As soon as the smoke begins to curl and collect around the ceiling of the spreading fires, you hear a loud BEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEP.
Seconds later, as the beep continues to shrilly blare through the dupled, it seems like it begins raining. You don't even see the sprinkler heads that the water pours from - it seems to be drizzling through pores of the ceiling itself.

Jamal's enjoyment of the fires was sorely killed when the sprinklers came on. He gave a snarl of frustration and looked skywards to see if he could find the sprinkler head, having never remembered seeing them before, and was soured to find that there weren't any. What the ********?! The shrill 'beep' noise hurt his ears, only adding to his irritation.
He tried to fan the flames of the blaze that had partially engulfed his bed but soon everything was sodden beyond flameability. <******** YOU," he screamed at the ceiling, grabbing at the nearest object, which happened to be a chair. If he couldn't burn the place down, he'd smash up.

About five or ten minutes after the sprinklers turned on, saturating the contents of Jamal's room, there was the noise of a skirmish outside, and about half a dozen irritated looking men appear in a jeep with fire extinguishers, fire extinguishing chemicals, and the like. There is even an oxygen tank and mask in the back of the truck and a collapsable stretcher.
There is the sounds of yelling as two men wearing strange-looking gas masks open the door, and then step back to access the situation.

The tiger man had started to trash the entire duplex via his new chair weapon by the time the noises came from outside. Almost anything and everything had been thrown, knocked over, or shattered in those few minutes. The rattling of the door knob caught his attention and he paused, panting heavily from the stress of moving about the room. His lungs hurt from a combination of stress and the smoke he'd inhaled, but he didn't seem to care much. All his senses were on hyper-drive. When the door swung open, Jamal paused, holding the beat-up chair in a vice grip and was momentally froze where he stood. Only momentarily.
Then, without warning, he screamed a flurry of curse words and flung the chair at the doorway with all his might, eyes blazing and teeth bared.

With a startled yell, the two men who had opened the door scattered back at the thrown chair response.
The men looked scared. Rumors had passed even among the lower staffmembers of "Mr. Reedy"'s violent temper, attack on Aubrey, and injuries to even fellow islanders.
With unsure looks exchanged between the men, and a glance at the charred sections of bed and carpet on the damp room and a look at the murderous look in Jamal's eyes, the man still in the jeep who was holding a strange device pushed hard on the button. But by the time Jamal would register seeing this, he felt the now-familiar tug away from his consciousness.

"GET DA ******** OUT," he snapped threateningly at the men as they scattered back, feeding on the obvious fear they both showed by subconciously hunching over as though he was going to pounce them and sink his claws in. Instead, Jamal went to grab at another large object, this time a side table, but faltered as his favorite sensation in the world (sarcasm sarcasm ;D) twinged at his neck and he tripped. He was engulfed quickly in darkness before he hit the corner of the bed on his way down, slumped in a pile next to pieces of soot and his soaked bedspread.

Even after Jamal crashed into the table and lay still on the ground, with a few smouldering fires littering the duplex where they had been shielded from the sprinklers, the labtechs milled hesitantly outside, almost as if unsure he was really unconscious.
Finally, one strode forward, grabbing the label of a second and together drug Jamal back out to the jeep while the rest went to work putting out the remains of the fire, and then doing their best to repair the other damage to the duplex.
Jamal, meanwhile, is hauled back into the lab facilities, taken into one of the medical rooms and treated for smoke inhilation.
He wakes up, eventually, in a solitary observation room in the labs. There is a white cot and a big 'mirror' on one wall that you suspect is likely one-way. The door is locked, and you are wearing paper gown but not much else.

Jamal had awoken some time later on his cot, his head buzzing with that oh-so-familar sensation that he associated with his last brush with Aubrey, and struggled to sit up. The sterile enviroment of the observation room automatically put him on edge and his whiskers bristles ever so slightly as he looked around to get his bearings. Where -was- he?
His temper was already flaring at this point as his nostrils flared when he exhaled noisely after realizing he was in a hospital gown of some sort. What. The. ********. He slid off the edge of his cot, wobbling some as he nearly lost his balance thanks to his disorientation, and used a hand to steady himself against the matress.
"So help me ********' god..." he rumbled, eyes flashing a quick circle around the room, and found that this room was void of anything aside of a mirror of some sort and a door. The mirror had an odd sheen to it...not quite like a regular mirror. In fact, this was like a scene out of some bad horror movie. The hair on his neck started to stand on end as the tiger already began to protest this 'confinement'. Was he being watched?
The first thing Jamal staggered to was the mirror-looking thing and he roughly slammed his palms against it as though testing it's durability. There was no way a mirror was going to be in this room unless it had another function. He'd seen these before...those one way mirrors at the police station were very similar to these.
Jamal pressed his palms heavily on the glass and he sneered into it in case someone was watching; he wasn't at an angle to where he might be able to distort the reflections of the glass and see through to whatever room might be on the other side. He even slammed a closed fist against it a few time, uttered more obscenities as he did so.
