Ick. I was going to send Ceribri a cheesy "Men of Hawaii" type postcard, but was too embarrassed to pay for it at the checkout line. *sigh*

@Whatsit: I think it was a bit late, but they mailed it and another card from my mom to me in an envelope.
And -- *headdesk*
@Hairy Priest: ...... *headdesk*
rofl rofl
You should have seen the reaction from the guy who was announcing the mail over the speakers. I don't even know what would happen if it was anything like what you guys are saying. xd
Here is the condensed story for your reading pleasure:
The guy in charge of mail announced my name and that I had a postcard, did a sort of doubletake and said it was from Hawaii, flipped it over and then said (while on the microphone) "What on earth is a sonic screwdriver?" or something to that effect. xd
Very amusing as I had a few people ask if it was real (actually from Hawaii), and then nobody but myself and my best friend understood any of the message. At all. rofl rofl
It's like this awesome cryptic DW-coded message. xd

I didn't get a card sent. sad I need to stockpile cool-looking postcards when I find them--they aren't very easy to find around this area.

Funny; I'd think an area like yours would be loaded with postcards, being so close to so many tourist attractions.

My city is boring! lol I don't really live close to anywhere tourist-y that I can get to myself.. I'd have to travel at least an hour to get to Williamsburg or wherever in VA Beach.

Your city doesn't have some sort of local attraction, like the World's Largest Twine Ball, or a boll weevil monument? If I was still living in Wisconsin I probably would have sent you this postcard: http://www.postcrossing.com/postcards/US-370669

Closest thing I can think of is the Walmart that *closes* at night. *facepalm*
That is a pretty epic postcard though.
And the Children's Museum, but it's nowhere near like it used to be.

Bahaha, well here in the land downunder... we like BIG things. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Australia's_big_thingsAll the popular ones have postcards of them. In fact, my sister has one of the big banana and the big prawn. And scanning down the list I also see we have the big poo (oh god...) and the world's largest playable guitar. confused

Big Chair In Thomasville, NC. Big Chests of Drawers--2 of them--in High Point NC. Both these cities are right next to each other. the area is historically famous for its furniture industry and the Furniture Market in High Point, which draws people & businesses worldwide.
