Mallory was absolutely certain Lance was just waiting for him to ask. He could swear he saw a twinkle in the man's eye from across the room. It would probably save Mallory some embarrassment if he accepted the statement at face value and did not inquire. However, his curiosity was like a live thing, bouncing about his head, demanding to know. What was one more layer of embarrassment? It was not as though he could turn any more red than he already was. During this brief period of quiet thought Mallory had been subconsciously biting on a knuckle. It snapped him back to attention when he managed to p***k himself with a fang. "What is it that you do for work, monsieur?" Mallory finally asked, licking away the one small, bright red dot of blood that rose from his puncture.

Alphonse raises his brows in surprise as Alexia stresses the word friends. Then a knowing smile graces his lips. He chuckles as Lance's talent is revealed. "Mademoiselle, as a fellow thespian how can I not be impressed with such a man? In fact, he and Mallory have that much in common. Not that you are ever likely to see Mallory dance these days. It is a shame. An absolute waste of a beautiful talent. Ah, listen to me drone on like an old man!" Something Alphonse would never concede to being in front of a lovely woman. "Am I keeping you from your friends?"

Lance slipped his feet off the edge of the arm rest and sat up. "Well, I'm an escort, but I also do some dancing." He grinned brightly. "But when you live in a home with five other four other escorts you don't really have to change your clothing when you come home." he shrugged. "What do you do for work Mal?" He had decided that Mallory's nick name had been decided, Mal seemed nice, But maybe he would be upgraded to Mali.

Al Blushed She stepped back until she felt Johnny's chest on her back. "Lance has a much different way of dancing than Mallory." She said and looked down for a moment. Once her face lightened she looked back up. "You may stay with up if you like, We where just cleaning a little." Nate snickered and turned back into the room Lexi had not been cleaning but the boys had. Her room was the only room in the house that had not been thoroughly cleaned that year, in fact it had not been reorganized in five years.

"An escort? That ... actually sounds rather exciting. I am not gainfully employed myself. Usually I assist mon père. He is a dance instructor. I have no idea what I would want to do myself. Perhaps something a bit less exciting than your profession. I do not think it would suit me." Mallory smiles in the innocent way of a fellow that takes escort to mean just that and nothing even a lick more dirty. "All of you are escorts? Does this not cause a certain amount of rivalry?"

"Cleaning? It seems you are always working, mademoiselle." Alphonse can guess what sort of dancing Lance does, but it simply does not concern him. Just another interesting fact to tuck away in his mind.

Franky woke up, and stumbled into the hallway, crashing into the wall. "Hello? Anyone here?" Franky screamed, he always seemed drunk when he first woke up.

Lance tilted his head to one side; the boy seemed to have the wrong idea. "Mal, I'm the other kind of 'escort'," He laughed. "And no, we all have regular customers, except Nate, he works for a host club." He stretched his arms over and behind his head. "And to do what I do, well it suits most everyone." He did not wish to say exactly what he did mostly because he worried that Mal might run off.

Al shrugged I have nothing more to do." She smiled brightly as Johnny put a hand on her shoulder. "Come join us if you wish." She turned and led them back into her room. They all went back to the piles and organizing, all sat cross-legged on the bed and went threw a pile of knickknacks.
PostPosted: Sat Sep 20, 2008 7:56 pm

"The other kind? I am afraid I do not know what you mean. What is it exactly that you do? And what is a Host Club? I know so little... how embarrassing; I must seem like an ignorant child to you." Mallory speaks apologetically though he still hopes Lance will answer his questions. He did not know why he was so curious, but everything Lance said made him want to hear more about this lifestyle.

"I do wish, of course. I never walk away from good company, chère." Alphonse stood next to Alexia and curiously picked up a knick-knack from the pile. He would have never imagined Alexia as the type to accumulate bric-a-brac.

Lance thought a moment, "Ever heard of a high class prostitute?" He asked putting his pointed finger in the air at eye level next to his face. "Because that is pretty much what I do." He nodded, than thought of how best to descried a host club. "A host club is very much like a tea house. Except it is run by pretty young men not ladies and you are a member like a contrary club. You chose a host that you spend a lit of time with and drink alcohol." He sat up straighter. "Don't be embarrassed, At one time I also was as naive as you honey."

Alexia took one piece of junk out of the pile and placed it into a paper bag that served as a trash pile. Most of it was just stuff, but some had meaning to her. "You look surprised." She said and looked up at him, a smirk gracing her face. "I don't have much time for myself; this room does not get as much attention as the rest of the house.

Franky finally got up and went searching for Mallroy. The drunken affects had worn off finally after five minutes of non-stop screaming. "Mallroy?"

"Mon dieu. You are serious. A modern day male courtesan." Mallory had shot right past shock into a state of stupefaction. Of course on some level he was aware that prostitution, like any other profession, had its distinctly defined levels of class. He had heard more than his share about such things from his father and under duress. But being aware of such a thing was entirely different from sitting and having a chat with a... an adult entertainment professional. Mallory ran a hand through his hair, the universal gesture of a mind overwhelmed. "I do think you are incorrect." He says finally. "I do not think so many are suited to such employment, non. Surely I am not; can you even imagine? I would die of embarrassment. I hardly even see myself au naturale."((Edit)) Mallory hears his name called and somehow this is even more embarassing than his current conversation. He thinks his face my burn off as he reluctantly calls out "In the parlour."

"Non, non, ma belle. I am only surprised you collect such things. I did not imagine it of you. How many do you have?" Alphonse asks idly, reaching for another of the figures.

Lance grinned wider. "Sweetie, anyone will give away their body for money, what they really care about is the amount." His face faded to only a smirk and he stood, walking a few steps pointing his toes as he did. "Moun Deuw?" he asked after making his point. The boy's causal additions of French into the conversation had thrown him. "What does that mean?" he turned in a small circle standing in front of his chair once more.

Al shook her head. "I don't collect them, People leave them behind." She corrected him quickly. Most of them were religious figures, A few years ago many of the people they had safe guarded were fleeing religious persecution. "It's not uncommon for people to forget things when they find someplace better to move on to."

Franky walked over to the parlour and knocked on the door. He did not want to be rude, and from what he could hear from Mallroy's thoughts he did not want to know.

"Mon dieu. My god." Mallory replied absently as he gave thought to Lance's words. Anyone? Mallory tried to imagine selling his body, but he could conjure no such image in his mind. On the off chance Lance was correct... what was his price? Mallory shook his head briskly. Truly, what foolishness he was thinking! He intended to do no such thing and so the question was most certainly moot. He wondered what Lance's price was. He wondered how one even acquired a list of regulars. For such a carnal occupation, the inner workings of it sounded as mundane as ordering a magazine subscription.

"C'est vrai. I have managed to misplace possessions in the same manner. But why do you keep them?" Finally Alphonse returns the figures to their pile. His interest in religion had faded to the nonexistent long ago. "Would it not be simpler to discard them?"

Lance nodded filing the new word into his mind. "May I ask what you’re thinking?" He plopped back down into the chair and pulled his legs up to rest on the chair in front of him. "Wait, let me guess!" He thought a moment. "You’re thinking about how a man Dresses When he takes me out for dinner?" He grinned confident that he had hit the nail on the head. That was the only thing that he could be thinking about because it was the only thing that really mattered to Lance.

Al shot him a look of horror. "I can not simply discard them!” She did not raise her voice bit the pitch did change. "To thoughs people who forgot them they meant a lot." She picked up a small figure of a woman in a blue hood, and white dress. "Like This one, It belonged to a woman who lived here for three years. Everyone who lives here eventually becomes like one of my own children." she put the figure back down and picked threw the pile.

Mallory blinked at Lance and found himself answering, "Yes... I was wondering that very thing." No one had entered the parlour; there was only a knock. He could sense it was Franky; vampires, especially older ones, tended to have their own 'feel'. How odd; why was he just standing there? "Come in, Franky. It is not locked." Perhaps he had only decided he did not wish to enter this conversation. But then would he not leave?

Alphonse was surprised by the very strong opposition to his suggestion. "Pardonner, Alexia. I meant no disrespect. But tell me, what do you intend to do with them all? Will you keep them always?"

Lance nodded knowingly. "Come in! Don't be shy! It's not like your interrupting anything Frank" He called to who ever had knocked. "Oh, and men usually wear a suit when we go to dinner. It's kind of cute really." He laughed loudly and stood again jumping a little as he did.

Al shrugged. "I don't really know. Nate walked over to the bed and set a card-board box next to her. "You will throw them away now." He instructed and she did as she was told. Nate patted her shoulder and walked back into the closet. He smirked as he walked away, she would never disobey him.
