Tolly looked at Isabella and pointed at Ive; "Help her to Toole's house, it is closer, and allot safer and you can help out there in keeping that place safe. I just caught sight of Toole dropping into the palace courtyards, he looked to have a passenger so Ailes is probably with him."
Isabella nodded and came over to put the dagger away in her belt and put her hand around Ive's waist. "C'mon, its not far, and I really appreciate what you have done so far. I just wish I was better at fighting to have a bigger role in this, but i understand now what I must do in this battle."

Toole shot a gout of flame at the small door as few men of merrils came through it into their courtyard. They withered into burning heaps of flesh. "I'm sorry i've been an a**, but I really thought I would loose you again in that street. I tired really hard to get back to you, but..." Toole sighed; "You're right i can lament later let's just kill the problem once and for all."
"I agree with Akuma, will you shut the hell up and just kick some a**." Sorrow hopped down off the wall. She bowed to Akuma; "Its your show Akuma, you saw the amount of people she has, its not going to be an easy frontal assualt."
Then why do a frontal assualt at all?" Tolly strode out of the doorway from in the castle. "I believe i heard you were in charge of the mission, so how can I best serve your need lady Akuma?"

Akuma smirks, "well, to be honest this will be my first battle where the opponent is actually trying to kill me, so if you see me ******** up try to cover me... not to mention this is my first actual time fighting with a double-sided scythe, without the supervision of Chrono."
Akuma smiled and dashed off into the crowd from the sidelines you could see a blur of gray and Merril's men dropping like flies. Akuma and the Scythe danced a beautiful dance of death in the growing pool of blood and soon the land was covered in so many corpses that she couldnt move.
she glanced over her shoulder at Toole, "hey, ill jump you cremate the bodies?"
not waiting for an answer she launched herself high into the air.

Toole incinerated the bodies to ash, and Sorrow leapt at Merril as Tolly took up the few idots that tried to come to their leading mistresses aide.
Merril laughed at Sorrow as she dodged her attacks with ease, Sorrow was exhusted yet her hate of Merril was enough to push herself to death if that is what it took to defeat her. Toole set to taking out fools with his father while Sorrow worked out on Merril, which left Akuma as overall cover.
Sorrow stuided as she attacked and looked for holes in Merrils defense, but what worried Sorrow was she hadn't attacked yet she was primarily defensive which left a question as to how much power Merril had left. sorrow saw her oppurtunity and stabbed her blade into Merril with what she had left. Merril merely laughed and touching the blade she sent what she thought was a lethal amount of lighting downt he blade to send Sorrow flying back to hit the wall smoking.
Merril pulled the blade out of her with a hiss and staggered a bit; "Whose next?" Tolly moved over to start giving Sorrow first aid healing, while Toole took over watching for others coming to Merrils aide.

Isabella neared Toole's house and ran face first into a barrier, and stepping back she rubbed her nose a bit. "Ow...what the hell is that!" She pushed her hand against it hard and it was unyielding.

Akuma's power surged, despite her fathers warning. she flashstepped her way through the crowd Toole and Toleranth were taking on, "bring it on b***h!" Akuma hissed and launched herself at Merril swinging the back blade right for her neck.

"my my my, it seems we have a good ol' Rodasia psychic in this house... wonder if i know them..." Ive ran her hand across the barrier and let the dark Onyx power flow through her, "its...... its impossible... he's dead..." she stumbled back and helped Isabella inside, "well, looks like we have nothing to worry about here. if you wanted to you could try to escort as many people as possible to Tooles house. this is by far the safest place now."

Isabella nodded; "After I know you are resting inside and out of danger." Isabella helped her inside and Jezabelle helped her once she caught ight of Isabella doing work. She shooed Isabella off and took over and easily piloted Ive into the lounge area and sat her down on the couch. She picked up a pitcher and filled a glass with water and handed to you. She flipped to a page and held it out to her read; "please rest, lisa is cooking, would you like something to eat?"
Isabella came in a poured herself a glass of water and caught a glare from Jezabelle for doing so, and she sat down in a chair. "I don't need anything right now Jezabelle."

Merril ducked and moving forward, turning her hand to give a annoying zap to Akuma backside.

Akuma brought her second blade down, which unfortunately was facing up, and knocked her to the ground, "heh, gotta remember this weapon is double sided." Akuma laughed and swung her scythe again and almost took off her head, but Merril rolled to dodge.
Merril quickly got up off her feet and glared at Akuma. rubbing the back of her neck. she felt the blood pouring out of the deep wound Akuma left on her. she hissed as her eyes hardened and lightening began flashing all around the courtyard.
"ooh, i think i pissed someone off, " Akuma taunted as she swung her weapon back, ready for her next attack.
Merril drew the lightening into a ball around her hands and launched at Akuma, full force, aiming straight for her heart. just as she got near Akuma, and Akuma swung her weapon forward she launched over Akuma and thruster her right fist into Akuma's middle back, or kidney area.
Akuma fell forward and coughed up blood, "Damn you!" she whipped the scythe out at her as though she was going to fling it. Merril's natural instinct was to jump but that ended up being her downfall, for Akuma grabbed the back blade of her scythe and spun it around a lateral plane and caught the top blade straight through her back. the force of the blow threw Merril to the ground and the blade sunk deeper into her and pinned her down
Merril cried out in pain and sent a huge jolt up the blade. Akuma let go of the blade letting the ground absorb the shock, "aww, you'll be fine... just enough for me to experiment on you."
Merril turned her head to the side and looked back at Akuma, "what do you mean "experiment"."
Akuma came up and strattled her body pulling her arms behind her back and putting a barrier around them to hold them in place, "well y'see, if i were to leave you here they would take your jewel and either let you rot in a cell or set you in a coliseum and let Sorrow rip you to pieces"
Merril’s eyes darkened in her defeat. Akuma almost felt sorry for her, but offered another alternative, “I have another use for you. Either way you‘re going to die, but this way I get some information out of you… I‘m going to bring you down to the Abyss alive and see how long you can last before the creatures of the Abyss kill you. One, it gives you the opportunity to see how powerful you really are and two it gives you a chance to at least fight for your life. Whereas here Sorrow would just rip you apart.”
Merril groaned from the scythe through her back and the blood draining from her body, "fine, just get off of me."
Akuma smirks and pulls the scythe out of her back, then yanks her to her feet.

"Cut her loose, let her die here, and you can play with your toys later Akuma." Sorrow growled as she used her swords to get back on her feet against Tolly's better judgment. "Shut up father, you always play it safe with me when i'm hurt, but always send me into places i can die." Tolly sighed shrugging a bit backing away to help Toole once more.
Sorrow looked at Akuma; "Cut her loose, or my blades go against your sycthe to the death."
Merril laughed; "You are too late Sorrow, always too late, I've made my choice and you are denied satisfaction of my death. You will never know who killed dear old mom."
Sorrow seethed in burning hatred, but the leash of honor kept her from launching her vile rage upon the helpless Merril.

Two large lighting bolts shot up from the other side of the palace walls and the arcs spidered harmlessly in the sky. Everywhere in the city the invading army broke off its attack and began elusive retreat

Akuma sighed, "well dear, if you're that bent on revenge... you can always join the crew for a few weeks... get a bad concussion... coma... incredibly deep sleep... whichever... but you might want to hurry, because the miasma will kill her in a week without her ever taking damage from anything else." Akuma waved her hand and Merril disappeared to the nearest graveyard, where she'll be transported to the Abyss.
"Tis your choice, love." Akuma smiled and began the long trek back to Toole's house.

"Sorrow...!" Sorrow spun around to Toole voice; "Can't you see i'm busy!" Toole tail folded her body near in half and its accleration threw her past Akuma to skitter and slide to a stop.
Toole reached her in ten steps and very gently picked her up in his mouth and took off for her house which was across the city.
Tolly took up step beside Akuma; "I appreciate your aide in this conflict Akuma, and apparently Toole didn't give her the choice. She'll be grumpy, but i'll bet you can manage without too much trouble."
Toole walked back the long way so he would have a chance to calm down from the battle. He looked up at the window of his room, and then back down again to watch where his feet were placed.

Akuma looked irritated and apparently seemed to be ranting to whomever would care to hear it, "MANAGE WHAT! i'm not going to kill the immature little b***h! she'll die by the fate of the Abyss! i'm just there to bare witness, and i wont even be there for her death, she'll just show up in front of me when she's dead so i can track how many days it took."
Akuma sputtered about kicking rubble and cursing up something about having no one to talk to... then she finally made it back to Toole's to find that everyone was having a perfectly normal lunch... which kind of scared her because she had just walked out of a war zone into a perfectly normal scene.
"hello...?" Akuma mumbled as all the heads at the table turned to her.
Suddenly a flash of blond tackled her to the floor battering her with questions like, "is Toole okay?" and "was the war bad? was there a lot of casualties?" or "Can i help with anything?"
"Ailes, get off of me..." Akuma hissed as her sister got up and helped her up too, "your fricken boyfriend is fine. he just has a few bruises and a bad attitude... not to mention he stole my company..." Akuma looked around as the heads became concerned, "oh! for the love of christ! they're all fine! everything's fine! Merril has just been transported to the Abyss to serve her sentence... which is a slow and painful death of poisoning and fighting for her life against demons three times the strength as her." Akuma wondered about the kitchen and passed her father who mumbled, "how's Sorrow? isnt she upset about the verdict?"
Akuma stopped two steps away from her father, turned, and shouted, "y'know what! why dont YOU go and abduct her!!!" then stormed out of the dining area.

Toole was heard yawning coming from the back of the kitchen, his talons clicking on the stone floor.
Toole slipped his amulet on, and his human form looked worse then his dragon form. The pain was also concentrated in this form and he stiffled the scream, and took the amulet off. This off course opened allot of the partially healed wounds, and he pushed open the doors to the dining room bleeding from several places.
He tried to smile, but a smile on a dragon that was several shades darker from soot and ash, not to mention slightly green in areas from blood, and had several if not more blackened spots where lighting had hit his scales.

Ailes froze at the sight of Toole. Tears came to her eyes for the fact that he was alive, but her eyes showed nothing but pure horror at the condition he was in. she slowly staggered to his arms and lightly caressed him crying, "what happened to you..."
She helped him over to a rug and laid him down, "Dad make me some tea... this could take a bit... mom come here and be my aid."
Kaos ran to fetch the tea pot and get some water boiling, and Ive rushed over with some rags soaking in water. Ailes slowly undid Toole's shirt and began healing the worst wounds, when she ran out of energy, she switched to making potions.
Finally Kaos came back with the tea, a special blend of his that helps recover energy, and Ailes had a few cups then continued healing. It took a few hours, but she had Toole up and moving within three hours.

Well Toole tried to explain himself the best he could. "I was only going to go and drop someone off to go tell my father and Isabella what was going on. Then i was fighting my way back here and well i was pressed into service in flying passes, provided mutual aide, and gave Sorrow her chance at Merril."
Lisa shook her head taking a sip of her tea; "How many drops did you use?"
Toole's arms fidgeted on its own as Ailes began to heal it, but he suppressed it before answering. "5, she'll be down awhile, but not knowing how it works i just set her in bed. I left orders to the guards that no one disturbs her period. Even if she never makes it into the abyss 5 weeks of sleep will do her good."

Akuma smirks, "well then, i'm going to check the progress on Merril. And i'm sure Chrono is pissed beyond belief."
Ailes jolts to her feet and grabs Akuma's arm. Akuma flinches and then glares back at Ailes, "What?"
Ailes cowers slightly then stiffens up with the little courage she has against her sister and says, "i need to heal you first! you can't leave till i heal you!"
Akuma stares at her, "do i look injured to you!"
Ailes smiles, "you got a barrier up silly! you're trying to be tough and not worry everyone."
Akuma pauses then sighs.
"Let it down, Akuma." Kaos touches Akuma's arm and waits.
Feeling backed into a corner she lets the barrier fall to unveil her battle damage. her wings were basically bone and she had deep wounds pouring blood all over her arms and legs. her tail slowly uncoiled from her waist to reveal scraps all down it, and her back was missing a few layers of skin.
"there, you happy now?"

Toole stretched his limbs glancing at Akuma's injuries; "Probably a smart idea, had I known, you probably would have spent more time arguing with me over seeing a battlefield healer then actual fighting." Toole slid his amulet on now and moved over to pick up a large bowl basin, and returned from the kitchen with some fresh hot water and clean cloths draped over his shoulders.
"Alright Ailes i got this part covered, I can hold the bowl while you tend, least I can do since I'm too close to my limit to do any effective healing."
Tolly stood up from the table; "We can't let her do all the work, its not right, I'm not exactly at my limit, i can do a few things yet healing wise, I'd say enough to get her wings back to looking alright."
Lisa shook her head; "I'm busted on magic, used allot multitasking, and bolstering the doors when i figured out we could be seen again. Thankfully the kind gentlemen came and told us we no longer had to worry about doing that anymore."
Toole spoke up; "That's right, i never did catch his name either time we met on the battlefield..." Toole looked right at Kaos; "granted in the middle of a fight is not the best place for introductions, but by what name do you go by?"
