My dad's squash plant had it's first fruit, it seems after the rains it really started kicking. It's just about a foot long and 4 inches wide at the base. biggrin
I also found that the sunflower seeds I accidentally dropped over my the fence dividing my neighbor and mine grew and are....blooming.
Can't explain how happy I was, but also sad too, since it's not on my side of the yard. *sigh* Funny how just right over the fence not even two inches away, things grow better there than in my yard.
I wished it would rain more over here. It rained a few days ago and it's already crisp again.

Packing today to travel back to college.
After two days of moderate rains my sunflowers have finally developed their heads, only a week or so before they open!
One of them already opened and how sunny it is! ^^
found a puff ball fungus on my lawn. And a yellow spirit mushroom in my aloe plant pot. 0A0!

Finished up a big crocheted bag that I made from jute to haul heavy stuff home from the store in. Bought a $2 Summer Clearance Grab Bag at Michael's with TWO (count 'em, TWO!) watercolor blocks (regular price, $27.99 EACH)! Did more online research on building sheepwagons, gypsy wagons, teardrop campers. Took some pictures of beautiful clouds at sunset after a full day of rain----finally!

Just knitted my first pair of yoga socks! After a summer's worth of crocheting, it was nice to do something different!

I learned that chestnuts fall to the ground yellow, and change rapidly to brown. I picked up a yellow one yesterday and today it had a little brown on it =)

Hm...I...watered my plants in the dorm and gave my room mate a back massage, because she didn't feel good today.

That is awesome about your professor lol. I've got about 7 more day's of fermenting left and then i need to bottle it up and age it and i'll be in business by Halloween assuming the flavors mellow quickly. Like i said first batch ever so who know's.

Yesterday we (husband and I) worked together to recycle most of a big wood crate from his job into a little (6 x 10) deck for the girls' room, and a little boardwalk to the brick walk . There's just enough room for 3 or 4 chairs and a couple of tables. Faces due east, so there's a great view of the animals and the sunrise. I cooked a bunch of little take-along meatloaves, mac 'n' cheese, brownies, etc. in muffin cups for everyone to haul to school and to work.
Can you tell that it finally cooled off here? blaugh

Naynram Ukir Can anyone post a good cider recipe, please? Seeing as my batch will be ready for bottling and tasting soon i'll let you know if it turned out and i'll share the recipe if it does. So glad its finally Fall (not officially...but according to me it is) temps finally fell out of the 80's and 90's and its a comfortable 60-70 degree's every day now. Need to finish fixing my blazer before winter so i dont end up spending a winter without a car...much less without my 4 wheel drive. Picked up an extra shift tonight so yeehaw big paycheck.

Good for you, extra ca$h! Had some running in town to do today. My youngest daughter pulled her first x-ray clinical training day in the Emergency Room today. She seems to have weathered a pretty rough day pretty well. Must be all those years of watching Grey's Anatomy.

Medical training via television show's...sounds plausible lol.
This weekend i get to replace my fuel filter and possibly pull my fuel injectors depending on how things go. After that project blazer repair should be done...then i just might pick up a plow and pull some odd jobs this winter for extra cash. At work tonight we spent some time cleaning up the receiving department because it was trashed and we broke down a bunch of damaged pallet's so my boss could have some free bon-fire wood. So i got paid to tear pallet's apart for about an hour.
