{mood= good ツ} ♥ Lyrine ☮ {/mood} Lyrine felt guilty that Keith’s teeth chattered as they walked to the cafeteria. She was tempted to slip Keiths arm over her shoulder, but he quickly entered the dining hall. His jacket was warm, so Lyrine was okay. But wherever the howling wind got in, she shivered. It had started out as such a nice day. A perfect tank top with skinny jeans kind of day. And now it was all nasty weather. Lyrine wanted girlishly to stick her tongue out at the brewing clouds. Instead, she followed Keith in through the cafeteria and joined him at the lunch line. She took the lunch tray he gave her, and Lyrine took a moment to observe the cafeteria. Immediately, her eyes went to the girls, giggling and glancing their way. She knew those girls; they would spread the rumors and wear the loudest dresses. Lyrine used to one of them at her old school. Her own clique and a group of newbies always following her. Yeah, they whispered gossip in empty stalls in the bathroom, fixing obnoxiously applied make up in front of the mirror. Pretending to be best friends when inside they were planning how to steal each others boyfriends. Oh, yes. Lyrine knew them quite well. 'Wow, I was one hell of a b***h. Takes one to know one, huh? Now promising myself never ever to go back to those days.' Well, if they thought Keith was cute or whatever… Lyrine couldn’t help but glare poisonous darts at them. Keith belonged to her now. She would strangle any one of their necks lathered with concealer if they ever so much as touched him. Lyrine turned to Keith as he cleared his throat.
She grabbed items off the selections, carefully assessing how many calories each would have. Careful not to go over her daily quota. It seemed weird how no matter what school she went to, or how many friends she had, Lyrine was constantly aware of what she ate. She reached for a vitamin water, then paused, and grabbed a normal one instead. Keith’s words from yesterday echoed back to Lyrine: "Its bad for you anyway." She looked up at him as he started to talk, to explain about the Night Class. Lyrine had to agree completely with him about the general education matter. They did have that haughty, I-know-a-hell-lot-more-than-you look that had first piqued Lyrine when she had arrived. Lyrine blew a stray strand of her from her eyes as they walked to the table they had sat at earlier. She paid no attention to the girls who nudged each other when Lyrine passed by. It wasn’t until Keith put her tray on a seat that Lyrine realized he’d carried it here. "Thanks!" She said, as he began talking again. Lyrine listened to what he was saying; Aha, so they were going to be at the dance, too. Maybe Lyrine could get the scope on them then. Plus there was that one stunner Lyrine saw yesterday morning…Star? Yeah, Star.
Lyrine grinned at Keith. "Aw, that’s no fair! I’ll see you in your outfit eventully anyway!" She pouted, but then laughed quickly. "Anyway, you’ll look cute in whatever you wear, I assure you. So it barely matters." Lyrine sighed, picking at her food. She had felt hungry at the dressing room, but wasn’t any longer. Who knew why? But Lyrine hadn’t had anything solid to eat since last night, and even then, it had just been coffee and a croissant. And if the dining hall was going to close… Lyrine forced a bite of pancakes down. Some reflex in her gagged the food, but Lyrine forced it down with a swig of water. She ate a few more bites without much enthusiasm. Just then, a figure burst through the door of the cafeteria. Lyrine cocked her head as Pearll came toward her. Wow, someone she actually knew in the great almighty school. "Hi, Pearll." Lyrine greeted the peppy girl in return. She nodded with her words, and assured her, "Okay, I’ll be there." She waved at the girl as she walked away. With a smile, Lyrine turned to Keith. "So, apparently, I just got invited to a slumber party I can’t turn down." She chuckled lightly, remembering wistfully all the night-long parties she’d been to. She sighed, then. She really wasn’t hungry; a little anticipating, a little nervous, a little excited. Food would repulse her right now. "Hey, I’ll see you later, ok? I’m sorry, I’m going to go meet up with Pearll. If you’re done, by the way, you can walk me there?" She asked, a small smile on her face.
You'll never get used to it. You'll just have to live with it.

★★★ ŜŦДЯ . ЯЗŜМЗ . ☪ДЯŦЗЯ ★★★ Star Resme Carter is feeling .::Regretful and Confused::. { Star's Hair is: In a bun tied with pink ribbon. She has five hot-pink streaks of hightlights and two light pink chopsticks pinning it up. }{ In the spotlight I'm a Ŝ ϋ ρ з я ş ŧ α я... Good. Star felt good. Right now, 'good' was the only adjective her spinning mind could conjour up, whilst her, what humans would call "soul" was lost in this moment with Felix. A shiver went down his spine, and she felt it. Especially as he used his cold, strong body to draw her small one to him. Every second with him felt precious to her. She wanted so much more, and when he asked "Are you okay with this?", every part of Star's body screamed yes. If he hadnt been so inticing, she would've shouted that right in his face. Unfortunately, her mind wasn't exactly working at the moment, and she opened her mouth to say yes, though she couldn't quite form the words. Although Felix was partialy the reason she hadn't the ability to speak, something else was holding her back; something was keeping her from devoting herself to the gorgeous vampire before her... Adam was definately the one. What he'd said to her still stuck in her mind, the truth of his words hurting her. It was because she was his sister that he cared and protected her so much. Star knew it was for her own good, and she felt guilty disobeying her brother who'd done so much for her. But then again, Felix was her beloved, the 'one' who she knew was different from the rest. Oh, what do I do... Felix, Adam. Boyfriend, brother. Though Felix's body was pressed to hers, she found her mind wandering to Adam. There were so many times he'd saved her and so many times she'd relied on him. It was time she repayed him by showing a little obedience. "Look, Felix," Star murmured, pushing his chest off her and gently leaning up to touch her forehead to his. "I'm glad you asked, because I don't think I am. It's not you, it's Adam. I think he's right in some ways." To make her point clearer, Star completely moved herself out from under him and instead took a seat on the bed next to him. Handing him the shirt she had to lustfully taken off a few moments ago, Star smiled a knowing smiled at him. Leaning over to plant another gentle kiss on his lips, she continued with what she was saying. "What I mean is, Adam's been right before and I owe it to him to trust him on this. I don't doubt you, nothing like that. But I think we should give it some time, before we start with... well, that." The small vampire who was once so confident and glamorous felt quite small compared to Felix, and hoped he understood. Benjamin was quite known for his temper and although she was sure he wouldn't hurt her, Star didn't know exactly what he would do. She wanted to whisper 'please' to him, but wasn't sure what response would come, so she decided to just wait for his reaction. Star hoped Felix didn't feel she was pushing him away. That was the last thing she wanted. Right now, Felix was everything to her, and it would stay that way. But she wanted to take their time, and building a slight wall was the best way. About to open her mouth again, a sudden cry for help echoed in the hall. The voice indicated Pearll, and Star realized she'd been so wrapped up with Felix, she hadn't smelled the werewolf stench. Her nose didn't wrinkle in the least; Star had always found werewolves delightful despite their fued with her race. Immediately standing up, Star raced and slammed open her door with inhumane speed, not caring which human saw her messy room. She turned to see a bizzare scene where her brother, Kiyarah, Pearll, Farah and the disgusting filth Marucus were gathered, Marcus obviously the subject of everyone's anger. Farah was holding Marcus down, and for once she was grateful to the werewolf alpha. Marching up to them, Adam had already intercepted and picked up Marcus and sent him sprawling across the hall. That's my brother, she thought with a wry smile. However, instead of stopping, Star decided to continue her march right up to where Marcus lay. "Hello. I believe I owe you something," with that she punched him straight in the face. That happened to be for his earlier comments. ... Behind the scenes I'm just a Ġ ї я ł }

Pearll .. Lynnette .. Spiet Forever don’t exist for us but, please just let me hold you tightly for now. Pearll is feeling enthusiastic. Pearll screamed, an inward ear-splitting scream, which nobody could hear, when Farah rushed out of nowhere to slam into Marcus. Pearll heard a crack and winced. Farah’s shoulder… Pearll thought worriedly. She bent down over Farah, keeping Marcus down. As she was about to pull her off the scum, Adam and Kiyarah arrived on scene. Pearll breathed in their scent, each breath sending a fresh wave of pain up her nose. "What happened here?" Pearll heard Kiyarah asking. She hesitated. “I’m… not sure. I was knocking on the front door, asking to be let into the dorm to find you and Star. I was organizing a party and thought of asking the both of you… you know, the more the merrier.” She took a deep breath and continued. “And… umm… that filthy bloodsucker just opened the door and grabbed my arm. Farah ran and knocked into him, saving me.” She explained. “Please, Kiyah, Farah just saved me, so… don’t think that she’s like asking for a fight.”
Adam come out of the dorm and unceremoniously lifted Farah before dumping her onto the ground. He then slammed into Marcus so hard that the concrete cracked. Pearll looked around at the people gathered around, realizing that they were all vampires. Most of them were wearing a look of irritation. Most probably because of the two of us. She thought as she helped Farah up and out of harm’s way. She then went back to Kiyarah, standing with the vampires, looking on at the fight. “Kiyah, there is still a slumber party… even though Farah’s injured. Can you tell Sta—“ At that moment, Star walked out of the dorm’s door. "Hello. I believe I owe you something," she said and punched Marcus in his face. She turned her attention to Kiyarah again. “Are you alright? You seem unusually pale… Are you still having a cold? You really do seem cold,” Pearll commented. “Hope my heat would actually warm you a little,”Pearll said as she stood closer to Kiyarah.
“Are you going for the little party? I’ve already invited Lyrine.” Pearll asked. “You must go… it is a great opportunity to show that this co-existing thing can really work. And ‘no’ is not an accepted answer,” Her eyes twinkled. “Oh, unless you couldn’t bear to part with Adam… It’s pretty alright you know…” Pearll teased and grinned at Kiyarah to show that she was just joking. "I am what I am."

farah..elen..redding "I'm in love with your potential ...today Farah is {in pain}.
I'm in love with what you should be, baby." As Farah's shoulder throbbed with heat and tearing pain, she gritted her teeth. She was growling low, starring Marcus down. And then the talking started. And the first voice she heard was Kiyarah's.
"What happened here?" there was a pause, which Farah assumed was the female prefect's attempt to figure it out for herself. "Can you please let go of Marcus, Farah?"
Farah's blood boiled. The pain numbed with the adrenaline fueled fury towards hybrid girl. She wanted her to let the monster who'd just attacked a member of her pack. The member of the pack who, more than anyone else in the entire school, genuinely wanted to co-exist with these people. Pearll didn't care if they were humans, or vampires, or wolves, or space aliens. She was like a puppy. She wanted nothing in the world more than to just be friends with everyone. Farah's knee shoved harder into Marcus's throat.
Then came Kiles. Farah growled louder, her rage increasing. But it was all lost as soon as the Twilight House's leader lifted her effortlessly off of Marcus. A quiet cry of excruciating pain slipped through her lips. Adam Kiles was not going to attack her, and he hadn't tried to push her shoulder up the way that had made everything go light and brought tears to her eyes from pain. He'd put her down gently, despite the rage in his eyes, and every movement.
And then he'd picked up where she'd left off, lifted him by the throat, and thrown him back onto the ground. ”I hope you have enjoyed your last day at this school, because I will sooner see you dead than walking these halls again.”
The pretty girl, Star, who was Pearll's friend and Adam Kiles sister was next. There was pride shining in her eyes as she watched her brother. "Hello. I believe I owe you something," she'd said, turning her attention to the pinned vampire. And then she'd punched him in the face.
And in the background she heard Pearll explaining the whole ordeal to Kiyarah. And then inviting her to a slumber party.
“Are you going for the little party? I’ve already invited Lyrine. You must go… it is a great opportunity to show that this co-existing thing can really work. And ‘no’ is not an accepted answer,” Farah could hear the excitement, and the pride in Pearll's voice, and it nearly ripped her heart in half. “Oh, unless you couldn’t bear to part with Adam… It’s pretty alright you know…”
It was then that Farah cleared her throat. "She's going to say no, Pearll. To all of it. She doesn't think we can do it without anyone getting hurt." Farah glared hatefully at Kiyarah. She didn't know why it'd never occurred to her before, that this was why there'd been so much trouble getting to this point before. She spoke in a tone low enough that you'd have to be one of them to hear."Of course we can co-exist. Look at you, Pearll. You have friends everywhere on this campus, and you don't care who they are. At Adam, who just defended us because it was right, rather than one of his own. And then look at Kiyarah, who favors the Twilight Dorm whenever she has the opportunity. Look at the dorms, where all of us are segregated so that we don't hurt them, and they don't hurt the humans. At the pills they have to take to feign self-control. At the separate class schedule when we haven't had two sunny days together in a month. We're never going to co-exist, because Kiyarah is about to tell you that your friend Lyrine can't be around your friend Star, that I am too hostile towards the vampires, and that she cannot attend an activity that so flagrantly shatters the rules she spends her time bending for the vampires and enforcing on everyone else."
It was then that Farah willed herself to stand, ignoring the blinding pain again. "You heard enough to know something was happening, Kiyarah. Everyone here could hear my bones breaking. And your first action, your first response was to tell me to get off of the person who was attacking someone who calls you a FRIEND? I wonder why we don't get along better."
She looked at Pearll, proud to have a member of her pack who really understood the difference between good and bad. And then she nodded to Kiles and his sister, who understood right and wrong. And then, holding her breath to ignore the pain she was in, she waited.

ღ kiyarah ○ αитσιиєттє ○ briarwood ღ ♪ ♫just hold me close to your body Kiyarah Antoinette Briarwood is feeling just a little : { angry } One thing after another happened before Kiyarah's eyes. She had no idea which one to deal with first. To deal with Pearll and Farah would mean a death to Marcus. But to deal with saving Marcus would mean both the anger of the werewolves AND Adam. She didn't want any of them to be angry with her. But either way, she had to stop a death from happening before her father became furious at all of them and expelled all that were involved. Adam, Star, Farah, and Pearll. They would be expelled if Marcus were to die just because the guy was a tad immature for a vampire that lived for a long time. Her mind raced over what to do next, but her eyes remained on Adam the whole time. If she helped Marcus, after what he had obviously done to a pack member, he would be furious. And especially since Adam seemed to be taking the werewolves' sides. Don't get Kiyarah wrong, she thought that Marcus was on the wrong for what he had done. But she just didn't believe that violence was the answer to this. And death was for sure going way too far. Her light blue eyes remained on Adam's dark ones until Pearll spoke to her.
She had to admit, the idea of a slumber party with all the girls was making her a little nervous. Not because Lyrine was going to be there in the same room with Star, but it was because of the bitterness she seemed to have with the Alpha of the pack. And before Kiyarah was able to respond with a small nod of approval that she would go, the bitterness rose up to the surface yet again. Usually, Kiyarah would be one to listen to anyone that had an objection to what she was doing as a prefect. Because she knew that she was not perfect. But when it came to Farah, Kiyarah wanted nothing but to shut the girl up. It's because this girl didn't want to bother being friends with her that made Kiyarah believe that this girl was basing some of her facts on bias ideas. Farah knew nothing of Kiyarah's past, she knew nothing about her vampire father, who made Kiyarah hate herself and part of her kind for years. And here's Farah, stating so point blankly that Kiyarah was favoring the vampires over anyone else. A look of reasoning left Kiyarah's eyes and was quickly substituted by a look of rage that no one had ever seen before. Everyone in Oak Point knew that Kiyarah was not one to be angry. However, Farah was just pushing her buttons.
"Thank you for your bias statements, Farah! Thank you so much for putting words in my mouth!" Kiyarah snared, taking steps closer to the girl. "What gives you the authority to think for me? Huh? And what makes you think you know everything about me? You think I favor vampires? Well I'm sorry I give off that kind of vibe since I seem to hang out with them the most. But the only reason why I don't seem to be hanging out with werewolves often is mainly because of you." Kiyarah then took a step back, but her eyes still glared at Farah with such hate that she hadn't felt since her father had abandoned her. "It's like everything I do has to be considered wrong to you. I know I'm not perfect, but I'm trying my hardest to try and fix as many problems as I can without having a stuck up Alpha on my a** all the time. I don't see you trying to provoke Hugo. He's doing about the same amount of work as I am, but I don't see you complaining. Is it because he's kicks it with you during the night patrol? Or is it because you seem to have a more intimate relationship with him? Come on Farah! Grace me with your beautiful intelligence. Because from what I'm hearing, I'm one hell of a dumb a**. I'm nothing like you, Farah, who looks to violence to solve problems. We're at a damn school for crying out loud. Use some common sense as to what you do in these grounds. You know damn well better than I do that the Chairman forbids violence in this school. I'm doing all in my ability to keep this school violence free. But, as always, you're making it very difficult for me."
Kiyarah's rage raised beyond her level and it was no where near stopping. Everything and everyone around her was disappearing from her eyes and only Farah was left. Ever since this girl came to the school, she had done nothing but get on Kiyarah's nerves. It was always her that she seemed to be provoking. Did she find it fun? To put down a prefect? Did she feel superior whenever Kiyarah showed sign of weakness? These were the kind of thoughts that Kiyarah had every day after having to face Farah. "The only evidence that you have for my 'favoritism' for vampires is that I'm in love with one. And because I seem to get along with them more than the rest of Day Class. So what if I do? So what if I hang out with vampires more? It's not my fault that part of me is vampire. But I'm more human than vampire, if you haven't noticed by my poor ability to do anything. Before Oak Point even came into my life, I hated vampires with a passion. I hated them so much because I was a--You know what. I don't have to explain myself to you. Because you probably don't want to hear it. I'm tired of trying to be friends with you. Because you do nothing but put me down to the ground. I won't even be surprised to hear that you would want me dead. So I'm done. Do whatever the hell you want." Lifting her hands up in an "I surrender" stance, Kiyarah backed away from the wolf girl and then walked over to Marcus.
As she helped Marcus up, Kiyarah turned to look at Pearll. Because of her rage, Kiyarah wasn't able to smile at the girl in the way she would usually do. "I'm not going to the party. But it's not because of the bias reasons your oh so wonderful Alpha has given. It's because I have a job to do. Yeah, I'm sick, but for some reason trouble just seems to always find me. Come on, Marcus," she said in a monotone drone, bringing Marcus's arm around her shoulders and lifting him up off the ground. "Whoa, you're letting me off the hook?" the vampire asked. Kiyarah glared knives at Marcus then turned her cold stare towards Adam. "I'd rather have one less vampire in this school then a dead one," she snapped, keeping her eyes on Adam even though her words were directed towards Marcus. After hitching Marcus up more on her shoulders, Kiyarah turned her back towards the crowd at the front of the Twilight dorms and headed to the staff building. Kiyarah had no fear in her eyes for what she had done. She had just seen a side of Adam that she hoped to never see, even when it had involved Marcus. And just now, she had given the man she loved the coldest of glares. It wouldn't surprise Kiyarah if he had decided to argue at her for what she had done. But she didn't care about Adam right now. As much as she loves him, he was less of a priority. What was more of a priority now, was her sanity.
The Chairman was shocked and angered to see Kiyarah at the door to his office. But as his soft brown eyes turned towards the vampire she was supporting on her shoulders, the Chairman's expression of anger left and he instantly helped Kiyarah put Marcus in a chair. "Kiyarah, what is going on? Why are you out of bed when I specifically told you to not leave the house?" he asked, standing right in front of Kiyarah before turning to look down at Marcus who had been silent the whole time over to the staff building. It had crossed Kiyarah's mind that she was still sick. But even now, she didn't feel the horrible symptoms of the cold she had. In fact, her mind was clear of any fog that had blurred her thoughts. Looking through the spectacles of her father, Kiyarah saw how angry she was. At Farah, at Marcus, at Adam, at almost everyone. "Chairman Briarwood. I have evidence that can have Marcus expelled from Oak Point Academy," she said, her voice still having that cold tone from earlier. The Chairman winced at the voice, no doubt surprised Kiyarah could carry such a tone. But the hybrid had no reaction, she just stood in front of the Chairman and waited for the okay to begin. At first the Chairman asked if Marcus had any objection as to what Kiyarah was about to say. That was just how Chairman Briarwood was. He gave every student a chance to defend themselves. But the vampire didn't take this chance. And so Kiyarah began to list the many events that could bring Marcus to expulsion.
Under strict orders to return home, Kiyarah stepped out of the staff building completely wiped of any energy. She was tired and she found it harder to walk with every step that she took. After long minutes in the Chairman's office, Kiyarah had convinced her father to expel the vampire that had caused so much trouble for everyone. She had listed every action Marcus had done from the day he almost bit a girl to his harassment towards Pearll. And yet, it still didn't feel like enough. In fact, she felt that what she had done just now was a waste of time. Marcus had gotten expelled. His "parents" were coming to get him. Now what? Was everything suppose to go back to normal like nothing had happened? Kiyarah rubbed her eyes as she walked the few yards towards her house. Each blink was more difficult to do. She was tired beyond any fatigue that she has had to live through. And it wasn't going to help that many of the students in Oak Point might be upset with her. She was definitely not ready for any of them. Finally, she was at home as these thoughts came up into her mind. The warmth of her home made her all the more tired. So tired, that she had to drag herself everywhere. The first place she went to was the kitchen to grab a snack. She only took a fruit salad and a bottle of water.
Now back in her room, Kiyarah fell onto her bed and opened the fruit salad. The nourishment of each bite brought no energy into her, but she still loved the feeling of some cold substance go down her throat that was not blood. A sigh escaped her lips. After a short second, Kiyarah sat up and rummaged through her bedside drawer for her tablets. She took three this time instead of the usual two and swallowed them without water. It tasted more terrible without the water, but she didn't care. With the fruit salad on her lap, Kiyarah plugged her iPod into her boombox and then pressed play. A hard rock song with the most loudest drums blasted loudly through her speakers. If she woke up Hugo, who cares? Kiyarah just wanted to blanken her world out and remain in her own little bubble. Lying on her back on her bed, Kiyarah forked a piece of cantaloupe and stuffed into her mouth. Her eyes stared up at the ceiling for a long while before they drooped shut on their own. The fruit salad bowl tumbled off her stomach and the contents scattered all over her bed and the fork in her hand fell to the ground with a loud clank. But Kiyarah did nothing to fix any of this. She fell into a very deep sleep. &put that playlist on blast :: { Defeated - Tynisha Keli }♪ ♫

Pearll .. Lynnette .. Spiet Forever don’t exist for us but, please just let me hold you tightly for now. Pearll is feeling very disappointed. Farah! Pearll thought, exasperated as the alpha’s daoughter sprouted some nonsense to offend and antagonize Kiyarah. “She's going to say no, Pearll. To all of it. She doesn't think we can do it without anyone getting hurt. Of course we can co-exist. At the separate class schedule when we haven't had two sunny days together in a month.” Farah was sitting there, clutching her injured shoulder. She looked vulnerable and fragile. She looked like she was wincing; bearing with the pain it cost her to talk so bitterly. Yet, at the same time, she looked murderous, she looked like she would be charging towards Kiyarah, strangling her with her bare hands had not her dislocated shoulder. “ We're never going to co-exist, because Kiyarah is about to tell you that your friend Lyrine can't be around your friend Star, that I am too hostile towards the vampires, and that she cannot attend an activity that so flagrantly shatters the rules she spends her time bending for the vampires and enforcing on everyone else.” “Farah, can you just stop it? I’m sure Kiyarah didn’t mean it that way.”Pearll said, trying to clam Farah down, trying to make things better. She glanced around at the vampires looking at the commotion, all interested in how the little “catfight” will end up. Some of them were even egging Farah on. Looks like there aren’t going to be any help from there. She thought, stuck in a hopeless situation. And this fight will most definitely end up with both of them injured… Why can’t—
A new voice spoke up beside Pearll. Kiyarah’s voice joined the fray, the volume raising to be heard over the noise. Why can’t both of them just give and take a little and let this damn matter rest? Rolling her eyes a little, Pearll stepped away from Kiyarah as she moved forward. “ …I’m tired of trying to be friends with you. Because you do nothing but put me down to the ground. I won't even be surprised to hear that you would want me dead. So I'm done. Do whatever the hell you want.” Kiyarah lifted her hands in “defeat” and went off to help Marcus. "I'm not going to the party. But it's not because of the bias reasons your oh so wonderful Alpha has given. It's because I have a job to do. Yeah, I'm sick, but for some reason trouble just seems to always find me. Come on, Marcus," Pearll understood how she felt and gave Kiyarah a slight nod. Kiyarah lifted Marcus off the ground and walked him to the staff buildings. What the hell is she doing? Saving him? Pearll wanted to walk up to Kiyarah and help her, but… Farah needed her help more.
Pearll turned to where Farah was sitting. “Let’s go. You don’t exactly want to stay here all day right? Besides, Lyrine should be waiting outside our dorms right now.” She said as she walked towards Farah. Pearll helped her up. “I think you’re being really selfish towards Kiyah. I’m sure she doesn’t mean it that way.” How could a simple slumber party end up this way? Shaking her head, Pearll walked off. She figured that if Farah wanted to go back to the Dorms, she would follow her. However, she still turned back. “You coming? "I am what I am."

Adam James Kiles When you can live forever... ...what do you live for? Adam James Kiles is feeling [Confused] It took but mere seconds and the argument had turned from the vampire that had the self-control of an infant to Kiyarah playing favorites with vampires. Adam was still holding Marcus to the ground when Kiyarah pulled him to his feet. Adam did not resist it but it infuriated him. He decided that if anything was going to happen he didn’t want Kiyarah to get hurt in the cross fire. Adam stood there for a moment stunned into silence trying to arrange his thoughts. He stood and looked at the small gathering of vampires that had assembled. ”Please, everyone go back into the dorms and remain there till the dance starts.” He watched as all of them funneled back through the door and he closed it behind him. Adam turned to face the rest of the group and saw Pearll walking away. ”Pearll.” he shouted out to her quickly walking to her side. ”Pearll, I just want to apologies for Marcus’s actions and my own. I will do anything in my power to prove that ‘my’ kind is not how he makes us look. I will be personally see to it that all of what was damaged in your room is repaired or replaced.” he said.Adam turned back to Star and Farah still standing at the door. Farah looked as if she was in incredible pain and he decided he would try to help. When he was standing next to her he spoke to her calm and coolly ”Farah, I know that your shoulder has to be in excruciating pain. And I know that my kind is not exactly your favorite but I would like to check the extent of the break and make sure it will set properly.” he said placing a cold hand on her fiery skin. She winced slightly when he touched her but nodded gritting her teeth. Adam set his hand in front of her face and smiled ”I know that this is going to seem a bit ridicules and if you would prefer a stick I will got you one. But in your human form you aren’t strong enough to hurt me so please it will be easier if you have something to bite down on.” He said wiggling his hand. She shook her and smiled slightly ”No, thank you, I’ll deal.” she said. Adam shrugged and pressed his cold fingers into her shoulder feeling for any swelling or breaking. He became so engrossed when he felt the muscles moving and flexing as she as her body began its healing process that he could have had someone screaming next to him and he would have been oblivious. He located the break and it wasn’t terribly severe and because of what she was it would heal just fine. ”Good news and bad news. Bad news is your shoulder is broken. Good news is at the rate you are healing it should take about three to four hours for it to fully heal.” He said as he tore off the sleeves of his shirt and turned them into a make shift sling, wrapping it around her.[ooc]Talked with alittleferocious about her parts so there was no godmodding.[/ooc]

[ Announcement ] Hey guys.
I've got some good news and some bad news. The bad news is that Little-Sweet_Misery- is no longer in this roleplay. She had to quit due to personal reasons. The good news, however, is that FearlessDare has taken the liberty of taking Hugo's character.
On a more cheerful note, I'll be having a new poll up soon.
Also, I'm planning on making a very huge time skip either tomorrow or the day after tomorrow. The morning time setting is getting real boring for me. So if you have any plans you want to work with now, better do it while it's the morning time setting.
Note ~ Please don't respond to this below. If you have any questions, feel free to pm me.

farah..elen..redding "I'm in love with your potential ...today Farah is {in pain}.
I'm in love with what you should be, baby." With a snarl tearing from her chest and a short shriek of pain, Adam Kiles, head of Twilight House, boyfriend of her least favorite person, and wearer of a sweater she recognized as her former love interests, had set her shoulder and examined it thoroughly. He smelled sickeningly sweet, and the smell mingled with Hugo and Kiyarah's from so much time spent around them. It took everything in her power to not let the pain and the unpleasant smells turn her stomach and throw up on their porch. The lone up side was that his frozen skin against her unusually high temperature was numbing, and somewhat soothing. She realized that she had bitten her lip hard and a trickle of blood was running down her chin. It was that moment that Farah hoped she really was as unappealing as they made her believe she might be.
"Thank you, Adam." Farah spoke in a hoarse whisper. She hadn't noticed that there were tears in her eyes before. When did crying become so common? "It's okay if I call you Adam, rather than... you know, blood-sucking parasite, right? I spend so much time being guided by my instincts, feeling nothing but hunt and danger in this part of campus. I feel it from Kiyarah and Hugo, too. I was willing to try and ignore my instincts for him, and he ended up hurting a member of my pack to get to a human because he couldn't control the predator. I don't trust people, I definitely don't trust vampires. I'm not a very good leader, Adam."
Farah sighed, heart heavy. "I'm sure Tyler has a sling at the dorm, sports and his whole history of being as reckless and stupid as the rest of us are... If you wanted to.. take this one back and get it fixed for Kiyarah. I know she wears it a lot in off time, it smells just like her. I could try to fix it... my grandmother and my aunt do a lot of beading on the rez... they always wanted me to take it up so... I'm not terrible with a needle and thread. You'd just have to wash it and probably wear it for a few days to make it smell appealing to her again."
She couldn't believe the words she was saying, or how pathetic she felt saying anything so apologetically to a vampire. Especially one who was dating a girl who was nothing but a raging b***h to her. Then again...
"I don't think Kiyarah knows that I don't just hate her blindly. I don't hate her at all really. It just seems like every time I've tried to be a leader, and follow through with my part of my responsibilities, she's behind me telling me why I can't. When your sister was in the cafeteria during our lunch block, I was told first why it wasn't my place to do anything, and then that she was being punished for it... but then Kiyarah and Star go and have a play date. I'm told to get off of Marcus because she doesn't want me to kill him.. when I'd never planned to kill him. I'm not allowed to phase on the gated grounds and I respect that rule, but he's a newborn, and I know enough about your kind to know that that's the strongest and most reckless point in your ....whatever... theoretically... he was attacking a member of my pack... "
Oh God, I'm ranting and justifying myself to a vampire. The HEAD vampire. Oh God. This is a dream. This is Rock Bottom. I'm dead... the newborn killed me, and I'm in hell.
It took a minute at least for her to collect herself after realizing how counter-intuitive the entire situation was. She sighed heavily. "It's only possible to see things from your own perspective. All I ever want is to be good enough for them." Farah nodded her head towards the Moon dorm.
She turned and took a light step down, and then another, off of the porch of the Twilight dorm, trying not to jostle her shoulder. She turned for a second when she'd reached the side walk again. "Let me know about the sweater. And.. thanks again."

Adam James Kiles When you can live forever... ...what do you live for? Adam James Kiles is feeling [Torn] Adam stood there patiently as Farah, essentially, poured herself out. As she spoke Adam gain a new respect for the wolf. It takes a lot to bear your feelings to an enemy, but from this point forward he hoped they could be at the very least civilized. She made very few pauses in her rant and he didn’t feel as if he should interrupt. She mentioned something about Kiyarah and there was a slight twitch in his stomach. She was going to be furious with him and she had every right. I am such a fool. What am I going to do? he thought to himself as he listened to the rest of the wol- Farah’s speech. She mentioned a few things about her pack and how she could get a real sling. When she spoke of Kiyarah again Adam tried to ignore the ache in his chest. She never said anything cruel about her but Adam could see it in her eyes that she didn’t really care that much for Kiyarah. She finished speaking and turned to leave thanking him once again. It didn’t take Adam long to decide he wanted to keep this peace going. ”Farah, please allow me a moment to speak.” he said trying to sound as friendly as he could. ”Now I know that I’m not your favorite per- well creature in the world but I have seen the dynamic of your pack. You are an incredible leader and I believe your pack would follow you to the ends of the earth. As for the sweater I can fix it but I’m sure Kiyarah will be angry with me for a while regardless. I would like for us to live in harmony but even I know that is not entirely possible. There will always be others of ‘my’ kind out there that will wish to harm humans and wolfs alike. There are even some vampires here that should never be allowed anywhere near humans. But you have my word that as long as I am the head of the Twilight dorm there will never be another incident like the one today.” He took a breath and focused again ”And Kiyarah is trying her very hardest. She doesn’t mean to single any one species out. Just try to go easy on her and I will ask the same of her for you. Please know that from this point forward I would like it if our races could get along” He smiled and set his hand out in front of himself as a sign of peace.[ooc]Kinda lame sorry.[/ooc]

☾ tyler ○ sєвαsтιαη ○ carrillo ☽ღ kiyarah ○ αитσιиєттє ○ briarwood ღ Tyler Sebastion Carrillo sure does feel really { concerned } Kiyarah Antoinette Briarwood can't help but feel { heart-broken } The weather had lightened up ever since the morning. The wind was now a soft breeze that felt more like a warmth than a cold battle. That is why Kiyarah felt the urge to go outside for a little fresh air. Of course, she got the permission of her father before doing so. There was also another reason wht she wanted to get out of the house. His scent lingered all over her room, and it was driving her insane. And it was not in the way she enjoyed. She tried going to the living room, but his scent was still around. She tried the kitchen, but there was no success. So the best thing she could do was go outside where the outdoor scents would overpower his scent. So with his dicision approved of, Kiyarah dressed into a black long sleeve and dark indigo super skinny jeans and then slipped into a warm pair of caramel brown Ugg boots. Once her hair was dry and up into a messy bun held up by two Japanese designed chopsticks, Kiyarah grabbed her iPod from her boombox and stepped out of her room. As she walked down the hall with silent and careful steps, she placed her earbuds into her ears and then pressed Play on her iPod. "Walk Away (Remember Me)" by Paula DeAnda played into her ears. Kiyarah bobbed her head to the beat, occasionally singing along. When she was in the kitchen, Kiyarah went straight to the whiteboard right next to the fridge. She picked up her black marker and wrote a message to her brother in case he was looking for her.
Wandering around the school. Dad said I could. Didn't bring my phone. Will be back in an hour or two.
After she wrote her signature on the bottom of the message, Kiyarah capped her marker and walked out the back door. She traveled to the wooden door that would lead her to the front of the house. And in no time at all, Kiyarah was facing teh front porch of her house. With a deep breath, this hybrid turned her back towards her house and made her way towards the sidewalk that would lead her into the rest of the campus. Her cold had gone away slightly, but she was still coughing a bit and her throat felt sore. But the sore throat did have to do with what had happend a while back when Adam came into her room. The instant Kiyarah had woken up from her nap, she knew that her anger was going to intensify because of the person she thought she would never be mad at. The second Adam had stepped in her room, Kiyarah took in the scent of the person she dislikes and instantly felt the anger she thought had left come right up again. And before she knew it, she was yelling at Adam to get out. What made her even more angry was that he had used her favorite sweater, which happened to belong to Hugo, to help the girl that she just got in a dispute with. Kiyarah could almost feel her eyes turn red from anger when she saw the ripped sleeves and how the piece of clothing smelled disgustingly of Farah. The only thing that Kiyarah could think to say was "Get out." She may have said more, but her anger had clouded her mind so much that any other words that came out of her mouth must have come out without her notice.
Passing by the now closed Dining Hall, Kiyarah wondered if she could maybe get herself on the roof of the building. No one would know she was there. But if a vampire were around, and maybe a werewolf, they would know she was around through her scent. She let out a sigh, wondering now if this taking a walk thing was a bright idea. Now that she thought about it, with her scent, Adam could possibly be trying to look for her. Not that she thought him to be that type of person, but he felt that he would try to fix things between them. At this moment, she didn't even know if she wanted things fixed between them after what had happened. If he had cared about me he would have thought to use something else other than my favorite sweater. I gave him that sweater because I trusted him to take care of it. But I guess even vampires aren't as perfect as people expected them to be. For someone as old as Adam, I would think he would have a century of common sense. Does he even lo-- "Kiyah?" Kiyarah let out a gasp, turning as she heard a familiar voice call out her name, or more like her nickname. She caught sight of Tyler standing a few feet from her. For once, he was actually wearing something other than sweatpants. And he was actually wearing a shirt. A smile couldn't help but appear on her face at the clothes he was wearing. "Holy crap! You're wearing a shirt! And jeans!" Kiyarah blurted out, giggling like a little girl. Like what had happened hours ago hadn't happened at all. For some reason, everytime Tyler was around she felt at ease. Not in the same way she felt when around Adam. Around Tyler, Kiyarah felt this ease like being around Hugo. This brotherly ease that brought her heart to a steady pace.
A soft chuckle came out of Tyler's lips, staring at Kiyarah's reaction. "Has it been that long since I wore these kind of clothes?" he asked, taking steps closer to the prefect. She responded with a smart remark about how she hadn't seen him in jeans and a shirt in a long time. He had to admit, Kiyarah did have a point. And being back in jeans and a plain white shirt felt weird. He even wore a leather jacket just to make his look work. But seeing Kiyarah shiver a bit, Tyler took off the jacket and placed it around his old friend. She flashed him a soft and grateful smile. Something that sort of pulled him off guard. It was like she loved the comfort he gave. With a raised eyebrow, Tyler wrapped Kiyarah under his arm and started to walk with her towards the quad area of the school. "All right, little one. Spill the beans. I heard about the whole drama near Twilight Dorms from one of the homies during practice." Tyler looked down to see that Kiyarah was looking up at him with sad eyes. "I mean everything. From what Marcus did to Pearll to the little argument you had with Farah. I think I know Farah's perspective already, seeing as she sort of does complain about you sometimes. So, do me a favor and tell me what's bothering you." Tyler gave his friend a soft, comforting squeeze. He watched her sigh once and avert her eyes towards the ground as they continued to walk to the quad.
He was completely filled in with what had happened by the time they reached a spot at the quad. And he had to admit, what Kiyarah had told him was more complicated than what he had heard from the others in his pack. He still had yet to speak to Farah, but he sort of felt himself siding with Kiyarah a bit. After all, Farah was one that would sometimes give bias information without first looking for a source of evidence. So with what the hybrid had told him, Tyler wondered if there was some kind of bitterness that Farah felt for Kiyarah. "So, you're telling me that Farah said you play favorites with vampires? Did she give reasons as to why she thinks this way?" he asked, looking down at Kiyarah who sat cross-legged on the wet grass. He sat down beside her, keeping his attention on his friend.
Kiyarah shook her head, the words from earlier ringing in her head. "No reason. None at all. All she said was that I favor the Twilight Dorms whenever I have the opportunity. She didn't even give me a chance to explain why I asked her to let Marcus go. She just blurted out that I preferred vampires over werewolves. She doesn't know me. And she doesn't give me the chance to get to know her. Everything I do, even if it's for a good cause, has to be criticized by her. And then she goes on to say that my father's dream of coexistance is not going to happen. She list all these facts that are true, but she doesn't understand the worry--" Tears filled Kiyarah's eyes as she thought back to Farah's cold words about how this coexist idea would never work. It killed her inside to think that. And if her father had heard this, he would be crushed. Tyler wrapped his arms around Kiyarah, rocking her from side to side. And she responded by using his shoulders to cry on. "Go on, Kiyah."
With a deep breath, Kiyarah wrapped her arm around Tyler's waist. "For as long as I could remember, my father told me his dream of seeing the day that humans, vampires, and werewolves would live together. And he knew that it would take a long process. Starting with segregating each species, separating the day class and night class. It may not look like coexistance, but it's my father has been saying that he's not seeing any progress. There are some people in this school that just won't accept the hopes that my father wants. And they choose to criticize it, jest with it, insult it. And it hurts." Kiyarah let out a sigh, wiping the tears from her eyes. She felt Tyler pull her at half way to arm's length. She lifted her gaze up to his dark brown eyes. But she quickly turned away.
Deep inside, Tyler felt that there was more to Kiyarah's story than she was telling. But he didn't want to press her with details. Because he knew it had something to do with Adam. So that was why he brought her back into his arms and comforted her as she went back into tears. "Everything is going to be all right, Kiyah. There are some people that are just not really ready to accept such a big of an idea as a coexistance between two species that have been enemies for centuries. The closest anyone has seen to a coexistance is your brother. And to me, that's a really big step that I'm so appreciative of. And as for Farah. I know I've told you plenty of times, but she's not that bad of a person. There are times however, when she does hate to feel inferior. And it may lead her to being a little, bias. You have to understand that she does mean well. It's just taking her time," he explained. There was a really strong force. It took Tyler a long moment to realize that it was Kiyarah. She had fury in her eyes again. That was when he knew that he had said something wrong.
"Don't. Ever. Mention. That. Person. Around. Me. Ever. Again." Kiyarah's breath flared through her nostrils. Farah. It was her fault that she was having so much trouble being strong. It was her fault that she was having problems with Adam already.
"Does this have to do with Adam?" Tyler asked, feeling that now was the best time for possibly get everything out. He felt that keeping information in the mind was a horrible and very dangerous thing to do.
Kiyarah scoffed, wiping angry tears from her face. "Being with him, has opened my eyes as to why I hated vampires after my real dad abandoned me. They act so tenderly to you. And with every opportunity they get, they use it to stab you right in the heart. They are that cold blooded." Tyler's large comforting arms were around her again. "It's because of your stupid best friend that I feel that I can't trust Adam anymore. Even though I didn't show it, I trusted him to take care of one of my most favorite things in the world. And what does he do? He rips it to help your best friend, who went over the top just to protect someone that is just as strong as her! Marcus is a petty newborn for ******** crying out loud! And Farah uses all her unneeded strength to pin him down when even I can do it! The result? She breaks her shoulder! I tried to help her by asking her to get off of Marcus so that her shoulder could heal. But do you think she would EVER hear me out? Never! Because she never ever wants to hear what I have to say. And then I have the one guy I love, destroy something that I hold so dear to me. Just to help that b***h. I can almost hear the rip of those sleeves as Adam used them to make a sling for Farah. And I swear it hurts because now I can't help but feel that he doesn't---" He hasn't even said that he loves me. I'm so stupid.
Everything was being put together. And Tyler couldn't help but wonder if possibly there were some people that were enjoying Kiyarah suffer. He didn't mean to go against his best friend, one that he knew from birth. But Kiyarah was right. Farah did go over the top. And the result was a heart broken hybrid that was already dealing with a rough past. Tyler didn't exactly know what this past was, but he could tell through the pain in this girl's eyes that it was something that she just can't forgive and forget. Even though Kiyarah didn't exactly mention what this favorite thing was, Tyler knew it was the sweater that she had taken from Hugo during the first night they were assigned as Prefects. She had been cold one night and he had let her use the sweater. Ever since then Kiyarah had been attached to that sweater. So to hear that Kiyarah trusted Adam to take care of it until she asked for it back, only to have destroyed it, made Tyler question if this vampire really did have feelings for her. Adam was a good guy, for a vampire. But there were times when that guy could be a little on the short side of common sense. He scoffed silently. Adam was over a century old, and he made the most stupidest mistake ever. But then again, what if Adam didn't mean to do it? What if it was an accident? After all, this pureblood vampire was always one to try and fix as many problems as he could. But he has to realize that Kiyah is not just some school problem. She's a situation that he needs to take to heart, even if his is no longer beating. One blink later, Tyler realized that Kiyarah had rested her head on his lap. He didn't mind, it was a brotherly comfort whenever Kiyarah did this.
"This may hurt you a bit, Kiyah. But hear me out all right?" he whispered, looking down at the little figure resting on his lap. He watched her nod, almost feeling the pain she was feeling right now. He sighed and began. "What if Adam didn't mean to do what he had done? Maybe it didn't occur to him till late that what he did, ripping the sleeves of your all time favorite sweater, was wrong. I can understand why you're mad and why you would think that he truly didn't care for you. He has had a century to understand common sense. And he's lived with Star for a long time to understand a girl's feelings about their belongings and how trust plays a really strong concept to what they do. But there's also the fact that he's not a wise guy about this whole relationship thing. I think I remember one time when Adam had told me that he hadn't ever thought about finding a mate. It was during this time when me and him were talking and we sort of starting to talk about how werewolves imprint. He said that settling down was never one of his top priorties, how it was all about his family. So, to my guess, being a guy that's as family oriented as he is, I'm guessing that he's not prepared and does not understand how strong and how intense love could be when it came to someone else. Ever emotion; love, trust, pain, sadness, grief, happiness, joy, even hate. There's something about love that makes these feelings come out even harder and more painful. Maybe Adam hasn't exactly gotten that memo. After all, it took Adam one day to fall for you. And I know he has Kiyarah." She had turned to look right up at him now. Tyler was gald, this meant that she was listening and that she cared.
Tyler continued. "Last night, he stayed at your bedside just to check that you were okay. And once the pack went off to do their duty, he went back to check on you. If that isn't love then I don't know what is. I for one haven't experienced this kind of emotion. But from what I've seen, from what I heard, it's sure one hell of a stressful thing sometimes. And yet, people kill for it. I can tell you now, Adam is going to fight to keep you." There was a very long pause as Kiyarah pondered over this. And then she sat up, her hair sticking out at odd angles. He watched as she fixed her bun and then let out a sigh.
"How are you able to say the right words?" Kiyarah asked. This conversation shed some light over the reason why she enjoyed being friends with Tyler. He had this sort of knowledge that made him such a true friend. He always found the right words to say at the right time. And he was usually right. Kiyarah let out a sigh and smiled lightly. "Farah is lucky to have you as her best friend," she muttered, getting up and stretching her legs. Tyler got up as well, being a sort of shade for her. She hadn't realized that the sun had peeked out from behind the thin clouds. The warmth on her face as she stepped to the side felt wonderful. It had been weeks since the sun came out the way it did. This had to be a good sign. Realizing that it was probably time to get home, Kiyarah took off Tyler's jacket and handed it to him. But she stopped as he shook his head.
"Keep it. Consider it as a replacement for the sweater that Adam ripped. And if it became your new favorite, that would be pretty awesome," he said in such a relaxed voice that it brought a smile onto Kiyarah's face. "Heh, I don't mean to sound arrogant. But I believe that Farah would be in deep s**t if I wasn't around. Ever since we were kids I was the one to put some sense into her head. She's been through a lot having the weight of being the next Alpha on her shoulders. I guess me being her right hand man has brought her some comfort. I really care for Farah. The same way I care for you. It's the same for all my friends. It pains me to see any of my friends in pain. I just want to try and cheer them up as much as I can," he explained with a really proud smile on his lips.
With a nod, Kiyarah put the jacket back on and then pulled the shopsticks out of her hair again, shaking her hair out of its bun. "Thanks for being here to hear my thoughts. You're a really good listener. I wish there were more people like you here in Oak Point. And thanks for your ideas about Adam. I'll think about them more," she said as a grateful smile shined on her face. "I better go. I promised my father that I would be back home in an hour. I'll talk to you later, Ty." And with that, Kiyarah and Tyler said good bye to each other and went in opposite directions.
Tyler walked towards the Moon Dorms. He felt that he needed to talk to someone that wasn't dealing with the same situation as he was. Having to juggle two friends that were completely showing obvious dislike for each other. And the only person he could think of was his date to the ball. As he jumped up the steps to the entrance, Tyler sniffed the air for Pearll's scent and then walked over to Farah's room. He stopped however and went over to the front desk. Taking out a sheet of paper and a pen, Tyler scribbled a quick message and then asked one of his teammates in the soccer team, Jason, to give the note to Pearll. The note basically told Pearll to come to his dorm as soon as possible so that they could talk. And it also said for Pearll to tell Farah to feel better and that he would visit soon. Once Jason had left towards the direction of Farah's dorm, Tyler himself walked to his dorm, arriving in minutes. He dropped onto his bed, leaving the door wide open. He just laid there, staring blankly at the ceiling. For his last year at Oak Point. He didn't realize their would be so much drama already. And it was barely October.
As for Kiyarah, she did do as she had said to Tyler. She did go back home. But slowly. She had put her iPod on blast so that the world around her would be flooded out. She needed time to think to herself. She had to think about Adam and only him. If girls were confusing, being with a vampire was the most complicated thing ever. Kiyarah didn't know if her heart could take it. And yet, she found herself listening to the playlist she made dedicated to only him. "Against the World" by Robin Thicke was currently playing, and all the while Kiyarah felt that it basically explained her situation with Adam. What do I do? I want to talk to him, but at the same time I can't stand to see him. She let out a sigh, wrapping Tyler's leather jacket tighter around her. She wasn't cold at all. In fact she was feeling a little hot. But the warmth of Tyler's jacket really made her feel a sort of comfort. With another sigh, Kiyarah continued on towards her house. ll ooc:: I apologize for the length of 19 paragraphs. I got really into it. And also, I'm sorry it's sort all over the place at some parts. Switching from one character to another is kind of hard. ll

farah..elen..redding "I'm in love with your potential ...today Farah is {in pain}.
I'm in love with what you should be, baby." And with nothing more than a handshake, there was a peace treaty between the wolves and the vampires. Of course, she was still stuck in a world of shame where there was nothing but spinning in her world, but her hand remembered the cold pressure of Adam's, and now there was just to enforce it. Farah supposed that was the entire idea of this place anyhow. She'd written a note to Kiyarah, and stuck it in the pocket of her blazer. Farah wasn't sure she'd ever be ready to give it to her, but it was nice to have the option.
Farah leaned back again, once again shrouding her shoulder in ice. It was healing nicely, though perhaps not as quickly as Adam had suggested it would. She'd had to spend the remainder of the day sitting up straight, feeling very awkward in a bikini top that tied around her neck that she'd asked Pearll to tie for her. It exposed the swollen, sickening purple bruise that her shoulder had become. The ice melted every half hour, and after three attempts to use new bags, she was cycling them now, waiting for them to freeze again, fetching them from the freezer, and sitting against the wall until they'd melted again. Every hour and a half, she'd attempt to lift her arm above her head until the pain brought tears to her eyes. Then she would swear loudly and let it fall to the side again. The last time she'd tried it, she hadn't cried at all, but merely cringed. She thought it'd be about another hour before it was back to normal.
Impatiently, Farah tossed the ice aside and stared at the bulky hand-me-down cell phone she'd been sent to school with. "In case of emergencies," was what her father had said. She'd laughed at him, cocky, feeling invincible with the strength she'd inherited so quickly. With the healing that was so fast she barely felt the scratches and bruises and scrapes anymore. It was days like this when she realized what it was not to be invincible. That she realized how foolish she'd been for laughing, and never accepting that her body was so easily destructible.
"Baba? It's me. Listen, I broke my shoulder today tackling a vampire off of one of my pack and then made a peace treaty with the head of his dorm." Farah paused and waited for the laughter to stop on the other end of the phone. "No, I'm not homesick. I mean, I am, but it's true anyway. Baba, I don't think you should be disappointed in me," She said, clearing her throat so he wouldn't hear the emotion that was choking her. "You sent me here for a reason, didn't you? It couldn't just have been to watch them, right? It's not as if the Chancellor made any secret of what his mission statement was when he came to the rez. Yes, my shoulder is healing fast. The head of the Twilight dorm set it for me and put it in a sling before it could start healing off. No, he doesn't eat the other students.. No, he didn't try to kill me, he actually beat the hell out of the leech that tried to attack Pearll. She's in my pack, baba. Yes, the bubbly one. No, we didn't kill him. No. Because we would have been expelled. Yes, dad. Yes, I'm sure he'd be happy to help me rip him to fun-sized pieces if he shows up on campus again. I'm going to go and let my shoulder rest, but I wanted to let you know what happened today. Love you, too."
Farah leaned her head back lightly to the side that didn't hurt. She tried to take the hit to her ego, and satisfy herself with the idea that she'd finally done something right.

[ BenjaminFelixLeónardo ] ‡† You want me? Come get me. †‡
~ Feeling Okay. Felix cursed loudly, slipping open the door to the female vampies’ dorm. It was a longass day. And he felt mentally exhausted. First, he’d been disappointed when Star had pulled away and gave Felix his shirt back. But the weird thing was, he understood. How sometimes it was so important to know what your family thought and wanted before you jumped the gun. It was ripped a bit too bad to be repaired, the buttons mostly ripped off too bad to be fixed right now. But Felix had slipped it on anyway. It was the only thing he had to put on, unless he wanted to pull on one of Star’s fancy spandex dresses. Which he wouldn’t mind seeing her in. "Star, its okay. I… get it. Seriously." He said, surprised himself by his words, pulling her into a soft embrace. To be honest, Felix agreed with Star. He wanted this to be more special than the rest of the night-stands he’d had. Willing himself to concentrate away from her breathing, he could hear something else beyond the movement of her skin. She was aware of it, clearly. Felix cocked his head as Star rose from the bed frantically.
They had went from the room to the commotion. That had been quite an interesting sight. A bizarre mix of vampires, wolves, and the Halfling prefect. It had been interesting actually. And when Felix had spotted Marcus, he’d automatically bared his teeth and started in the vampires direction in offense. But then he’d noticed everyone else, and hung back. His reflexes and instincts were clamped shut tight, and he refrained from joining the large crowd. A large smile broke out on his face when Star gave Marcus a well-deserved punch in the face. 'Fiesty…' He thought, grinning widely when Marcus’s head snapped back. As for himself, he was satisfied. The runt had already gotten a minor punishment from Felix, and this entertainment should make up for the rest. And then… well, it had erupted into a full scale something after that. The alpha wolf had began to howl at the Prefect, who had gotten pissed and everything became slightly hectic. At least Marcus was gone and Felix let himself relax just slightly. And then Adam took over, making everyone leave. Felix had tried to catch Star, but it was a little too late, so he’d just gone along on his way.
And now, so long later, here he was. Unable to get enough of Star. He did regret having to stay away from her for so long. But still, the dance was drawing ever closer. Knowing Star would get a kick out of the whole dressing-fancy deal, he’d ordered his Forbes tux in advance, assured it would be delivered express as soon as possible. He couldn’t believe the amount of time spent on that: normally, something like that would take Felix half a minute to arrange in entirety. But humans weren’t quite as fast as vampires yet; Felix kept having to check himself from talking too fast on the phone with the bored human on the other end. And restrain himself from throwing the phone through the window in painstaking frustration. And now, here he was. Going, once more, to Star’s dorm. This time, he was convinced he wanted to talk her. That was all. He didn’t want to make out or get carried away into anything after that. If she wasn’t ready yet… well, Felix would just wait until she was.
He closed the door gently behind him and raced down the aisle of the dorm toward her room. He could still smell the stench of wolves, vampires, and the prefect all mingled in one here. It was really quite a weird odor, but you could certainly get used to it. He paused in front of it, feeling apprehension at seeing her again. At least he had a fresh shirt on. One that wasn’t ripped. One that wouldn’t rip as easily as the other one had. Not that Felix had intention of doing anything like that again. He knocked just lightly on Star’s door before opening it and gliding inside smoothly. The door closed softly behind him. "Star? Hey, you." He greeted her warmly once he was inside, then waited for her.
