In Serena's opinion, this would be much easier with an opponent to attack, as she had found to be true during the recent war. Or a tree..just an object of some sort for her to hit. Since air is not exactly solid, the Raiken could not use full force, and was forced to control every single move she made.

The genin made a one hundred and eighty degree turn by pivoting from the stance she had been in and made a slash downwards again. She then immediately pushed the staff forwards, a move similar to a stab, and then pulled the staff back towards herself. "Let's see here...a few more I could show you, I guess.." Serena stepped back into a normal stance and breathed for a moment, though she wasn't actually tired. It felt funny, showing someone else some of the things she could do with her staff. She usually practiced alone, and was able to just play around and learn stuff how she liked.

{Really? heh..}

At the same time, Serena felt good, showing Sukotto her staff techniques. It would be a good opportunity for her to improve herself with the Raiken staff, something that she almost never had the time to do. Hopefully, he would be able to help her clean up some of those moves that the had learned a while back. "Hah!" Another swing downward. But instead of swinging to the side, the Raiken pulled her staff back far back, as if to attack and opponent from behind, and then turned and made an upwards swing, pulling her entire upper body and arms up to release some power.

{Well eff. I really did break the dice.}

Ahh. It must be because there was someone watching her. Serena felt like she couldn't think of anything to show the chuunin on the spot. It wasn't really pressure or anything...just the idea that someone wanted to watch how she practiced. Even though she felt a little off, it would be alright. The staff actually seemed a lot easier to handle today that it used to for some reason. Maybe it was because she hadn't practiced with it in a good while? She didn't know, but it really felt good to cope with and lightweight. There was a downside to that, too, though. Because it didn't feel like the norm, she would have to be extra careful in her moves and actions with the Raiken staff.

The youth adjusted his palms until he heard a distinct ‘Hah’ not so far. His pupils turned away from his fingers to the source of the noise. The Raiken girl seemed to be practicing with a staff. The other girl also seemed to be dealing with her hiccups in another direction. Both at their own training. Shisei was not sure what the female in skimpy clothing was training in, but sly smile was evident. This was the second staff user he had seen. The other… his memory failed to remember at the moment, but that type of weapon seemed to be advantageous. Its length and range could always be a hindrance when trying to gain in close quarters combat. Although it was curious as to why the tall girl had a staff. It didn’t seem like her forte. Then again the serpent youth knew nothing of Serena. Maybe it was something she always had and trained with? Also then what was the other female’s weapon, if she had one? The topic was slightly curious, but not enough to keep the scaly kid’s attention. For now he’d go back to either his training or the brainstorm that did not want to disappear in his head.

The Uchiha nodded as he listened to Serena and watched her demonstrate various melee techniques with her staff. He had a feeling that she would sell her skill short, and that performing in front of him would cause her to mess up a little more often than she normally had. The important thing was to get her comfortable in front of a group of people. The fact that she was modest was a very good thing, so long as she was confident in herself. "You're doing well, Serena. Try to not be so tense when you're moving, it will tire you out quite quickly and make your attacks less accurate and even less powerful to some degree. If you aren't doing so already, try to imagine invisible opponents attacking you from all sorts of different angles to assist your movements and strikes." Sukotto turned his gaze from the Raiken to the Uchiha, who had already completed the more challenging balancing training and an additional training that she had come up with. "Well done, Senritsu. Now how about you practice the hand seals for your various jutsu? Try to form them as quickly as you can without messing up." The chuunin then looked over at the serpent youth who seemed to be fairly concentrated, nearly too concentrated for a simple exercise. Sukotto figured that the youth had other things on his mind, which reminded him of how he trained himself; always thinking too deeply about other matters that interfered with training. While it was a distraction, Sukotto felt as though it wasn't exactly an unhealthy thing to do, merely part of the boy's personality. "Your long sleeves seem to be working quite well for you, Shisei. I imagine that you've already thought of it, but they will work quite well for concealing weapons if you choose to take that route with your training. I understand that your mind is probably wandering and that explains the serious expression on your face, but try to relax it a little, as your facial expression will say a lot about your jutsu to the most perceptive of your opponents."

Since he had spoken to his squad a little more, Sukotto was able to take some time to think about the jutsu that he had under construction a little more. It was likely that it would be more effective if it required some sort of formation to execute. If the three elemental users were staggered in distances that weren't nearly equal, then one of the elements could dominate the others, or one would be so weak that it would merely be canceled out. Thankfully, since the jutsu only required three members, the solution seemed quite obvious to Sukotto: A formation that took the form of a triangle. If the lightning and fire users were positioned in front of the wind user facing the opponent, then they all would merely have to aim their jutsu at the opponent. The gust of wind would shoot through the middle and hit the fire and lightning right before they collided, and the opposite momentum that each of the plasma elements would have from being launched in different directions would create the spinning that Sukotto had hoped for. He figured that it would work best if one of the two fire and lightning users aimed high, and the other aimed low, so that the jutsu didn't merely slam into itself. They would pass over each other and be sucked together by the wind vortex, forming the exact jutsu that Sukotto had imagined.

"Oh..thanks for the help Serena smiled, glad that she was getting some advice to improve her practice. She loved it when people told her new ways to improve. Even though she occasionally gets upset at some of the advice she gets, most of the time, the Raiken takes it as a learning experience to improve herself. She took in deep breaths and tried to loosen herself up--become more relaxed--like Sukotto had said. "Now..think--what was it that I did in that routine?'

Serena stood in a ready position and planned out what she was going to do next. Then, she went through with it, imagining an opponent in front of her. A step out, and then a kick as she punched the staff forward. Next, she stepped and turned towards the other side and swung the staff from the side. "An enemy from the front...annd one from the back."

The chuunin felt as though he was only one small step away from finally completing the team-based ninjutsu that he had been designing. He figured that the training for the jutsu would have to be similar as well as different for the various shinobi learning it, as each role varied slightly from the rest. The shinobi would most likely begin with a similar exercise, probably some sort of elemental training that was more focused on learning about their respective element and powering it up. They would then branch off into different styles of training which would assist them in learning their respective roll. The wind user would obviously need some sort of tough control exercise, while the fire and lightning users would be slightly more similar, but still have their own differences, as each of the elements brought something different to the table. Sukotto figured that they would need one more exercise that was similar after that, perhaps working on some sort of advanced teamwork task. Finally, the trio of shinobi would have to successfully pull off the jutsu a few times, hitting and destroying a specified target to prove the technique's accuracy and effectiveness, while improving on the team's individual strength as well as their concepts of teamwork.

{To be Edited--Sorry, I'll do it tomorrow! This post won't interact with the other charactsrs so it's good.}

This show of staff moves for Sukotto was taking a bit longer than Serena had expected it was going to be. She found it a bit difficult to think of anything at the moment--it was a mindblock. The Raiken always hated those..they came at the most crucial moments or when she really needed to remember things. She made a couple of attempts to begin a different move, maybe twirling the staff, a side attack, or something, but she just couldn't find the feel for it yet. An off day, you could say. But she was doing quite well a second ago...if she could just get into that kind of state again.

Serena took in deep breaths and relaxed more. She tried to put a situation before her, as if opponents were on every side of her. How would she attack? What would her strategy be? If she could make it seem real, she was sure this would go by much easier than it had been.

Sukotto smiled as Serena clearly relaxed and was able to perform with her staff quite well. It wouldn't take much to get the girl quite proficient with it, and the Uchiha intended on helping to guide her in that direction eventually. She seemed to get a little carried away with her next attempt, however, but it was definitely forgivable, as a success as impressive as the most previous triumph of hers probably excited her a little. "Very good, now just treat that staff as if it were merely a durable extension of your arms instead of a separate object." The Uchiha looked over his squad and wondered what sort of hidden potential lied within each of them. He would work very hard to speed up the release and increase that raw potential, and hopefully help to turn them all into fine shinobi that would make Shimagakure proud. Sukotto would remember the various methods that had been used by others to train him, and improve upon those methods so that the three shinobi under his command would eventually surpass his own power, and someday lead squads of their own. He hoped that they would also strive to make their teams more powerful than themselves, and this chain of events would aid in maintaining the village of Shimagakure for a long time.

After the moment spent thinking about the future of himself and his squad, Sukotto set back to the technique that seemed to still lack one small part before its design had been finished. The Uchiha had summarized all of the elements and their various roles within the jutsu. He had also listed what the technique would require of the shinobi who would attempt to use it. In addition, Sukotto had laid out a formation that would successfully work for the jutsu's execution. He had even went as far as to worry about the order that the various elements would be added to the jutsu. Still though, something more was required for it to be finished. The Uchiha searched his mind for the missing piece of the puzzle that was the squad based jutsu that would effectively boost the power of shinobi when faced against a more than capable adversary. Of course, the technique would need some sort of call sign for its execution. What this meant is that since it so heavily relied on the multiple shinobi that were present while using it, it would be useless if even one of the shinobi didn't understand what was going in. At least one of the members needed to quickly suggest the technique to the others without giving the enemy a hint about what was going on so that they couldn't defend against it or disrupt it. The Uchiha figured that this area was the missing link in his technique creation and felt as though it could possibly be the weakest point in the jutsu itself, a weakness that would need to be fixed for the technique to work for the team properly.

Shisei only turned to the senior shinobi with a deadpan expression. “This is how my face always looks. Sorry if I don’t have more ‘colorful’ expressions like the rest of the team.” the serpent youth stated sarcastically and then turned back away to finish up his training. So what about his expression? All a enemy would know was that the ivory skinned boy was not one to mess with. All those other emotional expressions were useless to the dread head. That was one of the few things that Shisei had in common with the Hyuuga. Most of the members, especially the senior and elder jounin seemed to only have two expressions. Their normal face and a face in pain. Shisei was about the same. It was an interesting contrast between that clan and Shima. As Shimagakure had an abundant of emotional and expressing characters. They all probably had one facial expression for every day of the month. And as for Kanami, the diva of glamor. It would not surprise Shisei if she had a facial appearance for every day of the year. She was just that type of person which really clashed with the serpent’s youth straight-faced nature. With a disapproving shake of his head the boy adjusted his sleeves to their maximum length before returning to work on the hand sign

Senritsu sat and watched as Serena moved herself around, practicing what she knew with that staff of her’s. The ever-watching Uchiha kept her bright florescent eyes on the opposite female’s body as she moved, taking in her physical abilities in any way possible. Serena turned around until she was completely the opposite way she had been facing before, slicing downwards with the staff she held. Pushing forwards in a stabbing motion, and finally pulling the staff back towards her. For some reason it almost felt as though Serena had not yet had any extensive training with this staff of her’s. But, that could just be because she didn’t know what to do being asked to show what she knew out of the blue by Sukotto, either that or there was just not very much to do with such a weapon. It wasn’t like a sword, with pre-made wielding techniques to be trained in. Senritsu couldn’t help but keep her eyes attached to the budding woman’s body as she continued on.

Another loud explosion of sound came from the air ways of the Raiken, causing Senritsu’s head to gently tilt to the side, analyzing and taking in the girl’s actions. She knew the sound was used to release more energy. Well, not technically the ‘sound’ as the release of air. Sort of how a balloon releases air, breathing out would release energy. Her eyes switched from the Raiken, quickly to the male Uchiha, before switching to the snake child, and back to the girl. The way she was acting seemed to show a slight hesitation, slightly uncomfortable, but not too much. Perhaps she was one of those people who had stage fright? After all, she had two people who were very good at watching, staring at her. Not only just watching, but giving her a bar to reach. The Uchiha were very good at analyzing what they were seeing, although most would need their Sharingan to do so, Senritsu was rather good on raw talent. But that would be something she’d need to change soon. Talent should never be used for an extended period of time. Sooner or later, that talent shall slip from your grasp.

The tiny framed female’s attention was then changed to the person who seemed to think just the opposite. Her eye brows furrowed slightly as he quickly checked over Serena and herself before returning his attention to what he was doing. Just then Sukotto’s voice rang clear in the open area, forcing her eyes to zero in on him. He was addressing Serena on how to better herself at what she was doing. Perhaps it would be enough to get her through that little rut she was having at the moment. Then, he turned his attention to Senritsu, causing her to sit up a bit straighter for some odd reason. When he was done giving her something to do, she merely raised her arm, giving him a thumbs up with the normal blank expression she wore. “Deal.” And, although she was given something to do, it was quite a bit before she would actually do what she was instructed to. She’d finish watching what everyone else was doing first.

Sukotto changed his attention from herself to Shisei, complimenting him on what was really getting on her nerves. A slight smile entered her face as he mentioned the boy’s facial expression revealing what he would plan to do. She cold only tempt herself into trying to figure out what the boy was doing under his sleeves just to see if she’d be able to. She knew they were Hand Signs, but as to what his hands looked like beneath the cloth was another story. Closing her eyes for a moment before reopening them, they took a look back at Sukotto and Serena. Sukotto seemed to continue to have something on his mind while Serena merely continued on with the training. His advice seemed to do her good. A moment or two after that, he seemed to look a little satisfied with himself. Perhaps he had finished thinking whatever it was that was on his mind. Yawning, Senritsu decided it was probably time to finish what she’d been given and she looked down at her hands.

What should she work on first though? There were multiple Hand Signs. Twelve to be exact. If she worked on it long enough she could get them all done pretty quickly. For now doing four quickly would be enough. She didn’t really feel like doing any of the signs from the Jutsu she knew, so she figured just practicing them all would be good. Slipping her fingers together easily in a slightly odd manner, Ox was completely. Quickly shifting her hands closed and pressing her palms together downwards, Boar was done as well. And, swiftly letting her hands slip upwards, Ram was completed. Lastly, linking her knuckles together with her pointer fingers upwards, touching at the tips, Horse was done. Well, that was simple enough. Though going through and doing it a bit quicker would do her some good.

Senritsu quickly went through the hand signs she’d done before, a bit more speed to it this time. Ox, Boar, Ram, Horse. Thinking for a moment, she decided on the next few Hand Seals. Letting her hands slide intimately against each other, Monkey was completed rather easily. Rat looked somewhat like Ram, just the height of the hands were reversed, and one of the hands wrapped all four fingers around the opposite hand’s two instead of just two fingers wrapping around it. Then came dragon, pretty simple in it’s design, Senritsu laced her fingers together, facing her tiny knuckles outward while her pinkies pointed downwards. A smile graced her lips slightly as she seemed to be satisfied with her memorization of the Hand Seals she’d only come across once before. Most of which she never used afterwards. Last in this continuation of four hand seals was Serpent. This basically looked as though you were begging for something. She preferred it more than the others seeing as how it was all too easy to accomplish. But Rat and Tiger had their effect on her likes as well. For some reason those three particular hand seals drew on her more than any others. Perhaps the next time she went through a chakra exercise she could use them to her advantage? With the last of the four completed, it was time to add a bit more speed.

Moving her slender fingers gracefully against each other, the hand seals she’d completed before were all finished within simple seconds. Ox, to Boar, to Ram, to Horse, to Monkey, to Rat, to Dragon, to Serpent. All completed rather easily in her own opinion. Next would be the last four. Bird, Hare, Tiger, and Dog. Bird got on the girl’s nerves, it caused her to go a bit slower than normal since she had to have her fingers in the exact position for it to be correct. Then, her pinkie slipped into the crease of her thumb and forefinger to complete Hare. Then, Tiger, the Hand Seal that she favored more than most. It was one of the simple ones in all twelve hand signs. Then, lastly, Dog. Closing one fist, and covering it with her opposite hand, it was done. Now, Senritsu just need to get all twelve up to speed. Which in essence would be rather fast if she did all of them without mistakes.Sadly, when she attempted to go through the first few hand signs, she stumbled over the order and skipped the sign of the Monkey. With a slight pout of her lips, Senritsu restarted, going back to the first and trying to keep the signs in the order she had originally done them all in.
