Rough hands hefted the poor elf up and he winced dramatically. His black hair flew up and around his face, blocking his vision as the S.W.A.T team manhandled the small group back down the twenty flights of stairs they had come up earlier. Z'Kort hissed as one of the men shoved him with the butt of one of the shotguns.

"Please! I am a delicate person," he cried, looking for all the world like a normal citizen being harassed by bad police. "I bruise easily and if people see a bruise, I can sue tha s**t outta you!" Kort fell back into his usual garbled street talk and shook of his holders, hands cuffed behind his back. What were the cuffs for? It wasn't like he could have escaped with all these guns pointed at him anyway.

As the un-wounded, most agile of the group, he was shoved to the front of the pack, a score of S.W.A.T'ers in front of him and behind the whole group with smatterings of people in between. The speedster walked easily down the stairs, occassionally glancing back at his comrades. He wondered if he could charm the people before him? There weren't that many afterall. He also worried if the authorities would be able to carry Arkus all the way down. The man WAS a minotaur and he WAS rather heavy and there WERE twenty flights of stairs total.

Z'Kort shrugged and turned back to the the expanse of black backs before him. They were professional grade, that was a fact. None of them conversed with eachother jovially, all concentrating on the task at hand. Well, of course they would be, they're here to stomp out a terrorist uprising, he thought, bemused. Interesting how this all turned out. The elf didn't mind, he might as well have been a terrorist.

Gasping sharply as she as well was hand-cuffed and hoisted to her feet, Zani let out a moan of pain between clenched teeth as they shoved her along. Her white hair was stringy and messy from being wet and drying slowly, and her clothes were beginning to wrinkle as well. Not caring in the least how she looked at the moment, Zaniah began to mutter undecipherable threats under her breath in her native tongue as the bullet grated against muscle and nerves inside of her with every step she took. Then they had lifted her up, and she bit back a sharp remark as they padded down the hallways.

"What, are there no elevators?" She voiced about as they headed down the stair-way. She hoped they would find one eventually, because otherwise this would be a long trip for all of them.

One of the S.W.A.T. members responded. "When the fire alarm goes off the elevators automatically shut down. Precautions."The group was led down and out of the building. They wouldn't be charmed again. At least it wouldn't help. Since they had put down their visors, Kort would charm himself as well as his opponents. Though not all of them would be charmed in the first place...

The group would be led down to the truck and tossed in. They would be driven to the station and forcefully put in prison. Then one by one they would have their wounds looked at and taken care of, under a number of guns of course. They would then be kept there to wait.

Hybrid watched this all and had papers out before him in his hidden room. His eyes scanning each. He looked along each paper and then nodded. This would have to happen. They were on the news now. It had been covered as they were leaving the building. Not much they were able to do about all those cameras and such. They were known...and infamous. Not exactly what they had in mind, but they were known now...and he would help them.

The hours passed in a large blur. Most of it, Na'fiel didn't may too much attention to. They were uncerimoniously tossed into a truck and led down to the station. There, a couple of doctors took care of their many wounds. A bandage was wrapped around the mermaid's hip as well as her arm, removing the cloth that Kort had put there earlier.

Once they were shut in the cell, Na'fiel sat against the wall, thinking. After the fight, the rest of the day had been...uneventful. Well, save for the S.W.A.T. team. She'd never been arrested before, being able to avoid the police most of the time. Well, it wasn't quite so bad here, just a bit boring.

Dark grey walls surrounded them as well as a barred door. They were probably being treated as terrorists of the highest threat. The thought made Na'fiel mentally smirk. At least they were being given some credit, though of the wrong sort.

Apparently, this small group of four was 'dangerous'. What a laugh... Well, she supposed that they were dangerous, in a way. Just...well...it was funny that they were being put in jail for killing a man probably bent on world domination. Quite funny...

Well, it was time to focus on the present now. How to break out of jail...

Arkus had passed the time in a similar matter. The doctors at the station, even with guns to Arkus' head, would not operate on a man that was larger than most. So they sedated Arkus, watching in wonder as it took three tranquilizers, which would normally take down a human being like a train, to make him fall, slowly, to sleep.

He awoke in a cell with Kort. Oh, this was great. Stuck in a cell with the elf. Lovely.

He looked down, noticing that his ankle was repaired and in rather good condition. They probably put a metal rod in it or some such thing. Arkus was unfamiliar with medicinal methods, being rarely injured himself.

He turned his bovine head towards the barred cell door. He could rip that door clear from the wall if he wanted to... but then again he only would if he wanted to be torn to pieces by automatic gunfire. There had to be a more subtle way out, even if he was a minotaur, he still didn't mind sneaking if it was the only way.

He had only seen the elf briefly, and hadn't gotten a good enough look at him to tell that he was present. He didn't know if the man was asleep or awake.

Arkus hoped at the very least that if he were concious, he wouldn't be so insufferably cheerful...

She went through everything quite well behaved, they did not even need to give her any kind of sedative while they pulled the odd bullet from her side and bandaged it. Mostly because she refused to take any, and they did not seem to be working too well. They were a bit curious though, as to the color of her eyes, and her ears, 'remarkable' they had called them, but the drow elf was able to excuse it all as a birth defect, as she had done many-a-time before. But these doctors were beginning to annoy her, and she was greatful indeed when they had declared her well enough to leave. They had tried to take her weapons then, and but a small tussle had ensued where she was brought to the ground by five strong men before they had finally had to pin her down and take her marvelous blades from her.

Grumbling now as she examined the excellent bandaging job done about her stomach, she hoped that if they did find a way to break out, that she would be able to get her sword and dagger back. It would truely be a loss for the female to loose such precious tools. But as she sat there in that cold sell with the mermaid, she wondered, would she be able to leave without them if she had the chance?

"No..." she whispered to herself as a small voice in her head said mockingly 'yes, you could always come back later for them.' Growling deep in her throut now, she was truely becoming frustrated at this whole ordeal. A fine joke Hybrid had played on them all, used them as tools for his dirty work, then left them to be imprisoned. 'Be glad it's not a drow dungeon' that voice said with a dry humor, and indeed the drow was glad that this world treated it's prisoner's alot better than her kin.

But she was still there, and right now, she just wanted out.

Arkus stood up, groaning slightly. He felt a tad stiff, and then in a bit of panic he checked for his sets of knuckles.

Gone. They had been obviously taken by his captors, and with good reason. But he was surprised he didn't remain handcuffed and sedated. A man this large could obviously test the boundaries of this prison's defensive systems...

He saw an officer walk by bearing an automatic weapon. So that was how they kept people from breaking out.

He walked forward to the bars, putting his hands around them and putting his snout out from between them. "Sir." The bullman said to the officer. "I got a question." He grunted.

"I see my one friend here." He continued. "But where are you keeping the ladies? They're good friends of mine, and I'd like to know where they are and that they're safe." He didn't exactly lie, he just wanted to know if they were nearby.

He went on. "Please, officer. I know you probably aren't allowed to answer my questions." He figured he was doing the elf's job of charming people for him. "But still. They mean a lot to me." He finished, and then took his lean from the bars.

The guard only motioned toward the cell to Arkus' left before continuing his patrol, another guard walking the other way soon after These men were trained in how to deal with larger people, and smaller people. In fact, they could have been Navy SEALS for all those in the cells knew. They were simply men, with plenty of skills it seemed.

Hybrid finally rose from his chair and began walking to the door, pulling his cloak around his shoulders and then his head as well, his weapons numerous and plenty. He would walk there...no reason to do anything other than that right?...

Arkus grunted in return. "Thanks, stranger..." He said with no real thankful tone in his voice. He wondered, indeed, if the girls could hear him. Not really fond of the Drow at all, he decided to address Na'fiel instead.

But then he reconsidered. Would they care if they talked amongst themselves? Certainly they couldn't deprive them of their rights to speech and such.

So he decided to just give it a try, and thumped a large fist lazily against the wall he decided to lean against, the wall between their cells. "Na'fiel." He grunted. "How are you both, over there?" He asked them, not bothering to look at the elf.

Apparently no matter how insufferably cheerful the elf had been, the prison had obviously made him gloomy. Or perhaps he was simply asleep? Arkus didn't care enough to check, and thusly didn't pay any attention to where the elf was at the moment.

Arkus also wondered if they would be treated like other inmates and let out of their cells. Arkus grinned mentally at the thought of a good prison brawl, a nice ruckus, a good scuffle, a melee of fists and fury.

Of course the guards were probably wanting to avoid such an altercation, and though the bull's will was to fight all comers if they were stupid enough to declare themselves better than he, Arkus knew that he should suppress such instincts for the time being.

He hoped that this was not Hybrid's only plan for them. If he lived to see another day, and if Hybrid was through with them, he would show Hybrid that he would not be used as a pawn. The mighty Arkus worked only for honor and fame, sure, but he was not to be used and thrown aside...

Arkus scattered those thoughts with a shake of the head. He was somewhat hungry; the fight with Franz Draco had left him a bit famished indeed. He pondered asking the guard when feeding time was, but figured he'd only get a laconic answer or none at all.

So he'd just wait until he found out by being fed. He didn't care. He'd eat anything right now. Even beef. It didn't matter to Arkus at this point.

Na'fiel heard the voice and shuffled over to the wall near where it was coming from. Instead of sitting, this time, she leaned against the wall. Her casual posture didn't indicate any of her anxiety from being in this place.

"We're fine, how about you two?" she answered. There was a definate...air about the place that she didn't like. It stank of depression and some of it seemed to be seeping into all of them. From all her skills gathered here, she figured the only thing she could really do to help get out of here would be to knock out a guard or two. Even then, there were certainly more, ready to kill them.

The place in all its entirety gave her boredom. She was really quite tired of being here already and wondered if Hybrid would have any thoughts about getting them out of here. Slumping to the floor, the mermaid wondered what she could do to keep herself busy...

An idea came to mind. A skill that she hadn't used in awhile. In fact, she had never used the skill since she had fell through into this world. Standing again, she noted her surroundings. The cell was dark, with very little actual substance besides cold, concrete walls. The mermaid cleared her throat softly and then opened her mouth, her back towards the bars. From inside her, she released a small 'ping'. It was far beyond the hearing range of any human, but she didn't know about elves.

Within seconds, the 'ping' returned, Na'fiel made a mental image of the opposite corner of the room. Every chip in the walls. Every curve and every hole. No way out...

The bullman snorted. "Bah. You should know me well enough to figure that I'm alright, and that the elf, for all I care, can look after himself." He still didn't bother checking for Kort, to see what condition he was in.

"I suppose we're to rot here, eh?" Arkus said, giving into sarcastic despair. "I guess our 'fearless leader' won't be around to save our skins." He spat upon the floor. "They'll probably make leather jackets out of me simply to piss off my spirit..." He chuckled at his own sarcastic comments. He usually didn't like the cow jokes, so long as they came from him, however, he was fine with them.

He shrugged. "It pisses me off that we're here." Arkus grumbled. "Why did he allow us to be captured?" He said, alluding to Hybrid. "Is this all part of his 'master scheme?'" He asked, shaking his head. "Bah. I don't want to be here." He grumbled. "Wasn't a part of my plant, that is for sure."

He chuckled. "Next time we see him, I'm giving him a piece of my mind. If we're going to do something, I want to know all of what he 'foresees.'" He laughed, trying to lighten the mood with a strange sort of reverse humor, really, which almost never worked in this kind of situation.

The drow winced at a sudden, high-pitched 'ping' that caught her ears, and she furrowed her brow and looked about in search of the source. Then seeing Na'fiel standing with her mouth open, it seemed that she had made the sound. But it could also be something else, maybe some kind of gadget these humans were using?

"Was that you?" Zaniah asked conversationally "Or maybe was it one of the others?" She had heard the bovine's rough grunting voice emit from somewhere to the side of them.

'Foolish humans.. put us right beside each other...' the drow chuckled to herself.

"He's not someone that I'd easily trust," Na'fiel answered to Arkus, "I wonder if he really means for us to stay in here." It wasn't doubtful to say that he did. She didn't disprove the thought of him actually wanting them to get captured. Good, easy way to get rid of incriminating evidence.

Turning to Zaniah, she nodded.

"I'm able to create high pitched sound waves, like dolphins," she replied, "Then I can feel how the sound waves bounce back and know where I'm going in the dark." She shrugged, "It's a lot different on land than in water. I haven't used the technique in awhile. I'm surprised I still can." Indeed, trying to recall the power had been like second nature to her. Like she had never stopped using it. Odd.

She sat down again, leaning against the wall and listening to the large man on the other side ramble. He sure had a lot of breath left for someone who just went through quite a bit. Maybe it was all just hot air...

"So, what do you think they intend to do to us now that we've been marked as terrorists, hmm?" she was making conversation. The silence was just too overwhelming.

((I want to wait for Blue, so I'm making one more post that will show progress in the day because of the healing of all of your peoples mainly.))

The earth rotated, and the day was slowly drawing itself toward an end on one side of the planet, and bringing about the new to the other. The guards only made the simple pitter and patter with their clothed shoes, hardly even that noise was heard. Outside though, in the main office, a man in a black cloak was speaking with the receptionist, who was blushing, squirming, and smiling widely. The man simply smiled, and kept asking her questions.

Z'Kort woke up, staring drearily around. He had fallen asleep on the way down. The guards had fel the need to carry him down, after his refusal to speed up. Which was all lovely, the elf had a chance to fall asleep from that. But many things seemed to have happened in that time.

"Darling!" He exclaimed, standing up in one fluid motion and moving towards Arkus. "What luck that we are placed in the same cell!" Kort heard voices next to them. "And next to our lady friends, too!" He chuckled heartily and elbowed the minotaur in a playful manner as he looked around.

Steel, steel, steel, what was wrong with these people? All they could use was steal. Z'Kort looked up, and wondered why Arkus hadn't created holes among holes to get out yet. Well, he had been asleep. Perhaps the minotaur didn't want to leave the poor chap behind. Green eyes slanted over to the creature. Or at least didn't want to carry him through, seeing as he was probably the only one who could.

"So, plan, anyone? Or are we waiting for our mysterious employer who seems to like this grand joke he's played?"
