Kaos stops right before the hallway opens up into a stone room and lets go of the Children's hands, "Listen, you two stay here, and if he starts freaking out get back at least four feet from here and wait. If I'm still having troubles run, understand?"
They nodded, and as soon as Kaos entered into the room Bri dashed into Xack's arms and began crying again. he smiled and stroked through her hair, "It'll be okay, we'll be okay..."
Kaos stepped up to the dragon and cleared his throat, "Are you the one they call Vermillion... I was sent here by request of Yuma and Quannah to get you out of here."

"Have you come to honor your word and let me go and see my Mate and child?" Vermillion voice was tired and pained, and he brought his head around to stare at Koas with bloodshot eyes. "You are not a guard." Vermillion sniffs the air; "You have brought young meat near my lair." Vermillion sweapt his tail abround behind him knocking the pile of corpse pieces about the room behind him. "Give them to me now or i will call for the guards."

Kaos glared and put a barrier in front of the hallway closing off the room, "you cannot hurt them, I will destroy you despite my word to Yuma." He tried to relax slightly, but found his body almost too stiff to move, "if you come with me I can Show you your wife and child, but cannot bring you to them. I'm sorry, but that's all I can offer you."

Vermillion just exploded in a tirade of angry words that was very loud.
"They promised me the same thing, decades I have been here, decades i have asked to see them, and only the children they bring. Tell me to dispose of them and then they will take me too them, and you lock me in here as they do, you're their spy. You are here to hurt me like they do, empty promises, and only pain."

Kaos swung his hand as though to strike him across the face, and a large psychic hand smacked him, "Get a hold of yourself! I can give you proof that I will allow you to see your child and wife, but you have to calm down and lower your head to me."
Kaos thought for a minute, "What is your wife and child's full names if I can get a hold of them and get a clear image of where they are... I can show them to you right now."

Sorrow looked over at her watchers and they were busy talking admist themselves. She had managed a decent hole with her swords, and would stop when they looked over. Glancing over her back she noted a big enough hole to squeeze through, and waiting for her chance she made her escape. She sat down exactly like she was inside the barrier, as they looked over again, and not paying too much attention as to the depth of where she sat.
SalSoon looked up and Sorrow was gone; "What the hell, Quannah we have a breakout, i don't believe it, but she dug her way out the sneaky b***h." Quannah Looked int he distance as did her companions, covering all direction leading away from the island; "Crap she mustive got a hell of a lead started, or is taking her chances in the forest below."
SalSoon and Detrich got ready to go; "We'll head to Twilite Town and watch for her approach, she doesn't know the way there so we have the advantage there." Quannah nodded; "That's fine, just do not enter the town, or go anywhere near it that puts you at risk."

Vermillion brought his head back, his mouth parted a bit and the blood dripped from that sides teeth. "Mary Wo, and Abbigail Wo, hurt me as they did the last time, and you will join the bones lining this room."

Kaos sat down on the bloody cobblestone floor and grabbed a chunk of rock and began drawing a circle around him, "So, give me an accurate description of what Mary looks like and where the two of you lived."

Vermilion growled moving over to the doorway till his snout pushed at the barrier. He spotted the two children, then saliva mixed with the few drops of blood still coming off his teeth. "Mary has a orangish tint to her scales, we did live at a house in Arynia, five houses down from the left of the palace."
Vermillion eyes the children down the hall, and he went to back off, but lept forward his talons colliding with the barrier along with his head.

Kaos grabs Vermillion's tail and sneaks a peek of his wife from his mind, "Okay then..." He closed his eyes and began his search. after about ten minutes he finally felt something, "Hello, is this Mary? If so... you must hurry if you want your husband to survive much longer here... He wishes to see you and your child. Quickly find Abbigail and go to your home. There will be a strange purple cloud... Touch it and it will open... I'll expect to see you in ten minutes. Please hurry..."
Kaos fell backwards and sighed, "Now, we wait ten minutes... I made contact with your wife... she is hopefully going to get Abbigail..."

The portal opened and a rather young looking female looked confused. "Who are you, and what right have you to place this portal in my house?"
In the distance on the mary side of the portal. "Abby.......abby don't open it...." Mary come pounding into the room and Vermillion had turned his head to attack Koas. "Vermillion....." Vermillion halted closing his mouth he looked at the image.
There was a long moment of silence and vermillion just hung his head. The small tear dripped onto the bloodstained cobblestones; "Make it stop, they don't need to see this monster i've become here."
Abbigail looked confused; "Mom, is that dad in the picture?"

Kaos was deep in concentration, "now is one of the only times you will ever get to see them until they join you here. you might as well get out what you need to. I can only hold the link for ten minutes..." Kaos muttered.
He was pretty confident he could hold it up for at least ten minutes. He dropped the barrier protecting the children and they ran over to Kaos and grabbed his waist; their wings making a complete circle around him.

(since gaia ate my first post I'm going to skip through the lovey dovey family stuf)
A guard caught a glow coming from the chamber at the end of the hall. He came down as far as he dared; "Hey put out that light!"
Mary made the mistake of asking vermilion who that was. The guard poked his head in and noticed the two children at first. "Escapees..." Vermillion just waited for it already knowing what the guard was going to say.
The guard looked at Vermillion with a sadistic face; "You know what we will do to your family should you not do what we told you to do." Vermillion didn't move or say anything and it really got the guard pissed; "We'll see how far this courage of yours goes, I'll be back with the master." The guard made to leave, and vermillion hung his head. "Do not let them see what is coming sir, close this portal now, let them remember who I was."

Kaos began leaning over in pain, "Gah, I... I can't... someone... is forcing me to... keep it open!"
A man who was quite tall came out of the shadows and Laughed, "Foolish boy, Always trying to help others at all costs... now what are you going to do? i can hold you there all day... soon your power will drain and you'll be eliminated."
Kaos's eyes shot open, he shivered and glanced over his shoulder to see almost his double standing behind him, "... no..."
"Yes, dear Kaos, it's your beloved father!" He smiled and began circling his son with a twisted smile, "soon I'll have my revenge for all the horrible things you did to me..."
"But.. I.. I never hurt you... You always hurt me! you cut out my wings, tried to kill my mother several times, and cut me open to experiment on me!" Kaos shouted while falling to his knees from the pain he felt mentally...
"Percicely, you would help EVERYONE else... but your dear old dad... i helped give you life and you still wouldn't give me what i wanted. you selfish child! you're worthless! you always will be!"
"No.... no I can't... I can't be..." Kaos pleaded as his mind slowly began to fade, his vision blurring from the tears of failure falling down his face, "I don't want to go..." His body began fading from the feet up as his jewel began to crack.
Kaos's father began laughing hysterically and just as the portal was about to close Akuma rushed in and tackled her father forcing all of her energy into his body. The force of the blow knocked him out of the circle, closed the portal, and nearly broke Akuma.
Kaos rubbed his head and sat up, "Oww..." He glared over at his father who was laughing even harder now, then felt a hand brush his arm, "Akuma...? AKUMA NO!" Kaos scooped his daughter up in his arms and began crying, "No sweetie, why... why?"
Akuma smiled, "Well,... you're a b-black widow... so you can h-heal me."
Kaos pulled her close, "I'm so sorry Akuma... "
"Ha ha! You nearly Killed your own daughter! you're no better than I!"

Vermillion swept bones and corpes aside with his hand, looking for something, and when he found it he put it on. If vermillion looked like hell as a dragon, he really looked like walking dead as a human.
Looks were decieving, and amped up on the need to get out of there he dragged Xack and Bri away from Koas. He ground into their ears in a half growl; "If you stay here you will handicap him, he can do more once we are out of the way." Vermillion dragged them back up the hallway. The guard followed him, and a shadow detached from the wall and opened his guts up for him, the other stroke left his head lying on the floor spinning.
Sorrow wasted no time, from what she heard and seen go down this was not going to be easy, and she had perhaps one chance to strike.
She sprinted into the room, she took in Koas's fathers stance, size, and calculated her strikes in the few seconds it took her to cross the room. As she neared, the chances of sword strike were not favorable yet as his position changed at her coming towards him.
She swung her swords back till they ran the length of her forwarms and off her elebows. She put her shoulder down and aimed for the ribs, and hit him with every bit of momentum she had gained.

He saw her coming a mile away, but didn't care... what was a dagger in the gut going to do him... nothing! he was already dead! As her aim hit the mark he let out a slow laugh, "My dear, you just opened yourself up to a world of hurt..."
Kaos laid Akuma flat and dashed at his father to prevent the attack but it was too late... his index and middle finger rested lightly on her temples and sorrow let out a terrifying shriek of pain. Kaos dropped to his knees and grabbed her as she fell to the floor. He quickly hobbled away mumbling and sobbing over Sorrows body, constantly apologizing and crying as he scooped up akuma again and went to cower in the corner away from his father.
"See! you're weak! you can't even save them! just heal them and let them go. you'd be doing them a favor. give me your body for spare parts, and be done with it." His father approached with a butchers knife in his hand.
"Stay away from me..." Kaos's voice was deep and hallow, but full of warning.
"Oh, threatening me now? what are you going to do to stop me?"
Kaos took his hands and cupped them together to blow in them and then opened them to release a beautiful white butterfly. it fluttered over and around his father and then rested on his nose.
"Aww, attacking me with your favorite animal are you?" He laughed
"Kind of..." Kaos grinned as the butterfly blew up and shot his father across the room and almost through the wall. he pulled Yuma's arms up around his neck and scooped Akuma up in his arms. after he got the weight destributated he began to hobble out of the room. As he neared the end of the hall he heard a huge explosion and some footsteps pounding up in his head, "KAOS!!! COME HERE!"
He began running as fast as he could, then used the energy he had to flash step down to the main floor and out into the Institute yard. he rested Yuma and Akuma against a tree and kissed their foreheads, "I'm so sorry I got you both involved."
The doors of Twilite blew off and out came his father. he crooned, "Come here son, i just want to bond with you."
Kaos turned and glared, "Heh, I'm sure you do."
His father charged at him, and Kaos didnt move. The knife stabbed straight into him and they fell to the ground. his father ripped upward cutting Kaos straight open and slipped his hand inside to feel the warmth of his organs.
Kaos tried to squirm away but eventually gave in. Gave into the pain, into the struggle, gave into it all, and just took one last deep breath before he slowly slipped into oblivion, where he would join all of the abyss family...
