the graves has the little stars on it, which meant that the graves were akuma. they found out that the only people krory was attacking were akuma in human form. besides, there wasn't anything in the graves, which led them to believe it even more. you know, akuma crumble into dust after they're killed.

allen, mad with grief from mana's death, sat at his grave. the earl came to turn allen into an akuma....and mana came back as the "almost akuma" in a skeleton form. he resisted killing allen, and allen's innocence reacted and killed "mana" anyways, mana cursed him for it (he didn't want to be brought back to "life"), and gave the pentagram curse to allen.
