Theonlyspiral It's rare indeed to find many people willing to eat meat that hasn't had the life cooked out of it these days. Katane nods emphatically, swallowing a rather large bite of steak. I completely agree. Give me that stuff as rare as you can.

Is basicly raw meat with a raw egg on top...it is possibly the most delicious thing I have ever had...I wonder is Usagi can whip some up...

The important thing about any raw dish is that you have impeccably fresh ingredients. Especially with the eggs, as salmonella can be a problem. I believe for that dish, you also grind/chop your own meat. Which is a good thing because then you can control the quality of it and the fat content. And also, it tends to be less contaminated than commercially processed chopped meats.

You can still tatse the bllod and all of the bacteria is cooked out. Well obviously it should be cooked enough to kill the bacteria, but it can still be rare. After one Summer of working in the food industry, I don't think I can do it again. I don't want to know about stuff like salmonella. I just want to eat good food.

My father used scare tactics on me so for the longest time my meat had to be completly brown all the way through other wise I would not eat it.

It was a LONG time after I'd taken the sanitation class that I wanted to eat out in a restaraunt again!

I had to get tested on all that stuff, and it was more information than I wanted. I have a friend who worked at McDonalds for a year, and ever since then he can't eat fast food. There are some things you just don't want to know.....

There are some things you just don't want to know..... The documentary "Supersize This" did that for me. I only eat at a couple chain fast food places now...Harveys, and Wendy's. Other than that it's all food from home or nicer resturaunts.
