ in euros?.... She checked her wallet, then frowned. "Uh....I don't have 20 with me..." Which made sense, for she usually carried c notes and 50s. She shrugged, closing her wallet before putting it in her back pocket. "It doesn't really matter...He could have all of it....Where should we go now?"

Psychedelic...

Mephlius thought for a second. "I don't know... I don't really care either way."

The first thing that came to Amnity's mind at that moment was training. And now that she had new lycan abilities, she was extremely eager to go sparring. "Why don't we go to the training room! I want to see if I can finally beat you, now that I leveled the playing field."

Psychedelic...

A shocked look struck Mephlius' face. He was... well, let's be honest here: He was scared as hell. She was good before. Now she was lycan. Even though he was scared, he was more eager than anything. "Let's go."

Amnity followed after him, the smile not disappearing from her face.

((Exit:Training room))

Cookie stepped out into the mess hall and began cleaning the table, collecting the plates left behind. He was whistling, but suddenly choked when he saw how much money the hunters left behind.

Kerrigan strolled into the Mess Hall, holding the door open for Raven as her eyes scanned the empty room. She could hear the noises from the kitchen as normal, even if there were a lack of patrons to partake in Cookie's soul food.

"So, this is the Mess Hall. Kitchen is back there. Cookie runs this outfit, so there is always plenty of down-home cooking waiting," she said with a smile as her guest entered the room. Almost on cue, Cookie poked his head from the back, the huntress' eyes making contact with him before either of them spoke. Clearing her throat after a silence that really only lasted a few second, but felt like an eternity, Kerri put on a smile, sweeping Raven forwards slightly, almost as if she was presenting him.

"Cookie, this is Alek, a new hunter. He said he needed a bite to eat, so I thought I'd bring him by for some of that Barbecue," she said, giving the large black man a genuine smile, her attempt to bury the hatchet, as the saying goes. Thankfully, her smile was returned, Cookie giving the new hunter a small wave.

"I think I can do that for ya. You kids go ahead and sit tight, I'll bring it out in a minute," he said, disappearing into the kitchen after a moment to make them a fresh batch. Turning to Raven, she placed one hand on her hip, the other hand pointing to the rows of empty tables.

"Well, want to try and find a seat? Looks pretty crowded," she said with a small chuckle, waiting for him to make a decision where to sit down. It was something she could honestly care less about.

Marcus looked around the place a bit as he carried a wry smile on his face, listening in silence as the femme fatale talked. The hunter's concentration was torn to a hundred different thoughts as he followed her in quietly into the cafeteria. The eating area was like that of a military Chow Hall that the dark haired man recalled from his time as a Staff Sargent's son. He couldn't help but chuckle at the comment to sit down.

"I don't know though...I mean, is this seat taken?" Marcus asked to the vampriess as he went and took a seat next to her, continuing to laugh a bit as he settled down. He studied the place for a bit before realizing something that she said to the cook.

"So who's Alek?" Glancing around the empty cafeteria for a moment to see if there was perhaps another in the room. "Er...unless I"m Alek in which case, I am?" His voice carried a curious tone as his face expressed an even more exaggerated look of confusion. "But hey, dear, if you want me to be an Alek. Hi, the name is Alek." His face then turned to one of mischief as he chuckled a bit and the woman a hand to shake.

"Oh, I recalled you mentioning folks knowing about the Underworld of society...when did this happen?" In the West Coast, the war between mortals and immortals were still under wraps. The police called it "gang wars", but we all knew the truth. But apparently things were different in New York and maybe it has all become exposed while he spent his time driving up here. Either way, this struck a curious nerve.

"I wonder if it's all out in the open in Cali. Heh, definitely make things interesting..." He mused, drifting in thought some what. But it wasn't long for him to gather back his wits to reality.

"So these Barbecue...they good?" He asked, quickly changing the subject.

Hoping that he hadn't noticed her little slip of the tongue, her cheeks flushed a soft shade of pink as she took a seat, bringing on hand up to cover her face as she let out a soft laugh. While she was glad he was taking it in good stride and wasn't offended or anything like that, she was sure she would never hear the end of this.

"Hey, you'll like whatever I call you," she said with a fanged grin, tossing her curls over her shoulder as he, thankfully, changed the subject to the recent mortal knowledge of the underworld. As their conversation turned more to business, something she was considerably more conversational about, she made eye contact with him once more clearing her throat to get rid of any remaining embarrassment.

"I'm not sure I know the whole story myself. I was kind of distracted then, but from what I can tell Mauser, a bane on the NYHG, leaked everything the Times needed to start a media frenzy. Let me tell you, it wasn't pretty. Don't get me wrong, we did what we could to use the media coverage to our advantage, but there were and still are, just too many untrained humans coming in here and trying to take matters into their own hands. I left town shortly after that, but not before being hunted by several humans who thought they could take my job." She tried to say the last part with a light tone, though it was clear that she was still bitter about the whole experience. Any time some rag tag group of humans runs around, saying that she had no right being a hunter because of her race, it instantly put her in a bad mood. Even though she was trying to keep these feelings from the new hunter, her facial features tightened as she momentarily disappeared down memory lane. Bringing her attention back to him as he asked about the barbecue, she smiled, giving an enthusiastic nod.

"Oh yea," she said with a small laugh, Cookie emerging a few moments later with two plates piled high with barbecue and potato salad. He set one in front of each of them, giving both hunters one of his classic smiles before setting a bottle of water by each of them, as well as a stack of napkins, which would surely be needed.

"Y'all eat up. You look like you could put some meat on your bones," he said with a laugh, turning and disappearing back into the kitchen almost as quickly as he appeared. Kerrigan looked at the plate of food before her, then to Raven, giving him a slight incline of her bottle of water before popping the lid off and taking a deep drink. She could drink something a little more...suitable, when she was in the privacy of her own room. The last thing she wanted was to weird out a potential new ally on her first day of meeting him.

"Dig in."

Marcus couldn't help but grin widely as the woman got embaressed and blushed. That was something very unique to him. A vampire blushing. Throughout his entire experience as a Hunter, never would he thought he would be having a late night dinner with his usual prey. If it wasn't for earlier and learning her undead secret, the dark haired man could of easily confuse her for a regular human girl. Joining her with his own laughter, he settled some as she began to fill him in on current events.

"Mauser, eh? Never heard of him, but he sounds like a douche." The man grumbled as he leaned back some, spotting the kind cook bringing a meal that reminded him of backyard cookouts. Unable to hold back a smile, Marcus gave the man a quiet nod as he studied the food with a hungrily stare.

"Man...this beats my dinner plan of power bar and tap water." Slipping his hands out from underneath the table, the man quickly took hold of a spoon and began digging in, his eating habits mimicking those of soldiers he remember watching eat in the chow halls at his father's military base. Though he tried to catch himself and eat slower, the hunger inside would kick in and another couple of bites would hastily go into his mouth.

He watched from the corner of his eyes as she went and drunk some water. This was something Marcus also didn't know. Vampires drunk water? From what he was taught, Vampire didn't need to drink, eat, or sleep...well, the occasional drinking of blood and sleep during the day, but that's it. Marcus couldn't help but let his smile grow stretch further. Perhaps he should hang out with vampires more often than staking and beheading them. Being with Kerrigan was like being with another human being.

"My God...this stuff is great." Marcus moaned as he leaned back, wiping neatly the gore of the barbecue from the corners of his lips and mouth. Despite his attempts though, the man kept feeling like he missed a spot on his face. He sighed as he placed the used napkin on the plate and leaned back some, glancing over to Kerrigan to study her for a moment longer.

"I know I said this earlier, but I'm sorry for shootin' you. Heh, probably seem like one of those pricks who huntcha all the time." He sighed as his smile faded as he crossed his arms over his chest. "I guess things here are a lot different than the West Coast. Heh, Just in case I stumble upon another incident and not shot another Hunter, how many other Hunters are...hmmm...special? Is Meredith special? She wouldn't happen to be a werewolf or something would she?" Marcus gave a weak smile, hinting the last part was a joke as he thought of how much different this place was to what he was doing for years.

"Mmm, you have no idea. We blew up his building once because he kidnapped one of our hunters, Lydia. Since he first came to this city, he has been nothing but trouble," she said through a bite of food, noticing his eyes studying her once in a while during their conversation. Considering the kind of company she usually kept - her fiance had been a lycan - she was used to people shoveling food in their mouths like this was the last meal they would ever have. Still, the sideways glances he shot her could only suggest one thing, something she was also used to in her time of being a vampire.

"Before you go getting all confused, I don't need it. 21years of eating and drinking is a hard habit to break. Not to mention, it makes me feel...normal, as stupid as that sounds," she said with a small grin, raising the bottle towards him in a mock toast before taking another drink, popping a rather large bite of food into her mouth. She still had some on her plate by the time he leaned back in his chair, wiping the remaining barbecue from his lips. There was still a small amount on the corner of his lip, though she had to resist the urge to take her napkin and reach out to take it off herself. Taking her own napkin, her eyes locked into his as she dabbed her own lip where the sauce would be, even if there was nothing there. Hopefully he would get the hint.

"You can just stop apologizing. Like I said, it's in the past. I'm more impressed that you managed to follow me, let alone land two shots," she said with a small wink, sitting back in her own chair since she was full anyways. His question as to how many other hunters were of a different race braught a look of concentration to her features. She had to fess up and say she really wasn't sure - she didn't know how many other hunters she would know from the old days. However, as he mentioned Meridith, she laughed slightly.

"Actually, last I heard she was a lycan. But I haven't seen her since I got back, so that remains to be confirmed." Kerrigan chuckled slightly, giving him a playful wink as she studied his reaction. She had no doubts that he would get used to everything, but it was a little comical to her how different everything was here than what he was used to - things here were just how she always knew them. She never thought about how hunting would be different in other parts of the country.

Marcus raised a brow and chuckle at the comment about the Mauser guy and his home being destroyed by the NYHG. "Wow. And I thought my first day presenting myself to you guys was bad by shooting you...he goes out and kidnaps ya." A whistle escaped him as he too adjusted himself to sit fully back to relax a bit.

"I see...and with you saying that, gotta ask...can you read minds?" He then questioned after the comment about eating. Though he tried his hardest to not seem interested and check her out like a new species, his awe was a tad hard to hide. She was, after all, the first vampire he has ever had a calm and enjoyable time with. "But either way, you look normal enough. I mean...other than your walk and pasty skin, no offense." He then continued as he shrugged at the thought, never pondering on how turning into a legion of the dead would truly alter your living habits.

"Blah." The man then became aware at the hint she was giving with her napkin. He had obviously missed a spot. Reaching for his already used napkin, the man hastily went to make another sweep around his mouth, hopefully getting the hidden stain on his face. "Sorry. Thought I got it all." He chuckled, feeling even more comfortable around the woman.

"As for skills...eh." The dark haired hunter gave a shrug. "You still knew I was following you. As for the two shots...well, they didn't really matter seeing how you still got to put one in me." He then broke into a laughter as the thought of his shoulder brought a reminder of the hurt he felt with that bullet piercing his flesh.

But his laughter didn't stop. When Huntress told him that Meridith was a werewolf, well, Marcus couldn't stop. Things were definitely different here. On the outside of the California, CA would appear to be an open minded place with very liberal views. But apparently in Hunting though, The largest state in the US was very narrow minded. Anything non-human was considered a threat according to the West Coast Hunters. There was no if, ands, or buts about it. Good thing though Marcus is known for his open mindedness or his stay in New York would of indeed been very interesting.

"So the leader of this outfit is a lycan? Now I'm definitely in a new ball field." He mused, slowly winding down. Tonight has been a very enlightening and sobering moment for the dark haired hunter. Letting out a sigh, the man glanced around the empty cafeteria once more and gave a nod of his head.

"I'm guessing everyone is out hunting, eh? What about you? What do you do? Heh, here I am ranting about this place, when I've got this wonderful company here. So tell me, where you out on some prey or something? Can you go incognito amongst the vampire race? Heh, I'm sure there's a lot of benefits of being one of the Undead...I know I've thought about it sometimes..." The Hunter mused, his hand unconsciously touching his wounded shoulder. As soon as he was beginning to drift though, the man snapped out of it and smiled. "Then again, I'm sure it's not all fast healing and super strength, eh?"
