"Because I know you," Sandra said, her voice shaking a little. "They were helping you because they told me you were in trouble and my subconscious had them help you with those demons." She still hadn't looked at him and she was still holding herself.

 "Then there shouldn't be a problem," Shiki said with an encouraging smile, "I won't do that again, not without telling you first, so cheer up! The plants are trustworthy right?"

Sandra nodded slowly. It was true that the plants had only taken what she was willing to give them and she had stopped before anything bad happened. And now Shiki would tell her so that now she could be prepared, so there shouldn't be a problem, right? She still didn't feel much better.

Shiki saw Sandra as she held herself and trembled in fear. He felt like crap for not telling her what he was up to, and felt even worse for getting in trouble in the forest; forcing Sandra to give the plants energy to help him win the fight. He sat down next to Sandra and put an arm on her shoulder, trying to encourage her that this was really going to be a one time thing. He was going to have to fight the need to kill from now on.

Sandra leaned towards Shiki unconsciously as she tried to get herself to calm down. Whenever she had trouble with her powers, she always felt better when someone had had their arm around her shoulders or held her hand. It was comforting. In the past it had been her brother or her father who had helped her, but now they weren't here. Shiki was doing a good job of helping her be calmer.

When Sandra leaned closer Shiki started hearing his pulse in his ears. It was a feeling between murder and...nevermind. Shiki gently shook his head to clear the sound away. There was no way he could have a crush on someone so quickly, and accompanying that feeling was a murderous impulse. It felt weird. But his heart rate was increasing a little and had gotten a little louder.

Sandra sat still as she worked to calm herself and it was slowly working. besides, if things get really bad, Shiki can just severe my magic flow like he did before. I don't need to worry about that, she thought and let out a small sigh. She had stopped shaking and now folded her hands in her lap instead of hugging herself. She was feeling much better now.

"How are you feeling?" Shiki asked. He was trying to ignore the murderous feelings he was holding. If he could ignore them around Akiha and Arcueid, then he could ignore them around Sandra.

"Better," Sandra replied, honestly. She sat up more straight whoch caused her to move away from Shiki. "Much better, thank you." She didn't think something like that was going to happen anytime soon and Shiki could help her. She didn't need to worry so much.

Shiki smiled a little. At least she was feeling better, "We came here late last night, so maybe we should wander around the town for a bit? There's a bit of plant life in the town. I bet they have some interesting stories to tell," Shiki said.

Sandra smiled slightly and nodded. "That sounds good," she said, thankful for any excuse to get outside again. She felt all cramped and stuffy when she was indoors, especially in a small room like this.

"Alright. Lets' go exploring then," Shiki said with a nod. He stood up and walked over to the side of the room close to the door. He turned around and waited for Sandra.

Sandra stood up and followed him. She opened the door and walked out into the hallway, assuming that Shiki was following her. Then she walked out into the streets and glanced around at the surrounding buildings.

Shiki followed closely behind Sandra and put the events of last night and this morning behind him, "This place is so small," He commented in awe.

Sandra just shrugged. "it's about the same size as the place I grew up in," she commented and started to walk down the street, feeling out for any signs of vegetation. She knew that once they got close to the forest, there would be a lot for her to see.
