*Apollo noted the clown and the man underneath and was not please, especially with his wife now not at his side. It had been Than who had first persuaded his bride to make her escape the first time, leaving him like a fool at the alter, to say the least he was an unwanted pest. Kaiori on the other hand would not note Than's presence as she was set on finding Teg. Finally seeing him she storms up to him, a flurry of red silk that licks out from her hips like flames. She grabs Teg by the collar of his shirt with her red painted nails and proceeds to drag him into one of the small curtained off areas filled with golden pillows and a small light hanging from the center of the tent like curtains. Her eyes were dangerously angry but she tried not to make a scene until they could have some privacy.*

After making his presence and humor known among a few of the guests, Thanatos dared to make a more acute observation of who was in attendance. By the look of it, all the worst parties to put in the same room together. For the most part he took note of the obvious, Kaiori's party and Tegral's group. There were also some others of note, mainly Breg and the Count, both who seemed less of a threat than the others. Breg in fact was unknown to Thanatos, since Than had never the opportunity to meet the man while he was part of the BC. Regardless, the two did have common connections.

But of course Apollo was the most interesting attendee. Than hadn't dared to believe Apollo would even attend until he'd come to the ball himself to confirm it. But it was true; the now king was present and in all likelihood was aware of the presence of his former murderer. Oh how wonderful the attendance of Griffin and Bell's return party was turning out to be.

But to believe he would encounter Tegral and Apollo in the same place, and here Kaiori was chasing after the former for whatever reason. Than began thinking of alterations to his original plan in coming here, to which Apollo was quite important. Indeed, perhaps there was a way he could present himself such that two of his enemies might be adverse to eachother in a way that was beneficial. Instead of being a thorne in their sides, he could impale them both with manipulation and humiliation. Poor Griffin, thought Thanatos to himself, that he would invariably become so intimately acquainted with the burdens of his parents' past. He could only blame it on the misfortune of Griffin's birth.

Thanatos the clown now dared to 'entertain' one of the other parties in attendance. The unfortunate target of Than's mimicry and ridicule was none other than the monstrously tall Rookin. The clown stood side to side with Rookin, of course not touching, and Than replicated Rookin's posture with the intent of making him look silly. Holding Rookin's pose for a few moments, Than would then chance to mock his height, standing on his tip toes and making the two more similar in height, to the amusement of a few who were watching the peculiar clown. Most of all, Thanatos was taking advantage of Rookin's patience and restraint, making him put up with the ridicule. Now Than could only wonder if his partner would be as restrained if she saw how Thanatos was provoking Rookin.

Breg bows to Apollo and then to Kaiori as she leaves and passes him.

With your permission, I will take my leave your majisty.

Breg walks away for apollo and makes his way back trough crowd. It dosn't take him long to notice the clown. Obviously there are a few big players here. Of course there are the King and Queen. He learned from the other guests that Apollo can be a dangerous man to deal with but he knows Kaiori and she is the one Breg is more wary of. Tegral rubs him the wrong way, seams like a pompus blow hard but then again he also seams to be able to back up his bravado, plus he has his 2 partners that Breg knows nothing about. The clown, obviously not hired for the party. Breg could sence there was a lot of power with him. He isn't here just for the entertainment.

Thats the wild card here.

Breg makes his way past a bar and picks up 2 drinks then continues on to the clowns show. Breg wanted to get a chance to talk to him but even more he wanted to see what Tegral's friends were going to do.

Rookin stood like an impassive mountain to Thanatos' mockeries, after all what were the workings of these people to him? Patience was a virtue, one that if obtained would allow one to weather any problem placed before them and always emerge stronger because of it. Such was the wisdom imparted to Rookin since he could remember dawning his armor for the first time, and it was precisely that wisdom that allowed him to stand Thanatos' jips and jives about his height and personality. Some would say Rookin was an attention whore, intentionally placing himself at a distance from everyone else in a vain attempt to garner pitty and curiosity...but this was pretty evident it wasn't the case in the least.

"Calm down, Kah." Rookin sent to the Special Ops unit via their encrypted command channel, who stood like a sweltering furnace of hatred.

Unlike Rookin, who's patience would outlast time itself, Kah was very prone to emotional and 'fly-by-the-seat-of-her-pants' responses. Those features, when singled, made Kah a very dangerous opponent as her tactics and patterns shifted wildly though never losing sight of her goal. Coupled with Rookin's patience the pair were almost perfect.

"This pompus little wretch! Thinks just because his daddy hid behind his little bubble for so long that he can just waltz up here and -"

"Enough! Now!" Tegral's interjection cut Kah short. "Kah, remove yourself, now."

Without a word Kah glared at Thanatos once more, gave him a silent promise of pain and suffering, then turned and proceeded away. No one there, save those who knew Tegral and his unit's workings, would have been able to discern why Kah had just abruptly turned and walked away, but chances are Than knew why the Special Operative had just stormed away with a bee in her panties.

Tegral, at Kaiori's mercy, followed as appropriately as he could given the fact he was literally being dragged across the ball room. "A simple 'Hello' would have sufficed." Tegral cracked, with a smile, as the entered the curtained off area.

*Kaiori wouldn’t acknowledge him until the curtains were safely closed. Turning on him Kaiori shoves him, hard, in the chest. Her eyes full of an unspoken hatred.* What were you doing? Are you trying to piss him off?!! It may surprise you but he doesn’t really take kindly to such rude treatment! *Kaiori would be panting by the end of her speech, completely flustered.*

While Kah was exhibiting emotions that Than would only do all to well in mocking, he was rather grateful for Rookin's ability to take some simple jesting and mimicry. Than guessed that this was why Rookin himself was such a high officer in Tegral's ensemble and also the same reason Rookin was also shy of being an admiral himself, taking to such treatment with distance. Then again, the title admiral was so totally unfitting to Tegral that Than didn't even give it a second thought. After but a minute or two of belittling the giant, Than would pat Rookin once on the shoulder with his right arm and be off, leaving Rookin to suffer the indignation no more.

Now Than moved toward a more appreciably ridiculous crow. He came up to the barside where some people had chosen to indulge in drinking alcohol. At first, Than would sit on a stool charading that he was ordering a drink. But a moment later, he had grabbed someone's empty bottle and held it in one hand, leaning over the counter pretending to drown his sorrows, which was odd when wearing a smiling clown mask. To complete the image, he let go of the bottle and fell out of his seat onto the floor in true hammered fashion.

Tegral inched back a step at the shove, arms shrugging as she berated him. Kaiori was an interesting subject; on the one hand she frequently cheats on her 'husband' finding the touch of other men preferable to that of the clawed embrace of her eternal partner, and yet here she was ready to rip his head off for being rude to Apollo. Rolling his eyes Tegral folded his arms across his chest, "Maybe I was," He responded to her obviously rhetorical question on whether or not he was trying to piss Apollo off. "Besides it's not like he'd be able to do anything."

Taking the retreated step back, Tegral's height easily allowing him to tower over Kaiori, he looked down with his icy blue eyes and felt himself slipping back into his old mind set. "Let him try what he would, I would destroy him without breaking stride, Kaiori. Why you're afraid of him I'd never know, the weapons I gave you would easily end his miserable existent."

Well Rome wasn't built in a day and Tegral certainly wasn't going to change over night. If pushed he'd push back...it just so happens that his pushes tend to have a couple kilo-tons worth of explosions behind them. "And why are you getting so irritated anyways?"

*Kaiori turns away from him sharply to avoid looking so small beside him, looking back at him slightly she slowly seems to calm herself. * It may surprise you but our violent relationship is very much controlled. He sleeps around with his whores and I find my own company. *She advances on him and pinches his cheek.* But he doesn't bring his whores to open events that are to welcome his children home, and I don't show him who I'd rather spend my time with as not to anger him. He is my husband, I am his wife. If you open a challenge it won't end well for you, mostly because even if you kick his a** it doesn't change our vows, so technically he could still drag me back to his castle beat me into a pulp but keep me alive enough to do my duties. *She shrugs moving away from him again.* But if you don't care about me that much I guess there isn't anything to stop you from causing a fuss but if you didn't care I don't understand why you would.

Tegral's eyes held their firm look, the plasti-flesh of his face turning an irritated red at the location of the pinch and sent a signal to his face informing him his face was being hurt, and looked all the world like a jealous ex-boyfriend. "Key word in there, Kaiori, you have a 'violent' relationship." Something resembling a growl spawned inside Tegral's throat, "You don't deserve to be smacked around like some worthless hooker picked up on the street, you deserve better than that and so do Bell and Griffin." Making sure to keep his voice leveled, so as to not draw attention to the pair behind the curtains despite his desire to march out right now and slice a hole through Apollo's head with a blast from his plasma cannon; man he really loved that gun.

Uncrossing his arms and swatting at an invisible fly in front of his face Tegral strode to one of the pillows and flopped in it, head shaking slightly. He looked almost human. A bone weary, at the end of his rope and too damn stubborn to give up, human who was of two minds on the whole fiasco. "The other present I gave you, Kairoi, were a pair of guns you actually requested built for you a long, long, time ago. Well, technically you only asked for one, but you seem of the sort to duel wield high caliber weapons, so I made you two." Closing his eye and leaning his head back, one hand rubbing at the bridge of his nose, "The guns are designed to pull energy from you and your opponent place them in a sort of celestial fusion chamber and hold it there until the energy hits the right levels to be expelled in a projectile form." Of course Tegral didn't get into the technicalities of the weapons, the things were complex as all hell! Though it was pretty much the idea of how they worked, with the exception that once the 'celestial particles' were fused together they were run through a miniature particle accelerator that wound the length of the barrel providing just enough energy to actually flip the polarity of the original celestial energy and provide the 'anti' of which ever class she was fighting, whether it be holy or any sort of branch off from that or unholy...like her demon husband.

"In other words one gun kills angels the other kills demons by, literally, using their own energy to create a form of energy that is surely lethal to their physical and spiritual body." Lurching his head forward he found Kaiori with his eyes again and watched her, and her reaction. The gifts hadn't really been planned for this, they'd been made as a simple gesture of kindness and a sort of bribe to let him build his up coming home in the Silent Forest; and if it got him in her pants all the better. The fact he was implying she kill her husband wasn't quite on the head either, he was simply offering her an escape from his abuse if he tried anything, after all one should never stand idly by knowing a woman was being beaten and treated with such inhumanity.

Phia appeared from the shadows on the arm of her lover, Xol with a smile on her crimson lips. Her hair was over one shoulder in a series of curls and among the onyx strands, tiny diamond stars were nestled like a night sky. She glanced around, her pointed ear picking up the voices behind the curtains which she identified as Kaiori and another whom she didn't know but she decided against listening in and looked to her love with a smile.

"Drinks?" She suggested.

Breg had been watching the clown but was drawn in to a conversation by a very attractive woman, now all he could think about is what a good time he was having at the ball. She introduced her self as V, when he asked for her real name she said that it was a masquerade for a reason. Following her lead he introduced himself as B. She introduced him to her friends, all men in different color variations of the same mask, 5 in total. All 5 men would refer to each other only by the color of their mask.

*Kaiori had never opened her second gift, since unlike with Apollo with Teg Kaiori was usually more interested in the person than the gifts. Sighing softly she joins him on the pillows, looking very relaxed for someone in such a tight fitting gown. She seems enthralled by the idea of the guns and itching to go home and try them out,* Thank you, I had almost forgotten to open them. For the record he may be controlling but Apollo doesn't treat me like a whore, not considering his culture and the way he was raised. Women of the tribe are supposed to be submissive, I'm just not very good at it.

Oh really, couldn't Apollo do anything right, Than wondered to himself. Not only had he actually allowed Teg to waltz in without even making so much as a suggestion to leave, but even Xol was allowed to waltz in now. Were these public gatherings really such a restriction? Such a glaring weakness to be exploited, if Than really cared to be subtle.

There was another thing that crossed Than's mind at the moment though. Xol had shown up with Phia, so his inclinations regarding who Xol's lover was likely to be seemed true. However, although it was condemning, Than wasn't going to presuppose the closeness of their relationship just yet. He would observe them, if he had the chance. However, he'd wasted enough time entertaining and mocking the guests at this ball, and his goal would only get more difficult if he left initial attempts until Griffin and Bell arrived. The pretendedly drunken clown rolled on his side across the floor for several feet before he rose upright.

Now it was time to decide how to best approach this king man-woman. Should he simply trot up, dressed as a clown himself, and speak quietly. No, the proud idiot would probably feel enraged to be seen conversing with someone in such attire. Thanatos had no mastery of telepathy to make that contact either. Then again, perhaps it wasn't even worth mentioning Apollo's distaste. Would he not already be infuriated at hearing the voice of his ex-murderer? To be honest, Thanatos had no idea of the humiliation Apollo felt at his having given Kaiori the incentive to escape during his more innocent days. But regardless, indeed, Apollo's hatred seemed assured. Thus, the only choice was to open the line directly. Scooting across the room, Thanatos would seek out a fold up chair to use and no small time later had carried it to the back of the room, in the corner that happened to be nearest Apollo. He cared not if Apollo took notice, and sat down in the chair, pretending to be worn out and resting.

"My sincerest compliments on your livelihood, your highness." Thanatos's voice would be such that only the most acute in the room could hear it, and he was close enough for Apollo to distinguish the deeper tone that Than now had, after being several years away from Apollo. "I must own, I was surprised when I found out how quickly you had been restored to health. I should hope you will leave here tonight no worse for wear." The tone was flat, leaving the connotation open to anyone's best guess. Half disinterested in how neutral he'd chosen to make his greetings, Than was careful to observe if any of the others in the room might have already taken note that he was adressing the king. He was confident Apollo would take care to respond quietly, if at all, lest he be seen conversing seriously with a clown.

"Hm, drinks... yes. What would you like my dear?" He spoke to her without looking at her because his eyes were currently zipping from face to face in the crowd of party goers. Everyone was a potentional threat. Not that it worried him in the least, he just didn't want to be kicked out of another party. So staying away from those certain individuals which might cause tempers to flare would be the smartest choice for tonights affairs. Blasted tux... it was very uncomfortable. However, he was dead sexy in it. Then again he did always hold himself in high regard.

Xol grinned and looked to Phia with an afectionate gaze, letting her know his full attention was on her.

After some time with finding the place in this unknown region to her, she finally came to the sight. Stepping out of her shadows, she took steps that still puffed with mist as she made her way up to the main doors. She was a bit nervous for being here. not remembering who she was, the first few people she met wanted to kill her, She owns and lived in a Tower with creations that only a twisted mind can create.

She held her invitation tightly in her hands. Wearing a White and gold evening gown, that only parted slightly by her right knee. her Hair was pulled up in a series of fountion like curls, of Blonde. She held a golden mask in her hand that had a rim of cuban zerconias lining the egdes giving it a glam.

She stood near the entrance as her heart raced, pondering if she really wanted to enter and met the truth about her.
